Study on the Development of Public Bench Design for Campus

  • Recent tendency in modern society for urban design and public space forming it recommended diversity of studies and design development, for the interest in urban design is increasing. In particular, street furniture being one of the important components to construct public space has been researched and developed in aspects of formative and emotional style, broken from the old way of the function-oriented purpose. It could be said that this results from the desire of human pursuing a well-off life, the new value standard regarding design and the life styles in mode. The new development of street furniture could be a creating the value-added source potentially being able to raise community, identity of nation and international competitiveness, beyond the primary purpose, namely the improvement of surrounding environment, and therefore the most of countries in the world are concentrating their life and death on development of design in reality. For this investigation the concept of city design, the basic content analysis of the street furniture and also the contents in the related sectors were reported. In order to develop the bench design, one of the representative items of the street furniture furthermore it was proceeded that basic process for the design like data searching for the object place and the existing case studies. On the basis of this the series of the design development processes such as idea sketch, computer rendering and drawing work were described step by step. The aim of this study is therefore to contribute in compiling the development processes of bench design as a new shape into a data and in utilizing it as a design case study and research material in the related sectors.

자연미술 유형에 따른 바디페인팅 연구 (A Study on Body Painting according to Nature Art Types)

  • Unlike other body arts, body painting illuminates the value of art using eco-friendly formative activity and natural environment and highlights the need of eco-friendly activity. However, although body painting has focused on forming right relationship between human beings and nature, there are few researches which are linked with nature art. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to argue the need to study body painting as nature art in connection with natural environment and analyze body painting according to nature art types. The study methods included both theoretical review and empirical review. The theoretical review examined the concept and characteristics of nature art through previous researches and literature and the empirical review looked into the types and works of nature art and applied them to body painting works. The results were as follows. First, an installation type was possible by arranging and attaching certain materials to the body. Second, a physical type was possible by representing body itself as the part of nature. Third, a symbolic type was possible by making body appearance as a some symbol based on artist's idea. Fourth, a sound type was possible by stimulating auditory hallucination using the nature of objects and sensing a sound. Fifth, an ecological type was possible by conveying the message of living things in nature to the body. Sixth, an interior type was possible by inducing indoor installation of works. Seventh, a poetic type was possible by making one feel a poetic inspiration expressed in nature using the mystery of the sea and a simple sequential pattern of floral leaves. Eighth, a drawing type was possible by adding artist's intentional hand with a pictorical technique. Ninth, a indigenous type was possible by reproducing South American indian's primitive style. The review of this study suggests that body painting works have been expressed in experimental and temporary arrangement like nature art in nature and can be applied according to nine types of nature art.

웹문서 내의 극좌표계 텍스트 배치를 위한 CSS3 확장사양 설계 (Design of CSS3 Extensions for Polar-Coordinate Text Layout in Web Documents)

  • 최근 스마트워치 등 원형 기기들이 출시되고, 빅데이터 시대로 데이터 시각화 분야가 주목을 받으면서 글자의 원형 배치에 대한 요구가 증가하고 있다. 하지만 현재 웹문서에서 글자를 원형이나 부채꼴로 배치하는 방법을 따로 지원하지 않는다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 웹브라우저 환경에서 CSS 스타일시트와 HTML로 표현되어 있는 웹문서 내의 글자를 원이나 부채꼴의 중심을 기준으로 하는 극좌표계로 배치할 수 있도록 CSS3 사양을 확장하였다. CSS3 사양 확장에 앞서 사례조사를 통하여 극좌표계 표현에 대한 요구사항을 분석하였으며 기존의 사각형이 아닌 부채꼴 서식모델을 제안하고 이에 맞추어 세부적인 텍스트 배치 사양을 정의하였다. 또한, 확장된 CSS3 사양으로 작성한 콘텐츠를 기존 브라우저에서 확인할 수 있도록 전처리기를 구현하고 샘플 콘텐츠를 작성하여 제안한 확장사양의 적합성을 검증하였다.

VR기술을 활용한 암각화 박물관의 콘텐츠 개발 연구 (A Study on The Application of VR Technology for The Contents of Petroglyph Museum)

  • 암각화는 선사시대의 기록으로서 선사인들의 생활, 신앙, 예술, 신화 등 다양한 의미를 갖는 문화유산이다. 이에 전시, 교육, 오락, 상업 등 다양한 분야에서 암각화를 활용한 콘텐츠 연구와 개발이 시도되고 있다. 이 연구는 암각화 박물관에서 VR 기술을 활용하여 개발할 수 있는 전시 콘텐츠를 탐색하는데 목적을 둔 것이다. 먼저 현재 암각화 박물관의 전시콘텐츠 현황과 문제점을 파악하고, VR의 기법을 활용한 문화유산 콘텐츠의 사례들을 검토해 보았다. 5건의 사례를 통해 콘텐츠의 내용과 사용된 VR 기법을 검토한 결과 암각화의 다양한 콘텐츠에 활용될 수 있는 가능성을 발견하였다. 개발 가능한 콘텐츠를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째 암각화의 입체적 디지털 자료화, 둘째 시각범주를 조작할 수 있는 암각화의 입체적 재현, 셋째 암각화의 촉지각, 압각 등 체험범주의 확장, 넷째 다양한 맥락에서 암각화 스토리텔링 입체영상 콘텐츠 개발, 마지막으로 암각화 가상박물관 구축 등이다.

