In this paper, we propose an threshold-based Schur algorithm for estimating the media characteristics of sub-bottom multi-layers by using the signal generated by a parametric array transducer. We use the KZK model to generate a parametric array signal, and use the proposed threshold-based Schur algorithm for estimating the reflection coefficients of multiple sea bottom layers. Using computer simulation, we verify that the difference frequency component generated by the KZK model prevails over the signals of primary frequencies at long range. For the simulation, we use the transmit signal generated by the KZK and the reflected signal obtained from a lattice filter model for the seawater and sub-bottom of multi-level non-homogeneous layers. Through the simulation, we verify that the proposed threshold-based Schur algorithm can give much more accurate and efficient estimates of the reflection coefficients than methods using received signal, matched filter output signal, and normal Schur algorithm output.

The purpose of this paper is to implement a Labview based TFDR Real Time system through the instruments of Pci eXtensions for Instrumentation(PXI). The proposed load impedance measurement algorithm was verified by experiments via the implemented real time system. The TFDR real time system consisted of the reference signal design, signal generation, signal acquisition, algorithm execution and results display parts. To implement real time system, all of the parts wore programmed by the Labview which is one of graphical programming languages. In the application software implemented by the Labview we were able to design a suitable reference signal according to the length and frequency attenuation characteristics of the target cable and controled the arbitrary waveform generator(ZT500PXI) of the signal generation part and the digital storage oscilloscope(ZT430PXI) of the signal acquisition part. By using the TFDR real time system with the terminal resistor on the target cable, we applied to the load impedance measurements. In the proposed load impedance algorithm a normalized time-frequency cross correlation function and a cross time-frequency distribution function was employed to calculate the reflection coefficient and phase difference between the input and the reflected signals.
In speech signal processing, it is very important to detect the pitch exactly in speech recognition, synthesis and analysis. If we exactly pitch detect in speech signal, in the analysis, we can use the pitch to obtain properly the vocal tract parameter. It can be used to easily change or to maintain the naturalness and intelligibility of quality in speech synthesis and to eliminate the personality for speaker-independence in speech recognition. In this paper, we proposed a new pitch detection algorithm. First, positive center clipping is process by using the incline of speech in order to emphasize pitch period with a glottal component of removed vocal tract characteristic in time domain. And rough formant envelope is computed through peak-fitting spectrum of original speech signal infrequence domain. Using the roughed formant envelope, obtain the smoothed formant envelope through calculate the linear interpolation. As well get the flattened harmonics waveform with the algebra difference between spectrum of original speech signal and smoothed formant envelope. Inverse fast fourier transform (IFFT) compute this flattened harmonics. After all, we obtain Residual signal which is removed vocal tract element. The performance was compared with LPC and Cepstrum, ACF. Owing to this algorithm, we have obtained the pitch information improved the accuracy of pitch detection and gross error rate is reduced in voice speech region and in transition region of changing the phoneme.
This study preformed a research about the traffic signal light that is adding supplementary green light to prevent driver's cognitive errors and plan safe driving through improving visual cognitivity of present traffic signal light. The result of comparing the present traffic signal light(three colors, four colors) with the traffic signal light(three colors, four colors) adding supplementary green light through car simulator has a significant difference. This result shows possibility that the traffic signal light adding supplementary green light can contribute in safety driving at a point that the traffic signal light advances a point of braking time when drivers didn't recognize by themselves. The findings in this study ca say that there is the meaning in showing a actual application possibility of this study finding by investigating a action of subjective response the moment compare driver's actual response.

