금속선을 삽입한 N-5복기 추진제의 연소 특성 (A Study on the Burning Characteristics of N-5 Propellant Embedded with Metal Wires)

  • 복기 추진제인 N-5 추진제에 4종의 금속선(Ag, Cu, Al, Ni-Cr선)을 삽입하여 연소 특성을 고찰하여 보았다. 금속선이 삽입된 복기 추진제의 연소속도 증가비($r_w$/$r_sb$)는 Ag선 > Cu선 > Al선 > Ni-Cr선의 순으로서 금속선의 열확산 계수의 크기 순과 일치하였다. 금속선을 삽입한 N-5추진제의 $r_w$/$r_sb$는 단열 불꽃 온도와 구조의 차이에 의하여 혼합형 추진제보다 작게 나타났다. 복기 추진제에 열확산 계수가 비교적 큰 Ag, Cu, Al선을 삽입한 경우, 금속선이 삽입되지 않은 추진제에서 나타난 plateau와 mesa 연소 특성이 사라진 반면 열확산 계수가 작은 Ni-Cr선을 삽입한 경우에서는 plateau와 mesa 연소 특성이 그대로 존재했다.

Self Charging Sulfanilic Acid Azocromotrop/Reduced Graphene Oxide Decorated Nickel Oxide/Iron Oxide Solar Supercapacitor for Energy Storage Application

  • A self-charging supercapacitor is constructed through simple integration of the energy storage and photo exited materials at the photo electrode. The large band gap of $NiO/Fe_3O_4$ heterostructure generates photo electron at the photo electrode and store the charges through redox mechanism at the counter electrode. Sulfanilic acid azocromotrop/reduced graphene oxide layer at the photo electrode trapped the photo generated hole and store the charge by forming double layer. The solar supercapacitor device is charged within 400 s up to 0.5 V and exhibited a high specific capacitance of ~908 F/g against 1.5 A/g load. The solar illuminated supercapacitor shows a high energy and power density of 33.4 Wh/kg and 385 W/kg along with a very low relaxation time of ~15 ms ensuring the utility of the self charging device in the various field of energy storage and optoelectronic application.

  • 에폭시 수지의 열적 특성과 접합 특성에 대해 다중벽 탄소 나노 튜브 (MWCNT)의 효과가 이중 중첩 전단시험에 의해 연구되었다. Epoxy/MWCNT 복합 수지는 에폭시 수지(araldite 2011)에 다양한 질량 분율로 MWCNT를 분산하여 제조되었다. MWCNT의 효과를 확인하기 위해 접합강도 시험이 열특성 변형 만능재료시험기에 의해 진행되었고 충격강도 시험이 ASTM D256에 따라 진행되었다. 금속 판재와 탄소섬유강화복합재료가 실험 재료로써 사용되었으며, 열적 안정성 분석은 열 중량 분석기와 시차 주사 열량기에 의해 진행되었다. 또한 접합강도 시험 후 시편의 형태학적 특성은 주사전자현미경에 의해 관찰되었고 파괴거동을 알아보기 위하여 광학현미경을 사용하였다. 에폭시 수지와 비교하였을 때 epoxy/MWCNT 복합 수지가 물리적 특성이 향상되는 것을 나타내었다.

Development and Performance Test of a l00hp HTS Motor

  • This paper describes the development and fabrication of a high temperature superconducting motor which consists of HTS rotor and air-core stator. The machine was designed for the rated power of 100hp at 1800 rpm. The HTS field windings are composed of the double-pancake coils wound with AMSC's SUS-reinforced Bi-2223 tape conductor. These were assembled on the support structure and fixed by a bandage of glass-fiber composite. The cooling system is based on the heat transfer mechanism of the thermosyphon by using GM cryocooler as cooling source. The cold head is in contact with the condenser of a Ne-filled thermosyphon. The rotor assembly was tested independently at the stationary state and combined with stator. Characteristic parameters such as reactances, inductances, and time constants were determined to obtain a consistent overview of the machine operation properties. This motor has met all design parameters by demonstrating HTS field winding, cryogenic refrigeration systems and an air-core armature winding cooled with air. The HTS field winding could be cooled down below 30K. No-load test of open-circuit characteristics(OCC) and short-circuit characteristics(SCC) and load test with resistive load bank were conducted in generator mode. Maximum operating current of field winding at 30K was 120A. From OCC and SCC test results synchronous inductance and synchronous reactance were 2.4mH, 0.49pu, respectively. Efficiency of this HTS machine was 93.3% in full load(100hp) test. This paper will present design, construction, and basic experimental test results of the 100hp HTS machine.

