하이힐 보행이 비만여성의 슬관절에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Walking With High-Heeled Shoes on the Knee Joint of Obese Women)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of high-heeled shoes on walking of obese women as it was already proven an extrinsic factor of knee osteoarthritis in women with normal weight. In this study the aimed therefore in particular was to utilize high-heeled shoes in proving it's causal influence on knee osteoarthritis by measuring the angle and torque of the knee joint. Fifteen obese women (BMI>25 $kg/m^2$) were measured in their twenties. Each angle and torque of their knee joints during walking on 6.5 cm high-heeled shoes and with a bare feet, were compared with each other and analyzed with a 3D motion analysis system. There was no significant difference in walking speed, cadence and stride length between the two conditions. However, there was a significant increase in a double limb support time and the stance phase when walking on high-heeled shoes as when walking with bare feet. The peak knee flexion angle and peak knee varus torque was higher when walking on high-heeled shoes than with bare feet. On the contrary, the peak knee flexion angle in the swing phase was not statistically different. The prolongation of peak knee varus torque was also proven. There was a significant increase in peak knee varus torque in the initial and last stance phases during walking on high-heeled shoes as compared to walking on bare feet. Through the above results, it was proven that when obese women walked on high-heeled shoes, rather than with bare feet, peak knee flexor and varus torque increased along with the changes of the in knee joint angle. Therefore, the influence of high-heeled shoes might be a significant intrinsic factor in knee osteoarthritis of obese women.

Effect of Wearing Ankle Weights on Underwater Treadmill Walking

  • Objective: The main purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of wearing an ankle weight belt while performing gait in water by focusing on the effect of using ankle weights have on the gait kinematics and the muscle activities for developing optimum training strategies. Method: A total of 10 healthy male university students were recruited for the study. Each participant was instructed to perform 3 gait conditions; normal walking over ground, walking in water chest height, and walking in water chest height while using ankle weights. All walking conditions were set at control speed of $4km/h{\pm}0.05km/h$. The depth of the swimming pool was at 1.3 m, approximately chest height. The motion capture data was recorded using 6 digital cameras and the EMG was recorded using waterproof Mini Wave. From the motion capture data, the following variables were calculated for analysis; double and single support phase (s), swing phase (s), step length (%height), step rate (m/s), ankle, knee, and hip joint angles ($^{\circ}$). From the electromyography the %RVC of the lower limb muscles medial gastrocnemius, rectus femoris, erector spinae, semitendinosus, tibialis anterior, vastus lateralis oblique was calculated. Results: The results show significant differences between the gait time, and step length between the right and left leg. Additionally, the joint angular velocities and gait velocity were significantly affected by the water resistance. As expected, the use of the ankle weights increased all of the lower leg maximum muscle activities except for the lower back muscle. Conclusion: In conclusion, the ankle weights can be shown to stimulate more muscle activity during walking in chest height water and therefore, may be useful for rehabilitation purposes.

테이핑 요법이 편마비 환자의 보행에 미치는 영향 (The effect of taping therapy on hemiplegic gait)

  • ■ Objectives The aim of this study is to analyze the change of gait pattern by the taping therapy in a hemiplegic patient. ■ Methods We conducted the taping therapy for 7 days to affected ankle joint of hemiplegic patient and analyzed the change of gait pattern using Treadmill Gait analysis equipment(Zebris Co.Ltd FDM-T) ■ Results In terms of affected side, cadence, total double support, step length and stance phase decreased, while swing phase and step time increased by taping therapy. In terms of unaffected side, step length increased by taping therapy. Center of pressure intersection point moved to posterior and affected side in cyclogram pattern. ■ Conclusion Taping therapy to affected ankle joint of hemiplegic patient would be advantages to gait improvement in hemiplegic patients.

