미분법 단원에서 용어의 문제 (A Study on the Problem of Terminology in Calculus)

  • This article intends to review what problems the terms in calculus have and how those problems are caused. For this purpose We make examinations on the considerations in the analysis of mathematical terminology, which includes the problems of general and technical terms, the meaning and the boundary of words, their consistency, the name and meaning, concept and their concept images, translations and qwerty effects. And in chapter 3, We analyse the textbook which are currently used, through which I was able to find out that the terms in calculus have some problems, In other words, the key terms such as "differentiable", "differential coefficient", "differential" have their roots in the term "differential" but the term "derived function" is very distinct from other terms and thus obstructs the consistency of terms. And the central term "differential" is being used without clear definition. In particular, the fact that "differential", when used in its arbitrary definition, has the image of "splitting minutely" can be an obstacle to understanding the exact concepts of calculus. In chapter 4, We make a review on the history of calculus and the term "differential" currently used in modern mathematics so that I can identify the origin of the problem connected with the usage of the term "differential". We should recognize the specified problems and its causes and keep their instructional implications in mind. Furthermore, following researches and discussions should be made on whether the terminology system of calculus should be reestablished and how the reestablishment should be made.e terminology system of calculus should be reestablished and how the reestablishment should be made.

  • In 1992. Boullion obtained the method of the calculus of the moments of discrete probability distributions using differential operator, and he published the method of calculus of the moments.   • How to teach calculus is an important issue since Calculus is the first mathematics in college curriculum which highly influences other subjects including Physics, Engineering Mathematics like differential equations, and other engineering major subjects. This study suggests that a class model of Engineering Mathematics include Calculus review test so that students can study for themselves Calculus 'outside Calculus class'. First of all, a systematic process of administrating a review test is presented. Secondly, scores of the Calculus review test is statistically analyzed to confirm that ability in Calculus is highly correlated to their achievements in Engineering mathematics. Through a survey, it is confirmed that students in Engineering Mathematics study Calculus for themselves as they think Calculus review test is helpful.

  • We study the stochastic integral of an operator valued process against with a Banach space valued regular process. We establish the existence and uniqueness of solution of the stochastic differential equation for a Banach space valued regular process under the certain conditions. As an application of it, we study a noncommutative stochastic differential equation.

  • The subject of fractional calculus (that is, the calculus of integrals and derivatives of any arbitrary real or complex order) has gained considerable popularity and importance during the past over four decades, due mainly to its demonstrated applications in numerous seemingly diverse and widespread fields of mathematical, physical, engineering and statistical sciences. Various operators of fractional-order derivatives as well as fractional-order integrals do indeed provide several potentially useful tools for solving differential and integral equations, and various other problems involving special functions of mathematical physics as well as their extensions and generalizations in one and more variables. The main object of this survey-cum-expository article is to present a brief elementary and introductory overview of the theory of the integral and derivative operators of fractional calculus and their applications especially in developing solutions of certain interesting families of ordinary and partial fractional "differintegral" equations. This general talk will be presented as simply as possible keeping the likelihood of non-specialist audience in mind.