계면상 조건과 단섬유 함유량이 강화고무의 피로특성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Interphase Condition and Short-fiber Content on the Fatigue Properties of Reinforced Rubber)

  • 계면상 조건과 단섬유 함유량 증가에 따른 강화고무의 피로특성에 대해 실험적 고찰을 하였다. 피로시험 후 기지고무의 스프링 상수는 약 21% 감소하였고, 강화고무는 반대로 증가하였다. 강화고무의 스프링 상수 변화율은 섬유함유량 증가에 따라 감소하였고, 계면상 조건이 우수할수록 변화율이 적었다. 피로시험 후 기지고무의 온도는 2.5배, 강화고무는 1.7∼2.0배 증가하였다. 강화고무의 온도 변화율은 섬유 함유량 증가에 따라 감소하였고, 동일한 섬유 함유량에서 계면상 조건이 우수할수록 변화율이 적었다. 이번 연구에서 접착제 402와 고무용액을 2번씩 도포한 경우가 가장 우수한 계면상 모델(C)이 되었다. 그리고 이러한 강화고무를 자동차의 Engine Mount Rubber, Bush 그리고 Stopper등의 적용을 검토하였다.

자동차용 고강도 폴리머 복합재료의 변형과 강도에 관한 연구 (A Study on Deformation and Strength of High-Strength Polymer Composites Using Automobiles)

  • Nowadays study on recycling disused plastics for automobiles was lively progressed. Rubber and talcum powder was added to retrieve degradation of physical properties caused by recycling disused polypropylene. The effect of the temperature, the fatigue load and the loading speed on DEN(double edged notch) specimen which was made by the pp-rubber composites during fracture was studied by. DEN specimen was made on PP-rubber composites through the injection molding. With increasing temperature the fracture strength was linearly decreased and the fracture energy was increased by $0^{\circ}C$ and after that decreased. In the same temperature the fracture strength during increasing the notch radius was hardly increased. The fracture behaviour at low and high loading speed was different entirely. At high loading speed plastic region was small and fracture behaviour was seen to brittle fracture tendency. With increasing fatigue load fracture energy was first rapidly decreased and subsequently steady when radius of notch tip was 2mm, but Maximum load during fracture scarcely varied. The deformation mechanism of polypropylene-rubber composites during fracture was studied by SEM fractography. A strong plastic deformation of the matrix ahead of the notch/crack occurred. The deformation seem to be enhanced by a thermal blunting of the notch/crack.

Numerical study of the seismic behavior of steel frame-tube structures with bolted web-connected replaceable shear links

  • Beams of steel frame-tube structures (SFTSs) typically have span-to-depth ratios of less than five. This makes a flexural beam unsuitable for such an application because the plastic hinges at the beam-ends cannot be adequately developed. This leads to lower ductility and energy dissipation capacities of SFTSs. To address this, SFTSs with bolted web-connected replaceable shear links (SFTS-BWSLs) are proposed. In this structural system, a web-connected replaceable shear link with a back-to-back double channel section is placed at the mid-length of the deep beam to act as a ductile fuse. This allows energy from earthquakes to be dissipated through link shear deformation. SFTS and SFTS-BWSL buildings were examined in this study. Several sub-structures were selected from each designed building and finite element models were established to study their respective hysteretic performance. The seismic behavior of each designed building was observed through static and dynamic analyses. The results indicate that the SFTS-BWSL and SFTS have similar initial lateral stiffness and shear leg properties. The SFTS-BWSL had lower strength, but higher ductility and energy dissipation capacities. Compared to the SFTS, the SFTS-BWSL had lower interstory drift, base shear force, and story shear force during earthquakes. This design approach could concentrate plasticity on the shear link while maintaining the residual interstory drift at less than 0.5%. The SFTS-BWSL is a reliable resistant system that can be repaired by replacing shear links damaged due to earthquakes.