뇌졸중 환자의 비골신경 자극에 따른 보행 양상의 변화 (Change of gait pattern of a patient with cerebral stroke by peroneal nerve stimulation therapy)

  • ■ Objectives The goal of this pilot study is to observe the change of gait pattern in a patient after peroneal nerve electrical stimulation(PNST). ■ Methods We analyzed the gait pattern of stroke patient using treadmill gait analysis system before and after PNST for seven weeks. The PNST was carried out for 20minutes every day except Sunday. In addition, the measurement was carried out every Saturday. At the fifth week, the PNST was not carried out to confirm whether the effect of PNST was disappeared immediately when PNST was not applied. ■ Results After PNST, while heel contact time and heel max force increased and forefoot and midfoot max force decreased, the gait parameters such as cadence, velocity, swing phase, stance phase, total double support, step length, stride length, step time, stride time and forefoot contact time, were not changed. ■ Conclusion Gait of a patient with cerebral stroke was changed positively after PNST.

  • ■ Objectives The goal of this study was to observe the gait patterns from a patient with Parkinson disease under three different walking speeds. ■ Methods The patient walked on a treadmill and we measured gait parameters using a treadmill gait analysis system for 2 minutes. The Parkinson patients walked under three different conditions, first, at the preferred walking speed, second, at slower speed than the preferred walking speed, and, third, at faster speed than the preferred walking speed. ■ Results In terms of temporal gait parameters, as speed of treadmill increased, stance phase and total double support decreased, and swing phase increased. In terms of spatial parameters, as speed of treadmill increased, step and stride length increased. In terms of kinetic parameters, max pressure increased as speed of treadmill increased. ■ Conclusion According to different walking speeds, some gait parameters of spatiotemporal and kinetic was changed.

  • 대부분의 인터넷 쇼핑몰은 자사 고객의 관심 분야를 파악하고 이를 상품 추천에 효과적으로 활용하기 위해 많은 노력을 기울이고 있다. 하지만 고객이 회원 가입 시 직접 입력한 개인 정보는 신뢰하기가 어렵고, 고객의 구매 패턴을 통해 파악한 관심 분야 정보는 자사 사이트 내에 진입한 이후에만 보인 한정된 패턴이라는 측면에서 해당 고객의 다양한 관심분야를 제대로 나타낸다고 보기 어렵다. 이러한 한계를 극복하기 위해 본 연구에서는 고객의 평소 인터넷 사용 기록을 통해 최근 방문 사이트들의 주제를 분석함으로써, 고객의 실제 관심 분야를 파악할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다. 또한 토픽 분석을 통해 각 사이트의 주제를 도출하고 도출된 주제를 다시 동시 방문자 관점에서 군집화 함으로써, 고객 관점에서 의미가 있는 상위 수준의 새로운 테마를 발굴하기 위한 방법론을 제안하였다. 연구의 특징은 유사주제 중심의 군집화라는 기존 연구와는 달리 사용자 관점의 관심주제 중심 군집화라 할 수 있다. 향후 사용자 중심의 카테고리 설계를 비롯한 새로운 관점의 고객군 정의 등 보다 높은 차원의 마케팅 전략 수립에 활용이 가능할 것으로 기대된다. 사용자 관점의 이슈 군집화 과정은 크롤링, 토픽 분석, 액세스 패턴 분석, 네트워크 병합, 네트워크 변환 및 군집화와 같은 여섯 가지 주요단계로 구성되어있다. 이를 위해 텍스트 마이닝과 소셜 네트워크 분석 기법을 활용한 비정형 텍스트를 기반으로한 빅데이터의 활용 방법을 모색하였다. 제안 방법론의 실무 적용 가능성을 평가하기 위해, 국내 최대 포털 뉴스 사이트의 방문자 2,177명의 1년간 방문 기록과 뉴스기사 대한 분석을 수행하고 그 결과를 요약하여 제시하였다.

금속과 왼손잡이 메타-물질의 경계면에서 형성되는 표면 폴라리톤의 전파 특성 (Propagation of surface polaritons at the interface of metal and left-handed metamaterial)

