대평 양수장 지구의 농업용수회귀율 추정 (Estimation of Return Flow Rate of Irrigation Water in Daepyeong Pumping District)

  • Return flow rate of irrigation water was estimated by water balance method. Daepyeong pumping district to irrigate 75.8 ha of rice paddy in the Geum river basin was selected to install gauging instruments to collect data such as weather, water levels, infiltration rate and evapotranspiration during irrigation season (May 27 to Sept. 20) in 2003 and 2004. Irrigation and drainage discharge were calculated from the rating curve and evapotranspiration was estimated both by the modified Penman formula and by the lysimeter. The results were as followed : 1. Total amounts of pumping water during irrigation season were $1,076,000\;m^3$ in 2003 and $1,848,000\;m^3$ in 2004. Total amounts of rainfall were 1336.0mm and 1003.0mm respectively during the irrigation season in 2003 and 2004. 2. It was surveyed that the amount of infiltration was 196.5 mm (2.2 mm/day). The gauged evapotranspiration was 311.0 mm (3.5 mm/day) and the calculated evapotranspiration was 346.0 mm (3.9 mm/day) during irrigation period in 2003. It was surveyed that the amount of infiltration was 169.9 mm (2.4 mm/day). The amount of gauged evapotranspiration was 377.3 mm (5.3 mm/day) and the calculated evapotranspiration was 454.5 mm (6.6 mm/day) during irrigation period in 2004. 3. The rates of quick and delayed return flow were 52.4 % and 17.7 % respectively, and so return flow rate was 70.1 % in 2003. The rates of quick and delayed return flow were 45.4 % and 16.1 % respectively, and so return flow rate was 61.5 % in 2004. It means that average return flow rate in the Daepyeong pumping district was assumed to be 65 %.

유류탱크 수명과 구조 개선 방안에 대한 사례연구 (A Case Study on the Method to Improve on the Structure of Oil Tank)

  • 유류탱크 구조물을 대상으로 기 실시한 유류탱크 정밀안전진단 결과를 중심으로 구조적 문제점을 도출하고 이를 근간으로 내구년수를 결정하는 기법에 대하여 제시하고자 하였으며 추가로 구조적 개선사항도 제안하였다. 정밀안전진단 결과 폐기된 유류탱크를 분석하면 시공년도와는 상관없이 시공, 유지관리 등의 정도에 따라 상이한 것으로 분석되며, 탱크형식별로는 매립형의 건전성이 가장 취약한 상태이다. 또한 손상원인별로 분석한 결과 강재 부분에 대해서는 강재의 두께, 용접 불량이 가장 많은 상태이며, 기초의 영향에 따른 부등침하의 원인도 다수 조사되었다. 또한, 유류탱크의 수명은 일반적으로 30년 정도를 예상수명으로 관리하고 있으며 연구 결과 내구년수는 30년으로 추정 할 수 있었다.

DOES LACK OF TOPOGRAPHIC MAPS LIMIT GEO-SPATIAL HYDROLOGY ANALYSYS?

  • Watershed boundaries and flow paths within the watershed are the most important factors required in watershed analysis. Most often the derivation of watershed boundaries and stream network and flow paths is based on topographical maps but spatial variation of flow direction is not clearly understandable using this method. Water resources projects currently use 1: 50, 000-scale ground survey or aerial photography-based topographical maps to derive watershed boundary and stream network. In basins, where these maps are not available or not accessible it creates a real barrier to watershed geo-spatial analysis. Such situations require the use of global datasets, like GTOPO30. Global data sets like ETOPO5, GTOPO30 are the only data sets, which can be used to derive basin boundaries and stream network and other terrain variations like slope aspects and flow direction and flow accumulation of the watershed in the absence of topographic maps. Approximately 1-km grid-based GTOPO 30 data sets can derive better outputs for larger basins, but they fail in flat areas like the Karkheh basin in Iran and the Amudarya in Uzbekistan. A new window in geo-spatial hydrology has opened after the launching of the space-borne satellite stereo pair of the Terra ASTER sensor. ASTER data sets are available at very low cost for most areas of the world and global coverage is expected within the next four years. The DEM generated from ASTER data has a reasonably good accuracy, which can be used effectively for hydrology application, even in small basins. This paper demonstrates the use of stereo pairs in the generation of ASTER DEMs, the application of ASTER DEM for watershed boundary delineation, sub-watershed delineation and explores the possibility of understanding the drainage flow paths in irrigation command areas. All the ASTER derived products were compared with GTOPO and 1:50,000-based topographic map products and this comparison showed that ASTER stereo pairs can derive very good data sets for all the basins with good spatial variation, which are equal in quality to 1:50,000 scale maps-based products.

