동결융해작용을 받는 암반사면의 안정성해석에 관한 연구 (Study on Stability Analysis of Rock Slope Under Freezing-Thawing Cycle)

  • Rock slopes along the road or railroad are affected by temperature and therefore experienced iterative freezing-thawing process between winter and early spring. The purpose of this study is to analyze the stability of rock slopes which are influenced by the deterioration due to the freezing-thawing. The analysis is the homogenization method which evaluates the strength property of discontinuous rock mass, and as a strength failure criterion, Drucker-Prager failure criterion is used. The deterioration property of real rock is obtained by a freezing-thawing laboratory test of tuff and this property of deterioration is quantitated and used as a basic data of stability analysis for rock mass. To evaluate the deterioration depth due to the freezing-thawing in situ rock slope, one dimensional heat conductivity equation is used and as the result I can find that the depth of which is affected by a temperature. After the freezing-thawing depth of model slope is determined, we analyze the pattern of rock mass stength value of rock slope model which excesses the limit of self-load.

고층고밀 아파트단지의 노후도 평가지표 개발 (A Study on the Evaluating Indicators of the Level of Deterioration in High-rise and high-density Apartments)

  • High-rise and high-density apartment complexes have been built and supplied on a large scale in the 1st period of the New Town project in metropolitan areas since the late 1980s. Now It has become necessary to improve those apartment complexes, which have serious deterioration problems for aging more than about 20 years accompanying simultaneity and a large scale. The purpose of this research is to develop the evaluating indicators to measure the level of deterioration of apartments inclusively and practically in order to regenerate apartments as sustainable residential environments. This study is composed of the following four parts; (a) establishing the conceptual model of evaluation of apartment deterioration, (b) selecting evaluation items, (c) constituting evaluation measurement, and(d)weighting evaluation indicators. First, deterioration of apartments was conceptualized by physical. social, and economical aspects in terms of sustainable development and proposed the conceptual model of hierarchy structure of evaluation of apartment deterioration by literature reviews. Second, evaluating items were selected based on literature reviews of existing indicators and preceding studies about apartments of Korea and foreign countries. The evaluating indicators were identified as a total of 77 evaluating items which were composed of three dimensions and 9 attributes on the basis of the conceptual model. They cover comprehensive scope of the apartment such as unit, building, complex, and site. Third, as the measurement, the 5 point ordinal scale measure was suggested. The evaluating measurement including measure standards, measure methods, and measure contents were developed by each evaluating items. Lastly, the weighting of evaluating indicators was analyzed by AHP method conducted by survey on the expert group. Items were identified as high contributors or low contributors. The weighting of these items could suggest several evaluations according to the situation. The evaluation of the level of deterioration can be done by both total evaluation and a specific field of evaluation. In addition, it is easy to grasp deteriorated attributes or dimensions by providing a radar and bar chart showing evaluation results. These evaluating indicators could be a useful tool to grasp actual methods for the regeneration of apartments.

케이블 공진을 이용한 600V 제어/계측용 꼬임쌍선 차폐 케이블의 열화상태 진단에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Deterioration Diagnosis of 600V Shielded Twisted Pair Control/Measurement Cable using Resonance Frequency)

  • Recent major domestic facilities, such as nuclear power plants, many control cables are installed and are degraded by long-term use, but research on deterioration diagnosis is lacking. In the event of a fault in the cable due to deterioration can be developed into a major accident such as the main plant is stopped, so the deterioration diagnostic techniques of high reliability for the cable is required. In this paper, proposes a methodology using a cable resonance that can effectively diagnose the deterioration of the cable. Prior to the test, we developed a setup for stable measuring the characteristics of the cable and it verified the suitable of the measurement set-up in terms of interactivity and reliability, also measured S-parameters applying verified measurement set-up to the cables that deterioration degree is different. Then, we had amplified the difference in resonance frequency between the healthy state and the deteriorated state using connection in a series of measured S-parameters. In a result from the method, we have verified that the more deteriorate the cables is, the more decrease the resonance frequency is. Measured results are justified by inducing the resonance frequency calculation of the cable from the S- parameters represented by the hyperbolic function formula. VNA(Vector Network Analyzer) for S-parameter measurements used in this study is Agilent E5061B and shielded twisted-pair cables was used for deterioration diagnostic test.

