2륜 자동차용 촉매 변환기 형상에 따른 배기온도 특성 (Exhaust Gas Temperature Characteristics of Catalytic Converter Shape for Motorcycle)

  • This research represents the catalytic converter for application in the motorcycle. Present research model type is a monolithic catalytic converter and this type has been widely used for satisfaction on and the regulations of pollutant emissions in automobiles. The experiment range is found for light-off temperature time of the catalyst converter. And we has to experiment for effective area of catalytic monolith. The experimental result indicated an increase effective area in the catalytic monolith. Specialty, it was found from the result that the more positive effect from result of thermal image camera in the megaphone model. The rate of effective area for base model was about 8.97% and megaphone model was 41.52%, 34.60%, 33.43%, 25.43% and 17.82% on the diffuser angle $4^{\circ}$ to $8^{\circ}$. Comparing with base type, megaphone type has more suitable for application to motorcycle.

  • In this paper, the performance of Hybrid Dimming control system for Daylighting system is evaluated by accredited tests. The system controls the balance of illuminance of daylight between daylight system and LED light system. It makes the normal illuminance of interior without the effects of weather by controlling the LED depending on the brightness of outside. For the tests, 6 diffusers($600{\times}300mm$) were installed in lighting area($36m^2$) and normal operation of the system sensors were tested about the interference of sunlight. The results of the examinations were satisfied with the criteria of accredited tests. Further research is the verification of energy saving effect by comparing the Hybrid Dimming control system to current artificial light system.

산악지역 소규모하수처리시설의 특성 및 동절기 운영방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Small-scale Sewage Treatment Plants in Mountain Area and Operation Plan for Winter Season)

  • 소규모 하수처리장의 경우 유입수량의 변동폭이 크고 하수관거 노후화로 인한 불명수 유입 등에 의해 하수처리 운영이 어려운 것으로 보고되고 있다. 특히, 동절기 수온저하로 인한 전반적인 운영문제가 많아 본 연구에서는 산악지역에 위치한 소규모 하수처리시설의 운영현황과 온도에 따른 수질변화를 분석하였다. BOD, COD, SS의 경우 온도에 따라 방류수 수질 농도가 크게 변화하는 것으로 나타났으며, 특히 COD가 많은 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 한시적으로 동절기 수온 저하 대책을 적용하고자 생물반응조 수위를 0.4m 상승시켰으며, 생물반응조 덮개를 설치하고 운영하였을 때 결과를 비교 분석한 결과 유의미한 개선효과가 발생하였다. 이외 동절기 생물반응조 처리효율 저하에 대한 개선방안을 생물반응조 체류시간 연장하는 방안으로 생물반응조 규격을 확대하는 방안, 유량조정조를 신설하고 외부반송하는 방안, 무산소에 산기장치를 설치하여 동절기 비상시 호기조로 사용하는 개선방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구결과는 동절기 소규모 하수처리시설 운영방안에 대한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

고압 다단 펌프의 임펠러 자오면 곡선에 대한 수치 해석적 연구 (A Numerical Study on the Impeller Meridional Curvature of High Pressure Multistage Pump)

