This study describes the spermatogenesis and sperm ultrastructure of the spiny top shell, Batillus cornutus using light and electron microscopy. The spiny top shells were collected by divers in the coastal water of Wandogun, Cheollanamdo, Korea(N $34^{\circ}13'$, E $126^{\circ}47'$) at May 2003. Spiny top shells of $60.0{\sim}69.9\;mm$ in shell height were used in this study. The testis comprises many spermatogenic follicles which contains germ cells in different developmental stages. The primary spermatocytes in the pachytene stage were characterized by synaptonemal complexes. The early spermatids were characterized by appearance of Golgi complex, increased karyoplasmic electron density and tubular mitochondria. In early spermatid the mass of proacrosomal granules consists of numerous heterogeneous granules with high electron density. From the mid-stage of spermiogenesis the well-developed mitochondria aggregate posterior to the nucleus, and surround the proximal and distal centrioles. In this stage, proacrosomal granules are condensed and form a acrosome with thin envelope. During the late spermiogenesis, the acrosome begins to elongate and then became conical. The sperm consists of head, mid-piece and tail. The head comprises a round nucleus and a conical acrosome. Acrosomal rod of microfibrous is observed between nucleus and acrosome. Five mitochondria observed in mid-piece. And tail has the typical "9+2" microtubular system originates from the centrioles.
Objectives : The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between the Cold-pattern and the quantitative index through the results of an anthropometric method and Bio Impedance Analysis (BIA) of the Haenyeo living in Jeju island. Furthermore, we will examine the effect of Cold-pattern on the quality of life. Methods : BIA indices were acquired directly from Inbody770 and questionnaires were collected by Gallup Korea professional surveyor through face to face interviews. Binary regression analysis and linear regression analysis were used to examine the association between collected data. Results : Total of 175 of people were participated in this study. First, we examined the difference of the indicators in the Cold-pattern group and the non-Cold pattern group by the average comparison of the anthropometry and BIA indices. Most of the non-Cold pattern group showed high quality of life, BIA and anthropometry. In the relationship between Cold-pattern and anthropometry and BIA indices, BMI and PA indices were found to affect the Cold-pattern on a group basis. As the BMI increased by $1kg/m^2$, probability of not being non-Cold pattern was 1.13 times. and as the PA increased by $1^{\circ}$, probability of not being non-Cold pattern was 2.4 times. In the case of EQ5D value, the quality of life of ${\beta}$ was increased by 0.08 in non-Cold pattern (p <.05), EQ5D VAS of ${\beta}$ was also increased by 10.05 (p <.05). Conclusions : This study showed that BMI and PA could be used as a clinical index to evaluate the Cold-pattern as a clinical indicator, and there is a difference in quality of life according to Cold-pattern.

Objectives Haenyeo are Korean professional women breath-hold divers in Jeju island. The aim of this study was to investigate the clinical characteristics of depressed Haenyeo group, compared to non-Haenyeo depressed group. Methods This study included 75 Haenyeo and 340 non-Haenyeo with depressive disorders recruited from the Dementia Early Detection Program in Jeju island. Structural diagnostic interviews were performed using the Korean version of Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview. All patients completed the questionnaires, including the Subjective Memory Complaints Questionnaire (SMCQ), the Patient Health Questionnaire-15 (PHQ-15), and the Blessed dementia scale. Depression was evaluated by the Korean version of short form the Geriatric Depression Scale (K-SGDS) and cognition was assessed by the Korean version of the Consortium to Establish a Registry for Alzheimer's Disease (CERAD) assessment packet. Results Although the mean scores of the K-SGDS were similar between Haenyeo and non-Haenyeo depressed groups, the Haenyeo group showed a higher mean score on the PSQ-15 (p < 0.001, ANCOVA adjusting for age, the K-SGDS and education). The Haenyeo group showed poorer performance on the Korean Version of Frontal Assessment Batter (p < 0.001), the Mini-Mental State Examination in the Korean version of the CERAD Assessment Packet (p < 0.018), the word fluency test (p < 0.001), and the word list memory test (p = 0.012) in ANCOVA adjusting for age and education. The mean SMCQ score was higher in the Haenyeo depressed group than in the non-Haenyeo depressed group. Conclusions The Haenyeo depressed group shows cognitive dysfunction, especially frontal lobe dysfunction, compared to the non-Haenyeo depressed group, indicating the Haenyeo depressed group may have more severe frontolimbic dysfunction due to chronic exposure to hypoxia. The Haenyeo depressed group suffers more somatic symptoms than the non-Haenyeo depressed group.
