  • In this paper, we present a comprehensive analytical study of the symbol error rate (SER) of single-carrier frequency-division multiple access (SC-FDMA) with zero-forcing frequency domain equalization (ZF-FDE) over a Rayleigh fading channel. SC-FDMA is considered as a potential waveform candidate for fifth-generation (5G) radio access networks (RANs). First, the $N_C$ fold convolution of the noise distribution of an orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) system is computed for each value of the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) in order to determine the noise distribution of the SC-FDMA system. $N_C$ is the number of subcarriers assigned to a user or the size of the discrete Fourier transform (DFT) precoding. Here, we present a simple alternative method of calculating the SER by simplifying the $N_C$ fold convolution using time and amplitude scaling properties. The effects of the $N_C$ fold convolution and SNR over the computation of the SER of the SC-FDMA system has been separated out. As a result, the proposed approach only requires the computation of the $N_C$ fold convolution once, and it is used for different values of SNR to calculate the SER of SC-FDMA systems.

  • Automatic image completion techniques have difficulty processing images in which the target region has multiple planes or is non-facade. Here, we propose a new image completion method that uses belief propagation based on planar priorities. We first calculate planar information, which includes planar projection parameters, plane segments, and repetitive regularity extractions within the plane. Next, we convert this planar information into planar guide knowledge using the prior probabilities of patch transforms and offsets. Using the energy of the discrete Markov Random Field (MRF), we then define an objective function for image completion that uses the planar guide knowledge. Finally, in order to effectively optimize the MRF, we propose a new optimization scheme, termed Planar Priority-belief propagation that includes message-scheduling-based planar priority and dynamic label cropping. The results of experiment show that our approach exhibits advanced performance compared with existing approaches.

  • Numerical investigation on radiation characteristics of discrete frequency noise from asymmetry aero-intakes was carried out. The near-field predictions were obtained by solving the linearized Euler equations with computational aeroacoustic techniques consisting of high order finite difference scheme, non-reflecting boundary conditions, oversetgrid techniques. For the prediction of far-field directivity pattern, the Kirchhoff integral method was applied. By comparing the directivities of noise radiating from the scarf and the scoop aero-intakes with that from an axisymmetric aero-intake, it is shown that noise reduction at downward peak radiation angle can be achieved. The scattering of the radiating acoustic wave by background mean flow shifts the peak lobe radiation angle toward ground and increases the amplitude of the acoustic pressure compared with the cases without mean flow effect.

  • This work mainly discusses an accurate and fast islanding detection based on fractional wavelet packet transform (FRWPT)for multibus microgrid systems. The proposed protection scheme uses combined desirable features retrieved from discrete fractional Fourier transform (FRFT) and wavelet packet transform (WPT) techniques, which provides precise time-frequency information on minute perturbation signals introduced in the system. Moreover, this study focuses on the design of decoupling control with a distributed controller based on state feedback for the efficient operation of microgrid systems that are transitioning from the grid-connected mode to the islanded mode. An IEEE 9-bus test system with inverter based distributed generation (DG) units is considered for islanding assessment and smooth operation. Finally, tracking errors are greatly reduced with stability improvement based on the proposed controller. FRWPT based islanding detection is demonstrated via a time domain simulation of the system. Simulated results show an improvement in system stability with the application of the proposed controller and accurate islanding detection based on the FRWPT technique in comparison with the results obtained by applying the wavelet transform (WT) and WPT.

  • In this paper, we deal with an emotion recognition method using facial images and speech signal. Six basic human emotions including happiness, sadness, anger, surprise, fear and dislike are investigated. Emotion recognition using the facial expression is performed by using a multi-resolution analysis based on the discrete wavelet transform. And then, the feature vectors are extracted from the linear discriminant analysis method. On the other hand, the emotion recognition from speech signal method has a structure of performing the recognition algorithm independently for each wavelet subband and then the final recognition is obtained from a multi-decision making scheme.

  • A lattice BGK model based on a finite difference scheme with an internal degree of freedom is employed and it is shown that a diatomic 9as such as air is successfully simulated In a weak compressive wane problem and Coutte flow, the validity and characteristics of the applied model are examined. With the model. furthermore. we present a 2-dimensional edge tones to predict the frequency characteristics of discrete oscillations of a jet-edge feedback cycle by the FDLB model (I.D.F FDLBM) in which any specific heat ratio $\gamma$ can be chosen freely. The jet is chosen long enough in order to guaranteed the Parabolic velocity profile of a jet at the outlet. and the edges have of an angle of $\alpha$=$23^{0}$ and $20^{0}$. A sinuous instability wane with real frequency resulting from Periodic oscillation of the jet around the edge is propagated on the upper and lower of wedge.

  • In the recent decade, practical of wavelet technique is being utilized in various domain of science. Particularly, engineers are interested to the wavelet solution method in the time series analysis. Fundamentally, seismic responses of structures against time history loading such as an earthquake, illustrates optimum capability of systems. In this paper, a procedure using particularly discrete Haar wavelet basis functions is introduced, to solve dynamic equation of motion. In the proposed approach, a straightforward formulation in a fluent manner is derived from the approximation of the displacements. For this purpose, Haar operational matrix is derived and applied in the dynamic analysis. It's free-scaled matrix converts differential equation of motion to the algebraic equations. It is shown that accuracy of dynamic responses relies on, access of load in the first step, before piecewise analysis added to the technique of equation solver in the last step for large scale of wavelet. To demonstrate the effectiveness of this scheme, improved formulations are extended to the linear and nonlinear structural dynamic analysis. The validity and effectiveness of the developed method is verified with three examples. The results were compared with those from the numerical methods such as Duhamel integration, Runge-Kutta and Wilson-${\theta}$ method.

  • In this study, we propose a new multi-party electronic approval system. We classified and analyzed several existing electronic approval systems which use the multisignature method. Based on the analysis, we developed a new multisignature method and then applied it to several existing electronic approval systems. By comparing various aspects of the new and the conventional methods, we were able to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. The new method is based discrete logarithm so that it lowers the complexity requirement involved in electronic communication and rises the ability requirement, hence makes itself suitable to general electronic approval systems.

  • For designing the radar integrated data network, we construct the network structure with a spatial hierarchy decomposition scheme. The RIDN can be decomposed into several subnet classes, those of which are composed of the several group classes of radar sits, In a group class, the communication nodes of a radar site are modeled by the software modules formulated with the statistical attributes of discrete events. And we get the analysis over the network through the separately constructed infra group level models which were coded with the C language. After constructing the local area network with these infra models through the proper data links. We got the analysis of the communication performance of inner models and the global network.

  • In this paper, we propose a new discrete-time predictive current controller for a PMLSM(permanent magnet linear synchronous motor). The main objectives of the current controllers are that the measured stator current is tracked the command current value accurately and the transient interval is shorten as much as possible, in order to obtain high-performance of ac drive system. The conventional predictive current controller is hard to implement in full digital current controller since a finite calculation time causes a delay between the current sensing time and the time that take to apply the voltage to motor. A new control strategy is the scheme that gets the fast adaptation of transient current change, the fast transient response tracking. Moreover, the simulation results will be verified the improvements of predictive controller and accuracy of the current controller.
