  • Conventional streetlight with the not-adjustable light distribution characteristic is generating light pollution such as glare, damage to the crops and disturbed sleep, because beam of streetlight is not distributed evenly according to the surrounding areas and road conditions. In this paper, we proposed the new structure LED streetlight controlled light irradiation angle according to the surrounding areas and road conditions. Proposed LED streetlight are available to the adjustable light distribution characteristic using the half-circle angle control device. Result of measurement and simulation, beam angle is made available to control at least from $100^{\circ}$ up to $154^{\circ}$, average illumination exceeded 15% of KS regulation and overall uniformity exceeded more than 50% of KS regulation. the Developed large capacity LED streetlight luminaire is considered to minimize glare and light pollution and optimize uniformity ratio of illuminance.

  • In seasonal frozen areas which have a temperature difference in the winter and spring season like south korea, if stiffness reduction by repeated freezing and thawing occurs to slopes adjacent to private facilities or mountain slopes, safety factor is insufficient to design criteria and landslide could be occurs due to rainfall or snowfall. It can lead to large damage of human life and property. In this study, in order to examine the safety changes of mountain slopes by repeated freezing and thawing, soil samples series of SP and SM by USCS distributed in surface soil of mountain slopes were collected for specimens. Through the direct shear test, the characterestics of frozen soil shear strength were analyzed and by utilizing numerical methods, chracteristics of strength reduction of weathered granite soil according to repeated action of freezing and thawing, changes in the stability of the slopes when applying freezing and thawing of the soil samples were examined. As a result, the maximum shear stress decreased approximately 10%, and slope stability analysis confirmed that required safety factor is less than compare with the non-frozen samples.

  • Combustion characteristics of full-scale gas generators were studied experimentally by changing the injector number installed at the injector head. Three full-scale gas generators were utilized; they have same total mass flow rate but mass flow rates per injector are different. Thirteen, nineteen and thirty seven injectors, which have internal-mixing and double-swirl characteristics, are distributed in injector heads, respectively. The results showed that pressure fluctuations in the gas generators with 13 and 19 injectors didn't occur around longitudinal resonant frequency, however longitudinal-mode pressure fluctuation appeared slightly in the gas generator with 37 injectors. As the number of injectors increased, deviations of temperature distribution in the combustion chamber decreased gradually, but the damage of injector LOx posts became a little severe.

  • This research was conducted to determine the effects of chitosanoligosaccharide on liver poisoning induced by cadmium (Cd). Three groups of mice were used in this research. The group was only injected with cadmium (5.0 mg/kg; i.p.) (group Cd) and the other group was injected with cadmium and chitosanoligosaccharide (0.5% solution) at the same time (group Cd+Chi). In order to investigate the inhibitory action of chitosanoligosaccharide on liver damage, cadmium concentration in liver tissues and metallothionein (MT) concentration were relatively measured. In addition, histological observations were made to determine the morphologic injury of liver tissues. Cadmium concentration in liver tissues was drastically lower in groups Cd+Chi than in group Cd. MT concentration in liver tissues was lower in group Cd than in groups Cd+Chi. As the result of electron microscopic observation, mitochondria in group Cd showed a severe swelling phenomenon, RER fragment and ribosome dropout. However, in groups Cd+Chi, mitochondria with high electron density were distributed and RER forming a typical lamellae with ribosome was observed. From these results, cadmium toxicity on rat liver tissues could be lessened by chitosanoligosaccharide.

  • Environmental conditions may cause the quality change of fruits during distribution after harvest. In order to prevent the damage or quality change of fruits for distribution, the characteristic of fruits affected by the environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity under various distribution conditions should be known. This research was performed to analyze how the environmental conditions affect the factors such as weight loss rate and ethylene production of the peach under several distribution conditions. Environmental conditions of the actual distributed route were evaluated and the data obtained from the conditions were used for the simulated environmental tests. Regression models of the weight loss rate and the ethylene production of peach were developed and used in predicting peach quality. The weight loss rate of the peach estimated by the ASHRAE data was shown the higher value on the transportation temperature condition than on the low and room temperature conditions. The weight loss rate and the ethylene production of the peach on the simulated distribution conditions were measured and the measured weight loss rate of peach was the smaller than the theoretically estimated one. The regression models of the weight loss rate and the ethylene production were developed respectively.