  • 본 연구에서는 RO용 고압 다단 펌프의 수력 부 성능에 대해서 연구를 수행하였다. 수력 부 설계는 크게 임펠러 설계와 레이디얼 디퓨저 설계로 나뉠 수 있다. 임펠러의 자오면 형상 변화에 따른 유동분포와 성능을 수치 해석적으로 연구하였으며, 임펠러 외경, 출구 폭, eye dia 등은 고정시킨 상태에서 반응 표면 기법을 이용하여 허브 및 쉬라우드 자오면 곡선을 변화 시키면서 성능을 최적화하였다. 해석결과 양정에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 설계 변수는 ${\varepsilon}Ds$로 나타났으며 효율은 허브 입구 길이 및 쉬라우드 곡선이 가장 큰 영향을 주는 것을 알 수 있었다. 자오면 프로파일을 변경한 결과 기준모델(case 25)에 비해 약 0.5% 효율이 개선됨을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 본 실험 연구에서는 대표적인 네 가지 타입의 승용차 차량형태에 대한 공기역학(공력) 성능 분석, 측면 유리의 각도에 따른 공력 성능 분석, 엔진후드(엔진 덮개)의 각도차이에 따른 공력 성능 분석, 루프 라인의 각도 차이에 따른 공력 성능 분석을 통해 차량의 형태 변화에 따라 공력 성능이 어떻게 변화하는지를 종합적으로 분석해 보았다. 실험결과 비스듬히 떨어지는 후면 유리 라인은 공력 성능을 저하시켰고, 루프의 각도 차이에 따른 공력 성능 차이는 거의 나타나지 않았으며 일찍 떨어지는 후면 라인은 공력 성능에 가시적인 영향을 끼치지 않았다. 차량의 루프라인이 수평으로 늦게까지 이어지다 천천히 떨어지는 후면 유리 라인은 스타일링에 도움이 될지언정 공력 성능은 저하시켰다. 후방 디퓨저의 경우 차체의 형태에 따라 그 성능 효과가 달라지는 것으로 판단되었다.

  • Disinfection is a basic and effective microorganism inactivation method and historically contributed a decrease in waterborne diseases. To guarantee the disinfection ability, improving T in CT value is important. Many indexes are used to estimate the hydraulic efficiency, however, these are black-box analysis. Therefore it is need to develope new estimation method. In this study, internal short-circuiting estimation method (ISEM) is developed using CFD and we inquire into the factor which causes increase of $T_{10}/T$ value as LW ratio increases. And the effect of shape on the relation of LW ratio and $T_{10}/T$ is analyzed. As LW ratio increases, internal short-circuiting index (ISI) of influent and effluent zone is rapidly reduced and recirculation and dead zone are reduced in channel zone. Therefore, as the $T_{10}/T$ value converges maximum value, ISI curve is changed from "V" shape to "U" shape and hydraulic efficiency is improved especially in downstream portion of clearwell. The less the shape ratio(width/length of clearwell) is the less the $T_{10}/T$ value is at a same LW ratio because the portion of turning zone increases as shape ration decreases, therefore more boundary separation is generated.

이류체 노즐을 이용한 유전체장벽방전 플라즈마 가스의 OH 라디칼 생성 향상 (Enhancement of OH Radical Generation of Dielectric Barrier Discharge Plasma Gas Using Air-automizing Nozzle)

  • Many chemically active species such as ${\cdot}H$, ${\cdot}OH$, $O_3$, $H_2O_2$, hydrated $e^-$, as well as ultraviolet rays, are produced by Dielectric Barrier Discharge (DBD) plasma in water and are widely use to remove non-biodegradable materials and deactivate microorganisms. As the plasma gas containing chemically active species that is generated from the plasma reaction has a short lifetime and low solubility in water, increasing the dissolution rate of this gas is an important challenge. To this end, the plasma gas and water within reactor were mixed using the air-automizing nozzle, and then, water-gas mixture was injected into water. The dissolving effect of plasma gas was indirectly confirmed by measuring the RNO (N-Dimethyl-4-nitrosoaniline, indicator of the formation of OH radical) solution. The plasma system consisted of an oxygen generator, a high-voltage power supply, a plasma generator and a liquid-gas mixing reactor. Experiments were conducted to examine the effects of location of air-automizing nozzle, flow rate of plasma gas, water circulation rate, and high-voltage on RNO degradation. The experimental results showed that the RNO removal efficiency of the air-automizing nozzle is 29.8% higher than the conventional diffuser. The nozzle position from water surface was not considered to be a major factor in the design and operation of the plasma reactor. The plasma gas flow rate and water circulation rate with the highest RNO removal rate were 3.5 L/min and 1.5 L/min, respectively. The ratio of the plasma gas flow rate to the water circulation rate for obtaining an RNO removal rate of over 95% was 1.67 ~ 4.00.