This paper aimed to find out the eco-friendly approach enabling to directly print patterns and dye colors on fabrics using leaves of plants. In the research process, I found out the 'eco-printing' which could effectively express unique colors and patterns of plants. While eco-printing can design the patterns and colors of plants in nature using the leaves of plant(Eucalyptus), it is difficult to implement because it is not systematically and academically investigated including the dictionary definition in Korea until now. Thus, I tried to define the eco-printing and natural dyeing using leaves or flowers of plants enabling to get natural patterns and colors and do the experimental research and production using the leaves of Eucalyptus. The leaves of Eucalyptus were arranged on a wool scarf and a silk scarf, tied and applied pressure to them and made pigments penetrate into fabrics by heating or steaming them. This approach is to directly print the patterns using the shapes of plants on fabrics unlike the existing approaches dyeing by extracting dyeing solution from natural materials. Furthermore, the change of colors was attempted by using the color fixers. In accordance with the results of this experimental research, the scarf design differentiated from the existing products could be acquired. It was identified that eco-printing could induce the color variables depending on the conditions of each material and environment. For improving the color variables, various kinds of fabrics and divers kinds of materials which can be easily acquired in a daily life will be investigated and compared. Furthermore, it is expected that the experimental research and production techniques on eco-printing be utilized when starting natural dyeing and the scope of natural dyeing be more expanded.

Traffic Density is the most important of the three primary macroscopic traffic stream parameters, because it is most directly related to traffic demand(Traffic Engineering, 2004). It is defined as the number of existing vehicles within a given distance at a certain time. However, due to weather, road conditions, and cost issues, collecting density directly on the field is difficult. This makes studies of density less actively than those of traffic volume or velocity. For these reasons, there is insufficient attempts on divers collecting methods or researches on the accuracy of measured values. In this paper, we used the 'Density Measuring System' based on the synthesise technology of several camera images as a method to measure density. The collected density value by the 'Density Mesuring System' is selected as the true value based on the density define, and this value was compared with the density calculated by the traditional measurement methods. As a result of the comparison, the density value using the fundamental equation method is the closest to the true value as RMSE shows 1.8 to 2.5. In addition, we investigated some issues that can be overlooked easily such as the collecting interval to be considered on collecting density directly by calculating the moment density and the average density. Despite the actual traffic situation of the experiment site is LOS B, it is difficult to judge the real traffic situation because the moment density values per second are observed max 16.0 (veh/km) to min 2.0 (veh/km). However, the average density measured for 15 minutes at 30-second intervals was 8.3-7.9 (veh/km) and it indicates precisely LOS B.
In the highly competitive and divers world of financial market, customer is the single most important factor to company's survival. Especially, creating a relationship with valued customers is a key to success. CRM provides the mean to retain high value customers. It takes a prospect of what customers expect. Utilizing those knowledge can help the products and service meet the customers' needs, thereby maximizing customer satisfaction and company's profit. In this report, I am going to suggest a few ways to develop successful CRM in the life insurance industry. First, CRM should innovate the way of communication to keep pace with Web 2.0 era. In other words, the customer's needs should be caught by real-time communication than traditional off-line market research. Thus, the functionality and specification of products can be decided by customer's direct choice so that the customers are able to purchase the understanding and experience of the products. Second, CRM project should consider whether the initial strategy plan can promise the stable growth of customer at the first step. When planning strategy, the project needs to identify what customer wants and how to fulfill the needs with stable growth of the customer. In addition, the CRM should be developed by realizing that customer centric benefits ultimately guarantee the growth of the organization. Third, CRM systems should enhance the organization's ability to take the customer's insight in a 360 degree view and to capture the voice of the customer directly. In order to develop the best matched product package, more precise customer segmentation should be ahead of market segmentation strategy. Forth, the biggest reward from CRM will be a customer royalty program. Many successful banks are already planning and practicing customer royalty strategy. A comprehensive analysis of customers and their behavior allow organization to identify high value potential customers' needs and determine a strategy required to meet those needs. Even life insurance companies such as Prudential Korea are developing products designed for royal customers. Fifth, understanding and managing the experience of customer called Customer Experience Management also can increase customer satisfaction. Measuring only customers' experience and adapting it to marketing strategy make products position in the gap between the customers' expectation and experience not required by market. A key component of CEM is its application across all organizational functions. At last, the direction of change and development of CRM can be defined from the conceptualization of information technology represented by Ubiquitous and Web 2.0. Instead of just managing customer information, companies should take the initiative in personalized system with customer oriented strategy. Furthermore, with the regular communication between CRM stakeholders (Sales-Marketing-IT), customer's demand should be directly reflected to enterprise strategy in real time.
