Autonomous Navigation of Nonholonomic Mobile Robots Using Generalized Voronoi Diagrams (일반화된 보로노이 다이어그램을 이용한 논홀로노믹 모바일 로봇의 자율 주행)

  • This paper proposes an autonomous navigation method for a nonholonomic mobile robot, based on the generalized Voronoi diagram (GVD). We define the look-ahead point for a given motion constraint to determine the direction of motion, which solves the problem of a minimum turning radius for the real nonholonomic mobile robot. This method can be used to direct the robot to explore an unknown environment and construct smooth feedback curves for the nonholonomic robot. As the trajectories can be smoothed, the position of the robot can be stabilized in the plane. The simulation results are presented to verify the performance of the proposed methods for the nonholonomic mobile robot. Furthermore, this approach is worth drawing on the experience of any other mobile robots.

  • A fuzzy logic controller(FLC) was developed for the autonomous travel of speedsprayer in an orchard. The autonomous travel with the FLC was graphically simulated under the conditions of an ordinary standard orchard. Differential global positioning system(DGPS) was used to find the direction of running and four ultrasonic sensors were used to detect obstacles during the running. The simulation results showed that the speedsprayer, by the FLC combined with DGPS and the ultrasonic sensors. could overcome the turning problem at comers which could not be solved with such a system as machine vision and might be operated autonomously.

  • Position decision system embody to interpret for observation target position. Observation target is observed at observation post of 3 places. CCD cameras of observation post is achieved turning control by stepping motor. Controller interpret observation target's position to use direction and angle information of observation post. Controller and observation post used PIC16F877. PIC16F877 achieves rotation control of stepping motor and distance arithmetic of observation target. Result that measure this system 50 times was achieved correct position interpretation of 47 times. Position interpretation failure of 3 times was construed for cause in used controller special quality.

  • The hovercraft is the amphibious hovercraft. Design and manufacturing companies of the aero propeller exist rarely in the world. Hence the propeller has beef designed and manufactured by manufacturing companies which make aero propeller mainly. In this paper, the hovercraft propeller of similar, which is building and designing by HHIC, is considered the type of aero propeller, rotational speed, diameter, number of blades, Open air propeller efficiency. As the result of check, hovercraft which is necessary huge static thrust is needed the ducted propeller in order to improve climbing capacity. However, the number of blades and turning direction almost do not affect.

  • To construct the third generation model, nonlinear interaction was included in source terms. To calculate the nonlinear interaction, discrete interaction approximation to Boltzmann integral was used, as in WAM model. The general behavior and characteristics of nonlinear interaction were analyzed through the experiments for the durational growth and turning winds.

  • This study applies dynamic deformation analysis to the rake face stress distribution of cemented carbide cut-off tools by turning, using a finite element method. The results are following: 1. The dynamic loaded state of a cut-off tool was very changeable for the first 0.6 seconds. Reaching the normal state, it became in active. 2. Chipping was influnced not only by the magnitude of stress but also by the abrupt change of tensile and compressive stresses. 3. The distribution chat of principal stress by dynamic load and the direction of resultant vector were almost constant regardless of load time.

  • In this study the fluid-solid coupling(sloshing) behavior of the tanker-lorry during turning are investigated numerically. The ALE numerical method is used as sloshing analysis algorithm and numerical simulation is conducted for the various fluid filling height 25%, 50% and 75%. The forces for radial and vertical direction are calculated and compared for various fluid-filling heights. From the analysis results, in case of 25% filling, the sloshing effect is the most highest.

Content Analysis of Previous Research to Examine Categorization and Methodology of Korean Food History Studies (선행연구 내용 분석을 통한 한국 음식사(飮食史) 연구의 범주 및 방법론 고찰)

  • This study summarizes the research methods, subjects, research processes, and achievements of major researchers by analyzing previous research results on Korean food history. The goal of the current study aimed to seek the methodology and direction of 'food history research'. Literature data from 1945 to 2022 were examined. Results of excavation research on ancient food literature were divided into the following stages: the 1980s, when the foundation for 'cataloging' was laid, and the 2000s, when 'digitization' was achieved. Achievements of each period were collected, and the achievements and limitations were analyzed. Next, the research results were classified into 'Food technology history', 'Recipe change history', and 'Food culture and dietary history'. We observed that around the 2000s, anthropology and folklore research perspectives were reflected, and the research on 'history of diet' reached a turning point. Our results indicate the possibility that food history can develop as a special historical area. This could be achieved by establishing an exchange system with other disciplines and creating a systematic curriculum.

  • Recent advances in augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies have led to a significant increase in metaverse platforms. Metaverses are setting a new direction for the digital world. This paper examines the phenomenon of virtual worlds that are becoming an issue these days, focusing on [Ready Player One]. One of the common features of the metaverse platform in [Ready Player One] and the platforms currently in use is the concept of open world. This is a feature that goes beyond simply moving around in a virtual world and allows users to freely reset, participate in, and control the environment. This innovative concept is a hallmark of metaverse platforms, and it is becoming increasingly important and influential. Through this study, we focused on the [open world system] of the platform in the movie and the modern metaverse platform, and suggested and studied how the scalability of the metaverse will present a turning point in the future.

  • A solution strategy for geometric non-linear analysis for the plane frame structures subjected to conservative and non-conservative forces is presented. By making efficient combination of the load incremental method and the displacement incremental method, this strategy can find postbuckling configuration such as snap-through and turning-back phenomena which cannot be easily found by the conventional load and displacement incrementation scheme. In the case of the analysis of the framed structure subjected to circulatory non-conservative forces, the total tangent stiffness matrix becomes unsymmetric and when calculating the incremental load and unbalanced load vector components, the direction change of the non-conservative forces is considered. Several example problems to demonstrate the feasibility of the present strategy, over ranges of deformation that are well beyond those likly to occur in practical framed structures, are given and discussed.
