심해저 채광시스템에 대한 분산제어기 설계에 관한 연구 (Design of a Decentralized Controller for Deep-sea Mining System)

  • 심해채광시스템(Deep-sea mining system)은 보편적으로 수상선(Surface vessel), 양광관(Lifting system), 버퍼(Buffer), 유연관(Flexible pipe) 그리고 집광기(Miner)로 구성된다. 이러한 채광시스템은 하부시스템들(Subsystems)로 구성되기 때문에 대규모 시스템(Large-scale system)으로 가정할 수 있다. 대규모 시스템을 제어하기 위하여, 최근에는 분산제어기법(Decentralized control approach)이 널리 적용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 대규모 시스템인 채광시스템에 분산제어 기법의 적용성에 대한 기본연구로서, 먼저 심해채광시스템을 유사 모델(양광관과 버퍼를 구면진자 유연관을 2차원 선형 스프링 결합)로 가정하고 간략하게 모델화하였다. 간략화된 모델을 바탕으로, 대규모 심해 채광시스템을 2개의 하부 시스템, 수상선, 양광관과 버퍼로 구성된 시스템과 집광기 시스템으로 각각 나누었다. 다음으로 각 하부 시스템 사이의 상호작용 요소(Interaction term)를 외란(Disturbance)으로 가정하고, 각 하부시스템에 대한 분산제어기를 설계하였다. 여기서 제어기는 집광기가 주어진 경로를 움직이는 동안, 집광기 시스템과 수상선, 양광관과 버퍼 시스템 사이의 거리가 일정하게 유지되도록 제어하였다. 끝으로 제안된 제어기의 효율성을 검증하기 위해, 간략화된 모델을 이용한 수치 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다.

A Vector-Controlled PMSM Drive with a Continually On-Line Learning Hybrid Neural-Network Model-Following Speed Controller

  • A high-performance robust hybrid speed controller for a permanent-magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drive with an on-line trained neural-network model-following controller (NNMFC) is proposed. The robust hybrid controller is a two-degrees-of-freedom (2DOF) integral plus proportional & rate feedback (I-PD) with neural-network model-following (NNMF) speed controller (2DOF I-PD NNMFC). The robust controller combines the merits of the 2DOF I-PD controller and the NNMF controller to regulate the speed of a PMSM drive. First, a systematic mathematical procedure is derived to calculate the parameters of the synchronous d-q axes PI current controllers and the 2DOF I-PD speed controller according to the required specifications for the PMSM drive system. Then, the resulting closed loop transfer function of the PMSM drive system including the current control loop is used as the reference model. In addition to the 200F I-PD controller, a neural-network model-following controller whose weights are trained on-line is designed to realize high dynamic performance in disturbance rejection and tracking characteristics. According to the model-following error between the outputs of the reference model and the PMSM drive system, the NNMFC generates an adaptive control signal which is added to the 2DOF I-PD speed controller output to attain robust model-following characteristics under different operating conditions regardless of parameter variations and load disturbances. A computer simulation is developed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed 200F I-PD NNMF controller. The results confirm that the proposed 2DOF I-PO NNMF speed controller produces rapid, robust performance and accurate response to the reference model regardless of load disturbances or PMSM parameter variations.

유체 순환 혈압 시뮬레이터의 구현 (Implementation of The Fluid Circulation Blood Pressure Simulator)

  • A new type of the fluid circulation blood pressure simulator was proposed to enhance the blood pressure simulator used for the development and evaluation of automatic sphygmomanometers. Various pressure waveform of fluid flowing in the pipe was reproduced by operating the proportional control valve after applying a pressure on the fluid in pressurized oil tank. After that, appropriate fluid was supplied by operating the proportional control valve, which enabled to reproduce various pressure wave of the fluid flowing in the tube. To accomplish this work, the mathematical model was carefully reviewed in cooperating with the proposed simulator. After modeling the driving signal as input signal and the pressure in internal tube as output signal, the simulation on system parameters such as internal volume, cross-section of orifice and supply pressure, which are sensitive to dynamic characteristic of system, was accomplished. System parameters affecting the dynamic characteristic were analyzed in the frequency bandwidth and also reflected to the design of the plant. The performance evaluator of fluid dynamic characteristic using proportional control signal was fabricated on the basis of obtained simulation result. An experimental apparatus was set-up and measurements on the dynamic characteristic, nonlinearity, and rising and falling response was carried out to verify the characteristic of the fluid dynamic model. Controller was designed and thereafter, simulation was performed to control the output signal with respect to the reference input in the fluid dynamic model using the proposed proportional control valve. Hybrid controller combined with an proportional controller and feed-forward controller was fabricated after applying a disturbance observer to the control plant. Comparison of the simulations between the conventional proportional controller and the proposed hybrid simulator indicated that even though the former showed good control performance.

