This study performed a response analysis according to the transmission error of the yaw drive. To perform the response analysis, the excitation source of the transmission error was modeled and the outer ring of the first stage bearing and the outer ring of the output shaft bearing were used as measurement positions. The response results were analyzed based on the vibration tolerance values of AGMA 6000-B96. As a result of the response of the first stage bearing outer ring, the maximum displacement of the first stage planetary gear system was 5.59 and the maximum displacement of the second to fourth stage planetary gear systems was 4.21 ㎛ , 3.13 ㎛ , and 25.6 ㎛ . In the case of the output shaft bearing outer ring, the maximum displacement of the first stage planetary gear system was 1.73 ㎛, and the maximum displacement of the second to fourth stage planetary gear system was 1.94 ㎛, 0.73 ㎛, and 2.03 ㎛. According to AGMA 6000-B96, the vibration tolerance of first stage is 17.5 ㎛, and the vibration tolerance of the second to fourth stages is 58 ㎛, 80 ㎛, and 375 ㎛, which shows that the vibration tolerance is satisfied and it is safe.

In this paper, an analysis method that considers the initial static displacement of structural members using an equivalent single-degree-of-freedom system is presented. Newmark's dynamic analysis algorithm was improved to consider the effect of the initial static displacements of structural members. The effect of the initial static displacement on the maximum response according to the assumed duration of the blast load and natural period of the member was investigated. The effects of positive and negative static displacements on the maximum dynamic responses of structural members subjected to a positively applied blast load were also studied. Modified response charts for the shock-type and pressure-type waves are presented so that static displacements can easily be considered. Using a design example, we demonstrate the significance of the modified response chart that considers the static displacement. Based on the results of this study, the maximum response of a the structural member can be easily obtained whilst considering its initial static displacement. The modified response chart presented in this study can be used for the structural design of plants and military facilities.
The purposes of the study were (1) to see if there are various types of disc configuration in normal temporomandibular joint and, if so, (2) to examine whether a specific type of disc configuration is susceptible to disc displacement, and (3) to see if a specific type of disc configuration and position is related to early relief of clinical symptoms from the anterior disc displacement without reduction to conservative treatment. From the magnetic resonance (MR) images taken for the patients with symptoms of temporomandibular disorders, 235 images as normal joint group, 255 images as anterior disc displacement with reduction group, and 249 images as anterior disc displacement without reduction group were selected, After the TMJ image was scanned and processed with Photoshop program, the disc configuration was determined, The incidence of various types of disc configuration was analyzed according to age, sex, diagnostic group, and the promptness of symptom relief. The disc position was also examined in relation to the promptness of symptom relief. The results were as follows : 1. In the normal joint group, biconcave type appeared most frequently and reversed, biplanar type in order, Posterior band enlarged and folded type didn't appear at all. On the other hand, in the anterior disc displacement without reduction group, folded type appeared most frequently and also posterior band enlarged type were found often. 2. There were statistically significant differences between sex and configuration of disc in the normal joint group and no statistically significant differences in the anterior disc displacement with reduction group and anterior disc displacement without reduction group, 3. There were no statistically significant differences between age and configuration of disc in the normal, anterior disc displacement with reduction group and anterior disc displacement without reduction group. 4. In anterior disc displacement without reduction group, rapid response was observed in biconcave and reversed type and delayed response was observed in folded type.

