In this paper, crack detection method using eigen value analysis is presented. Three methods are used: theoretical analysis, finite element method with the cracked beam elements and finite element method with three dimensional continuum elements. Finite element formulation of the cracked beam element is introduced. Additional term about stress intensity factor based on fracture mechanics theory is added to flexibility matrix of original beam to model the crack. As using calculated stiffness matrix of cracked beam element and mass matrix, natural frequencies are calculated by eigen value analysis. In the case of using continuum elements, the natural frequencies could be calculated by using EDISON CASAD solver. Several cases of crack are simulated to obtain natural frequencies corresponding the crack. The surface of natural frequency is plotted as changing with crack location and depth. Inverse analysis method is used to find crack location and depth from the natural frequencies of experimental data, which are referred by another papers. Predicted results are similar with the true crack location and depth.

The purpose of this paper is to design the metal object detection system for drive inside protection. To do this, we propose the algorithm for designing the color filter that can detect the metal object using fuzzy theory and the algorithm for detecting area of the driver's face using fuzzy skin color filter. Also, by using the proposed algorithm, we propose the algorithm for detecting the metallic object candidate regions. And, the metallic object color filter is then applied to find the candidate regions. Finally, we show the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method through some experiments.
Accurate suppressive jamming is a prominent problem faced by radar equipment. It is difficult to solve signal detection problems for extremely low signal to noise ratios using traditional signal processing methods. In this study, a joint sensing dictionary based compressed sensing and adaptive iterative optimization algorithm is proposed to counter suppressive jamming in information domain. Prior information of the linear frequency modulation (LFM) and suppressive jamming signals are fully used by constructing a joint sensing dictionary. The jamming sensing dictionary is further adaptively optimized to perfectly match actual jamming signals. Finally, through the precise reconstruction of the jamming signal, high detection precision of the original LFM signal is realized. The construction of sensing dictionary adopts the Pei type fast fractional Fourier decomposition method, which serves as an efficient basis for the LFM signal. The proposed adaptive iterative optimization algorithm can solve grid mismatch problems brought on by undetermined signals and quickly achieve higher detection precision. The simulation results clearly show the effectiveness of the method.

Reviews are very important for potential consumer' making choices. They are also used by manufacturers to find problems of their products and to collect competitors' business information. But someone write fake reviews to mislead readers to make wrong choices. Therefore detecting fake reviews is an important problem for the E-commerce sites. Support Vector Machines (SVMs) are very important text classification algorithms with excellent performance. In this paper, we propose a new incremental algorithm based on weight and the extension of Karush-Kuhn-Tucker(KKT) conditions and Convex Hull for online Review Spam Detection. Finally, we analyze its performance in theory.

For long-span bridges with a structural health monitoring (SHM) system, environmental temperature-driven responses are proved to be a main component in measurements. However, anomalous structural behavior may be hidden incomplicated recorded data. In order to receive reliable assessment of structural performance, it is important to study therelationship between temperature and monitoring data. This paper presents an application of the cointegration based methodology to detect anomalies that may be masked by temperature effects and then forecast the temperature-induced deflection (TID) of long-span suspension bridges. Firstly, temperature effects on girder deflection are analyzed with fieldmeasured data of a suspension bridge. Subsequently, the cointegration testing procedure is conducted. A threshold-based anomaly detection framework that eliminates the influence of environmental temperature is also proposed. The cointegrated residual series is extracted as the index to monitor anomaly events in bridges. Then, wavelet separation method is used to obtain TIDs from recorded data. Combining cointegration theory with autoregressive moving average (ARMA) model, TIDs for longspan bridges are modeled and forecasted. Finally, in-situ measurements of Xihoumen Bridge are adopted as an example to demonstrate the effectiveness of the cointegration based approach. In conclusion, the proposed method is practical for actual structures which ensures the efficient management and maintenance based on monitoring data.

In the past decade, Autonomous Vehicle Systems (AVS) have advanced at an exponential rate, particularly due to improvements in artificial intelligence, which have had a significant impact on social as well as road safety and the future of transportation systems. The fusion of light detection and ranging (LiDAR) and camera data in real-time is known to be a crucial process in many applications, such as in autonomous driving, industrial automation and robotics. Especially in the case of autonomous vehicles, the efficient fusion of data from these two types of sensors is important to enabling the depth of objects as well as the classification of objects at short and long distances. This paper presents classification of objects using CNN based vision and Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) fusion in autonomous vehicles in the environment. This method is based on convolutional neural network (CNN) and image up sampling theory. By creating a point cloud of LIDAR data up sampling and converting into pixel-level depth information, depth information is connected with Red Green Blue data and fed into a deep CNN. The proposed method can obtain informative feature representation for object classification in autonomous vehicle environment using the integrated vision and LIDAR data. This method is adopted to guarantee both object classification accuracy and minimal loss. Experimental results show the effectiveness and efficiency of presented approach for objects classification.

