Whether a given tree is a subgraph of the interconnection network topology is one of the important problem in parallel computing. Trees are used as the underlying structure for divide and conquer algorithms and provide the solution spaces for NP-complete problems. Complete binary trees are the basic structure among those trees. Binomial trees play an important role in broadcasting messages in parallel networks. If binomial trees can be efficiently embedded in complex binary trees, broadcasting algorithms can be effeciently performed on the interconnection networks. In this paper, we present average dilation 2 embedding of binomial trees in complete binary trees.

Using the p chart is not adequate in case that there are lots of data and it is difficult to divide into products conforming or nonconforming because of obscurity of binary classification. So we need to design a new control chart which represents obscure situation efficiently. This study deals with the method to performing arithmetic operation representing fuzzy data into fuzzy set by applying fuzzy set theory and designs a new control chart taking account of a concept of classification on the term set and membership function associated with term set.

This study investigated elementary teachers' subject matter knowledge and pedagogical content knowledge of fractions. The subject for data collection were 12 in-service elementary teachers and data were collected through written test problems. The finding imply that most elementary teachers understand fraction construct as part-whole, show low level of understanding of operator, ratio, and measurement constructions and word problem posing, using models, and developing the algorithms to divide fractions. The research results indicates that experienced teachers possess poor knowledge of fractions against novice teachers.

The major objective of this study was to develope a computer simulation model to analyze drying process in a deep bed with natural air. The approach used to describe the continuous drying process in a deep bed was to divide the process into many small processes and simulate them by consecutively calculating the changes of grain and air conditions that occurred during short increment of time. Success criterion of the drying system was based on grain deterioration estimated by drymatter decomposition during drying. The results of the experimental test showed that the model satisfactory.

Let G be a finite group and m a divisor of ${\mid}G{\mid}$. We prove that G has at least ${\tau}(m)$ cyclic subgroups whose orders divide m, where ${\tau}(m)$ is the number of divisors of m.

This paper suggests a procedure of decomposing a multi-stage dynamic location problem into stages with respect stage. The problem can be formulated as a mixed integer programming problem, which is difficult to be solved directly. We perform a series of transformations in order to divide the problem into stages. In the process, the assumption of PSO (production-system-only) plays a critical role. The resulting subproblem becomes a typical single-stage dynamic location problem, whose efficient algorithms have been developed efficiently. An extension of this study is to find a method to integrate the solutions of subproblems for a final solution of the problem.

This research is aimed to clarify police officer's working personality characteristics. The sample was divide in two sub-groups according to research group of career police officer and comparative group of novice police officer. The followings are list of significant tendencies. First, career police officer have aggression, cynicisms, suspicion contrast to novice police officer. Second, working personalities of aggression, cynicisms, suspicion is relationship between age, rank, service term. Findings of this study is that working personality of police officer in korea was made survey empirically, and identified change process of police officer's working personality.

자연언어 처리 시스템은 시제품 개발이 비교적 용이한 반면에 이를 실용적인 시스템으로 발전 시키는데 많은 어려움이 있다. 본 논문에서는 형태소 분석기와 구문분석기, 기계번역 시스템 등을 개발할 때 발생하는 문제점과 방법론을 고찰하고, 실용적인 시스템을 개발하기 위한 효율적인 방법으로 2-step 패러다임과 이를 실현하는 방안으로 기능별 모듈화에 의한 divide and conquer 기법, 단순화 기법, 예외처리 기법 등을 활용하는 방법을 제안한다.