  • LCD-BLU (Liquid Crystal Display - Back Light Unit) is one of kernel parts of LCD unit and it consists of several optical sheets(such as prism, diffuser and protector sheets), LGP (Light Guiding Plate), light source (CCFL or LED) and mold frame. The LGP of LCD-BLU is usually manufactured by forming numerous dots with $50{\sim}200$ um in diameter on it by etching process. But the surface of the etched dots of LGP is very rough due to the characteristics of the etching process during the mold fabrication, so that its light loss is high along with the dispersion of light into the surface. Accordingly, there is a limit in raising the luminance of LCD-BLU. In order to overcome the limit of current etched dot patterned LGP, optical pattern design with 50um micro-lens was applied in the present study. The micro-lens pattern fabricated by modified LiGA with thermal reflow process was applied to the optical design of LGP. The attention was paid to the effects of different aspect ratio (i.e. $0.2{\sim}0.5$) of optical pattern conditions to the brightness distribution of BLU with micro-lens patterned LGP. Finally, high aspect ratio micro-lens patterned LGP showed superior results to the one made by low aspect ratio in average luminance.

무전해 니켈도금 소재의 초정밀 가공에서 V-형상 미세 패턴 가공한계에 대한 실험적 평가 (Experimental evaluation of machining limit in machining V-shaped microgrooves on electroless nickel plated die materials)

  • The continuing demand for increasingly slimmer and brighter liquid crystal display (LCD) panels has led to an increased focus on the role of light guide panels (LGPs) or optical films that are used to obtain diffuse, uniform light from the backlight unit (BLU). The most basic process in the production of such BLU components is the micromachining of V-shaped grooves. Thus, given the current trend, micromachining of V-shaped grooves is expected to play increasingly important roles in today's manufacturing technology. LCD BLUs comprise various optical elements such as a LGP, diffuser sheet, prism sheet, and protector sheet with V-shaped grooves. High-aspect-ratio patterns are required to reduce the number of sheets and enhance light efficiency, but there is a limit to the aspect ratio achievable for a given material and cutting tool. Therefore, this study comprised a series of experimental evaluations conducted to determine the machining limit in microcutting V-shaped grooves on electroless nickel plated die materials when using single-crystal diamond tools with point angles of $20^{\circ}-80^{\circ}$. Cutting performance was evaluated at various cutting speeds and depths of cut using different machining methods and machine tools. The experimental results are that V-shaped patterns with angles of $80^{\circ}$ or up can be realized regardless of the machining conditions and equipment. Moreover, the feed rate has little effect on machinability, and it is thought that the fly-cut method is more efficient for shallow patterns.

이산화탄소 노출에 따른 두줄망둑(Tridentiger trigonocephalus)의 번식 특성 변화 (Changes in Reproductive Characteristics of Chameleon Goby Tridentiger trigonocephalus by Carbon Dioxide Exposure)

  • We investigated the effect of $CO_2$ exposure on the reproductive process of chameleon goby Tridentiger trigonocephalus. Rearing aquaria were exposed for 90 days to $CO_2$ gas through diffuser connected with pH controller maintaining at pH 7.2 ($156.31{\pm}7.90ppm$) in low treatment, and at pH 6.5 ($274.17{\pm}6.51ppm$) in high treatment. $CO_2$ treatment had no significant effects on survival rates although the value was decreased compared to the controls. In female fish, $CO_2$ treatment had no significant effects on gonadosomatic index (GSI), hepatosomatic index (HSI) and condition factor (CF). However, high $CO_2$ treatment decreased HSI and CF in males significantly compared to the controls (P<0.05). The spawning occurrence was 6 times in the low level $CO_2$ treatment, and 4 times in the high level $CO_2$ treatment although only once in the controls. For the histological observations, there was no significant difference in $CO_2$ treatments. However, in male fish, $CO_2$ treatment delayed the formation of sperm from spermatid compared to controls. These results suggest $CO_2$ may disrupt reproductive process by delaying gametogenesis in chameleon goby and it was more sensitive in males.
