This study is to clarify the true meaning of christian ceremonial dress, based on the Biblical background, by examining the origin and the symbolic meaning of the Catholic ceremonial dress. The influence of the Liturgical movement on the ceremonial dress and the changes in the symbolic meaning of the Christian ceremonial dress are studied. This research also aims to closely examine the difference in Christians' consciousness on the Christian ceremonial dress such as gown, stole, and clergy shirt. It aims to provide basic resources for the education and further study on the Christian ceremonial dress through reconfirming the basic understanding and the symbolic meaning of the Christian ceremonial dress. As a result, according to the lesson of the Bible and the ideology of the Reformation, it is suggested that priests should wear regular suits or the traditional Hanbok rather than wearing gown or Roman collar. However, if most of Christians believe that it is critical to wear ceremonial dress to project holiness and seriousness during the service, it is suggested that priest should wear gown only and avoid Roman collar and stole because they only show the hierarchy of priests. Accordingly, there is a hope in this research that the knowledge of ceremonial dress could be re-defined based on the Evangelism in the Bible though the results of the study.

In this paper, various shapes of collar of the casual Korean dress at present are analyzed and are also surveyed the origins from which such designs are derived. Collars of the casual Korean dress are to be classified into Round-collar, Mokpan-collar, Dangco-collar, Knife-collar, Baja-collar, Danryoung-transfer-collar, Double-collar, Transfer-collar, and so on. Round-collar, Mokpan-collar, Dangco-collar, Knife-collar, Baja-collar, Danryoung-transfer-collar, Double-collar, Transfer-collar are motivated from the classical types of collar during the dynasty of the Choxian and adopted without any modifications. However, modifications to meet modern sense with the basic motif on the classical types of collar are applied to Transfer-collar where all kinds of collar shapes since ancient times are referred for modifications. In addition, collars such as Double-collar, Hi-neck-collar, which are not found in the classical Korean dress, could be said to be created only for the casual Korean dress From the above, it could be seen that most collars of the casual Korean dress are based on the shapes of the classical Korean dress. Therefore, it could be also confirmed that the casual Korean dress design has its identity originated from the classical Korean dress since the ancient times.

This research thesis is designed to put Korean traditional and unique wedding dress with a greater significance and value than any other dress into application right for the global and contemporary trend, as part of a bid to show Korean traditional beauty. To do it, this thesis has attempted to add the traditional beauty to Korean inherent wedding dress and contemporary wedding dress, with the use of various traditional beauty elements, such as the line firm, materials and color based on the research on wedding dress, such as, 'Wonsam' or 'Unlined Jacket, and 'Long-sleeve Red Silk Jacket', and 'Dangeu' or 'Court Suit' that women wore in the Joseon Dynasty. To recreate Korean traditional beauty of line this research thesis has firstly put into the application the sleeve of 'Wonsam' or 'Unlined Jacket' and the form of a large section of 'Wonsam' of 'Unlined Jacket', and 'Doreyon Line' or 'Trimming Line' of 'Dangeu' or 'Court Suit' as wedding dress that women wore in the Joseon Dynasty. Secondly, this thesis has applied lotus and peony patterns out of traditional ones inlaid with 'Long-Sleeve Silk Jacket' into the contemporary wedding dress to develop a creative and special design. Thirdly, regarding the expressive pattern technique, this thesis has designed the repetitive rhythmical pattern with the use of beading technique and embroidery technique, which makes needle work picture and pattern in fabric. Lastly, it can demonstrate the original and distinct Korean style in application of western wedding dress into traditional and contemporary dress, by devising two collections of dress art pieces.

To improve the standard of living of its citizens, local festivals is located in one axis of the new culture. These symptoms shows that there is increasing awareness of traditional culture such as Hanryu. The purpose of this study is to develope the presentative Dress of Andong International Maskdance Festival to stimulate curiosity and participate easily. 24 villages in Andong were present to represent appropriate Dress of Maskdance Festival which have been announced through the fashion show. The characteristics of the maskdance dress which presented in this study has the purpose of making the specialties of each village to tourism resources. Characteristics of the maskdance dress which designed to blend on the mask was as following. (1) Maskdance dress should shown well and must have strong durability of strenuous exercise in maskdance (2) Maskdance dress should be able to get the sympathy of the spectators. (3) Maskdance dress should be sympathetic as modern costumes. (4) Aesthetics as custumes and requirements as product must be met. (5) Acceptance of Andong region's traditional beauty is required. (6) Maskdance dress is likely to require long-term use. (7) Maskdance dress must be able to accommodate a variety of body conditions. Through customer satisfaction survey of 158 spectators and 48 members of fashion show, the relevance of masks and costumes, aesthetic and motility of costumes, commercialization potential, especially costume' motility and functional fitness of clothing sizes was highly evaluated. So maskdance dress or stage costumes as long-term development is likely to be considered. And continued research is needed.

The purpose of this study is to develop a wedding dress design using digital clothing program to produce an actual dress. The level of actualization of the wedding dress design through digital clothing was evaluated by comparing the shape, ornament details, material, and tone. Also, the direction of improvement was sought by apprehending the limitations for the future of wedding dress design created by digital clothing. In order to evaluate the level of actualization on major design techniques of wedding dress, design planning of 4 dresses was performed based on the major images of wedding dresses. Virtual dress was created using DC Suite program and an actual wedding dress was produced using the pattern created in the process of virtual dress designing. The wedding dress designed by digital clothing was superior in silhouette or expression of pleats, but they rather lacked in expressing corsage, 3-dimensional objects, sheen material or double material. However, by supplementing a few functions, digital clothing can be effectively utilized in wedding dress design with the convenience and speed of digital operation. The digital clothing performs rapid production in the design development stage, modifies simply and confirms in real time and is highly effective, Therefore, if a program designed for wedding dress is developed, its effectiveness will be improved to maximize the customer satisfaction, and it will significantly reduce the time and cost which will make a great contribution to the wedding industry.

