Multiband Microstrip-Fed Right Angle Slot Antenna Design for Wireless Communication Systems

  • This paper presents a novel multiband microstrip-fed right angle slot antenna design technique for multiple independent frequency bands. The new technique uses various slot sizes at various appropriate positions. We first propose a tri-band slot antenna consisting of three right angle slots. Then, a quad-band slot antenna is developed with four right angle slots which achieves slant ${\pm}45^{\circ}$ linear polarization, omnidirectional pattern coverage, good antenna gain, and acceptable impedance bandwidths over all the operating frequency range. Moreover, an open-circuited tuning stub is introduced to achieve good impedance matching. Both proposed antennas are designed on a ground plane of RT/duroid 5880 substrate with a thickness of 1.575 mm. The real measurable results show that the desired frequencies used in wireless communication systems, namely, WLAN and WiMax, are efficiently achieved.

  • 본 논문은 차동 모드로 동작하는 메타 재질 구조를 바탕으로 평형 필터 설계를 제안한 것이다. 이 메타 재질 구조는 차동 모드 동작에서는 Composite Right/Left-Handed(CRLH) 메타 재질로 동작하여 필터 특성을 갖지만, 공통 모드에서는 통과대역이 차단되는 성질을 갖는 평형 CRLH 단위 셀로 구성되었다. 이러한 차동모드 특성을 갖는 단위 셀을 직렬로 4단을 연결하여 필터를 구성하였으며, 제안된 메타 재질의 특성은 차동 모드 평형 필터로 동작하고, 공통 모드에서는 차단되는 특성을 실험 결과를 통하여 확인하였다. 메타 재질을 이용한 평형 필터는 대역폭이 960 MHz~1000 MHz, 4.1dB의 삽입손실을 갖는 특성을 얻었다.

A study of the round Variation Design Brassiere Pattern

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the applied brassiere pattern of women which are fitting for 75A. The constructing of this experimental brassiere were lower cup, upper cup, front panel and U-wing as well as a full cup embcing the entire breasts. Basing on the bra model from domestic experiment results, development of an applied design, round side type pattern, has been suggested. Thus, suggesting the round variation design bra, which is an applied design based on the basic model based on the breast volume. Based on the sizes that are in reference to Size Korea (2004) and related previous researches, the basic model that has been experimented with 11.4% polyurethane and 88.6% Nylon as the materials, has been selected as the model of research. This takes 75A, the size of which is set according to the underbust circumference and the breasts circumference, as the basic model. It is an application in terms of design, and there is no change to the cup volume or size because it has been moved only from the cutting line. The applied design changes the right side of the lower cup into an easily-movable form and attaches it to the upper cup, and the lower cup takes the right part of the upper cup to form a cup shape of round variation design. It also changes basic straight form of the wings, and alters them into U-shape.

Evaluation of likes and Dislikes during Visual Stimuli by Electroence phalography

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of electroencephalogram (EEG) during emotional occurrence of likes and dislikes in humans subjected to visual stimuli. Fifteen healthy male subjects participated in the study. Portrayals of females and cars on a visual screen, one photographic display at a time. were used as the stimulus. The subjects, with their EEGs concomitantly monitored, were asked to record their likes and dislikes for each portrayal of a total of 50 sequential displays. The results indicated that beta ($\beta$)=wave was more prevalent with dislikes than likes, and the arousal level was higher when dislikes predominated over likes, implying that more cerebral information processing activity was involved in answering dislikes than likes. In the case of cars, the difference between likes and dislikes was focused within a frequency band of 15-20 Hz in the right cerebral hemisphere. Our findings suggest that the activity in the right brain predominates with increases in negative emotion.

  • 지적재산권보호를 위한 국제협약은 범세계적이거나 지역적차원에서 이미 한 세기 전부터 존재하여 왔다. 우리나라도 국제협약에 적극적으로 가입하고 있다. 이후 국제협약을 어기고 모방사례가 계속 발생시 국가 신인도 문제뿐만 아니라 국제 무역 시장에서 활동하는데 어려움을 겪게 될 상황이 예견된다. 이에 따라 포장디자인의 지적재산권제도의 국내외 현황조사와 모방사례를 분석하고 지적재산권제도의 이해도와 관심도 연구조사를 통하여 포장디자인의 지적재산권 보호제도의 중요성을 인식시키고 WTO체제하에서의 패키지디자인 지적재산권 보호 방안을 연구하는데 본 논문은 주력하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 인트라넷을 이용한 기업의 디자인 정보공유시스템 디자인 구축과정을 롯데백화점 디자인실의 사례를 통해 살펴보았다. 기업의 인트라넷의 온라인시스템을 구축할 때의 요구사항과 필요기능을 제시하였고, 핵심기능에 대한 구현을 제시하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 새로운 개념의 정립이나 기반의 발견에 있는 것이 아니라, 개방성에 의해 사용이 편리한 인터넷 환경을 조직의 기반 디자인 정보공유시스템 구축에 적용하는 인트라넷 개념을 사례를 통하여 구현의 효과와 구축방법을 제안함에 있다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 패키지디자인의 지적재산권보호제도의 보호방안을 마련하기 위한 보호제도 현황분석과 분쟁사례연구를 통한 분석과 각종 통계자료 제시, 국내외 패키지디자인의 지적재산권 침해 모방사례 분석 및 소비들과 관련 패키지디자인 업무 종사자들의 실증적 설문조사 분석을 통하여 실질적인 보호 방안을 연구하고 제시하고 있다.

