  • The existence and exact location of cavity is very important for the stability of the large underground storage house or building. Numerical method such as finite element method and finite diference methods are widely used because of model's complexity. Preliminary tests such as calculation step test, mesh size test and model size test were tried. Upper shadow zone and lower shadow zone can be calculated from 50% amplitude level of measuring data. From these statistical methods, the calculatied position of cavity coincided nearly with actual position of model testing cavity.

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to investigate effects of long-term taxi driving posture on the balance of musculoskelectal system. Methods : The author practiced Moire topography by using IBS-2000 for 30 male taxi drivers and general people. Then we measured difference of contour lines, difference of shoulder joint height, interval between vertical baseline of pelvis and vertical baseline of neck, ratio of thoracic curve and lumbar curve, difference of width between right and left through Moire topography. After we statistically analyzed difference of Moire topography's data between long-term employed male taxi drivers and general people. Results : 1. Taxi drivers, difference of contour lines in scapular, lumbar, gluteal region was bigger than general people and significant difference(p<0.05) was observed between subject group. 2. Taxi drivers, diference of shoulder joint height was more large than general people and significant difference(p<0.01) was observed between subject group. 3. Taxi drivers, diference of interval between vertical baseline of pelvis and vertical baseline of neck was more large than general people and significant difference((p<0.05) was observed between subject group. 4. Taxi drivers, ratio of thoracic curve was more large than general people and ratio of lumbar curve was more less than general people and significant difference(p<0.05) was observed between subject group. Conclusions : According to above results long-term taxi driving posture might cause musculoskelectal system unbalance.

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study is to test the effect of the web-b ased alcohol preventive education for ndicate the model of alcohol preventive education for students spreading al over the family and the comunity. Methods : This study was performed on the 1 public and 1 private eleme ntary school students who are the six grade in Seongdong-gu, Seoul. The number of experimental gr oup was 117 and control group's number was 131, totaled 248. eeks. The pre- and the post-test for web-based alcohol preventive education were tested about knowle dge and attitude toward drinking by questionnaire. The data analysis was done using SPS/Win 12.0 p rogram. Results:The results of this study are as follows;1. Compared with control group, experimental group which was educated the web-based alcohol preventive icant diference in the knowledge toward drinking.2. Compared with control group, also the experimental group w as improved with significant diference in attitude toward drinking after the education.3. In control group, female students' knowledge of drinking w as more increased than male students. And the he group which experienced drinking. Conclusions : The web-based alcohol preventi ve education is worth as a int ervention to get positive influence for the health education. Especially in female studen ts who didn't met with drinking, early education for alcohol prevention is very important. Therefore i t will be helpful that coperate with district ofice ithin the comunity for becoming established the controled drinking pattern.

  • In many cases, clustering algorithms have been used for extracting and discovering useful information from non-linear data. They have made a great effect on performances of the systems dealing with non-linear data. Thus, this paper presents a new approach called hierarchically structured clustering algorithm, and it is applied to the prediction system for non-linear time series data. The proposed hierarchically structured clustering algorithm (called HCKA: Hierarchical Cross-correlation and K-means clustering Algorithms) in which the cross-correlation and k-means clustering algorithm are combined can accept the correlationship of non-linear time series as well as statistical characteristics. First, the optimal differences of data are generated, which can suitably reveal the characteristics of non-linear time series. Second, the generated differences are classified into the upper clusters for their predictors by the cross-correlation clustering algorithm, and then each classified differences are classified again into the lower fuzzy sets by the k-means clustering algorithm. As a result, the proposed method can give an efficient classification and improve the performance. Finally, we demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed HCKA via typical time series examples.

  • The mobile communication technology which provides various data service and satifies the required quality in wireless environment can be classified as the forth generation mobile communication technology the forth generation communication technology must has diference with the 2nd and 3nd generation mobile communication technology. It must has the more advanced and more united shape than 3nd generation mobile communication. The forth generation mobile communication technology include following technology: Adaptive coding ar modulation, Smart antenna, Interference cancellation, Advanced handoff mechanism between networks. In this study, I represent the development and standardization of this technology.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between demographic and psychological variables and clothing behavior with reference to sex difference in adult and elderly groups. The clothing behavior was measured by Clothing importance, Interest, Conformity, Modesty, Psychological dependence, Aesthetics, Management, Fashion, and Clothing satis-faction. Psychological variables in this study were self-esteem and life-satisfaction, and demographic variables were sex, education, family type, health, and clothing expenditure. The hypotheses set up in this study were as follows : First, a causal relationship will exist between demographic and psychological variables and clothing behavior in both adult and elderly groups. Second, in clothing behavior a main effect will exist between male and female groups and between adult and elderly groups. Third, in clothing behavior and interaction effect will exist between sex and age. The subjects of this study were 496 adult males, 459 elderly males, and 446 elderly females residing in Pusan area. The material used in this study to measure the clothing behavior was a 5-point rating scale with 31 items in 9 sub-areas developed by the author. The data were collected by five investigatiors well trained in interview before-hand. The following conclusions were obtained from the relults and discussions of this study : First, sex, education, and clothing expendi-ture has a causal relationship with clothing behavior in adult group. Females, higher-educated group, and the group with more clothing expenditure reveal higher concern for clothing. In adult group life-satisfaction does not have any causal relationship with clothing behavior in general execpt for clothing satis-to Psychological dependence, Aesthetics, Management, and Clothing satisfaction in the group. Second, in elderly group sex, education, and health significantly contribute to clothing behavior. A cencern for clothing is higher in female, higher-educated group, and the group with higher perception in health. Self-esteem has a causal relationship with Clothing importance, Conformity, Management, and Clothing satisfaction, whereas life-satisfaction has a strong causal relationship with clothing behavior in general. Third, in both adult and elderly groups a sig-nificant sex diference exists in clothing behavior. Females show higher concern for Clothing importance, Interest, Psychological dependence, Aesthetics, Management, and Fashion than males. On the other hand, males reveal higher concern for Conformity and Clothing satisfaction than females. Fourth, a significant interaction effect exists between age and sex, while elderly females show lower concern for Clothing importance, Interest, and Psychological dependence than adult females, elderly males show higher concern for the same sub-areas of clothing behavior than adult males. This signifies the increase of the concern for clothing in elderly males with the decrease of social activities. Fifth, adult female group reveals lower Con-formity in clothing compared with the other groups, which signifies the higher individuality in clothing behavior. On the other hand, the elderly groups show significantly higher Conformity than the adult groups. this signifies the importance of the consideration for the variables other than individuality in clothing behavior for the group.
