The Effect of PBL Model on Ethics Awareness in Internet Ethics Learning (인터넷 윤리 수업에서 PBL 모델이 윤리의식에 미치는 영향)

  • This thesis focuses on developing an appropriate model for teaching internet ethics based on problem-based learning, and studying its effect on morality. The PBL model is focused on encouraging participation from students through discussion and essay-writing. To test the validity of the new model, the control group was constructed and was assigned an existing lecture-based model. The research applied the new method at class and compared changes in Internet ethics between two groups. The results showed that the PBL model was more effective in enhancing internet ethics among students than the lecture-based model, and they were statistically valid. Especially, the "responsibility" part within the internet ethics showed the biggest improvement.

  • The ingenuity of structural engineers in the field of tall and super-tall buildings has led to some of the most remarkable inventions. During this evolution of structural engineering concepts in the last 100 years, the technical challenges that engineers encountered were extraordinary and the advances were unprecedented. However, as the accomplishments of structural engineers are progressing, the desire for taller and safer structures is also increasing. The diagrid structural system is part of this evolving process as it develops a new paradigm for tall building design combining engineering efficiency and new architectural expression. The first appearances of this type of tall buildings have already been constructed and the interest of both engineering and architectural communities is growing mainly due to the many advantages compared to other structural systems. This paper presents a simple approach on optimizing member sizes for the diagonals of steel diagrid tall buildings. The optimizing method is based on minimizing the volume of the diagonal elements of a diagrid structure. The constraints are coming from the stiffness-based design, limiting the tip deflection of the building to widely accepted regulative limits. In addition, the current paper attempts to open the discussion on the important topic of optimization and robustness for tall buildings and also studies the future of the diagrid structural system.

  • Test and Evaluation (T&E) have been verifying the level of it's technological skill and the needed operational status of the development weapons. If the overall spectrum of test and evaluation is fulfilled substantially in the production & deployment, the needed level of the weapon system will be enhanced and also the reliability status will become higher considerably. We can know currently these issues through the mass media and all kinds of the news regarding the defense industry and programs. And so this article have studied the method of enhancing reliability of the test and evaluation, the 6 variables were selected through the discussion of the professional group. The the test and evaluation group needs consistently the professional training systems. After DT&E, we have to the event to verify the technical level of the development systems. We have to take the high level of the kinds of the environmental test. Scientific methods like system engineering will be adapted in process of the test and evaluation. The number of suitable test prototype in the test and evaluation is analysed more systematically. And we need to establish the standardization of the test and evaluation. If 6 variables are well analysed and adapted in the working field, the reliability of the test and evaluation will be considerably, the defense industry will take the chance to develope the future-oriented.

  • In a service environment, the spatial layout is an important factor that has a great impact on customers' behavioral characteristics including wayfinding and purchasing. Previous studies have shown a gap between marketing, focusing solely on profitability and satisfaction, and architecture, looking only into efficiency of pedestrian flow. To balance such disparity, this study suggests an integrated approach for assessing behavioral patterns in complex service environments. With the objective that complex service environments should aim to increase its profitability and efficiency while guaranteeing customer satisfaction, quantitative metrics was developed for evaluation. The metrics was defined to use data from behavior observation including path tracking, population counting, and gaze analysis, while previous studies have relied on abstract survey methods that were prone to sampling errors and loss of data. For validation of the metrics in a real world setting, a case study was conducted at 4 train stations in Korea. In the case study, experiments were conducted to gather the required data in all 4 train stations, while their physical layouts were also analyzed. With the results from the case study, comparative evaluation of the 4 train stations in terms of behavioral efficiency was possible, together with a discussion on the effect of their physical settings.

  • A thermodynamic cycle analysis is performed for refrigerator-precooled Linde-Hampson hydrogen liquefiers, including catalysts for the ortho-to-para(o-p) conversion. three different configurations of the liquefying system, depending upon the method of the o-p conversion, are selected for the analysis. After some simple and justifiable models are introduced, a general analysis program to predict the liquid yield and the figure of merit(FOM) is developed with incorporating the commercial computer code for the hydrogen properties. The discussion is focused on the effect of the two primary design parameters-the precooling temperature and the high pressrure of hydrogen. When the precooling temperature is in the range between 45 and 60 K, the optimal high pressure for the maximal liquid yield is found to be in the range between 100 to 140 bar, regardless of the o-p conversion. However, the FOM can be maximized at slightly smaller values of high pressures. It is remarkable to observe that the lower precooling temperatures are favorable since both the liquid yield and the FOM can be obtained without compressing hygrogen to extremely high pressures.