사면의 지반 열화로 인한 안정성 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Evaluation of Stability due to Ground Deterioration of Slope)

  • 사면 구조물은 시간이 경과함에 따라 대상지반에서 각종 열화 현상이 진행되어 내구성의 저하로 인한 붕괴가 발생할 수 있으며, 사용 연한을 감소시키는 결과를 초래하게 된다. 이러한 지반 열화에 따른 사면안정에 대한 접근방안은 지반의 물리적 특성 및 기하학적인 구조에 국한하여 분석하는 기존의 한계 평형 해석과는 또 다른 개념이라 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 사면의 열화 특성과 관련하여 각종 문헌 조사를 통하여 비교분석을 수행하고, 전단강도 저감에 대한 최적의 제안식들로서 지수함수, 로그함수 및 역쌍곡선 함수를 제시하고, 열화에 취약한 양산 단층대의 셰일층에서 붕괴가 발생한 경부고속철도 절토사면을 대상으로 사례분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구에서는 사례분석을 통하여 향후 열화로 인한 사면 안전성과 관련하여 정량적인 평가를 위한 최적의 강도 저하 곡선을 도출하고 한계평형해석에 의한 안정해석을 할 수 있는 접근 방법을 제시하였다.

  • Air voids existed in hardened concrete have an important influence on concrete deterioration such as carbonation, freezing and thawing, and corrosion of embedded steel in concrete. Therefore it is very significant to investigate the pore structure of system(size, number and continuity of air voids) to solve the reason caused concrete deterioration. The purpose of this study is to develop the standard method of measuring air voids which affect properties in hardened concrete using image analyzing system. This paper presents the settlement of rapid and exact experimental method which extracts fine bubbles, calculates the number of air voids, and determines air-void distribution using image analyzing system with computer.

  • In this paper, we studied the diagnostic method of insulation deterioration for 22.9kV CNCV cable using D.C potential decay component. At first, arbitrary D.C high voltage is appeied the CNCV cable for two minutes and switched off in vacuum. And then D.C potential decay components is measured for ten minutes. It is detecting source for cable insulation deterioration that its gradient is. Provisionally, we decided the criterion voltage and select the high voltage meter and S.W.

열전달을 이용한 엔진오일 열화 감지 방법 (A Method for Detecting Engine Oil Deterioration using Heat Transfer)

  • This paper presents a method that the engine oil condition is detected using a natural convection heat transfer in a engine oil. A sensor circuit maintains a constant temperature difference between a heat plate and engine oil for detecting a natural convection heat transfer rate on the constant temperature. The natural convection heat transfer rate is measured by a current through the heat plate of the sensor circuit. The sensor is tested by a fresh oil. 6,000 km and 10,000 km driven oil in the oil temperature range from $20^{\circ}C$ to $100^{\circ}C$. In the experimental result, when the current through the heat plate is altered by variation of a engine oil temperature and flows driven oil more than fresh oil, the sensor could inform a engine oil deterioration to a car driver.

  • To measure treeing, visual measurement with an optical microscope has been used to explain breakdown mechanism by treeing in materials. The conventional direct visual method of tree deterioration observation is difficult to measure in short time processing, and impossible to analyze the deteriorated area by treeing, direction of tree growth, tree patterns etc. In this paper, we have developed a tree-measuring system using image processing for the tree growth, the area of deterioration, and other progresses of treeing. As experimental result, image processing is an effective alternative to direct visual observation method.

  • Current domestic waterproofing market in Korea mainly uses single-ply waterproofing materials comprised of coatings or waterproof sheets and two or more-ply composite waterproofing methods. In order to evaluate these types of composite waterproofing systems, a new test equipment and method that incorporates various deterioration conditions (joint displacement, chemical exposure, water pressure etc) was developed. In a comparison testing, the results showed that flexible type materials have higher response performance towards joint displacement than the hardened material. Furthermore, the importance of securing the stability of the waterproofing method in the vulnerable over-lap joint areas of waterproofing sheets is emphasized.

Corona방전에 의한 유전체의 열화현상 (The Deterioration Phenomena for Dielectrics Causing Corona Discharge)

  • The object of this project is to manifest the mechanism of deterioration phenomena for dielectrics causing corona discharge and applies it for determine the standard corona detection technique. As the results, we observed that corona discharges may occur more strongly around cylindrical shape electrode in air than hemisphere shape electrode in vacuum, so that it depends on effects such as shape of the electrode, moisture, surface coditions, etc. According to observed the deterioration of dielectrics takes place in following stages. At first the attacked surface by an electron avalanche is uniformly eroded; then pits are formed; after that sharp channels are formed which lead to break-down as a treeing. The test are accelerated with higher frequencies by the cylindrical bar shape electrode in the pulse stright detection method more sensitive than Lissajous patterns. Lissajous patterns detection method is simple but usually insensitive and has disadvantage that the magnitude of the individual discharge is not measured.