The inelastic displacement ratio is defined as the ratio of the peak inelastic displacement to the peak linear elastic displacement. The inelastic displacement ratio allows simple evaluation of the peak inelastic displacement directly from the peak elastic displacement without computation of the inelastic response. Existing research of the inelastic displacement ratio is limited to piece-wise linear systems such as bilinear or stiffness degrading systems. In this paper, the inelastic displacement ratio is investigated for smooth hysteretic behavior systems subjected to near- and far-fault earthquakes. A simple formula of the inelastic displacement ratio is proposed by using a two step procedure of regression analysis.
In order to identify damage of highway bridges rapidly, a method for damage identification using dynamic response of bridge induced by moving vehicle and static test data is proposed. To locate damage of the structure, displacement energy damage index defined from the energy of the displacement response time history is adopted as the indicator. The displacement response time histories of bridge structure are obtained from simulation of vehicle-bridge coupled vibration analysis. The vehicle model is considered as a four-degree-of-freedom system, and the vibration equations of the vehicle model are deduced based on the D'Alembert principle. Finite element method is used to discretize bridge and finite element model is set up. According to the condition of displacement and force compatibility between vehicle and bridge, the vibration equations of the vehicle and bridge models are coupled. A Newmark-${\beta}$ algorithm based professional procedure VBAP is developed in MATLAB, and used to analyze the vehicle-bridge system coupled vibration. After damage is located by employing the displacement energy damage index, the damage extent is estimated through the least-square-method based model updating using static test data. At last, taking one simply supported bridge as an illustrative example, some damage scenarios are identified using the proposed damage identification methodology. The results indicate that the proposed method is efficient for damage localization and damage extent estimation.
The dynamic bending response of single walled carbon nanotube reinforced composite (SWCNTRC) plates subjected to hygro-thermo-mechanical loading are investigated in this paper. The mechanical load is considered as wind pressure for dynamic bending responses of SWCNTRC plate. The dynamic version of the High Order shear deformation Theory (HSDT) for a composite plate with Matrix and SWCNTRC plate is first formulated. Distribution of fibers through the thickness of the SWCNTRC plate could be uniform or functionally graded (FG). The dynamic displacement response is predicted by using Nemarck integration method. The effective material properties of SWCNTRC are estimated by using micromechanics based modeling approach. The effect of different environmental condition, volume fraction of SWCNT, Width-to-thickness ratio, wind pressure, different SWCNTRC-FG plates, boundary condition, E1/E2 ratio, different temperature on dynamic displacement response is investigated. The dynamic displacement response is compared with the available literature and it shows good agreement.
Seismic response of the concrete column covered by nanofiber reinforced polymer (NFRP) layer is investigated. The concrete column is studied in this paper. The column is modeled using sinusoidal shear deformation beam theory (SSDT). Mori-Tanaka model is used for obtaining the effective material properties of the NFRP layer considering agglomeration effects. Using the nonlinear strain-displacement relations, stress-strain relations and Hamilton's principle, the motion equations are derived. Harmonic differential quadrature method (HDQM) along with Newmark method is utilized to obtain the dynamic response of the structure. The effects of different parameters such as NFRP layer, geometrical parameters of column, volume fraction and agglomeration of nanofibers and boundary conditions on the dynamic response of the structure are shown. The results indicated that applied NFRP layer decreases the maximum dynamic displacement of the structure. In addition, using nanofibersas reinforcement leads a reduction in the maximum dynamic displacement of the structure.
In this paper, the seismic performance evaluation was performed on 100 existing open-cut power cable tunnels, including ones that did not consider seismic design, in order to verify that the government's demand level (seismic special grade, 0.22 g). The results of the seismic performance evaluation show that most of the tunnels have seismic performance of 0.3 to 1 g, satisfying the level of the seismic special grade and securing the seismic safety. Meanwhile, the earthquake response analysis and structural test were performed to verify the validity of the method and the results of the seismic performance evaluation of the tunnels by the response displacement method, and to verify their seismic safety. As a result, the relative displacement due to the response displacement method under the 0.22 g earthquake was conservative than the results of the earthquake response analysis, and the results of load-displacement curves and response modification coefficient calculation by real scale structural tests showed the safety of the tunnels.

For seismic design of a vertical shaft, three-dimensional Finite Element (FE) analyses were performed to evaluate the accurate response of a vertical shaft and to apply a Response Displacement Method (RDM). Special attention is given to the evaluation of seismic base and response displacement of surrounding soil, estimation of load and loading method. Based on the result, it was found that shear wave velocity of seismic base greater than 1500m/s was appropriate for the seismic design. It was also found that double cosine method which evaluates a response displacement of surrounding soil was most appropriate to consider the characteristic of multi-layered soil. Finally, shape effect of the structure was considered to clarify the dynamic behavior of vertical shaft and it would be more economical vertical shaft design when a vertical shaft was analyzed by using RDM.

Two approximate methods based on mechanism analysis suitable for seismic assessment/design of structural concrete are reviewed. The methods involve use of equal energy concept or equal displacement concept along with appropriate patterns of inelastic deformations to relate structure's maximum lateral displacement to member and plastic deformations. One of these methods (Clough's method), defined here as a ductility-based approach, is examined in detail and a modification for its improvement is suggested. The modification is based on estimation of maximum inelastic displacement using inelastic design response spectra (IDRS) as an alternative to using equal energy concept. The IDRS for demand displacement ductilities are developed for a single degree of freedom model subjected to several accelerograms as functions of response modification factor (R), damping ratios, and strain hardening. The suggested revised methodology involves estimation of R as the ratio of elastic strength demand to code level demand, and determination of design base shear using $R_{design}{\leq}R$ and maximum displacement, determination of plastic displacement using IDRS and subsequent local plastic deformations. The methodology is demonstrated for the case of a 10-story precast wall panel building.