  • 알켄 또는 알킨의 산화 반응이 루테늄 지르코니아 불균일 촉매에 의해 매우 선택적이며 효율적으로 전환되었다. 절단반응을 통해, C-C 이중 결합은 알데히드 관능기로, 삼중 결합은 다이케톤 또는 카르복시산으로 전환되었는데, 다양한 기질들이 $30^{\circ}C$에서 $PhI(OAc)_2$ 산화제와 dichloromethane 및 물(각각 5 mL와 0.5 mL)의 혼합 용매 조건에서 반응이 수행되었다. 사용된 촉매 $Ru(OH)_x/ZrO_2$는 이 절단 반응에 대해 기존의 다른 루테늄 기반 불균일 또는 균일 촉매들보다 더 좋은 활성과 선택성을 보였다. 반응이 진행되는 동안, 제조된 촉매의 기계적인 물성은 안정적이었고, 금속의 침출은 전혀 보이지 않았다. 불포화된 탄화수소들의 산화적 절단에 대해, 합성된 촉매는 여러 번 재사용해도 그 촉매의 성능을 그대로 유지하였다.

다짐 유발응력을 고려한 보강토 설계방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design Method of the Reinforced Earth Structures Considering Compaction Induced Stresses)

  • 본 연구에서는 다짐 유발응력 (compaction induced stress)을 고려한 보강토 설계방법을 고안하였다. 현행 보강토 설계법은 다짐에 의해 유발되는 횡방향토압을 정량적으로 고려하지 라고 있으므로, 본 연구는 먼저 다짐 유발응력 산정방법을 검토하고 다음에 이를 보강토 설계에 통용 함으로써 새로운 설계방법을 제안하였다. 다짐 유발응력들 고려하면 벽체의 위쪽 부분에 토압이 산정되므로 이 부분에는 인장강도와 인발저항이 큰 보강재 사용이 바람직하다. 이를 위하여 새로이 개발한 보강재 GEOLOG를 소개하였다. 새로운 방법으로 보강토 옹벽을 설계하고 이를 종래의 방법과 비교 분석하여 보강토 공법에 관한 몇가지 결론을 제시하였다.

A novel retentive type of dental implant prosthesis: marginal fitness of the cementless double crown type implant prosthesis evaluated by bacterial penetration and viability

  • PURPOSE. This study aims to compare the marginal fitness of two types of implant-supported fixed dental prosthesis, i.e., cementless fixation (CL.F) system and cement-retained type. MATERIALS AND METHODS. In each group, ten specimens were assessed. Each specimen comprised implant lab analog, titanium abutment fabricated with a 2-degree tapered axial wall, and zirconia crown. The crown of the CL.F system was retained by frictional force between abutment and relined composite resin. In the cement-retained type, zinc oxide eugenol cement was used to set crown and abutment. All specimens were sterilized with ethylene oxide, immersed in Prevotella intermedia culture in a 50 mL tube, and incubated with rotation. After 48 h, the specimens were washed thoroughly before separating the crown and abutment. The bacteria that penetrated into the crown-abutment interface were collected by washing with 500 µL of sterile saline. The bacterial cell number was quantified using the agar plate count technique. The BacTiter-Glo Microbial Cell Viability Assay Kit was used to measure bacterial adenosine triphosphate (ATP)-bioluminescence, which reflects the bacterial viability. The t-test was performed, and the significance level was set at 5%. RESULTS. The number of penetrating bacterial cells assessed by colony-forming units was approximately 33% lower in the CL.F system than in the cement-retained type (P<.05). ATP-bioluminescence was approximately 41% lower in the CL.F system than in the cement-retained type (P<.05). CONCLUSION. The CL.F system is more resistant to bacterial penetration into the abutment-crown interface than the cement-retained type, thereby indicating a precise marginal fit.
