Design and Implementation of a Digital Evidence Management Model Based on Hyperledger Fabric

  • When a crime occurs, the information necessary for solving the case, and various pieces of the evidence needed to prove the crime are collected from the crime scene. The tangible residues collected through scientific methods at the crime scene become evidence at trial and a clue to prove the facts directly against the offense of the suspect. Therefore, the scientific investigation and forensic handling for securing objective forensic in crime investigation is increasingly important. Today, digital systems, such as smartphones, CCTVs, black boxes, etc. are increasingly used as criminal information investigation clues, and digital forensic is becoming a decisive factor in investigation and trial. However, the systems have the risk that digital forensic may be damaged or manipulated by malicious insiders in the existing centralized management systems based on client/server structure. In this paper, we design and implement a blockchain based digital forensic management model using Hyperledger Fabric and Docker to guarantee the reliability and integrity of digital forensic. The proposed digital evidence management model allows only authorized participants in a distributed environment without a central management agency access the network to share and manage potential crime data. Therefore, it could be relatively safe from malicious internal attackers compared to the existing client/server model.

  • This study demonstrates some major traits of digital contents as information, playfulness, individuality, as satisfaction and commitment, user behavior as use intention. To make an empirical analysis the study, it is hypothesized that traits of digital contents, relationship quality, and user behavior. The major finding of this study can be summarized as follows, traits of digital contents are positively affected by satisfaction in relationship quality and use intention. Theoretical implication of this study are as follows. First, users wanted to choice only needed information. Second, users recognized digital contents as a part of life. So, user's ability is very important in this environment. According to this, business related with or interested in digital contents must have developed digital contents in variety aspect. Users must have concerned using digital contents, also.

  • 디지털 아카이빙 실행을 위한 위험관리의 필요성을 인식하고, 위험을 줄이기 위한 방안을 강구하고자 해외의 위험관리 사례를 조사한다. 사례로 선정된 기관은 OCLC와 코넬대학 도서관이다. 양 기관은 실질적인 실험을 바탕으로 위험관리를 수행해 타 기관에 좋은 모범이 되고 있다. 사례를 바탕으로 국내에서 위험관리의 실행을 위한 방안으로 위험관리 요소 규명, 파일 포맷과 마이그레이션 프로그램 등의 실험 테스트, 위험관리 수행 전담기구 설립을 제안한다.

Lifecycle and Requirements for Digital Collection Management of Thai Theses and Dissertations

  • This research was aimed at studying the situation, problems, and requirements for digital collection lifecycle management of Thai theses and dissertations. The mixed research method used was composed of: (1) Study of the problem and situation in which the qualitative method was applied. The research site covered 10 higher education institutions where the Thailand Digital Collection (TDC) project is operated. The informants were key administrative officers of the TDC project of each institution. In-depth and structured interviews were conducted on an individual basis to obtain the most accurate answers. (2) Study of requirements based on the quantitative research method to survey the requirements for the digital collection management system for Thai theses and dissertations from 84 purposively-selected TDC project officers and 527 end users selected by accidental sampling, totaling 611 samples. Research findings are as follow: (1) The study of the situation and problems of digital collection lifecycle management shows that Thai higher institutions systematically manage their digital collection. The management lifecycle is consistent with the Guidance documents for lifecycle management of ETDs, which included seven steps: program planning, creation, submission, and ingestion, access and retrieval of digital objects, archiving and preservation, evaluation and assessment, interoperation (creation of institutional collaboration), and development of link data. (2) The study of requirements for digital collection management of Thai theses and dissertations shows five system requirements: acquisition and gathering, digitization, metadata standards, management of rights, and storage and retrieval, all of which are at M (mandatory) and D (desirable) levels.

  • As the logistic environment of digital contents is rapidly changing, the protection of the digital rights for digital content has been recognized as one of critical issues. Digital Right Management(DRM) has taken much interest Internet Service Provider(ISP), authors and publishers of digital content as an interested approach to create a trusted environment for access and use of digital resources. This paper propose an interested digital rights protection scheme using license agent to address problems facing contemporary DRM approached : static digital rights management, and limited application to on-line environment. We introduce a dynamic mission control technology to realize dynamic digital rights management. And we incorporate license agent to on- and off-line monitoring and tracking. The proposed system prevent illegal access and use by using PKI security method, real time action monitoring for user, data security for itself.