심박 변이도 분석을 통한 전중혈(膻中穴) 압진(壓診)과 자율신경실조의 상관성 연구 (Study of the Relation between Palpation of the Jeonjung(膻中, $CV_{17}$) and Autonomic Nerve System by Heart Rate Variability)

  • Objectives : Since the Front Points are treated as response zone, it can be used for the diagnosis and treatment of disease in viscera and bowels. Jeonjung($CV_{17}$) is the Front Point of SIMPO, it is related with cardiovascular, neuro-psychiatrical disease in aspect of Oriental Medicine. This research is for clarifying relations with palpation of the Jeonjung($CV_{17}$) and autonomic nerve system by comparing HRV and SRI(Stress Reaction Index). Methods : This study was proceeded for three months, from June 2009 to September 2009. Among 31 healthy volunteers, 13 subjects who complained the pressure pain around Jeonjung($CV_{17}$) are classified pressure pain group and 18 subjects who had no pain around Jeonjung($CV_{17}$) as normal group. All subjects had their HRV(SA-2000E: Medicore Co..Ltd. Korea) and SRI measured at visit. We studied the difference of HRV between two groups.(Statistics by Student t-test, p<0.05) Results : LF normalization of the pressure pain group were significantly higher than those of the normal group. HF normalization of the pressure pain group were significantly lower than those of the normal group. Compared with those of the normal group, total SRI of the pressure pain group were low but it's not significant. Conclusions : The results of HRV of the pressure pain group show that pressure pain around Jeonjung($CV_{17}$) is related to mental stress and autonomic disturbance.

A Study on the Fundamental Cause of Stall Stagnation Phenomena in Surges in Compressor Systems

  • Although the stall stagnation phenomena have often been experienced in site and also analytically in numerical experiments in surges in systems of compressors and flow paths, the fundamental causes have not been identified yet. In order to clarify the situations, behaviours of infinitesimal disturbance waves superposed on a main flow were studied in a simplified one-dimensional flow model. A ratio of the amplifying rate of the system instability to the characteristic slope of the compressor element was surveyed as the instability enhancement factor. Numerical calculations have shown the following tendency of the factor. In the situation where both the sectional area ratio and the length ratio of the delivery flow-path to the suction duct are sufficiently large, the enhancement factors are greater in magnitude, which means occurrence of ordinary deep surges. However, in the situation where the area ratio and/or the length ratio is relatively smaller, the enhancement factor tends to lessen significantly, which situation tends to suppress deep surges for the same value of the characteristic slope. It could result in the stall stagnation condition. In the domain of area ratio vs. length ratio of the delivery duct to the suction duct, contour-lines of the enhancement factor behave qualitatively similar to those of the stall stagnation boundaries of a fan analytically obtained, suggesting that a certain range of the enhancement factor values could specify the stagnation occurrence. The significant decreases in the factors are observed to accompany appearances of phase lags and travelling waves in the wave motions, which macroscopically suggests breaking down of the complete surge actions of filling and emptying of the air in the delivery duct. The strength of the action is deeply related with acoustic interferences and is evaluated in terms of the volume-modified reduced resonance frequency proposed by the author. These observations have shown the fundamental cause and the sequence of the stall stagnation in principle.

도농통합형 도시에 있어서 생물서식처 공간특성에 관한 연구(I) - 천안시 성환읍 매주리지역을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Biotope's Characters of the Mixed Rural City(I) - In the case of Maejuri area in Sunghwan eup, Chonan city -)

  • This study was aimed to establish the method and process of the Biotope Mapping System.(B.M.S.) The main aspects of research for biotope were divided by 4 schemes such as biosphere, geosphere, antroposphere and evaluation informations. The cartographic function of GIS(geographic information system) was also used to mapping them. The B.M.S. had been progressed with 5 steps : (1) making research goals, (2) constructing the graphic and attribute databases, (3) classifying 3 types of biotope such as tree/shrub biotop, grass biotop and wetland biotop. (4) cross-analyzing biotope types against land use, habitat characters, relief characters and danger/disturbance elements, (5) evaluating the biotope's potentialities. Only 3 steps of them were done in this study. The results of applicating the B.M.S on the research site as followings : 1. The interdisciplinary researches were needed to develop the B.M.S in Korea since ecological habitat conditions of Germany, England are differed from them of Korea. 2. The distributions of the land uses in Maejuri, Seunghwan eup in Chonan city were mainly recorded by forest(29.82%), orchard(14.11%) and landscaping around building site(9.05%). 3. The percentages of the Tree/Shrub Biotope type were ranged by the orchard type(23.8%), natural and artificial deciduous type with natural coniferous(23.6%) and etc. 4. The Grass Biotope type was mainly recorded by the wild grassland type(27.99%), garden type(14.21%) and peddy field with wild grassland(13.24%). 5. The distributions of the wetland were pointed high at the wetland type with reed marsh and edge vegetation around wetland(54.79%) and etc.