  • Pruritus is [CHECK DEFN] itchy feeling of one's skin. We often face stroke patients who complain about Pruritus. They occasionally fail to fall asleep or have a secondary infection as a result of scratching. For these reasons, severe Pruritus brings down general condition and interferes with recovery. The causes of Pruritus are distributed to from skin diseases and from internal diseases. Especially among the skin diseases, Xerotic Eczema, which is called Senile Eczema causes the dry skin in the elderly, especially lower limb's extensor part. According to the epidemiology, 20% of the old have Xerotic Eczema. In oriental medicine, Pruritus is called Pungsoyang(風瘙痒), Pungyang(風痒), Yangpung(痒風), Sinyang(身痒). The cause of Pruritus is divided into two. One is endogenous factors and the other is exogenous factors. The former are deficiency of blood(血虛), blood fever(血熱), wind-heat due to internal damage(內傷風熱), damp-heat in the liver and gallbladder(肝膽濕熱), endogenous wind stirring in the liver(肝風內動), deticiency syndrome of the spleen(脾虛), deficiency of Yin of the liver and kidneys(肝腎陰虛) and deficiency of the Penetration and Conception Vessels(衝任不足). The latter are wind-cold due to exogenous affection(外感風寒) and wind-heat due to exogenous affection(外感風寒). We report two stroke patients who complained of severe Pruritus They were diagnosed as having Xerotic Eczema by a dermatologist. We regarded their Pruritus as blood fever(血熱) and wind-heat(風熱) and prescribed Sopung-San to these patients. These patients showed significant improvement.

  • Currently, the pursuit of industrialization for rapid economic growth has led to serious environmental damage and related problems because of comtamination with chemicals. Over time, this contaminaion is getting worse and worse. Most developing countries have tried to pursue their economic development and growth, however without preparation for the control and disposal of hazardous wastes. Permitting hazardous waste to be abandoned and disposed in appropriately causes soil pollution, groundwater contamination, and surface water contamination, which are all extremely serious. In particular, when hazardous wastes which include toxic chemicals are distributed around the living environment even in small amounts, concentration can occur in the food chain through ecological systems, which can therefore affect human. Chromium(VI) has contaminated soil in China. We experimented to test the immobilization, chemical reduction, and soil washing methods in order to make our experiment efficient in the purification of soil contaminated with Chromium(VI), and to prove the theoretical models by experiments testing the field applications. The field experiment showed that result of experiment satisfied with the standards of China. The result of multi-stage continuous remediation reduce the Chromium(VI) concentration to 11.95 mg/kg and 14.83 mg/kg that were equivalent to 98% and 97% removal rates. This result implied we could apply multi-stage process of Chromium(VI) contaminated soil to meet the regulatory limit of Chromium(VI).

  • Ixeris dentata is a typical oriental herb. It is a widely distributed perennial in Korea, Japan and China, which belongs to the Compositae Family. The whole plant of I. dentata has been used for the treatment of pneumonia, contusion, tumor and hepatitis. It has also been used for the treatment of allergic diseases as a folk therapy in Korea. I. dentata is known to have aliphatics, triterpenoids and sesquiterpene glycosides in its composition. The present study was designed to explore the protective effects of water- and ethanol- extracts from I. dentata on irradiated rodents. For oral administration (twice per day), the extractive powder of I. dentata and the positive control (ascorbic acid) were dissolved at a concentration of 0.5 and 250mg $ml^{-1}$ in saline, respectively. Thirty days after irradiation, the ratio of the weight of the testis to the body weight was lower than 50% in the radiation groups than the control group. The ALP concentrations in the group treated with the water-extracts of the leaf were $79.68\pm{1.39%}$ (p<0.05) of those of the radiation control. Both of the SGOT and SGPT in the group treated with the ethanol-extract of the root were $72.68\pm{0.95}\;and\;77.87\pm{5.74}$ (p<0.05) of those of the radiation control, respectively. The levels of DNA damage induced by gamma radiation decreased in the experimental group to which the extracts of I. dentata were administered before irradiation. In conclusion, these results indicate that the extracts of I. dentata have an excellent ability to reduce the radicals and they have a protective effect on DNA breakage caused by radiation.

  • Since the DoS(Denial of Service) attack is still an important vulnerable element in many web service sites, sites including public institution should try their best in constructing defensive systems. Recently, DDoS(Distributed Denial of Service) has been raised by prompting mass network traffic that uses NTP's monlist function or DoS attack has been made related to the DNS infrastructure which is impossible for direct defense. For instance, in June 2013, there has been an outbreak of an infringement accident where Computing and Information Agency was the target. There was a DNS application DoS attack which made the public institution's Information System impossible to run its normal services. Like this, since there is a high possibility in having an extensive damage due to the characteristics of DDoS in attacking unspecific information service and not being limited to a particular information system, efforts have to be made in order to minimize cyber threats. This thesis proposes a method for using TTL (Time To Live) value in IP header to detect DDoS attack with IP spoofing, which occurs when data is transmitted under the agreed regulation between the international and domestic information system.

  • Industrial Control System(ICS) is a system that measures, monitors, and controls various distributed assets, and is used in industrial facilities such as energy, chemical, transportation, water treatment, and manufacturing plants or critial infrastructure. Because ICS system errors and interruptions can cause serious problem and asset damage, research on prevention and minimization of security threats in industrial control systems has been carried out. Previously wireless communication was applied in limited fields to minimize security risks, but the demand for industrial wireless communication devices is increasing due to ease of maintenance and cost advantages. In this paper, we analyzed the security threats of industrial wireless communication devices supporting WirelessHART and ISA100.11a. Based on the analysis results, we proposed the security requirements for adopting and operating industrial wireless communication devices. We expect that the proposed requirements can mitigate security threats of industrial wireless devices in ICS.
