  • As environmental problems become a problem of survival, interest in eco-friendly energy is increasing to improve the environment. So, demand for eco-friendly fuels such as hydrogen, LPG and CNG is increasing. In particular, Korea, which relies on imports of most fuels, is investing in the development of hydrogen energy, which is favorable in terms of high production volume and energy independence. However, As demand grows every year, a variety of accidents occur in various ways, ranging from small leak incidents to massive fires and explosion, thus research needs to be done. So, in this study, compared and analyzed cases of hydrogen, LPG, CNG accidents occurring at domestic and overseas refueling stations. and various programs were used for assessing risk, estimated the flame length due to gas leakage and evaluated the dangerous distance.

Automatic Ultrasonic Inspection on Heater Sleeves and J-Groove Welds of Pressurizer (가압기 전열기 슬리브 및 J-Groove 용접부의 자동 초음파검사)

  • In order to prevent the corrosion of component contacted primary water designed alloy 600 material in the nuclear power plant. But the primary water stress corrosion cracking(PWSCC) of alloy 600 and weld area occurs continuously due to the residual stress. The leakage accident resulted from PWSCC in the drain nozzle of the steam generator of domestic power plants. Heater sleeves of the pressurizer are welded with alloy 600 weld material and therefore exposed to the primary water environment. PWSCC occurred in heater sleeve material and weld area of many foreign power plants. The current issue of domestic nuclear power plants are consequently concentrated to PWSCC of similar material. In order to improve the detection and the sizing of the PWSCC in the welding sleeve of the pressurizer, the automatic UT system and multi-directions probe sets have been developed. The experimental studies have been performed using the mock-up block containing artificial reflectors(ID connected EDM notch) and semi-artificial cracks made from thermal fatigue. The automatic UT System is applied in the detection and the length sizing of the ID/OD on the tube and the J-groove weld area of the artificial reflectors and results of the detection and the sizing are compared respectively. Also, the developed automatic UT system is successfully accomplished to inspect the heater sleeve and the J-groove weld area on the pressurizer for the detection of PWSCC.

  • After the huge explosive accident in port of Tianjin, it is being strengthened on the dangerous goods regulations. This also has been make an extra impact which must meet international standards and even different parts became possible import customs regulations exporting from Korea. Since 2004, internationally in compliance with the enforced the transport of dangerous goods regulations (IMDG Code), but becomes substantial damage to the domestic industry that exports of dangerous goods is a lot of difficulties in the logistics of efficiency due to possible follows only the clearance to the needs of the Chinese Government. In Korea and secure hazardous materials management needs have emerged, but piecemeal ad hoc policy is connected economically costly and unnecessary regulations weighted long-term safe at the same time enables continuation of the development of the only domestic chemical industry to find effective hazardous materials management plan it is.

Aging Characteristics of Low Pressure LPG Regulators for Domestic Use (가정용 LPG 저압조정기의 경년특성에 관한 연구)

  • Experimental works were carried out to evaluate how the lapse of time affects the performance characteristics and the service life of low pressure LPG regulators for domestic use. Experimental results showed that the operating pressure of safety devices deviated from the opening pressure value and the closing pressure value from just 1 year after service, and the operating pressure of regulators used for 7${\~}$8 years notably deviated from the reference value of the adjusting pressure and the closing pressure. And the material properties of springs and diaphragms deteriorated after 5${\~}$6 years of service. Thus, it is estimated that low pressure LPG regulators have approximately 6 years of service life. However, it is highly recommended that regulators exceeding 5 years of service should be replaced for the safety of consumer and accident prevention even if they are operating normally.

However, being introduced to senselessly Endpoint security solution across the over-budget, with the same features and performance, such as conflicts and problems arise, resulting in additional maintenance costs, in an effort to resolve the conflict in the operational security of the IT department's new difficulty in becoming. Here is the introduction and operation of these Endpoint security solutions in order to solve the problem on employees's PC into the center of the information security governance based on Endpoint security solution to provide the process for determining the solutions presented.

  • 85-90% of the causes of traffic accidents are human factors, and autonomous vehicles with little free running distance can be an alternative to prevent traffic accidents caused by human factors. However, securing safety of autonomous vehicles should be preceded in order to reduce traffic accident damage through the introduction of autonomous vehicles. Therefore, it is necessary to verify whether the vehicle can respond appropriately to changes in the road and traffic environment through repeated and reproduced test runs in an environment similar to the actual road. In this study, K-City's development strategies for upgrading, differentiating, and systematic development were established by comparing and analyzing the current status of domestic and foreign testbeds and business environment analysis. Furthermore, we derive challenge tasks to achieve each strategy.

  • While the disaster rate in all industries has been on a steady decline over the past decade, the accident rate in the construction industry has been on the rise, and it is urgent to improve it. The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze domestic design safety review system with overseas cases to derive problems of domestic design for safety review system and find ways to improve it. Like U.K and Singapore, it should be reviewed from the beginning of the working design, and Safety reviews should be conducted not only in large-scale construction but also in small-scale construction to reduce construction industry disasters. In particular, it is necessary to prepare a system for the lack of related systems, and the Design for safety system is meaningful in that it is an expansion of the spectrum from operator-centered safety management system and requires sufficient improvement and research in the future.

  • As seen in the case of the Boeing 737 Max accident, the proportion of aircraft software is rapidly increasing. However, it is vulnerable to safety issues. In case of domestic aircraft software, to operate a Light Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (LUAV) less than an empty weight of 150 kg, safety certification is required for an Ultra-Light Vehicle (ULV). However, software certification procedure is not included. Since the use of LUAVs has increased recently, software verification is required. This paper proposed a checklist of LUAV software that could be applied to LUAV referring DO-178C, an aviation software certification standard. A case study of applying the proposed checklist to the Model-based Development-based Helicopter Flight Control Computer (FCC) project currently used by domestic and foreign advanced companies and institutions was conducted.

  • For predictive aviation safety management, the establishment of safety performance indicators to measure and manage the safety performance of service providers must be preceded. In particular, leading indicators are significant in that they play an important role in identifying and managing the causes of accident/incident in advance. However, the current safety performance indicators of the domestic aviation industry have limitations in that they focus on lagging indicators based on events that have already occurred. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to construct Korean leading indicators for preventive safety management. In addition, we verify the validity and importance of the indicators based on review of the experts and AHP analysis. This study is meaningful in that it can support the proactive safety management of the domestic aviation industry through the development of leading safety indicators, which have been relatively lacking in research.

Effective Normalization Method for Fraud Detection Using a Decision Tree (의사결정나무를 이용한 이상금융거래 탐지 정규화 방법에 관한 연구)

  • Ever sophisticated e-finance fraud techniques have led to an increasing number of reported phishing incidents. Financial authorities, in response, have recommended that we enhance existing Fraud Detection Systems (FDS) of banks and other financial institutions. FDSs are systems designed to prevent e-finance accidents through real-time access and validity checks on client transactions. The effectiveness of an FDS depends largely on how fast it can analyze and detect abnormalities in large amounts of customer transaction data. In this study we detect fraudulent transaction patterns and establish detection rules through e-finance accident data analyses. Abnormalities are flagged by comparing individual client transaction patterns with client profiles, using the ruleset. We propose an effective flagging method that uses decision trees to normalize detection rules. In demonstration, we extracted customer usage patterns, customer profile informations and detection rules from the e-finance accident data of an actual domestic(Korean) bank. We then compared the results of our decision tree-normalized detection rules with the results of a sequential detection and confirmed the efficiency of our methods.
