방사힘 측정법을 이용한 초음파 진단장치용 배열 탐침자의 음향파워 측정시스템 (Acoustic Power Measurement System of Array Probes for Ultrasonic Diagnostic Equipment Using Radiation Force Balance Methods)

  • 초음파 진단장치의 음향출력 특성은 전기음향 변환 장치인 배열 탐침자의 성능에 크게 영향을 받으며, 생물학적안전 측면에서 매우 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 초음파 진단장치용 배열 탐침자로부터 방사되는 음향파워를 소자별로 측정할 수 있는 자동화 시스템을 구성하였으며, 곡선형 탐침자의 경우 각 소자의 지향성이 측정에 미치는 영향을 확인하고 이를 보정하는 기법을 개발하였다. 선형, 위상형, 곡선형 배열 탐침자를 대상으로 음향파워 측정결과, 본 논문에서 제시하는 측정기법은 배열 탐침자의 음향파워 특성을 평가하는데 적합함을 확인하였다.

멀티로터형 비행체의 후류 상호작용을 고려한 공력 및 공력소음 해석 연구 (Study for Aerodynamic and Aeroacoustic Characteristics of Multirotor Configurations Considering the Wake Interaction Effect)

  • 수직이착륙기(VTOL) 및 도심 항공 모빌리티와 같은 멀티로터형 비행체는 높은 기동성을 바탕으로 오늘날 널리 활용되고 있다. 멀티로터는 다수의 로터로 구성되어 후류 상호작용이 활발히 발생하고, 이로 인해 멀티로터의 공기역학 및 공력음향학적 특성이 단일 로터와 큰 차이를 보인다. 본 연구에서는 자유 후류 격자 기법 해석자를 활용하여 멀티로터의 후류 상호작용 효과를 규명하고자 하였다. 다양한 비행체와 운용조건의 비교를 위하여, 제자리 비행에서 로터 간격에 따른 효과와 전진 비행에서 전진비 및 전진 방향에 따른 효과를 확인하였다. 제자리 비행 시 후류 및 로터 사이의 상호작용으로 비정상 하중이 발생하였으며, 로터 사이 간격이 줄어들수록 하중 변화폭이 증가하였다. 이는 비정상 하중 소음을 발생시키고 소음 지향성에 변화를 가져온다. 전진 비행 시, 비행 방향에 따라서 비정상 하중 및 소음 특성에서 차이를 보인다. 단일 로터 해석 결과와 비교하였을 때, 멀티로터의 각각의 로터는 상대적 위치에 따라서 하중 소음의 크기와 지향성이 다르다. 결론적으로 후류 상호작용 효과에 대한 분석은 다양한 멀티로터 형상과 운용조건의 공력 및 공력소음 해석에 필수적이다.

유인 및 타협효과가 유통업체 브랜드(PB)의 선택확률에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Impact of Attraction and Compromise Effects on Choice Probability of Private Brands)

  • 유통업체에서 PB(Private Brand)의 선택확률을 높이기 위하여 기존 PB보다 열등한 다른 PB를 사용하는 전략은 비용적인 측면에서 어려운 문제가 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 이를 해결하고자 2개의 현실적인 실험방법을 통해 PB의 유인 및 타협효과를 검증하고자 한다. 검증결과를 살펴보면 제조업체 브랜드(NB; National Brand)와 PB에 새로운 브랜드인 무상표(GB :Generic Brand)를 추가한 경우 유인 및 타협 효과가 발생하여 PB의 선택확률이 높아짐을 발견하였다. 구체적으로 실험 1에서는 NB와 PB의 특성상 경쟁대안과 표적대안의 선호도와 선택확률의 차이가 많은 경우에도 유인브랜드 진입 시 표적대안인 PB의 선택확률 변화를 확인하였다. 실험2에서는 경쟁사 PB를 열등한 대안에 위치시킬 때도 유인효과가 발생하여 자사 PB의 선택확률이 증가한다는 것을 확인하였다. 이러한 연구결과에 대한 전략적 시사점과 연구의 한계 및 향후 방향을 제시하였다.

  • In order to improve the acoustic performance of a noise barrier without increasing its height, various type of acoustic devices are suggested but, there is no proper method to estimate the performance in Korea. For this, an outdoor test facility was established in Expressway and Transportation Technology Institute(ETTI) of Korea Expressway Corporation for testing the acoustical performance of noise reducing devices installed on the top of a noise barrier. Noise measurements before and after installation of the noise reducing devices were carried out by using sound pressure level for long distance range from the barrier, from 10m to 40m. For considering the directivity effects of noise reducing devices, multivariate regression analysis was attempted.

  • When we visualize the sound field radiated from a spherical sound source, spherical acoustic holography is proper among acoustic holography methods. However, there are measurement errors due to sensor position mismatch, sensor mismatch, directivity of sensor, and background noise. These errors are amplified if one predicts the pressures close to the sources: backward prediction. The goal of this paper is to quantitatively examine the effects of the error due to sensor position mismatch on acoustic pressure estimation. This paper deals with the cases of which the measurement deviations are distributed irregularly on the hologram plane. In such cases, one can assume that the measurement is a sample of many measurement events, and the cause of the measurement error is white noise on the hologram plane. Then the bias and random error are derived mathematically. In the results, it is found that the random error is important in the backward prediction. The relationship between the random error amplification ratio and the measurement parameters is derived quantitatively in terms of their energies.

