  • Digital Manufacturing is a technology to facilitate effective product developments and agile productions by digital environments representing the physical and logical schema and the behavior of real manufacturing system including manufacturing resources, processes and products. A digital factory as a well-designed and integrated environment is essential for successful applications of this technology. In this research, we constructed a sophisticated digital factory of an automotive company’ general assembly shop by measuring and 3-D CAD modeling using parametric methods. Specific parameters of each objects were decided by object-oriented schema of the general assembly shop. It is expected that this method is very useful for constructions of a digital factory, and helps to manage diverse information and re-use 3D models.

  • Many people create records in digital space, and the amount of digital records left after individual dies has increased. The digital record left by the deceased is different from the record heritage that has physical substances. In many cases, the records of the deceased not just belong to the deceased, and many deceased did not explicitly disclose their online accounts and method of dispose of digital records during their lifetime, so this problem may lead to problems of inheritance to the bereaved family. In addition, digital records may be neglected or deleted after a person's death due to software problems, specific platform's terms of use, account deletion by bereaved family, etc. This leads to the problem that daily records, which are important clues to the social aspects at the time, are easily lost. Several studies have revealed that individuals are interested in preserving their digital records, but do not know how to do it, so they are benign neglect. For this reason, it is necessary to pay attention to personal digital records and personal digital legacy, and to prepare related policies and plans. Accordingly, this study analyzes problems related to the management of digital records after an individual's death, related to laws and systems, the status and policies of platforms and industries, the status of personal record management, etc. Various solutions were suggested, such as a need for enactment for digital personal record management act, platform's explicit policy for individual's post-mortem records, digital records management plan for archival institutions, individual's a preemptive management plan for his/her own records, and a method for writing a will related to digital account information.

A Study on Effective Knowledge Contents Management under the Digital Library System (디지털 도서관의 효율적인 지식컨텐츠관리에 관한 연구)

  • Effective resource management in the digital library should be implemented for the whole accessible sources on the network including multimedia one such as image files other than texts which focus on books. Contents management can be resource management of digital library in terms of wide scope, moreover, it\`s main function is to provide effectively tailor-made knowledge contents for users\` diversified objective of information usage. In this study, I examined main factors for more effective and advanced knowledge management including web resources under the current digital environment. First of all, I described closely several types of conceptualization and trails regarding more effective contents management and came up with advanced user-centered contents management system, i.e., user factors, intermediary factors, and finally service ones.

The Generation of Digital Orthophotos and Three Dimensional Models of an Urban Area from Digital Aerial Photos

  • The digital photogrammetric products have been increasingly used as an accurate foundation for representing information associated with infrastructure management. The technological advances in merging raster and vector data within the framework of GIS have allowed for the inclusion of DTMs and digital orthophotos with vector data and its associated attributes. This study addresses not only generating DEMs and digital orthophotos but producing three dimensional building models from aerial photos of an urban area by employing the digital photogrammetric technology. DEMs and digital orthophotos were automatically generated through the process of orientations, image matching and so on, and then the practical problems, which must be solved especially in applying to urban areas, were considered. The accuracy of produced digital orthophotos was derived by using check points. Also three dimensional visualization imagery, which is useful in the landform analysis, and 3D building models were produced. Digital photogrammetric products would be used widely not only as GIS framework data layers by using the GIS link function which links attribute and image information in the database for applying to infrastructure management and but as geospatial data for especially 3D GIS in urban areas.

  • To achieve rapid developments and ensure competitiveness, cost saving, digital manufacturing is essential in die shops. Digital Manufacturing is a technology to facilitate effective product developments and agile productions by digital environments representing the physical and logical schema and the behavior of real manufacturing system including manufacturing resources, processes and products. For applying digital manufacturing to die shop, engineering information managements of products, manufacturing process and resources are needed. In this paper proposes and implements, PLM approach for achieving engineering collaborations in engineering activities. We suggest detail procedures, some examples and considerations of PPR managements in die shop.

  • It is argued that the strategy practice in the 21st digital organization is limited and constrained in that it is being laregy driven by a traditional positivistic strategic management thinking. This article, drawing upon the models and concepts developed in the field of general ecology, proposes a resilient ecological view of strategy, as an alternative strategy frame of reference for overcoming some of the pitfalls and shortcomings of the current digital strategy practice in the organization. The implications of this new ecological perspective on strategy practice are discussed in detail. The article concludes with discussions and directions for implanting the perspective in the organization.

  • The main purpose of the article is to analyze the features of the impact of digital technologies on environmental management in the public administration system of the regions. The revival of the economy and its digitalization, which emerged after the first wave of the economic crisis, is already fraught with an aggravation of the ecological situation in the region. Of course, the conventional model of economic growth has by now exhausted its capabilities and can be characterized as environmentally unsustainable. Digital technologies bring changes that cannot be ignored. Based on the results of the study, key aspects of the impact of digital technologies on environmental management in the public administration system of the regions were identified.

  • With the rapid and broad changes of information media and information environment the traditional libraries have been evolving into the digital libraries. An analysis for the Planning and realization of the electronic resource management system was carried out to establish the various electronic resources in the digital library, the first in Korea. The study targeted from electronic journals, web-based databases, e-books, and to open access resources. The focus of the analysis lies in the Providing practical integrated electronic resource management for digital librarian based on the framework of effective Electronic Resource Management Initiative(ERMI) of Digital Library Federation(DLF) with network and electronic resource description. The analyses included life-cycle, subscription models, coverages. types of information provider for electronic resources. and system organization for implementation of electronic resource management system.

  • In order to adapt the digital rights management community for the standardisation of expressing rights information in the libraries' content for the control of the rights of the digital works, it is necessary to establish rights information, that can build effective system of the distribution structure by the public ownership of the rights information and the interoperability of system. This research developed rights information constructing system in order to protect and enforce their rights over digital assets and embodied utilizing use-process of rights information.

  • Monitoring unsafe activities on construction sites is challenging due to a variety of factors including the diversity of tasks and workers involved, the potential of human error and lack of real-time hazard detection. With technological advancements, several digital technologies have been proposed and applied to improve the monitoring process. Despite the potential of these technological advancements to reduce manual effort in traditional monitoring, the challenge lies in selecting and implementing the technology that best meets the specific needs of contractors. This paper aims to streamline the research of digital technologies in the construction domain by achieving three key objectives: (1) classify the types of unsafe activities that can be monitored automatically, (2) determine the specific data required for effective monitoring processes, and (3) identify the technologies that can facilitate such data collection process. We conduct a systematic literature review on cutting-edge technological studies to achieve the research aims. The findings of this research serve as a valuable resource for construction practitioners, offering insights into both the benefits and limitations of digital technologies in enhancing the monitoring process. Moreover, the study recommends preparatory elements that practitioners should undertake to integrate these technologies effectively into their monitoring frameworks. The study empowers practitioners by providing a deep understanding, enabling them to create a comprehensive safety management program aligned with the digital transformation process.