  • 금속에서의 흥미로운 광학적 특성들은 주로 표면 폴라리톤(surface polaritons: SP)의 기여에 의해 나타난다. 물질상수(유전율과 투자율)가 모두 음수인 왼손잡이 물질(left-handed materials: LHM)의 표면에서도 두 종류의 SP인 표면 전기-폴라리톤(surface electric-polariton: SEP), 또는, 표면 자기-폴라리톤(surface magnetic-polariton: SMP)이 형성되어 군속도와 위상속도가 서로 반전되는 경우가 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 금속물질과 LHM와 같은 메타물질(metamaterials)의 경계면에서 발생하는 SP의 전파특성을 분산관계를 통하여 분석하였다. 임의의 물질상수를 갖는 두 매질의 경계면에서 SEP와 SMP가 생성될 수 있는 일반화된 조건을 도출하였으며, 양쪽 매질을 통해 전파하는 에너지 비율의 차이에 의해 군속도와 위상속도가 반전된다는 물리적인 원인을 제안하였다. 도출된 SP 생성조건을 이용하여 금속물질과 메타물질의 경계면에서 전파하는 SEP와 SMP의 분산관계를 구하고, 주파수에 따라 다양한 SP의 전파특성이 나타날 수 있음을 보였다. SEP 및 SMP 분산관계로부터 구한 정량화 된 전파특성은 SP가 존재하기 위한 매질의 일반화된 조건과 에너지 전파 비율의 계산으로부터 얻은 결과와 일치함을 확인하였다. 특히, 두 매질 중 어느 한 매질이 LHM이 아니더라도 SP은 위상속도와 군속도가 반전되어 전파될 수 있음을 밝혀내었다.

  • Objectives : The aim of this study was to analyze changes in the gait pattern of a unilateral knee pain patient after treatment with Korean Medicine therapy. Methods : We conducted gait analysis 4 times over 11 days to analyze changes in gait parameters using gait analysis systems. Results : Velocity, cadence, step length, and stride length were all increased. On the collateral side, both stance phase and double support (%) decreased. These results are similar to those of hemiplegic patients with improvement patterns. Conclusions : Gait analysis could be used as a good evaluation tool for tracking improvements in knee pain.

우리나라 연령별 보행분석 비교연구 (The Comparative Study on Age-associated Gait Analysis in Normal Korean)

  • Purpose: This study was done to establish reference data for temporo-spatial, kinematic and kinetic parameters for normal Koreans as they age. Methods: Normal adults and children without a previous history of musculoskeletal problems were enrolled in this study. The normal subjects were divided by age into three groups: Group I: children ($11.95{\pm}0.29$ years); Group II: young adults ($23.90{\pm}3.67$ years); Group III: older adults ($71.40{\pm}4.08$ years). The temporo-spatial and kinematic data were measured using 6 MX3 cameras while each subject walked through a 10 m walkway at a self-selected speed. The kinetic data were measured using 2 force plates and were calculated by inverse dynamics. Results: Motion patterns are typically associated with a specific phase of the gait cycle. Our results were as follows: 1. There were significant differences between the different age groups in temporo-spatial parameters such as cadence, double support, time of foot off, stride length, step length, and walking speed. 2. There were significant differences between the groups in kinematic parameters such as range of motion (ROM) of the hip, knee and ankle in the sagittal plane, ROM of the pelvis, hip and knee in the coronal plane and ROM of the pelvis, hip and ankle in the transverse plane. 3. There were significant differences between the groups in kinetic parameters such as joint moments of force, joint mechanical power generation or absorption and ground reaction forces. Conclusion: The results of this study can be utilized (a) as a reference for kinematic and kinetic data of gait analysis in normal Koreans, and (b) as an aide in evaluating and treating patients who have problems relating to gait.

베이비 부머세대의 노후생애설계 교육에 관한 연구 (Life design education, the aging of the baby boomers Study)

  • 베이비부머세대는 생애주기상 중년기에 해당한다. 이들은 안정된 고용과 소득기반을 상실한채 부모부양은 물론 자녀의 교육, 그리고 자신의 노후를 동시에 준비해야 하는 이중, 삼중의 경제적 부담을 안고 있다. 최근에 이들의 준비되지 않은 퇴직과 은퇴가 주요관심사이다. 본 연구는 베이비부머세대의 특성, 노후생애설계 교육에 대한 현황, 우리나라와 외국의 노후 생애설계 프로그램을 살펴보고 베이비부머세대의 노후생애설계교육 활성화방안을 탐색하고자 한다. 따라서 베이비부머 생애설계교육에서 노후생애설계에 대한 인식을 제고하고 구체적으로 어떻게 실현할 것인지에 대한 미시적 자료 분석을 중심으로 정책적, 실천적 대안을 모색하는 데 있다.