신안 김환기고택의 건축과 변화과정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Architectural Characteristics and Alterations of Sinan Kim Hwan-gi's House)

  • Suhwa Kim Hwan-gi established his own unique world of art based on Korean-style lyricism with his sophisticated and sublimated formative language as the first generation of Korean abstract artist. He made his name known not only in Korea but New York and Paris, the center of contemporary art. Presently, there is almost no material left for us to examine how Kim Hwan-gi's house looked in the first place. But there is a painting that chef Kim Am-gi possesses where we can find the image of painter Kim Hwan-gi's house drawn by recalling the memories at home in a far-off land. With that, we can see it should be the original looks of that house. To examine the original looks of Kim Hwan-gi's house when it was built, this author studied the closure land registration map. By analyzing 29 land registration maps around Eupdong-ri of Gijwa-myeon in Muan-gun of Jeollanam-do produced in 1917 which National Archives of Korea possesses, this researcher could figure out the status of land registration around Kim Hwan-gi's house with No. 15 and 22 drawing boards. According to the results of considering aerial photographs after the emancipation that National Geographic Information Institute possesses, this author has found that the arrangement of Kim Hwan-gi's house was changed from 1954 up to 2008. In 1954 aerophotos, we can see the main building and studio in Kim Hwan-gi's house and there was an additional structure between them. Kim Hwan-gi's house was built before 1925. The main building presently designated as a cultural asset and also the sarangchae arranged in the east and the studio, too, were built in the similar period.

고객센터 지식관리시스템 재구축 성공과 활용에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 탐색적 연구: K 보험사 사례를 중심으로 (An Exploratory Study on the Factors Affecting the Success and Utilization of Reestablished Knowledge Management Systems in a Customer Center: Case of K Life Insurance)

  • Knowledge, as a source of firm's competitive edges, has been drawing attention, while numerous enterprises are investing huge amount of assets to foster the right environments for executing knowledge management (KM). As a practical way of such KM, knowledge management systems (KMS) support the creation, diffusion, and utilization of knowledge, which are the tools for practicing such management style. Recently, the customer centers which make the closest contact with the customers are being concerned about the establishment of KMS. Considering the characteristics of real-time problem solving in customer centers during the consultation with the customers, the importance of KMS is paramount to the centers. This study analyzes major factors influencing the success and utilization of the customer center KMS's reestablishment, as an exploratory case study of the reestablishment of KMS in the customer center of K insurance company. First, the characteristic differences between the customer center's KMS and the traditional KMS are discussed, and the triangulation technique is applied to secure objectivity of this case study's findings. Major results of the case study state that, for the success of KMS and improvement of utilization, the followings should be considered preferentially: excellent system quality (accessibility, user convenience, easy searching, speed/menus); high information quality (accuracy, usefulness, timeliness, task-relevance, diversity, degree of specification); appropriate operation strategy and process for the utilization of system (education, training opportunity, appropriate personnel, speed and procedure of approval, compensation/evaluation); and change management via the support from the CEO's level (concern and participation of CEO, will to propel the project, investment, advertisement, etc.). This study provides practical suggestions with respect to factors which should be more carefully dealt with, since still many customer centers have hard time establishing and operating KMS due to lack of previous studies.

영화 <게이샤의 추억>을 중심으로 본 게이샤복식 표현에 관한 연구 (A Study on Geisha's Dress Expressions in the Movie Focused on )

  • Geisha's gorgeous kimonos and grotesque make-up was the object of envy to Japanese women. There is a line in the movie like "Kimonos to the Geisha is the same as colors to the painter." Likewise, splendid patterns and colorful kimonos were an indispensible method or symbol for showing their artistic accomplishments. The purpose of this study is to investigate concept and origin of Geisha and their dress and decoration, analyze the dress of the people which appear in the movie, , arrange the expression of Geisha's dress as a movie costume, compare the difference of the dress by the career of Geisha and look back the disappearing aesthetic sense of Geisha. First, since Geisha appeared for the first time in Kyoto in 1751, it has become the world-wide representative of Japanese woman's images so that its existence oneself has become the tradition. Second, Geisha created fashion of various clothes, adornments, and hair styles as a creator of the popularity. Third, the strict regulation without exception is applied in Geisha's clothing, make-up, and motion tuned Samisen, Japanese traditional strings, and there is some difference in their hair style and dress by age of Maiko. Fourth, it is famous for unique make-up that Geisha makes up their faces, necks, and shoulders white, newly paints eyes, nose, lip line like drawing a picture in a pure white paper. Geishas put a little make-up as they have a higher position. Fifth, a heroin, Chiyo, shows clothing as a maid, an apprentice Geisha-Maiko- and a formal Geisha according to time flow. The length of kimono, textures, and hair decorations are longer, more splendid, and are more various as time goes. On the other hand, her make-up is lighter.

