차세대 웹에서 온톨로지 기술을 통한 지식체계 적용 (Application of knowledge system through Ontology Technology in Next Generation Web)

  • Because, next generation web, semantic web consists of documents with semantic information, it enables computer interpret the contents of the documents, so that the information retrieval, interpretation and integration can be automated. The web documents with the semantic information may be made in ontology. In this paper, collaborative approach among the ontology design techniques is more excellent than the other techniques because it design the ontology through continuous evaluations and modification in terms of multiple views. So, we propose the process of designing and implementing the ontology for specific domain, which is Yeomigi tour place. Delphi technique, that is a kind of collaborative approach, is used when the ontology is designed.

Artificial intelligence approach for linking competences in nuclear field

  • Bridging traditional experts' disciplinary boundaries is important for nuclear knowledge management systems. However, expert competences are often described in unstructured texts and require substantial human effort to link related competences across disciplines. The purpose of this research is to develop and evaluate a natural language processing approach, based on Latent Semantic Analysis, to enable the automatic linking of related competences across different disciplines and communities of practice. With datasets of unstructured texts as input training data, our results show that the algorithm can readily identify nuclear domain-specific semantic links between words and concepts. We discuss how our results can be utilized to generate a quantitative network of links between competences across disciplines, thus acting as an enabler for identifying and bridging communities of practice, in nuclear and beyond.

  • 프레임워크는추상화된 클래스들의 집합또는특정 도메인에서 재사용가능한설계를구성하는상호연관된 클래스틀의 집합으로 도메인에 속한 애플리케이션들간의 공통된 아키텍쳐를 정의한다- 프레엄워크를 재사용 함으로 개발자들은 클래스 코드뿐만 아니라 도메인에 대한 폭넓은 도메인 지식을 재사용할 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 프레임워크 재사용을 위해 컴퍼넌트기반의 방법론(COM; Component→Oriented M Methodology)을 제시하고 프레임워크 구축환경을 개발한다. 즉, 컴퍼넌트기반의 소프트웨어 생성을 위해 실세계의 도메인 지식을 입력으로 도메인을 분석하고 분석된 정보를 통해 hotspot을 식별하여 사용자와 개빌 자의 추가정보를 첨가하는 재설계 과정올 거친다. 이후 도메인에 따라 도메인 프레임워크와 애플리케이션 프레임워크를 생성한다 이러한 컴퍼넌트 지향 방법론은 내부적으로는 컴퍼넌트/패턴 라이브러리 저장소를 통해 정보를 검색, 이해하여 추출하거나 혹은 합성으로 얻어진 정보는 각각 컴퍼넌트와 패턴에 대한 정보로 분류되고 이것은 재설계시 추가정보로 사용되어진다. 이로 인해 사용자는 멀티미디어 컴퍼넌트를 이용해 자신의 애플리케이션에 쉽게 적용가능한 개발 환경 즉, 본 논문에서는 CORBA(Common Object Request B Broker Architecture) 환경하에 컴퍼넌트/패턴 관리 시스템(Component Pattern Management System C CPMS)을 통해 멀티 미 디 어 컴 퍼 넌트를 추가 갱 신 삭제하는 기 반 환경 (infrastructure environment)을 구축함 으로 재사용성, 사용의 용이성과 이식성을 가질 수 있다.

The Roles of Menopausal-specific Quality of Life on Breast Cancer Screening Beliefs in Menopausal and Postmenopausal Women

  • Objectives: This study investigated the association between menopausal-specific quality of life (MENQOL) and breast cancer screening beliefs among Hong Kong Chinese menopausal and postmenopausal women. Methods: A cross-sectional study was employed to collect data. The questionnaire was distributed to a convenience sample of 218 women aged above 45. The outcome variables were breast cancer screening beliefs and breast examination. Multiple regression analyses were conducted to test the effect of 4 domains in MENQOL (vasomotor, psycho-social, physical, and sexual symptom) and the health behaviors on the 2 outcome variables. Results: This study found that the overall MENQOL scores (in particular psycho-social, and physical aspects) were significantly associated with positive attitudes toward health check-ups and better knowledge and perceptions in breast cancer. Regular exercise was also significantly related to breast examination. Conclusions: MENQOL (especially psycho-social and physical domain) and regular exercise are important factors associated with breast cancer screening beliefs. The results of this study illuminate health care professionals to develop primary health care strategies to improve the quality of life of mid-life women.