저영향개발기법 설계 및 평가를 위한 LIDMOD3 개발 (LIDMOD3 Development for Design and Evaluation of Low Impact Development)

  • In this study, the LIDMOD3 was developed to design and evaluate low impact development (LIDMOD). In the same fashion, the LIDMOD3 employs a curve number (NRCS-CN) method to estimate the surface runoff, infiltration and event mean concentration as applicable to pollutant loads which are based on a daily time step. In these terms, the LIDMOD3 can consider a hydrologic soil group for each land use type LID-BMP, and the applied removal efficiency of the surface runoff and pollutant loads by virtue of the stored capacity, which was calculated by analyzing the recorded water balance. As a result of Model development, the LIDMOD3 is based on an Excel spread sheet and consists of 8 sheets of information data, including: General information, Annual precipitation, Land use, Drainage area, LID-BMPs, Cals-cap, Parameters, and the Results. In addition, the LIDMOD3 can estimate the annual hydrology and annual pollutant loads including surface runoff and infiltration, the LID efficiency of the estimated surface runoff for a design rainfall event, and an analysis of the peak flow and time to peak using a unit hydrolograph for pre-development, post-development without LID, and as calculated with LID. As a result of the model application as applied to an apartment, the LIDMOD3 can estimate LID-BMPs considering a well spatical distributed hydroloic soil group as realized on land use and with the LID-BMPs. Essentially, the LIDMOD3 is a screen level and simple model which is easy to use because it is an Excel based model, as are most parameters in the database. This system can be expected to be widely used at the LID site to collect data within various programmable model parameters for the processing of a detail LID model simulation.

인공신경망을 이용한 강릉지역 산사태 취약성 분석 및 검증 (Landslide Susceptibility Analysis and Vertification using Artificial Neural Network in the Kangneung Area)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 2002년 산사태가 많이 발생한 강원도 강릉 지역의 산사태 발생원인에 대해 인공신경망 기법과 GIS를 이용하여 취약성도를 작성 및 이를 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 지형도, 토양도, 임상도, 지질도, 토지피복도 등 을 GIS를 이용하여 공간 데이터베이스로 구축하였고, 이러한 데이터베이스로부터, 경사, 경사방향, 곡률, 수계, 지형종 류, 토질, 토양모재, 토양배수, 유효토심, 임상종류, 임상경급, 임상영급, 임상밀도, 암상, 토지피복도, 선구조도 등을 추 출하여 산사태 발생요인으로 이용하였다. 이러한 데이터베이스와 산사태 발생 위치에 대해 인공신경망 기법을 적용하 여 산사태 발생 원인에 대해 상대적인 가중치를 계산하고, 이를 적용하여 산사태 취약성도를 만들었다. 그리고 계산 된 산사태 취약성도는 산사태 발생을 정량적으로 예측하는 비곡선 방법을 이용하여 검증되었다. 이러한 결과는 산사 태 피해 예방을 위한 방재 사업, 국토개발 계획, 건설계획 등에 기초 자료로서 활용될 수 있다.

GIS 기반 Weight of Evidence 기법을 이용한 포천 지역의 지하수 산출특성 예측도 작성 (Feasibility Mapping of Groundwater Yield Characteristics using Weight of Evidence Technique based on GIS in the Pocheon Area)

  • 본 연구에서는 경기도 포천군 일대의 지하수 부존특성 가능지역을 공간적으로 예측하기 위하여 GIS 기반으로 Weight of Evidence(WofE) 기법을 적용하였다. 기본 자료로는 지하수 산출 특성분석과 관련된 수문지질학적 인자인 지표피복, 지형, 지질 등의 자료를 GIS 정보로 입력하였다. 그리고, 베이지안 확률 분석기법(Bayesian Method)에 기반하여 기본자료와 함께 선구조, 암상, 수계밀도, 식생, 토양, 토지이용현황등과 같이 산출성에 영향을 주는 인자들에 대하여 지하수 부존가능 지수와 사전/사후확률을 구하였다. 이들 자료에 대해 다시 WofE 기법을 적용하여, 각 인자들의 W+, W- 가중 값들을 계산하였다. 또한 이러한 결과의 차이 값으로 공간적인 상관관계를 구하여 지하수 산출특성의 예측가능도를 작성하고자 하였다. 본 연구에 적용한 방법은 잠재된 지하수 부존 지역과 주변 지역의 공간적 분포를 파악하는 데 유용한 것으로 생각된다.

A Literature Review of Infection with ESKAPE Pathogens in Oral and Maxillofacial Region

  • Odontogenic infection in the oral and maxillofacial regions caused by bacteria (mostly of oral origin) is one of the most common diseases encountered by dentists. Localized infection can easily be treated with incision and drainage followed by antibiotics. Emergence of multidrug resistant (MDR) bacteria called "Superbacteria" has become one of the serious problems in modern society, due to its small window of opportunity for treatment and high casualty. The acronym "ESKAPE", encompassing the common and serious MDR pathogens stand for Enterococcus faecium, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Acinetobacter baumannii, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Enterobacter spp. Literature search was performed in Medline, PubMed and Google Scholar ranging from 2012 to 2020. ESKAPE patient's infection period was longer than that of non-ESKAPE group, and the treatment method due to antibiotic resistance was also complicated. The purpose of this study is to investigate infection caused by ESKAPE pathogens in the oral and maxillofacial regions through literature review and to inform dental surgeons of the danger of ESKAPE pathogens and to suggest viable treatment options. Many studies worldwide reported infections associated with ESKAPE pathogens, but only limited number of studies targeted infection in oral and maxillofacial regions. Further research is required with more data on ESKAPE bacteria and their infection, especially in oral and maxillofacial regions.