A Preliminary Study for Deriving Subjects of MOT Method Based on the Utilization Status in Korea Enterprises (기업활용수준을 반영한 기술경영 연구방법론 교과도출을 위한 사전연구)

  • This study focus on what methods of MOT are needed and utilized to solve a technical problem in the MOT leading company. We first classified the MOT methods by project life cycle and R&D job quality based on the several discussion with working group. In order to study, the survey was carried out by 168 experts working on MOT practices. Our main research findings are as follows. The level of utilized MOT methods was above average because MOT sector was beginning to represent an increasing share of total R&D business. But the satisfaction level on the MOT majors was below average. The more utilized MOT methods in practices were 'environment analysis and opportunity research,' 'business feasibility,' 'roadmapping,' 'portfolio,' 'technology tree,' 'scheduling,' 'risk management,' 'six sigma,' 'design of experiment,' 'quality control,' 'cost analysis' etc. And the subjects of product realization process were also needed to MOT practice such as 'design for reliability,' 'design for cost,' 'design for performance,' 'design for safety' deeply involved to product quality. Finally, the capability requested to University students were 'problem define and solving,' 'technology planning and strategy,' 'creative thinking.'

A Practical Application on the External Treatment of Acne (A Focus on the Medical Herbs Published in the Woman's Monthly Magazines) (여드름 외용약의 실제적 응용에 관한 고찰(여성 월간지에 여드름 미용도포제로 소개된 본초를 중심으로))

  • Objectives: The objective of this study was to teach patients clinically useful external application of acne. Methods: We investigated the effects and manufacturing methods of the medical herbs published in the woman's monthly magazines according to "Zhong-Yao-Da-Ci-Dian(中藥大辭典)". Results: We investigated that Saururus chinensis Baill.(三白草), Houttuynia cordata Thunb.(魚腥草), Coix lachrymajobi L.(薏苡仁) were discovered 3 times, Brassica oleracea L.(甘藍), Raphanus sativus L.(래복), Daucus carota L. var. Sativa DC.(홍래복), Oryza sativa L.(米皮糠), Spinacia oleracea L.(파래), Cucumis sativus L.(黃爪) 2 times, and Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch.(甘草), Gallus gallus domesticus Braisson.(?子白), Aloe vera L.(노회), Phascolus radiatus L.(綠豆), Prunus persica Batsch.(桃葉), Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.(番茄), Taraxacum mongolicum Hand.-Mazz.(蒲公英), Prunus armeniaca L.(杏仁), Musa paradisiaca L. var. Sapientum O. ktze.(香蕉) and Malus pumila Mill.(평과) were discovered once in woman's monthly magazine during last two years. According to the effects, we classificated four groups which were defervescence(淸熱), subsidence of edema(消腫), pyorrhea(排膿) and gloss(滋潤) group.   • Due to the remarkable development of the GIS and spatial information technology, the information on the national land and scientific management are disseminated. According to the result of research for an efficient analysis of forest site, it presents distinguishing of satellite image and methodology of TPI (Topographic Position Index). The prediction of forest site distribution through this research, specified Gyeongju-si area, gives an effect to distinguishing honor system through Quickbird image with the resolution 0.6m. Furthermore it was carried out through TPI grid that is abstracted by DEM, slope of study area and type of topography, as well as it put its operation on analysis and verification of relativity between the result of prediction on forest site distribution and the field survey report. It distinguishes distribution of country rock that importantly effects to producing of soil, using 1: 5000 forest maps and grasping distribution type of soil using satellite image and TPI, it is supposed to provide a foundation of the result on prediction of forest site. With the GIS techniques of analysis, inclination of discussion, altitude, etc, and using high resolution satellite image and TPI, it is considered to be capable to provide more exact basis information of forest resources, management of forest management both in rational and efficient.

  • All architecture in the history were based on a certain concept of architectural unit that functioned as a base model of architectural design. As we know, such model was not the same in the East and the West, and therefore, their architectures are not the same. This paper aims to identify how and why such base model of the two cultural area are different. As one way of discussing this issue, the concept of particle and field, as two representative idea of the West and East respectively, the employed. This kind of discussion can not follow the way of scientific verification as method of argument. However, the understanding of such concept of unit model is crucial for the understanding of the architecture of the culture in general. In basic sense, the tradition of Western architecture is rooted in the model of particle, where, architecture is conceived to be as a independent unit standing on earth as if it is a box like object. While, the tradition of Eastern architecture is rooted in the model field, where, architecture is conceived to be a part of field organization. In present days, we are used to the model of particle as if it is the only possible model of architecture. But, in fact, what man need to achieve in their architecture and city, is the balance between the two models.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of Student-centered Narrative Learning Program on Information ethics. Though, nowadays, the negative aspects of use of Computer and Internet have been rising as a big issue and there are remarkable concern about it, especially in school. There are still many difficulties to teach it to student due to the lack of adequate curriculum, contents and teaching method. In this study, we developed the Narrative learning program based on learners' experiences. The program involves course of discussion and exploration to seek for solution. The result of the study is that students could make a plan for practice and their Information ethic attitude was improved.
