전기자동차 구동을 위한 IPMSM의 최대 토크제어 (Maximum Torque Control of IPMSM for Electric Vehicle Drive)

  • IPMSM은 고효율, 고성능으로 전동기로서 전기 자동차의 적용분야에 적용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 전기자동차의 구동을 위하여 PMSM의 약계자 영역에서 최대 토크제어를 제시한다. 최대 토크동작을 위하여 최적 d축 전류를 결정하고 이 전류를 각 제어모드에서 사용한다. 최대 토크를 발생하기 위하여 전류 조절기의 출력인 인버터의 출력 전압은 DC 링크전압을 최대로 이용한다. 제안한 IPMSM 최대 토크제어의 특성을 제시하고 타당성을 입증한다.

Dynamic decoupling and load desensitization of direct-drive robots by current feedback

  • Direct-drive robots have excellent features including no backlash, small friction, and high mechanical stiffness. However, dynamic coupling among joints as well as nonlinear effects become more prominent than traditional robots with reducers. Another critical issue is that the robot becomes more sensitive to the change of load. In this paper, we develop a simple current feedback scheme for reducing the influence of dynamic coupling and load sensitivity on the direct-drive robots. The method is implemented on a 2 d.o.f. planar direct-drive robot. Then the validity of the method is demonstrated through experiments.

  • The base/gate drive suppression method proposed by Joshi and Bose is that which detects the output current polarity of the leg and, according to the polarity, suppresses the base/gate drive of one of the ore switching devices of the leg. This method has the merit that it does not have the conventional dead time problem, reduces the power loss of the driving circuit and others. But this method has difficulty in implementation. In this paper, a new base/gate drive suppression method by detecting not the output current polarity but the output voltage polarity is proposed. The proposed method is easier to implement than Joshi and Bose's method.

  • This paper describes the dynamical performance of a four-quadrant circulation current mode control of dc motor drive, using the controlled flywleeling technique, a four-quadrant closed-loop control drive with an inner current control loop and a speed fuzzy PI regulator is designed. The obtained computer simulation results of a dc motor drive below and above the base speed are demonstrated. These result show that compare to a conventional dual-converter-fed dc motor drive with simultaneous control, the overal system performance has been improved and also, agood stability and robstness has been achieved.

  • In this paper, a three phase voltage source inverter synchronous motor drive is introduced which is capable of producing an approximate to sine-wave currents in the stator windings. Compare to a conventional current forced synchronous machine drive, for the same machine loss, a gain in out put per unit overall volume of 125% at a 50Hz supply frequency has been achieved. In addition, the torque pulsation has been drastically reduced. These improvements are achieved by introducing new rotor windings which are capable of controlling the stator current waveforms an approximate to sine-wave. A computer program has been developed which can be used to predict the dynamic performance of this drive/system. The paper describes the design of rotor windings for cylindrical rotor motor but the theory is equally applicable to salient-pole designs.

  • The paper is proposed intantaneous torque control of IPMSM for drive of wide speed range. The control scheme is based on the mathematical model of the motor and is applicable to the constant torque and field weakening operations The scheme allows the motor to be driven with maximum torque per ampere (MTPA) characteristic below base speed and it maintains the maximum voltage limit of the motor wide field weakening and the motor current limit under all conditions of operation accurately. For each control mode. a condition that determines the optimal d-axis current $i_d$ for maximum torque operation is derived. The proposed control algorithm is applied to PMSM drive system for drive of wide speed range, the operating characteristics controlled by maximum torque control are examined in detail by simulation.

  • The main objective of the research is to Propose an algorithm that to estimate the screwing torque from parameters of DC motor current without using any stain gage and torque cell. The auto screw drive system is divided into two parts, one is the DC motor ind the other is mechanical part in which the friction torque and damping ratio are a function of rotational of spindle electro motive force constant. The torque is estimated from the friction torque. The research is concerned with applying the method to an auto screw drive and the advantages and limitations are also discussed in this paper.

  • The switched reluctance drive provides a good adjustable steed characteristics like a D.C series motor. However, because of the torque production mechanism, it also has some disadvantage such as higher torque ripple and fluctuation in speed. To reduce torque ripple and to control speed precisely at low condition current level technique is adopted. The SRM drive with current control of invariable frequency and phase swichting control has good speed regulation characteristics. Digital control system with an 80c196kc micro-controller is used to realize this drive system. Test results show that the control system has the goof ability to achive precise speed control at low speed.

  • Interior permanent magnet synchronous motor(IPMSM) has become a popular choice in electric vehicle applications, due to their excellent power to weight ratio. The paper is proposed maximum torque control of IPMSM for high speed drive. The control method is applicable over the entire speed range and considered the limits of the inverter's current and voltage rated value. For each control mode, a condition that determines the optimal d-axis current $^i{_d}$ for maximum torque operation is derived. The proposed control algorithm is applied to IPMSM drive system for high speed drive, the operating characteristics controlled by maximum torque control are examined in detail by experiment.

  • A simple drive circuit without position sensors for a switched reluctance motor is presented. The turn on and turn off points are determined by detecting the rate of change of the active phase current. The drive circuit consists of a current sensing resistor, RC filter, comparator, OP Amp, and OR gates. It is verified through the experiments that the switched reluctance motor with the proposed sensorless drive circuit is well operated in wide speed ranges.