  • Recently, research on digital twins to generate digital information and manage construction in real-time using advanced technology is being conducted actively. However, in the construction industry, it is difficult to optimize and apply digital technology in real-time due to the nature of the construction industry in which information is constantly fluctuating. In addition, inaccurate information on the topography of construction projects is a major challenge for earthmoving processes. In order to ultimately improve the cost-effectiveness of construction projects, both construction quality and productivity should be addressed through efficient construction information management in large-scale earthworks projects. Therefore, in this study, a 3D digital map-based AR site management work support system for higher efficiency and accuracy of site management was proposed by using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) in wide earthworks construction sites to generate point cloud data, building a 3D digital map through acquisition and analysis of on-site sensor-based information, and performing the visualization with AR at the site By utilizing the 3D digital map-based AR site management work support system proposed in this study, information is able to be provided quickly to field managers to enable an intuitive understanding of field conditions and immediate work processing, thereby reducing field management sluggishness and limitations of traditional information exchange systems. It is expected to contribute to the improvement of productivity by overcoming factors that decrease productivity in the construction industry and the improvement of work efficiency at construction sites.

암호 기술을 이용한 디지털 콘텐츠 안전 거래 시스템 구현 (Implementation of Digital Contents Safety Trade System using Encryption Technology)

  • The amount of digital content grows exponentially by the development of the internet and the change of computing environments and the target also is getting wider. The industry using this digital content has been growing greatly. However, the distribution of pirated digital content is increasing using internet because digital content is easy to store and transmit and the damage is growing. In this paper, we propose safety trading system which can conceal the author's information safely in digital content in order to block illegal distribution of digital content. ARIA encryption algorithm is used to protect the concealed information of author in digital content and it is a help to track the illegal traders by doing fingerprinting of buyer information to digital content and managing the transaction information. The technical support for copyright dispute is to allow by providing the capability to verify illegal edit to original digital contents.

가상폴더 접근방식의 디지털콘텐츠 관리방안 (Virtual Folder Based Approach to Digital Contents Control)

  • EDMS systems have been a main alternative for enterprise content management (ECM), which provide valuable functions for the effective control and management of organization-level digital contents. However, it has not been effective frequently for the purpose of integrative control of overall contents in an organization. One of reasons for this problem is that individuals usually create and store files with their own personal computers and do not move them to the central storage and control device, EDMS. Many occasions show that this situation can cause undesirable results for better management of enterprise contents. This paper introduced an approach of virtual folder which can directly connect individual computers and EDMS storage device without users' inconvenience. Adding the capacity of restricting usage of individual computer, users unavoidably and conveniently store and retrieve digital contents using EDMS server system. Several modules and implementing architecture for the virtual folder system are shown and the results of utilizing the system are explained with a case of application.

  • Many organizations are looking for digital innovation to apply in business process management and this information revolution leaves its effect on the businesses and anticipate competitors. In this article, investigates the strength of the relationship between business process management (BMP) and Digital Innovations (DI) since it has been underdeveloped. The results and findings are extracted from international survey with explanations of expert panel to generalized a positive and moderate link of multiple factors that are affecting the strategic decision-making in business process management. It is extended to the Technology Organization Environment (TOE) framework and contour organizations along their Digital Process Innovation (DPI).

디지털 객체 생애주기에 따른 대학생의 파일관리 행태 연구 (Study on the Digital File Management Behavior of Undergraduate Students according to the Life Cycle of Digital Object)

  • 본 연구는 대학생의 디지털 파일관리 행태를 파악하여 문제점을 도출하고 대학의 디지털 파일관리 서비스와 정책의 방향을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 디지털 객체 생애주기를 정의하고 디지털 파일관리 단계에 따라 대학의 학부생 154명을 대상으로 파일의 생성, 저장, 명칭부여, 구조화, 백업에 대한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 또한 공학, 예술, 사회, 인문의 전공계열별 각 2명씩, 모두 8명에 대해서는 심층면담을 진행하였다. 연구 결과, 학생들은 저장매체로 PC를, 백업매체로는 USB를 가장 많이 사용하였고, 자신만의 파일 명칭부여와 파일 구조화 방식을 가지고 있었다. 그리고 대학에서 소프트웨어와 클라우드 스토리지를 지원하는 경우 학생들의 만족도가 높았다. 따라서 대학에서는 학생들의 디지털 파일관리 행태를 반영한 서비스를 제공할 필요가 있음을 확인하였다.