Management of Traumatic Pancreatic Injuries: Evaluation of 7 Years of Experience at a Single Regional Trauma Center

  • Purpose: Traumatic pancreatic injuries are rare, but their diagnosis and management are challenging. The aim of this study was to evaluate and report our experiences with the management of pancreatic injuries. Methods: We identified all adult patients (age >15) with pancreatic injuries from our trauma registry over a 7-year period. Data related to patients' demographics, diagnoses, operative information, complications, and hospital course were abstracted from the registry and medical records. Results: A total of 45 patients were evaluated. Most patients had blunt trauma (89%) and 21 patients (47%) had pancreatic injuries of grade 3 or higher. Twenty-eight patients (62%) underwent laparotomy and 17 (38%) received nonoperative management (NOM). The overall in-hospital mortality rate was 24% (n=11), and only one patient died after NOM (due to a severe traumatic brain injury). Twenty-two patients (79%) underwent emergency laparotomy and six (21%) underwent delayed laparotomy. A drainage procedure was performed in 12 patients (43%), and pancreatectomy was performed in 16 patients (57%) (distal pancreatectomy [DP], n=8; DP with spleen preservation, n=5; pancreaticoduodenectomy, n=2; total pancreatectomy, n=1). Fourteen (31%) pancreas-specific complications occurred, and all complications were successfully managed without surgery. Solid organ injuries (n=14) were the most common type of associated abdominal injury (Abbreviated Injury Scale ≥3). Conclusions: For traumatic pancreatic injuries, an appropriate treatment method should be considered after evaluation of the accompanying injury and the patient's hemodynamic status. NOM can be performed without mortality in appropriately selected cases.

보강토옹벽의 배부름현상 분석 및 보강 방법에 대한 실험적 연구 (A Study on Reinforcement Method of Reinforced Soil Retaining Wall Through Field Experiment)

  • 본 연구는 공용 중 보강토옹벽에 발생하는 배부름현상을 보강하기 위한 방법을 제안하고 현장실험으로 보강방법의 신뢰성을 파악하고자 하였다. 보강토옹벽의 배수시설을 미설치하여 강우에 의해 배부름현상이 유도되도록 하였으며, 시공 후 15일간 변위속도가 크게 발생한 후 점차적으로 감소하였다. 유도된 배부름현상의 변위는 미연방도로국(FHWA)의 시공 중 수평변위 기준을 적용하여 판단하였다. 배부름 현상을 보강하기 위해 보강토옹벽에 소일네일을 설치하고, 네일의 두부를 수평으로 서로 연결하여 보강토 옹벽의 블록들을 서로 지지할 수 있도록 하였다. 보강재들의 보호를 위해 숏크리트로 보강면을 마감하고 계측장치를 설치하였다. 배부름현상 보강방법의 신뢰성을 확인하기 위하여 변위의 진행을 검측한 결과 보강 후 수평변위는 거의 발생하지 않았으며, 보강방법의 신뢰성을 확인할 수 있었다.

오수받이 내 Z-트랩 특성 및 유지관리 능력 향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Z-Trap and Improvement of Maintenance Ability in the Sewage Bay)

  • 연구목적: 본 연구는 기존 오수받이의 문제점을 해결하기 위한 새로운 오수받이 개발 및 개발한 오수받이의 유지관리 능력의 우수성 검증을 목적으로 한다. 연구방법: 기존 오수받이 막힘 현상 및 유지관리 어려움 등의 문제점을 분석하고 시뮬레이션을 활용한 오수받이 트랩에서의 유체거동 특성을 분석하였다. 아울러, 배수트랩의 장기사용성 검증을 통해 새로이 개발한 오수받이의 내구성을 검증 하였다. 연구결과: 배수트랩 막힘 현상에 대한 시뮬레이션 결과 유속 0.6m/sec에서 소용돌이현상 및 막힘 현상이 발생하지 않았으며 6개월간에 걸친 장기간 사용테스트를 통해 배수트랩 개폐장치 등의 내구성에 이상이 없음을 검증하였다. 결론: 본 연구를 통해 기존 오수받이의 막힘 현상 및 유지관리의 어려움을 해결할 새로운 오수받이를 개발하였으며 시뮬레이션 및 내구성 검증을 통해 새로 개발한 오수받이의 유지관리 능력의 우수성을 입증하였다.