The influence of the relative humidity, the temperature and the velocity of supply air on evaporation rate has been studied with non-boiling forced evaporation system in order to treat very low level radioactive liquid wastes produced from the decontamination and decommissioning activities. Experimental data on the evaporation rate have been obtained with the divers variables and experimental equation of air velocity was also obtained by the correlation of those data. The decontamination factor of this system was also obtained by the experimental data from a simulated liquid waste containing Cs-137 radio isotope ; $DF=10^4$. Since the commercial system will be operated for the treatment of the very low level radioactive liquid waste produced from decontamination & decommissioning of TRIGA Mark-II&III research reactor, the environmental assessment has been conducted to improve the operational safety. Exposure dose rate for an individual member of general public was assessed, and it showed that it was very lower than individual dose limits. The release of radioactivity of radioisotope material (Cs-137) to the environment was assessed, and result showed that it was $4.637{\times}10^{-14}\;{\mu}Ci/cc$.
Seasonal variations of settling particles and metal fluxes were monitored at a nearshore site of Marian Cove, King Geroge Island, Antarctica from 28th February 1998 to 22nd January 2000. Near-bottom sediment traps were deployed at 30m water depth of the cove, and sampling bottles were recovered every month by SCUBA divers. Total particulate flux and metal concentrations were determined from the samples. Total particulate flux showed a distinct seasonality, high in austral summer and low in austral winter: the highest flux $(21.97g\;m^{-2}d^{-1})$ was found in February of 1999, and the lowest $(2.47g\;m^{-2}d^{-1})$ in September of 1998, when sea surface was frozen completely. Lithogenic particle flux accounted for 90% of the total flux, and showed a significantly negative correlation with the thickness of snow accumulation around the study site. It was suggested that the most of the lithogenic particles trapped in the bottles was transported by melt water stream from the surrounding land. Fluxes of Al, Fe, Ti, Mn, Zn, Cii, Co, Ni, Cr, Cd, and Pb showed similar seasonal variations with the total flux, and their averaged fluxes were 34000, 9000,960, 180, 13.8, 17.6, 3.0,2.1, 5.4, 0.02, and $1.5nmol\;m^{-2}d^{-1}$ respectively. Among the metals, Cu and Cd showed the most noticeable seasonal patterns. The Cd flux correlated positively with the fluxes of biogenic components while the Cu flux correlated with both the lithogenic and biogenic particle fluxes. The Cu flux peak in the late summer is likely related to a substantial amount of inflow of ice melt water laden with Cu-enriched lithogenic particles. On the other hands, the Cd flux peak in the early spring may be associated with the unusually early occurred phytoplankton bloom.
Recently, the defect maintenance period of the new construction structure was extended from 5 years to 10 years. And according to change of realization on the quality of construction and maintenance, a development of semi-permanent method of construction is required for maintenance of blind parts of underwater structure, such as bridge, dam, harbor, etc. In this study, we proposed a floating type sector dry caisson, which is effective to the maintenance of submerged large structures. These large structures were being maintained incompletely, partly due to unskilled divers and difficult working condition. Considering the easiness of access to the maintenance area and the cost for set up the working structure, especially for the case of structure slabs close to the sea surface and harrow pile span structures, we developed and introduced a sector dry caisson instead of the full caisson structure. By doing this, it is easy to move out the caisson rapidly in emergence case. Therefore, we expect that the floating sector caisson will contribute to reduce working time and improve the quality of underwater work in future days.
A culture experiment of the ark shell, Anadara broughtonii, one of the edible clams, was carried out in Yoja Bay located at the south ern coast of Korea to find the state of growth and any problems which influence them. Seed shells at an average length of 2.5cm and a weight of 2.5g were planted on bottom mud with a density 20 to 40 shells per square meter on March 10 and 11, 1982. Shell length, shell height, shell breadth, meat weight (wet weight), and total weight for six months from August 1982 to February 1983 were measured to find their state of growth. At the same time, the survival rate was investigated during the whole culture period through December 1983 when they were harvested. Growth, on the whole, was fast when water temperature was high. For a year, an average shell length and total weight attained to 6.1 cm and 63.0g respectively and meat weight was gained to 19.5g. It showed that the state of growth was favourable. Shell shape became round from the oval ana meat weight increase was faster than shell growth as time goes by regardless of water temperature while both shells and total weight increased faster during high temperature. A month after seed shells were planted, about $30\%$ of them was dead and a high mortality, say $5\%\;to\;8\%$ per month, was kept till September. It dropped to around $2\%$ aften divers eliminated starfish, Asterias spp., in August. Thereafter, the rate maintained through December. In all, the final survival rate was about $10\%$ at the time of harvest in December 1983. It was caused mainly by starfish predation. Therefore, a best way for satisifactory culture is seemed to find a way to get rid of the starfish.