The porpose of this research is helping product developments and establishment men's marketing strategies. This contents are divided into two parts; the dress shirt's wearing condition and the dress shirt's buying condition. The subjects of the research were male that aged 25-50 and their company is resided in Seoul. The conclusion of this research is summarized as below ; 1. Many consumers have wrong term recognition of dress shirt. Most of men know their dress shirt's sizing designation as casual method(ex, $\cdots$95, 100$\cdots$). Therefore it is happened fitness complains. Dress shirt's wearing frequency for a week is 1-2 days or 5days mostly. A number of dress shirt’s wearing period for one is 6-12 months. Dress shirt‘s wearing frequency fand wearing period varies according to their age, unmarried or married situation, scholarship, occupation. So the manufacturer of men's dress shirt grasps the factor's for their character. 2. The conclusion of dress shirt's buying motivation is need better than impulse buying. If company planning season event, the selling will be improved. Most of men buy their dress shirt by themselves. It means a lot of men are interested in their clothes comparing to old days. And men's favorite purchase place is a department store and agent. when they purchasing, the color and size is very important factor. But dress shirt's sizing designation is not yet established. Therefore the dress shirt's sizing designation is needed as possible.

The purposes of this study are to examine clothing businesses which are using dress forms and grasp the problems in apparel manufacturing process, to verify the size and shape of the dress forms for uniformity, to ascertain the uniformity between the dress forms being sold today and the somatotype of the target consumers. The following results were obtained. First, most of the clothing businesses used the existing dress forms in the company. The dress forms didn't reflect the somatotype of the current consumers. And the users satisfaction was below the average. Second, the size and shape of the dress forms being sold today had lack of uniformity between themselves. Third, the dress forms didn't reflect the shape characteristics as well as the size of the target consumers. Consequently, The dress forms need to have the following. First, It is necessary that the dress forms have various functions in a dress form in the future. Second, to get high satisfaction of clothing fit, we need to build up the data base of the consumers somatotype. The data base have to consist of not only circumference but also width, thickness, angle of the current consumers. Last, the further studies of the dress forms need to meet the clothing businesses demand.

This study aimed to develop dress torso patterns with both aesthetic and functional qualities that fit for women in their 20s. In order to develop dress torso patterns, wearing tests were done. By collecting drafting methods of the patterns through literature study and the survey of wedding dress manufacturers, four kinds of dress torso patterns were selected. The existing dress torso patterns have no or very small ease in chest, waist, and hip circumferences. As a result of wearing tests of these four existing dress torso patterns, drafting methods of dress torso patterns that have the best satisfied values close to optimum zero were selected; the first and second research dress torso patterns were developed by modifying and supplementing items that had noticeable difference through the Wilcoxon rank sum test with a selected measured value and a best satisfied value of zero; and deduced a drafting method for the final developed dress torso patterns by a wearing test of the second developed dress torso patterns. Distinctive aspects of drafting methods of the final developed dress torso patterns were that ease for each area was given differently by considering a functional quality and a chest circumference instead of a bust circumference was applied to reduce influence by the size of breast in neck and armhole areas, and a back bust level. Back neck breadth was made wider and front neck breadth was made less narrow due to a recent change of age 20s female adults' shoulder and back shape.

In such special or precious occasions as a wedding ceremony, brides, handicapped or not, wish to wear a beautiful wedding dress. However, an ordinary wedding dress is not suitable nor convenient to a bride who has a bodily impediment. A one-piece type wedding dress, which even a normal bride needs assistants to help her wear, will create more inconvenience to crippled females. In this connection, this study is purposed to convert a normal ready-made wedding dress design into one suitable to the bodily handicapped females. For handicapped people on a wheelchair who generally put on and off a wedding dress while sitting on the chair, a one-piece type wedding dress is divided into the top and the skirt to make it a two-piece type wedding dress which is easy to get into and take off. The top should be separated from the skirt in such a manner that the wearer may not be aware of the division of the two pieces but easily put on and off since the sides or back of the top is opened. An opening is also given to the sides of the skirt so that handicapped people may sit on the skirt on the chair and then close the opening by themselves. Converting ready-made wedding dress design into functional clothes for handicapped people is really significant in that ready-made clothes can be recycled, their production cost reduced, and the economic burden of handicapped people relieved.

This study investigated the difference of the purchasing realities and the degree of satisfaction of maternity dress according to occupation and age. The purpose of this study was to collect data needed to the maternity dress maker for the better quality of their product and the more comfortable maternity dress wearing of pregnant women. The results of study were as follows. The attitude of purchasing and the degree of satisfaction of maternity dress according to age showed significant differences as follows. First, the dress styles were the significant difference in the kind of formal trousers and casual trousers, one-piece dress, jumper skirt+shirt, vest+trousers. Second, the purchase place was the significant difference in the shop of clothes made, market, maternity dress shop, wearing together. Third, at the purchase time of dress, the satisfactory degree of an appraised standard was the significant difference in the period of wearing, the easiness of exchange and repayment, the wearing numeral degree of other people, price, discount sale, degree of brand recognition, encouragement of other people.
