Preservice teachers should learn the knowledge and skill necessary to meet intellectual, social and personal needs of students with culturally diverse background. Thus this study was to examine preservice teachers' attitudes and perception about multicultural education. The participants of the study comprised of 297 preservice teachers who were in the teacher preparation course. The questionnaire items consisted of 36 statements. The data were analyzed by factor analysis, correlation and t, F test. The results are as follows. First, on the basis of above, with respect to the reliability data, it is apparent that preservice teacher survey is adequate1y reliable. Second, needs of multicultural education and attitudes about cultural diversity of preservice teachers showed the positive correlation. Third, personal attitudes of preservice teachers about multicultural diversity were generally positive. Fourth, preservice teachers' expectation about the adequacy of curriculum in teacher preparation was low in compared with other factors. Attitudes about cultural diversity and attitudes preventing multicultural education showed the negative correlation. Based on this results, multicultural education should be reflected in the curriculum to meet diverse needs of preservice teachers. And teachers' attitudes and beliefs have an impact on their behaviors in the classroom, teachers preparation program for changes of their attitudes and beliefs should be developed.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the level of current difference of education needs for instructional competency of lifelong education instructor and the level of importance of lifelong education for drawing priority. Through the literature review, this is divided the lifelong education instructor's competencies such as planning, implementation, management and support and analyzed the current level and importance with 35 items through t-test analysis. The priority for education needs is applied to Borich and the Locus for Focus model simultaneously. According to result for study, the largest item of competency for lifelong education instructor is verified with the current level and importance for building of social networking and managing competency. The top priority item of education needs for instructional competency of lifelong education instructor is located in the first quadrant of model and the Locus for Focus model, according to priority in needs for Borich and was showed in program competency. The second items in priority were derived by learning resources, information gathering, competency for focus development, equitable evaluation for student, competency for building team work. Therefore, these competencies are considered as factors for priority of lifelong instructor and will be developed in personal and organizational development.
The purpose of the study was to analyze the various outcomes of parent competency enhancement project for children's education by Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education in Daegu, Korea. For this, the study explored the developmental process of parent educational competency enhancement policy and the main contents of parent competency enhancement project for children's education. Based on this, the study analyzed the outcomes of parent competency enhancement project for children's education. The main results are as the followings. First, a system for enhancing parents' competency for children's education by administering parent competency enhancement project for children's education was established. Second, personnel for parent education by administering parent competency enhancement project for children's education was cultivated. Third, basic courses and in-depth courses using the needs of parent who is educational consumer by administering parent competency enhancement project for children's education were developed. Finally, the result of evaluation by student, parent, and teacher and educational expert indicated that they showed high satisfaction about parent competency enhancement project for children's education. However, it showed that it is necessary to make up the operational time and method and the profession of instructor and program and to support parent considering various types of school. The implications for the main results were discussed.

This study aimed to analyze the content of Records Data Management (RDM) training programs provided by 51 out of 121 university libraries in North America that implemented RDM services, and to provide implications from the results. For the content analysis, 317 titles of classroom training programs and 42 headings at the highest level from the tables of content of online tutorials were collected and coded based on 12 data literacy competencies identified from previous studies. Among classroom training programs, those regarding data processing and analysis competency were offered the most. The highest number of the libraries provided classroom training programs in relation to data management and organization competency. The third most classroom training programs dealt with data visualization and representation competency. However, each of the remaining 9 competencies was covered by only a few classroom training programs, and this implied that classroom training programs focused on the particular data literacy competencies. There were five university libraries that developed and provided their own online tutorials. The analysis of the headings showed that the competencies of data preservation, ethics and data citation, and data management and organization were mainly covered and the difference existed in the competencies stressed by the classroom training programs. For effective RDM training program, it is necessary to understand and support the education of data literacy competencies that researchers need to draw research results, in addition to competencies that university librarians traditionally have taught and emphasized. It is also needed to develop educational resources that support continuing education for the librarians involved in RDM services.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the current conditions of the domestic and foreign curricula in the field of chemical engineering and to draw implications. The results of the study are as follows. Most of the domestic research universities (including non-certified universities) have curricula organized within the scope of the ABEEK certification, which is the minimum standard guide for chemical engineering curricula. However, we are concerned that chemical engineering education in some domestic universities may lack in education quality and program relevance. Graduates from these universities may not have equivalent qualifications as international graduates. It is considered that most of the 12 domestic universities organize their subjects according to the certificate of accreditation standard and to the traditional subjects of chemistry in the 'Department of Chemical Engineering' or 'Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering Chemical and Biological Engineering'. However, due to the increase in the number of overlapping subjects with other majors because of the movement towards academic diversity, the integrity of the chemical engineering curricula is at risk. In addition, after surveying the major and research areas of the department professors, it has been found that there is a shortage of professors who have majored in chemical engineering. Therefore, there is a concern that students may lack understanding of the core principles of chemical engineering. The results of the analysis of the curricula of overseas research universities (including non-certified universities) are as follows. Although the chemical engineering industry in developed countries like the United States and Europe is advancing and changing very quickly, the chemical engineering education in these countries is highly focused on traditional subjects and other related subjects in order to cultivate traditionally trained chemical engineers. The Department of Chemical Engineering at overseas universities still maintains the academic integrity of the chemical engineering field. This is a significant suggestion for our country. On the other hand, domestic universities are changing the name of their chemical engineering major, or even if the name is maintained, they are fusing their curriculum with other majors such as material engineering. Therefore, it is very necessary at this point to start a discussion regarding the integrity of the department of chemical engineering in Korea. We hope that the departments of chemical engineering in domestic universities maintain the integrity of traditional chemical engineering while operating the curriculum within the scope of the standards of the engineering education certification system.
Objectives : This study aimed to identify the group with high risk of suicide in general hospital inpatient by comparing the depression, anxiety, and distress and their clinical characteristics. Methods : The study included all patients admitted to a general hospital between January 2016 and December 2017, and the final 41,249 patients were analyzed. Distress thermometer (DT) and hospital anxiety-depression scale (HADS) were used for emotional state evaluation. Group with high risk of suicide was defined as showing more than 4 in the DT and more than 8 in one of the two subscales (anxiety and depression) of the HADS. Results : Among the subjects, 3,603 patients (8.7%) met the high-risk criteria for suicide. The group with high risk of suicide experienced more severe pain than the control patient group, and it was found that there was more underlying disease. Patients who reported pain showed higher scores than those who reported no pain on the DT and HADS subscales. Conclusions : Group with high risk of suicide showed more severe pain and more underlying disease. Therefore, suicide prevention program specifically targeted for the group with high risk of suicide should be developed according to the risk of the patient evaluated at the time of the admission.