The study of hanbok course in Chinese university

  • This research investigates how interest develops across a set of tasks within a course defined by a specific knowledge domain. The current study examined the relationships among self-concept, self-efficacy, Korea-related factors, and evaluation, in the context of learning about the Hanbok costume at Chinese universities. A survey (n=300) was conducted using an online survey website (www.sojump.com) from the 1st to the 25th of June. The structural equation model (SEM) analysis, including total and specific forms of self-evaluation with Hanbok courses, showed that self-concept was positively associated with self-efficacy. Conversely, K-culture interest and K-country image did not significantly affect self-efficacy in clothing, but positively affected Hanbok's self-efficacy. Meanwhile, the more self-efficacy perceived, the higher the level of evaluation. Overall, our findings imply that supporting the students' Korean culture interest, country image perception, and self-concept for regulation can enhance self-evaluation and self-realization success. Theoretical and practical implications for Hanbok courses are discussed.

Large Language Models: A Guide for Radiologists

  • Large language models (LLMs) have revolutionized the global landscape of technology beyond natural language processing. Owing to their extensive pre-training on vast datasets, contemporary LLMs can handle tasks ranging from general functionalities to domain-specific areas, such as radiology, without additional fine-tuning. General-purpose chatbots based on LLMs can optimize the efficiency of radiologists in terms of their professional work and research endeavors. Importantly, these LLMs are on a trajectory of rapid evolution, wherein challenges such as "hallucination," high training cost, and efficiency issues are addressed, along with the inclusion of multimodal inputs. In this review, we aim to offer conceptual knowledge and actionable guidance to radiologists interested in utilizing LLMs through a succinct overview of the topic and a summary of radiology-specific aspects, from the beginning to potential future directions.

개념간 관계의 추출과 명명을 위한 통계적 접근방법 (A Statistical Approach for Extracting and Miming Relation between Concepts)

  • 온톨로지는 차세대 시맨틱 웹을 위한 논리의 기반을 구성하기 위해 제안되었다. 이러한 온톨로지는 특정 분야에 대한 지식을 정형화된 형태로 표현함으로써 기계에 의한 지식의 이해를 가능하게 하고, 이를 사용하여 사용자의 요구에 알맞은 지능화된 서비스를 제공할 수 있게 한다. 하지만, 온톨로지의 구축과 유지는 많은 사람의 시간과 노력을 요구한다. 본 고에서는 온톨로지 구축 방법의 일환으로, 문서로부터 온톨로지를 구성하는 개념간의 관계를 정의하는 자동화된 방법을 제안한다. 본 고에서 제안된 방법은 특정 분야의 문서에 존재하는 개념을 기반으로 개념간의 연관 규칙을 형성하는 개념 쌍을 찾고, 두 개념 사이에 존재하는 내용의 군집화를 통해 두 개념간의 관계를 설명하는 패턴을 찾는다. 마지막으로 패턴간의 군집화를 사용하여 개념 사이의 일반화된 관계를 명시한다. 본 고에서는 제안된 방법을 검증하기 위한 방법으로 TREC(Text REtrieval Conference)에서 제공하는 문서집합을 사용하여 개념간의 관계를 추출, 평가하였으며, 그 결과 제안된 방법은 개념간의 관계를 설명하는 유용한 정보를 제공할 수 있음을 보여준다.