FDR를 위한 RDWT에 의한 주파수 추정 기법 (Frequency Estimation Method using Recursive Discrete Wavelet Transform for Fault Disturbance Recorder)

  • A wide-area protection intelligent technique has been used to improve a reliability in power systems and to prevent a blackout. Nowadays, voltage and current phasor estimation has been executed by GPS-based synchronized PMU, which has become an important way of wide-area blackout protection for the prevention of expending faults in power systems. As this technique has the difficulties in collecting and sharing of information, there have been used a FNET method for the wide-area intelligent protection. This technique is very useful for the prediction of the inception fault and for the prevention of fault propagation with accurate monitoring frequency and frequency deviation. It consists of FDRs and IMS. It is well known that FNET can detect the dynamic behavior of system and obtain the real-time frequency information. Therefore, FDRs must adopt a optimal frequency estimation method that is robust to noise and fault. In this paper, we present comparative studies for the frequency estimation method using IRDWT(improved recursive discrete wavelet transform), for the frequency estimation method using FRDWT(fast recursive discrete wavelet transform). we used the Republic of Korea 345kV power system modeling data by EMTP-RV. The user-defined arbitrary waveforms were used in order to evaluate the performance of the proposed two kinds of RDWT. Also, the frequency variation data in various range, both large range and small range, were used for simulation. The simulation results showed that the proposed frequency estimation technique using FRDWT can be the optimal frequency measurement method applied to FDRs.

A.C. 서보모터 속도 제어를 위한 신경망 자율 적응제어 시스템의 적용 (Application of Neural Network Self Adaptative Control System for A.C. Servo Motor Speed Control)

  • 신경회로망은 많은 제어 시스템 분야에서 이용되고 있으나, 단일 궤환 신경회로망 제어기로 사용할 경우 입출력 패턴을 구하기 쉽지 않고, 부하급변 및 외란이 인가되는 경우에는 만족할만한 성능을 얻을 수 없었다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 신경회로망 출력노드의 활성화 함수 대신에 제어 대상체를 사용하는 새로운 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 결과적으로 제안된 신경회로망 자율 적응 제어 시스템은 구조가 간략화 되었으며 입출력 패턴의 문제가 해결되었고 일반적인 역전파 알고리즘을 이용하여 실시간으로 학습이 가능하게 되었다. 제안된 신경망 자율 적응 제어의 알고리즘 효과는 고속연산을 실행하는 DSP(TMS320C32)에 알고리즘을 탑재하여 A.C. 서보 모터의 속도제어에 의해서 확인하였다.

하천의 물리 환경 평가체계의 구축 (A development of an assessment system for stream physical environments in Korea)

  • 본 연구는 국내 하천의 고유성을 반영할 수 있는 물리적 환경평가 체계를 개발하는 것이다. 하천유형 분류, 평가구간 선정, 평가 항목 및 지표에 대하여 종합적으로 요약하였다. 하천의 물리적 구조는 하천 유수력에 의한 반응의 결과이므로 하도경사, 하상재료의 입경 및 하도지형의 특성에 따라 하천을 3가지 유형으로 분류하였다. 평가구간은 각 하천 유형의 대표적인 특징인 step 또는 여울출현 간격, 사행도에 따라 저수로 폭의 10배와 25배 기준으로 선정하였다. 평가지표는 하도 안정성, 흐름 상태, 횡단면 형상, 하안 안정성, 하도개수 및 하천횡단구조물과 같은 공통지표와 유효 서식지, 하상 매몰도, 흐름의 다양성 및 step과 여울 출현빈도와 같은 하천 유형별 특성지표로 구성되어 있다. 적용성 검토를 위하여 개발된 평가체계를 9개의 하천에 적용하고 그 결과를 제시하였다.

Automatic Control Of Dissolved Oxygen In Activated Sludge Aeration Tank

  • The quality of the effluent from an activated sludge aeration tank can deteriorate when the substrate removal rate decreases due to an abrupt reduction in the DO concentration, which is affected by such operating conditions as the loading rate, temperature, wastewater composition, and so on. In this research, a DO control system that includes a PI (proportional-integral) controller/Hiraoka controller was developed and applied to a pilot-scale activated sludge process, then its acceptability was estimated. The applicability of the respiration rate to DO control was also estimated. The respiration rate indicated a variety of input organic loading rates, which is the main disturbance to the DO concentration in an aeration tank. When the influent concentration incrementally decreased and increased between CODcr 1,000 mg/l and 100 mg/l, the control system with a PI controller exhibited a good llperformance-the average DO concentrations were 2.00$\pm$0.14 mg/l and 1.88$\pm$0.15 mg/l (set value was 2.0 mg/l), respectively, and the settling time was just 10 minites. When the control system was operated for 4 days, the DO concentration was 1.99$\pm$0.18 mg/l and 32.6% of the air flowrate was saved. However, the fluctuations in the respiration rates and air flowrates were severe, which could be harmful to the stability of the biomass and mechanical stability of the blower. A possible approach to solve this problem may be the simultaneous control of the loading rate and DO concentration.