  • Recently, the point of view about housing environment in the city has changed from the traditional point of view of the center of housing to the subject of land- utilization-control for interaction of buildings. Right of light is the center of this issue in other words. Also many interests about the beauties of the city have increasing centering around Europe etc. This is to change a city design into the characteristic design from the exiting uniform design. As if reflect this situation, recently we are setting up the night illumination and constructing a building which acted as Land Mark like the Jong-Ro Tower. And Apartment Housing was being built various form deviate from a existing standardized form and skyline. Existing studies about sunshine of Apartment Housing have dealt with just about a standardized Apartment Housing form. So this study analyzed a recently increasing interest for Right of light and change of sunshine environment on Apartment Housing which have a various skyline form.

거주자들의 참여 디자인 방법에 관한 연구 - 공동주택 입주시점의 개조행위를 통한 - (A Study on the Residents' Participation Design according to the Remodeling right before Moving in Apartments)

  • This research alms to understand the residents' actual conditions and reasons for remodeling in order to search for the desirable participation design methods, under the assumption that the remodeling of apartments by their current residents is a problem. The subjects of this research are residents of mixed-used apartments supplied via the fitting form housing supply methods recently. The results are shown below. First, the reasons for remodeling by the current residents we expansion of Interior space and change in interior atmosphere. Positive participation of the residents in the design decision is high and this remodeling problem is easily solved. Second, based on the Habraken's SAR theory, supports units and variable units were separated and in each process rational and systematic design methodologies according to the role and responsibility of the residents were observed. Third, considering the great level of remodeling right before moving in, there is a need for the variable housing supply methods of residents to easily participate in the design, construction, and supply of the apartments. Through the participation of the residents In the apartment design process will not only solve the problem of repeated apartment remodeling, but also accommodate the various needs of the residents.

두뇌활용영역에 따른 디자인 사고 유형 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on Analysis of Design Thinking Type based on Brain Conjugation Area)

  • 본 연구에서는 디자인 사고 과정에서 디자이너의 시각적 표현도구 중 하나인 '에스키스(esquisse)'를 분석하였다. 결과물 이미지의 유사성에 근거하여 F.G.I를 통해 M, N, O, P, Q 5가지 유형으로 분류하였으며, Ned Herrmann의 두뇌 4분할 이론에 근거한 두뇌선호도검사(HBDI)를 통해 두뇌활용영역의 선호유형을 분류하였다. 분류된 5가지 에스키스 유형과 이에 따른 두뇌유형의 비교 대조분석을 통해 상관관계를 찾아내어 디자인 사고 유형을 정의하였다. 구조적인 좌뇌형(M), 감성적인 변연계형(N), 시각적인 우뇌형(O), 평면표현을 선호하는 우뇌형(P), 텍스트표현을 선호하는 우뇌형(Q)의 5가지 디자인 사고 유형을 통해 디자이너의 다양한 성향과 특징을 분석하는 것이 가능하였으며, 또한 두뇌의 결핍영역을 보완시켜 창의적인 결과물을 도출해낼 방법을 찾아내는 연구의 기틀을 마련하였다.

조선시기 궁궐건축 꺾음부의 구조와 그 변화 -맞배직교형에서 팔작직교형으로- (A Study on the Structure and Transition of Corner-connections of Palace Architecture in Joseon Dynasty -From Gable Roofs Meeting at Right Angle to Hipped and Gable Roofs Meeting at Right Angle-)

  • This study is about the structure and transition of orthogonal design of palace architectures in Joseon Dynasty. The results are as follows. First, Changdeokgung and Changgyeonggung Palaces' corridors, and their architectures seen in the Court Documentary Paintings have early Joseon style in the corner-connections. Their roof shape in the corner is gable roof. Generally, gable roof has direction. Besides, it is easy to extend gable sides. Second, Corridor of Gyeongbokgung Palace has hipped and gable roofs with corner eaves. It was popular during the late Joseon Dynasty. On the other hand, it is impossible to extend any sides of those roofs since they have roof faces in their four sides. Instead, they have completeness. That's why their aesthetic appeal exhibits more pleasing than gable roofs. Third, corner-connections of palace architecture shows evidences and traces of the transition from gable roofs meeting at right angle in the early Joseon to hipped and gable roofs meeting at right angle with corner eaves in the late Joseon. Also, the corner-connections with corner eaves were usually used even in the attached architectures.

  • This is an interior design for a furniture & lighting design exhibition. The concept of design is to secure the smooth flow planning of an audience and effective direction of an exhibit Design content include 1) installation(passage of light) to guide an audience from entrance to right side of the exhibition space to prohibit the flow dispersion and keep smooth continual circulation flow plan 2)image-wall to introduce exhibition 3)installation to help the global understanding of exhibit 4)exhibition stand design considering proper height of audience's eye.
