다양한 분야에서 무선 인터넷 서비스의 가능성이 거론되고 있는 요즘, 무선 인터넷을 통한 의료 정보 서비스 또한 관심을 모으고 있다. 모바일 기기를 이용한 의료정보 시스템은 기존 Desktop PC가 가지는 이동성의 제한이라는 단점을 극복하여 이동이 빈번한 의료 정보 사용자에게 정보 이용의 편의성과 신속성을 제공할 것으로 기대된다. 그러나 무선인터넷을 기반으로 하는 모바일 기기는 지속적인 하드웨어의 발전에도 불구하고 정보 처리의 효율성, 무선 네트워크의 불안전성, 보안등의 문제가 지적되고 있다. 의료 정보는 환자의 지극히 개인적인 정보를 취급하는 것으로 환자, 관계 의료진 이외의 사람에게 노출되는 것은 위험스러운 일이라 할 수 있다. 이러한 의료 정보가 진료의 편의성과 신속성, 업무의 효율성을 위하여 모바일 시스템으로 진화하는 경우, 무선 인터넷의 특성에 의한 보안 위협에 노출되게 된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 모바일 원격 의료 정보 시스템을 구현하는 경우 발생할 수 있는 보안 위협에 대처할 수 있는 모바일 인증 시스템을 제안하고 구현하였다. 제안된 시스템은 모바일 원격 의료 정보 시스템의 환자 정보 보호를 위한 적절한 대안이 될 것으로 기대된다.

Although wireless devices are the most suitable device for ubiquitous environment, they have restrictive capacities when using internet services than desktop environments. Therefore this research proposes a wireless internet service method that uses contents-based personalization. The existing websites can easily and promptly access desired news articles and other data through RSS-linked web contents and by the personalization method. The proposed method will make using wireless internet easier while lowering contents production costs. Moreover, personalized mobile web news contents that satisfy the preferences of users can be serviced.

In 21st century as a digital era, visual communication design becomes more important than any other period. Recently, traditional typographic design for the communication with emphasis on the readability and experimental typographic design with emphasis on the expressionism contrary to the traditional concept coexists. There have been experiments on the typography with the establishment of modem art concept in the past: this trend is more obvious since the 1980s with the technological development of desktop computer. In this study, experimental typography works by David Carson who is one of the most representative graphic designers of the 1990s are analyzed in detail, and problems and prospects of this experimental typography in a digital era contrary to the traditional viewpoint we discussed.

Ubiquitous computing called pervasive one is based on the thought of pervading ability of computation in daily life applications. In other words, it aims to include computation in devices such as electronic equipment and automobiles. This has led to disengagement of computers from desktop form. Accordingly, the notice in ubiquitous computing being taken of a world steeped in remote and wireless computer-based-services. Handheld and wearable programmed devices such as sense and control appliances are such devices. This advancement is rapidly moving domestic tasks and life from device-and-human communication to the device-and-device model. This model called Machine to Machine (M2M) has led to acceleration of developments in sciences such as nano-science, bio-science, and information science. As a result, M2M led to appearance of applications in various fields such as, environment monitoring, agricultural, health care, logistics, and business. Since it is envisaged that M2M communications will play a big role in the future in all wireless applications and will be emerged as a progressive linkage for next-generation communications, this paper aims to consider how much M2M architectures can realize ubiquitous computing in daily life applications. This is carried out after acquainting and initiating readers with M2M architectures and arguments for M2M. Some of the applications was not achievable before but are becoming viable owing to emergence of M2M communications.

As today's home-network market grows related researches had been increased and with different interfaces of these products of course there is lack of compatibility between these systems. So we need some extensionable managing system which integrates and manages these systems. In this paper, we designed framework that integrates and manages network system and also implemented Home Gateway using JMX on Sensor-network environment. It may manage each target with modulization and through the connection interface we make allowance compatibility and extensionability between existing systems. Through this researches, we implemented the Home-network integrated managing system which can manage and monitor with PDA or RDP(remote desktop PC).

Nowadays, GIS, as multi-discipline information system, is closely linked with GPS application in conjunction with GIS-T or Logistics GIS. With this R&D trend. CPS/GIS application system for AVL is newly developed in this study. This AVL is designed and implemented by using pure Java computing technology towards com ing Car-equipped wireless Internet PC age, and main features of Java are included at this system: Platform independence, Multi-thread processing, and Object-oriented paradigm. While, because core modules of this AVL are based on GIS spatial engine, unlike other commercial AVLs, large spatial database problem handling digital image/spatial information and attribute information and direct access problem of GIS data is easily dealt with. this system can directly access external database by using JDBC: MS Access for desktop version and Oracle for W/S version. Finally, it is thought that Java-based AVL, one of CPS/CIS applications, can be easily extended into other prospective GIS applications: Land surveyor supporting system, Flight tracking system, 3D facility management system with CPS, and so forth.

The information & Communication industry including internet is rapidly developing and expanding, which integrates our living space and provides diversity. Internet provides users with an variety of real-time information through networking. Also the functions and services of Geographic Information Systems are on a changing trend providing services for various organizations and users dispersed in different networks. It is necessary to understand that GIS is available not only on a desktop and server, but in any place where the network is connected using the web. Recently, Internet GIS for the search and subscription of spatial informations through the internet is receiving an active research field. So. this study aims to apply the Gas Disaster Management to the internet and develop the internet GIS techniques which make an effective utilization of GIS functions using MapObjects IMS, SDE, and Oracle.

In this paper, we describe application service development for secure land and marine transport based on CSD (Conveyance Security Device) systems. Based on CSD systems, we present application service and security service according to relevant standards as well as test procedure of developed services. Exploiting temperature, moisture, impact sensors, state monitoring function of container freight was developed to prevent disaster during transportation in addition to security function with CSD. For confidentiality of messages exchanged among application service entity and CSD systems, Encryption and decryption functions going by RC5 and AES-128 algorithms were implemented at desktop PC and 8 bit CPU environments, respectively. Measuring the elapsed time during encryption and decryption shows that two algorithms are allowable for the application service.

The purpose of present study was to develop teaching-learning materials based virtual reality technology(VRT), and to examine the effect of it on the knowledge achievement of biology. Authoring tool of virtual reality(VR) was 3D Webmaster made in Superscape Ltd., United Kingdom. Educational materials was developed for the structure and function of eye of life field in the 10th science. It was learner-directed and interactive educational material using the Web-based and desktop VR. The result showed a meaningful improvement on the achievement. Using 3D VR shows the potential of available education media in the next generation as science teaching-aided materials, which especially was efficient in the understanding and perception of abstract or difficult to direct experience learning contents.

A framework for structural health monitoring (SHM) systems is presented utilizing a recent 3.5 generation mobile telecommunication technology, HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access). It may be effectively applied to monitoring bridges, cut-slopes, and other facilities located in rural areas where the conventional Internet service is not readily available, since HSDPA is currently commercialized in 86 countries to make the Internet access possible in anywhere the mobile phone service is available. The proposed SHM framework is also incorporating remote desktop software to have remote control/operation of the SHM systems. The feasibility of the proposed framework has been demonstrated by field tests on a highway bridge in operation. One can expect that fast advances in the mobile telecommunication technology will further enhance the performance of the SHM network using the proposed framework for bridges and other facilities located in remote areas without the conventional wired Internet service.