According to information theory, non-orthogonal transmission can achieve the multiple-user channel capacity with an onion-peeling like successive interference cancellation (SIC) based detection followed by a capacity approaching channel code. However, in multiple antenna system, due to the unideal characteristic of the SIC detector, the residual interference propagated to the next detection stage will significantly degrade the detection performance of spatial data layers. To overcome this problem, we proposed a modified power-domain non-orthogonal multiple access (P-NOMA) scheme joint designed with space-time coding for multiple input multiple output (MIMO) NOMA system. First, with proper power allocation for each user, inter-user signals can be separated from each other for NOMA detection. Second, a well-designed quasi-orthogonal space-time block code (QO-STBC) was employed to facilitate the SIC-based MIMO detection of spatial data layers within each user. Last, we proposed an optimization algorithm to assign channel coding rates to balance the bit error rate (BER) performance of those spatial data layers for each user. Link-level performance simulation results demonstrate that the proposed time-space-power domain joint transmission scheme performs better than the traditional P-NOMA scheme. Furthermore, the proposed algorithm is of low complexity and easy to implement.

Formation flying is an important technology that enables high cost-effective organization of outer space aircrafts. The ad-hoc wireless network based on direct-sequence ultra-wideband (DS-UWB) techniques is seen as an effective means of establishing wireless communication links between aircrafts. In this paper, based on the theory of matched filter and error bits correction, a hybrid detection algorithm is proposed for realizing multiuser detection (MUD) when the DS-UWB technique is used in the ad-hoc wireless network. The matched filter is used to generate a candidate code set which may contain several error bits. The error bits are then recognized and corrected by an novel error-bit corrector, which consists of two steps: code mapping and clustering. In the former step, based on the modified optimum MUD decision function, a novel mapping function is presented that maps the output candidate codes into a feature space for differentiating the right and wrong codes. In the latter step, the codes are clustered into the right and wrong sets by using the K-means clustering approach. Additionally, in order to prevent some right codes being wrongly classified, a sign judgment method is proposed that reduces the bit error rate (BER) of the system. Compared with the traditional detection approaches, e.g., matched filter, minimum mean square error (MMSE) and decorrelation receiver (DEC), the proposed algorithm can considerably improve the BER performance of the system because of its high probability of recognizing wrong codes. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can almost achieve the BER performance of the optimum MUD (OMD). Furthermore, compared with OMD, the proposed algorithm has lower computational complexity, and its BER performance is less sensitive to the number of users.

With the rapid development of deep neural network theory and application research, the effect of face detection has been improved. However, due to the complexity of deep neural network calculation and the high complexity of the detection environment, how to detect face quickly and accurately becomes the main problem. This paper is based on the relatively simple model of the MTCNN model, using FDDB (Face Detection Dataset and Benchmark Homepage), LFW (Field Label Face) and FaceScrub public datasets as training samples. At the same time of sorting out and introducing MTCNN(Multi-Task Cascaded Convolutional Neural Network) model, it explores how to improve training speed and Increase performance at the same time. In this paper, the dynamic image pyramid technology is used to replace the traditional image pyramid technology to segment samples, and OHEM (the online hard example mine) function in MTCNN model is deleted in training, so as to improve the training speed.

Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) of critical infrastructure comprises a major pillar of maintenance management, shielding public safety and economic sustainability. Although SHM is usually associated with data-driven metrics and thresholds, expert judgement is essential, especially in cases where erroneous predictions can bear casualties or substantial economic loss. Considering that visual inspections are time consuming and potentially subjective, artificial-intelligence tools may be leveraged in order to minimize the inspection effort and provide objective outcomes. In this context, timely detection of sensor malfunctioning is crucial in preventing inaccurate assessment and false alarms. The present work introduces a sensor-fault detection and interpretation framework, based on the well-established support-vector machine scheme for anomaly detection, combined with a coalitional game-theory approach. The proposed framework is implemented in two datasets, provided along the 1st International Project Competition for Structural Health Monitoring (IPC-SHM 2020), comprising acceleration and cable-load measurements from two real cable-stayed bridges. The results demonstrate good predictive performance and highlight the potential for seamless adaption of the algorithm to intrinsically different data domains. For the first time, the term "decision trajectories", originating from the field of cognitive sciences, is introduced and applied in the context of SHM. This provides an intuitive and comprehensive illustration of the impact of individual features, along with an elaboration on feature dependencies that drive individual model predictions. Overall, the proposed framework provides an easy-to-train, application-agnostic and interpretable anomaly detector, which can be integrated into the preprocessing part of various SHM and condition-monitoring applications, offering a first screening of the sensor health prior to further analysis.