KTX 의자 설계에 따른 객실 Speech Privacy 평가 (Evaluation of Speech Privacy on the Seat-design in High-speed Train Passenger Cars)

  • This study investigates the effects of seat-design elements such as seating arrangement, shape, and height on speech privacy in high-speed trains. For the evaluation of speech privacy, acoustic simulation software was used to reproduce room acoustical conditions in passenger cars on the basis of in-situ measurement data. The influences of speech source directivity and source height on privacy distance ($r_P$) were investigated, and it was found that $r_P$ determined using an omni-directional source was relatively shorter than that determined using a directional source. It was also found that $r_P$ decreased when the source height was lower than the height of the seat-back because the seat-back blocked the propagation of speech from the sound source. The effect of seating arrangement was not significant when comparing the vis-a-vis seating and one-side seating arrangements. In addition, among the alternative seat-designs, the seats that block the space between the seats and cover the space near the ear were found to show significantly enhanced speech privacy in high-speed train passenger cars.

Earthquake effects on the energy demand of tall reinforced concrete walls with buckling-restrained brace outriggers

  • Reinforced concrete core-wall structures with buckling-restrained brace outriggers are interesting systems which have the ability to absorb and dissipate energy during strong earthquakes. Outriggers can change the energy demand in a tall building. In this paper, the energy demand was studied by using the nonlinear time history analysis for the mentioned systems. First, the structures were designed according to the prescriptive codes. In the dynamic analysis, three approaches for the core-wall were investigated: single plastic hinge (SPH), three plastic hinge (TPH) and extended plastic hinge (EPH). For SPH approach, only one plastic hinge is allowed at the core-wall base. For TPH approach, three plastic hinges are allowed, one at the base and two others at the upper levels. For EPH approach, the plasticity can extend anywhere in the wall. The kinetic, elastic strain, inelastic and damping energy demand subjected to forward directivity near-fault and ordinary far-fault earthquakes were studied. In SPH approach for all near-fault and far-fault events, on average, more than 65 percent of inelastic energy is absorbed by buckling-restrained braces in outrigger. While in TPH and EPH approaches, outrigger contribution to inelastic energy demand is reduced. The contribution of outrigger to inelastic energy absorption for the TPH and EPH approaches does not differ significantly. The values are approximately 25 and 30 percent, respectively.

Probabilistic seismic assessment of mega buckling-restrained braced frames under near-fault ground motions

  • Buckling-restrained braces are passive control devices with high level of energy dissipation ability. However, they suffer from low post-yield stiffness which makes them vulnerable to severe ground motions, especially near-field earthquakes. Among the several methods proposed to improve resistance of BRB frames, mega-brace configuration can be a solution to increase frame lateral strength and stiffness and improve distribution of forces to prevent large displacement in braces. Due to the limited number of research regarding the performance of such systems, the current paper aims to assess seismic performance of BRB frames with mega-bracing arrangement under near-field earthquakes via a detailed probabilistic framework. For this purpose, a group of multi-story mega-BRB frames were modelled by OpenSEES software platform. In the first part of the paper, simplified procedures including nonlinear pushover and Incremental Dynamic Analysis were conducted for performance evaluation. Two groups of near-fault seismic ground motions (Non-pulse and Pulse-like records) were considered for analyses to take into account the effects of record-to-record uncertainties, as well as forward directivity on the results. In the second part, seismic reliability analyses are conducted in the context of performance based earthquake engineering. Two widely-known EDP-based and IM-based probabilistic frameworks are employed to estimate collapse potential of the structures. Results show that all the structures can successfully tolerate near-field earthquakes with a high level of confidence level. Therefore, mega-bracing configuration can be an effective alternative to conventional BRB bracing to withstand near-field earthquakes.

국부적으로 기울어진 지면을 고려한 제자리비행 로터의 비정상 하중 소음 측정 (Measurement of Unsteady Loading Noise from Hovering Rotor with Partially Inclined Ground)

  • Experiments are performed to consider the ground effects on unsteady loading and acoustic generation. Partially inclined plate is used to maximize the unsteadiness of the rotor. Indirect method to recognize the unsteady effect is used by measuring the noise in the normal direction from the rotor plane. The experiment is conducted with a square plate of about $9m^2$ and one half of the plate is placed parallel with the rotor plane and the other half is inclined. The height of the plate and the angle of the inclined plate can be changed. Helicopter noise is also measured at the 4 different positions to study the directivity of the rotor noise. The distance between microphone and rotor hub is 1.3m. Tonal noise and broad band noise are measured and analyzed. Thickness noise, steady loading noise and unsteady loading noise are investigated from the rotor noise measurement.

패브리 패롯 공진기형 안테나에서 뮤츄얼 커플링에 의한 스캔특성 분석 (Scan Performance Analysis by Mutual Coupling Effects in Fabry-Perot Cavity Antennas)

  • 패브리 패롯형 공진기 안테나의 스캔특성에 대하여 공진기내에 위치하는 $4{\times}1$ thinned 배열 급전에 대하여 분석하였다. FPC 배열 안테나는 높은 이득과 낮은 부엽 레벨을 갖는다. 그러나 스캔각도는 유사 구조의 패치 배열 안테나보다 약 14-17% 작은 값을 나타낸다. 이는 FPC 구조에서 존재하는 상호 커플링 특성 때문이다. 개방형 배열과는 달리 FPC 배열 구조는 1.0 파장 간격이상의 요소간의 거리에서도 그레이팅 로브가 생성되지 않는 장점을 나타내었다.