확장된 Fuzzy AHP를 이용한 효율적인 의사결정 (An efficient Decision-Making using the extended Fuzzy AHP Method(EFAM))

  • 웹상에서 이용할 수 있는 방대한 문서의 집합인 WWW은 사용자를 위한 다양한 정보의 보고이다. 그러나 불필요한 정보의 필터링이나 사용자가 필요한 정보를 검색하는데 많은 시간이 소요되어 효율적인 의사결정을 하는데 어려움이 있다. 본 논문에서는 의사결정에 관한 요소를 계층화 구조로 나타내는 AHP나 Fuzzy AHP방법들을 데이터의 관점에서 대안, 평가기준, 주관적 속성가중치, 개념과 객체 사이에 퍼지 관계를 기반으로 웹 자원을 효과적으로 관리하고 의사결정을 할 수 있는 EFAM(Extended Fuzzy AHP Method) 모델을 제안하였다. 제안한 EFAM 모델은 웹상의 효율적인 문서검색과 특정 영역의 문제를 의사결정하기 위하여 영역의 코퍼스로부터 추출된 개념들이 가지는 의미론적 내용에 감성 기준을 고려함으로써 효율적으로 문서를 추출할 수 있어서 명확한 의사결정을 할 수가 있음을 실험을 통하여 확인한다.

Data Mining for Knowledge Management in a Health Insurance Domain

  • This study examined the characteristicso f the knowledge discovery and data mining algorithms to demonstrate how they can be used to predict health outcomes and provide policy information for hypertension management using the Korea Medical Insurance Corporation database. Specifically this study validated the predictive power of data mining algorithms by comparing the performance of logistic regression and two decision tree algorithms CHAID (Chi-squared Automatic Interaction Detection) and C5.0 (a variant of C4.5) since logistic regression has assumed a major position in the healthcare field as a method for predicting or classifying health outcomes based on the specific characteristics of each individual case. This comparison was performed using the test set of 4,588 beneficiaries and the training set of 13,689 beneficiaries that were used to develop the models. On the contrary to the previous study CHAID algorithm performed better than logistic regression in predicting hypertension but C5.0 had the lowest predictive power. In addition CHAID algorithm and association rule also provided the segment characteristics for the risk factors that may be used in developing hypertension management programs. This showed that data mining approach can be a useful analytic tool for predicting and classifying health outcomes data.

뇌 기반 진화적 접근법을 적용한 초등학교 학생의 과학 자유탐구에서 인지적 영역 분석 (Analyses on Elementary Students' Cognitive Domain in Free Science Inquiry Activities Applying a Brain-Based Evolutionary Approach)

  • In National Curriculum of Science revised in 2007, the Free Inquiry was newly introduced to increase students' interest in science and to foster creativity by having students make their own question and find answer by themselves. The purpose of the study was to analyze characteristics, in cognitive domain, appeared in the processes of performing the Free Inquiry activities applying a brain-based evolutionary science teaching and learning principles. For this study, 106 fifth grade students participated, and they performed individually Free Inquiry activities. In order to characterize of the diversifying, estimating-evaluating-executing, and extending-applying activities in cognitive domain (C-DEF), the Free Inquiry diary constructed by the students, observations by a researcher, and interviews with the students were analyzed both quantitatively and qualitatively. The major results of this study were as follows: First, at C-D step, many students (71.5%) had difficulty in searching the meanings of their results and the contents of interpretations were at the level of simple description of their results. A few students (15.2%) derived interpretations based on causal relationships between specific variable and result. Also, the tendency that the numbers of interpretation about meaning of their results were increased as the scores of science attitude and achievement was appeared. Second, at C-E step, the students showed tendency of considering facts exactly explaining inquiry topic and being appliable to daily life rather than objectivity or accuracy of scientific knowledge. Third, at C-F step, there were three types of extension and application: simple repetition (8.2%), extension (64.0%), and upward application (17.6%) types. Based on these findings, implications for supporting appropriate interpretation, evaluation, and application of inquiry results are discussed.