이매방 살풀이춤[중요무형문화재 제 97호] 복식 연구 (A Study on the Yi Mae-Bang's Salpurichum Costume)

  • It goes without saying that Yi Mae-Bang, as the sole owner of two of the intangible cultural assets including No. 27 Seungmu in 1987 and No. 97 Salpuri Chum, is a top-notch Korean traditional dancer. Moreover, in regards to traditional clothing, he is also known as the only traditional dancer who directly performs on stage as well as analyzes traditional clothing in order to apply them into his own dance performances by designing and producing them to meet his artistic spirit. In order to examine how Yi Mae-Bang's unique and creative stage clothing was developed, and what kind of process it went through to possess its unique style, which draws the attentions of people with its harmony of beauty and dance, this research first examined the change of the composition through the yearly picture data. Before 1984, the composition of the Salpuri Chum clothes changed by putting on 'Jeogori' on the 'Mudong-Bok' without the 'Kweia' (sleeveless), and in 1999 'Mudong-Bok' became widened with the decoration of embroidered hem making it more attractively colorful. after 2000 it became more splendidly adorned by embroidering hem on widened Mudong-Bok and tucking 'Kweja' in the layers which created silhouette like a dress that is seemingly wider and luxuriant than a skirt. One of notable features of Yi Mae-Bang's Salpuri is that its cloth and cuff ribbons are lightly colored in different colors enclosing the tip part. As for the ribbons, it was also changed as time went by from direct-cutting of the cloth just like the A-line of Mudong-Bok to drawing a diagonal line less than 5cm above the ribbon and 8cm below the ribbon so that it takes the form of getting widened as it gets to the lower part, and its length was also elongated in proportion to that of the bottom of Mudong-Bok.

원화의 음영 캡쳐 기반 카툰 캐릭터 렌더링 (Cartoon Character Rendering based on Shading Capture of Concept Drawing)

  • 3차원 캐릭터 모델의 만화적 표현을 위하여 일반적으로 사용되고 있는 기존의 카툰렌더링 방법들은 아티스트가 직접 그린 원화의 표현을 그대로 살리는데 한계가 있다. 본 논문에서는 원화로부터 만화적인 음영모델을 캡쳐하는 기술을 제안하고 이를 이용하여 3차원 캐릭터 모델을 효과적으로 카툰 렌더링하는 새로운 시스템을 제공한다. 이 시스템의 특징은 음영을 캡쳐한 후에 캐릭터 모델의 만화적 특성을 부각시키기 위하여 음영을 이용하여 형태를 강조하는 알고리즘을 포함하며 아티스트가 포스트 프러덕션으로 음영을 편집할 수 있는 스케치 기반 인터페이스를 지원하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 선택된 영역의 색상 분포와 비율을 분석하는 RGB 색상 정렬 알고리즘을 이용하여 카툰 텍스처를 자동으로 생성하는 방법론을 제시한다. 또한 캐릭터의 형태적 특성을 강조하기 위하여 세일리언시 기반 카툰 렌더링 알고리즘을 제안하며, 음영을 지역적으로 편집하는 스케치 인터페이스를 제공한다. 마지막으로 사용자 평가를 통하여 제안하는 시스템의 유용성을 입증한다.

타셈 싱(Tarsem Singh) 영화 '백설공주' 의상에 표현된 매직리얼리즘 특성 (Characteristic of magical realism expressed in Tarsem Singh's movie [Mirror, Mirror])

  • The aims of this research were to characterize magic realism by analyzing existing magical reality literature reviews and research and to identify material that may inspire ideas for stage and film costume design by analyzing and drawing design characteristics and magic realism of costumes from Director Tarsem Singh's movie, 'Mirror, Mirror'. For the methodology, characteristics of magic realism in literature and, movies were analyzed, with a theoretical consideration of these materials on magical realism. Data on costume design and magical realism characteristics for use in the analysis were collected from the main characters of 'Mirror, Mirror' as well as from other characters. The result of this analysis was the emergence of five common characteristics of the magic realism Historicity, the most remarkable characteristic seen in Tarsem Singh films, was expressed through the symbolic meaning and decorative patterns shown by the traditional-style costumes, colors. Symbolization was expressed through the symbolic meaning, decorative elements, and traditional clothes, as shown by the colors and forms of the costumes. Fantasy was expressed through the colors, decorative elements, forms of traditional clothing, and forms with symbolic meaning. Reproducibility was expressed through the method of decorative element, symbolic meaning, traditional forms and de-structural clothes. Ambiguity, which can be associated with the combined characteristics of historicity and fantasy, was expressed in the clothes worn in the scenes that confounded time and space within the film.