Because of environmental pollution problem, interests in hydrogen energy has been concentrating sharply. Especially in Korea, the market related with fuel cell vehicles and hydrogen refueling stations is increasing actively under the government-led. However, the actual contributions to environmental improvement effect of hydrogen energy is required to be evaluated with representing reality. In this sense, lots of conventional analyzing tools have some limitations to adapt in Korea's situation directly. It is caused by the differences of raw energy market between the US and Korea. That is, most of analytic tools are developed by representing energy market of the US, where can produce variety of raw feed energy sources. Therefore, in this paper, we propose mass balance based numerical analyzing method, which is suitable for the actual hydrogen production process in Korea for exact evaluation of $CO_2$ emission amount in this country. Using proposed method, we has demonstrated reformed hydrogen from natural gas, LPG and naphtha, electrolysis-based hydrogen, and COG-based hydrogen. Furthermore, with the comparison of GREET program analysis results, robustness of numerical analysis method is demonstrated.

With the entry of an aging society, the average life span of accreditation has been extended. Therefore, interest in the appearance of men and women in modern society has increased. It is the wrinkles of the face that can judge the most outwardly. People tend to have various kinds of treatments to have a clean, wrinkle-free and resilient healthy skin regardless of sex. There is a lot of practice of lifting procedures in one of the procedures. A suture using a melting thread is a method of lifting by squeezing it into the skin as a non-incision type centering on a region where the thread can be fixed in the skin by injecting it into the subcutaneous fat layer. To evaluate the lifting efficacy of Cog - type suture for the improvement of skin wrinkles, preclinical experiments were conducted. We developed a wrinkle evaluation program using Labview. Data from preclinical experiments were used at 8 weeks after suturing. The average wrinkle depth was 415.6 mm in the control group. At 8 weeks, the depth of wrinkles was deepened to 888.3mm due to the aging process of the control group. On the other hand, the depth of the wrinkles before surgery was 640.3 mm in the suture group. It was confirmed that the depth of wrinkles decreased to 566.5mm at 8th week after the suture operation.
The purpose of this study is to identify acceptance factors and influencing factors of respondents' adoption of smart IoT technology to companion animal health based on the integrated technology acceptance model. Based on the previous studies, we constructed the hypotheses by defining the technical factors, social factors, control variables, and mediating variables (UTAUT), and set the hypotheses between the independent variables of each factor and the dependent intention. A research model was designed to verify the relationship between variables. We developed questionnaires on the items and verified them through data collected from 494 people. As a result, product design, quality of service, product performance, and quality service of technological factors had a significant effects on performance expectancy and effort expectancy. However, product safety, product function awareness, and product price did not significantly affect performance expectancy and effort expectancy. Social influence had significant effects on cognitive effect, welfare system, and welfare facilities. In conclusion, the comparative analysis of technical factors and social factors showed that social factors have more significant effects on welfare systems and facilities.

This study was conducted to investigate the factors influencing the contraceptive behavior of male and female university students. Data were collected after receiving the written consent of 238 university students in G city during the period from September 22 to November 23 in 2017. Data analysis was performed using the SPSS PASW 18.0 program. The results revealed that 56.7% of the subjects used contraceptives, and 23.9% used condoms. Male students were more exposed to sexual content than female students (t=6.02, p=0.000) and had an open sexual attitude (t=5.38, p=0.000). Female students showed high scores on subjective norms (t=-3.51 p=0.000) and acceptable and positive contraceptive attitudes (t=-4.21, p=0.000). Among factors influencing the contraceptive attitude of males, the subjective norm was 3.6%. Female students had a 25.5% influence on contraceptive attitude, contraception, sexual education frequency, and sexual content exposure. It is suggested that sexual education and sexual counseling programs be developed to form positive attitudes toward contraceptives through iterative research.