In this paper, the discharge image of NO particles wire-cylinder type electrode in the discharge reactor where AC dielectric barrier type corona discharge occurred and horizontal and vertical signal intensity at each flourescence emission during discharge and the horizontal and vertical signal strength of NO particles at flourescence emission wavelength band[236[nm], 247[nm]], were measured were measured by ICCD Camera. In addition discharge images and signal intensities in accordance with discharge time were measured to figure out the discharge mechanism. It was found that the strongest horizontal and vertical signal intensity of NO particles were observed at 247[nm] band, but no big difference in the horizontal and vertical signal intensity in accordance with discharge time was seen. In particular, the phenomenon image occuring inside the discharge reactor and wavelength ware able to be carried based on the measured data.
Background and Objectives: Detection of auditory signals may be improved when maskers far from the frequency of the target signal are coherently amplitude-modulated. This improvement of signal detection is called comodulation masking release (CMR). In the CMR experiments, flankers have been usually arranged symmetrically. In practice, we will be confronted with a problem by using symmetric flankers due to the limited output of clinical audiometers, especially at high-frequency. We aimed to check whether flanker arrangement has any effect on the amount of CMR, especially when there is no flankers with a frequency higher than the signal. Subjects and Methods: Eighteen normal hearing listeners ranging in age from 20 to 46 years old participated. Symmetric (2-2) and asymmetric (3-1 and 4-0) flankers were used and then the amount of CMR compared among them. Results: Our results showed in the same numbers of flankers, there were no statistically CMR differences between symmetric and asymmetric arrangement. Also when we did not have a flanker at a frequency higher than the signal and all flankers were placed below the signal, there was no statistically difference with the symmetric arrangement. Conclusions: The asymmetry of the flankers and also omitting the flankers with a frequency higher than the signal, have no effect on CMR results. We concluded that CMR can be considered by using clinical audiometer.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of contact type textile electrode structure on heart activity signal acquisition for smart healthcare. In this study, we devised six contact type textile electrodes whose electrode size and configuration were manipulated for measuring heart activity signals using computerized embroidery. We detected heart activity signals using a modified lead II and by attaching each textile electrode to the chest band in four healthy male subjects in a standing static posture. We measured the signals four times repeatedly for all types of electrodes. The heart activity signals were sampled at 1 kHz using a BIOPAC ECG100, and the detected original signals were filtered through a band-pass filter. To compare the performance of heart activity signal acquisition among the different structures of the textile electrodes, we conducted a qualitative analysis using signal waveform and size as parameters. In addition, we performed a quantitative analysis by calculating signal power ratio (SPR) of the heart activity signals obtained through each electrode. We analyzed differences in the performance of heart activity signal acquisition of the six electrodes by performing difference and post-hoc tests using nonparametric statistic methods on the calculated SPR. The results showed a significant difference both in terms of qualitative and quantitative aspects of heart activity signals among the tested contact type textile electrodes. Regarding the configurations of the contact type textile electrodes, the three-dimensionally inflated electrode (3DIE) was found to obtain better quality signals than the flat electrode. However, regarding the electrode size, no significant difference was found in performance of heart signal acquisition for the three electrode sizes. These results suggest that the configuration method (flat/3DIE), which is one of the two requirements of a contact type textile electrode structure for heart activity signal acquisition, has a critical effect on the performance of heart activity signal acquisition for wearable healthcare. Based on the results of this study, we plan to develop a smart clothing technology that can monitor high-quality heart activity without time and space constraints by implementing a clothing platform integrated with the textile electrode and developing a performance improvement plan.
There are communication methods that guarantees real-time and method of performing the simultaneous acquisition through the synchronized multi-channels to improve the reliability of the telemetry system. Such synchronized systems need to be verified to confirm the simultaneous measurement performance of channels. In this paper, we propose a method to measure the time difference between synchronized channels in a telemetry system through simultaneous acquisition performance test. The simulation signal is applied for measurement and the difference between the sampling period and the simulation signal period is defined as the concept of time resolution. The principle of checking the measurement time difference between channels through time resolution was explained. In addition, the proposed principle was verified through simulation in the situation when measurement time difference may occur. And a procedure for identifying a measurement time difference in an actual telemetry system is described.

Currently, as Plasma application is expanded to the industrial and medical industrial, low temperature plasma applications became important. Especially in medical and biology, many researchers have studied about generated radical species in atmospheric pressure low temperature plasma directly adapted to human body. Therefore, so measurement their plasma parameter is very important work and is widely studied all around world. One of the plasma parameters is electron density and it is closely relative to radical production through the plasma source. some kinds of method to measuring the electron density are Thomson scattering spectroscopy and Millimeter-wave transmission measurement. But most methods have very expensive cost and complex configuration to composed of experiment system. We selected Michelson interferometer system which is very cheap and simple to setting up, so we tried to measuring electron density by laser interferometer with laser beam chopping module for measurement of temporal phase difference in plasma jet. To measuring electron density at atmospheric pressure Ar plasma jet, we obtained the temporal phase shift signal of interferometer. Phase difference of interferometer can occur because of change by refractive index of electron density in plasma jet. The electron density was able to estimate with this phase difference values by using physical formula about refractive index change of external electromagnetic wave in plasma. Our guiding laser used Helium-Neon laser of the centered wavelength of 632 nm. We installed chopper module which can make a 4kHz pulse laser signal at the laser front side. In this experiment, we obtained more exact synchronized phase difference between with and without plasma jet than reported data at last year. Especially, we found the phase difference between time range of discharge current. Electron density is changed from Townsend discharge's electron bombardment, so we observed the phase difference phenomenon and calculated the temporal electron density by using phase shift. In our result, we suggest that the electron density have approximately range between 1014~ 1015 cm-3 in atmospheric pressure Ar plasma jet.
