도플러 초음파 기기를 이용한 편측 부전마비성 뇌졸중 환자와 정상인의 말초 혈류 비교 연구 (Comparison of Peripheral Blood Flow in Post-Stroke Hemiparetic Patients and Normal Person with Doppler Ultrasonography)

  • Stroke is usually associated with the cerebral blood flow of the central nervous system. However, studies concerning the effects of neurologic sysmptoms induced from stroke on the peripheral blood flow has not taken place sufficiently. To ascertain the feasibility of a blood flow meter adopting to use doppler ultrasonogrphy, under the prospect that hemiparesis induced from stroke may have effect on the peripheral blood flow, the peripheral blood flow velocity was observed. The control group made up of healthy people without any factors capable of effecting the peripheral blood flow velocity, and patient group which consist of hemiparetic people induced from stroke, were recruited. Volumes of recruitment are 21 persons in the patient group, and 29 persons in the control group, but the final numbers of people are 17 and 21 respectively because of the inconsistancy in the method of the test. The non-invasive method of Doppler effect of Ultrasound was used to measure the blood flow velocity. The blood flow velocity in the peripheral part of left and right fourth fingers:dorsal branches of proper palmar digital artery to dorsum of distal phalanges, was measured in the control group and patient group through Doppler Ultrasound. In comparison of the control group and the patient group, the systolic blood flow velocity from the peripheral part of the upper extremity was lower in the patient group than that of the control group. According to such results, it is concluded that hemiparesis induces the reduction of the peripheral blood flow velocity in the systolic phase.

The thermal impedance spectroscopy on Li-ion batteries using heat-pulse response analysis

  • Novel characterization of thermal properties of a battery has been introduced by defining its frequency-dependent thermal impedance function. Thermal impedance function can be approximated as a thermal impedance spectrum by analyzing experimental temperature transient which is related to the thermal impedance function through Laplace transformation. In order to obtain temperature transient, a process has been devised to generate external heat pulse with heating wire and to measure the response of battery. This process is used to study several commercial Li-ion batteries of cylindrical type. The thermal impedance measurements have been performed using potentionstat/galvanostate controlled digital signal processor, which is more commonly available than flow-meter usually applied for thermal property measurements. Thermal impedance spectra obtained for batteries produced by different manufactures are found to differ considerably. Comparison of spectra at different states of charge indicates independence of thermal impedance on charging state of battery. It is shown that thermal impedance spectrum can be used to obtain simultaneously thermal capacity and thermal conductivity of battery by non-linear complex least-square fit of the spectrum to thermal impedance model. Obtained data is used to simulate a response of the battery to internal heating during discharge. It is found that temperature inside the battery is by one-third larger that on its surface. This observation has to be considered to prevent damage by overheating.

흡기다기관 형상변화가 3기통 LPG엔진의 토크 특성에 끼치는 영향에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Effects of Intake Manifold Shapes on the Torque Characteristics in a 3-Cylinder LPG Engine)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of intake manifold shapes to improve the engine performance in a 3-cylinder LPG engine with a closed loop fuel supply system. To know the flow resistance of intake manifolds with shape, the intake negative pressure of each runner in intake manifolds were measured by using the digital pressure meter at each driving condition. And, the engine torque and power have been measured with an engine dynamometer while adjusting the optimal fuel consumption ratio with a solenoid driver. As 속 results form this experiment, the torque characteris- tics were more improved with the plenum chamber(B type intake manifold) than with the banana type(A type intake manifold). The torque characteristics were improved at mid-engine speed(rpm) range as the inner diameter of the intake manifold became smaller. And also the optimum volume among the examined plenum chamber volume was 0.74 times(590cc) the displacement of the test engine.

모델빌더 기반 하천망의 DEM 각인 및 추출 툴 개발 (A tool development for forced striation and delineation of river network from digital elevation model based on ModelBuilder)

  • 하천망과 유역 등 하천 네트워크 관련 공간자료는 각종 하천관리, 하천계획 및 설계, 수리수문학적 해석 등의 근간을 이루는 기초자료로 활용되고 있다. 기존 RIMGIS 등에서 제공하는 하천정보도 현행화 및 적절한 관리 부족으로 공간정보시스템간 불일치와 실제 하천지형과 이격이 나타나고 있는 실정이다. 또한, 고해상도 수치지형도(DEM)이 국가하천 주변 등 일부 지역에서만 제공되어, 저해상도 DEM으로부터 추출된 하천네트워크 정보의 신뢰도가 낮고 가용한 기수립 하천네트워크 정보와의 불일치는 DEM 기반 다양한 하천정보 추출 및 탄력적 활용을 저하시키고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 우선 국내 하천공간정보시스템이 제공하는 하천망 정보의 공간정확도, 정보체계간 일치성 등을 평가하고, 낮은 해상도의 DEM에 기수립된 하천망을 DEM에 강제로 각인시키는 방법으로 DEM을 개선하여 추후 하천망 혹은 유역 추출 시 기수립 하천망 혹은 유역대로 재현이 가능하게 하여 하천분야에 DEM의 활용성을 높일 수 있는 방법론과 소프트웨어(Forced river Network Striation and Delineation tool: FNSD)을 개발하고자 하였다. 개발된 FNSD는 ArcGIS의 ModelBuilder에서 순차적으로 관련 모듈을 연계시켜 자동화되도록 설계되었고, 한강수계의 섬강 유역에 시범 적용되었으며 항공사진 정보를 기반으로 수작업을 통해 도출된 하천망을 기수립 하천망으로 간주하여 30 m 저해상도 DEM에 각인시켜 하천망을 재추출한 후 주어진 기수립 하천망과 비교하여 재현 정확도를 검토하였다. 섬강유역에 적용한 결과 FNSD는 기수립 하천망을 정확하게 재현할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 이러한 검증결과는 각인된 DEM이 다양한 차수의 하천망 및 유역을 신뢰성 있게 재현할 수 있어 저해상도 DEM의 하천활용도를 높이는데 기여할 가능성이 있음을 의미한다.
