Purpose: This study was to evaluate corneal topography, contrast sensitivity and ocular response of a RGP, back surface aspherical contact lens compared with a spherical contact lens. Methods: A total 37 subjects were fitted with a spherical lens in right eye and an aspherical in the left eye and were evaluated for changes in corneal topography and contrast sensitivity over a 2-month period. Results: Thirty-four of 37 subjects completed the 2-month study. The corneal topography did not show differences between spherical and aspherical RGP lenses. The eyes fitted with the aspherical lenses demonstrated a greater reduction in contrast sensitivity compared with their spherical counterparts under photopic condition. Subjects preferred comfort and ocular responses provided by the spherical lens. Conclusions: Corneal topography when comparing spherical and back surface aspherical RGP lenses did not show any significant difference in the subjects. Spherical RGP lens yields better contrast sensitivity and preference than aspherical RGP lens at photopic condition. Further investigation of aberrations induced by contact lens design is warranted to explain the observed differences in visual performance.
Purpose - Over recent years, we have concerned about safety and quality on food products because of delivery complexity. The dependence of foreign food products escalate supply of products. And there are often negligent accident of marine and agricultural products. Therefore, the complexity increases the importance of safety on food and information quality for consumers. In spite of the interest augmentation of various interested parties, there is decrease in reliability and effectiveness, if it would be established without the right directivity. For the study, we tried to examine the first considerations the point of - view in service environment and information quality with accepting and diffusing the Traceability System. Then, we tried to verify the relationships between the factors of TS and the determinants of behavior decision. Next, we made efforts to find the mutual relationship among distributors, producers, consumers and the other prerequisite factors from the point of view in service environment and information quality in order to operate effectively the information perspective and system. Research design, data, and methodology - For the purpose of this study, the samples of consumers were targeted to Traceability System, and 661 people have been investigated. Through theoretical discussion of previous research, nine hypotheses were established, the influence of Continuous User Intention in TS. In order to test the hypotheses, a survey had conducted for 661 consumers as opinion leaders in their 20s-60s as data, and structural equation modeling was used. The difference analysis between Agricultural and Marine Products in TS; SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0 were used for statistical analysis. Results - The major findings from this study were as follow; all factors of information quality excluding completeness and a social-impact had effects on the ease of use; all factors excluding understand ability in information quality and a social-impact had effects on the usefulness; completeness and social-impact had effects on perceived value; the ease of use had effects on usefulness and perceived value; usefulness had effects on perceived value and the intention of continuous use. From the results of different analysis, the CPLT(Completeness) factor has positive effects on Easy of USE and PV(Perceived Value) strongly in agricultural products. On the other hand, Social Duty has positive effects on Easy of Use strongly in marine products. Conclusion - In the age of information overflowing, TS will be a burden for users if it places too much emphasis upon accessibility. To accept and diffuse TS safely, therefore, Information System should be settled first into initial market formation. In addition, if TS elements are considered in conjunction with information factors and user environment, the acceptance and diffusion of TS would make synergy effect, even better. That is, this study contributes to the acceptance and diffusion of Traceability System. Accordingly, information quality will be settled into initial market formation. Also, social-impact element will be considered in conjunction with information quality's factors, and it will make synergy effect.
There are frequent accidents by chemicals during laboratory experiments and pilot plant and reactor operations. It is necessary to find and comprehend relevant information to prevent accidents before starting synthesis experiments. In the process design stage, reaction information is also necessary to prevent runaway reactions. Although there are various sources available for synthesis information, including the Internet, it takes long time to search and is difficult to choose the right path because the substances used in each synthesis method are different. In order to solve these problems, we propose an intelligent synthetic path search system to help researchers shorten the search time for synthetic paths and identify hazardous intermediates that may exist on paths. The system proposed in this study automatically updates the database by collecting information existing on the Internet through Web scraping and crawling using Selenium, a Python package. Based on the depth-first search, the path search performs searches based on the target substance, distinguishes hazardous chemical grades and yields, etc., and suggests all synthetic paths within a defined limit of path steps. For the benefit of each research institution, researchers can register their private data and expand the database according to the format type. The system is being released as open source for free use. The system is expected to find a safer way and help prevent accidents by supporting researchers referring to the suggested paths.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the retirement pension system on workers' retirement income security and job commitment, and to verify the mediating effect of corporate welfare satisfaction in the relationship between the retirement pension system's retirement income security and job commitment. Employees of domestic K-company, which have been implementing the retirement pension system since 2011, were surveyed, and 403 copies of the final data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0. The analysis results are as follows. First, as the sub-factors of the retirement income security, the guarantee of the retirement benefits right and the income replacement rate had a significant positive(+) effect on job commitment. Second, as sub-factors of the retirement income security, the income replacement rate and customized retirement design had a significant positive(+) effect on corporate welfare satisfaction. Third, corporate welfare satisfaction had a significant positive(+) effect on job commitment. Fourth, it was found that the relationship between the income replacement rate and job commitment, which are sub-factors of retirement income security, is mediated by diversity and the level of benefits, sub-factors of corporate welfare satisfaction. Based on the results of this study, it was confirmed that the implementation of the retirement pension system enhances the employee's job commitment and corporate welfare satisfaction, and is also important for corporate management.
Purpose - This study analyses the excepted requirement and burden of proof of the carrier due to unseaworthiness through comparison between the marine transport contract and marine insurance contract. Design/methodology - This study uses the legal analytical normative approach. The juridical approach involves reviewing and examining theories, concepts, legal doctrines and legislation that are related to the problems. In this study a literature analysis using academic literature and internet data is conducted. Findings - The burden of proof in case of seaworthiness should be based on presumed fault, not proved fault. The burden of proving unseaworthiness/seaworthiness should shift to the carrier, and should be exercised before seeking the protections of the law or carriage contract. In other words, the insurer cannot escape coverage for unfitness of a vessel which arises while the vessel is at sea, which the assured could not have prevented in the exercise of due diligence. The insurer bears the burden of proving unseaworthiness. The warranty of seaworthiness is implied in hull, but not protection and indemnity policies. The 2015 Act repeals ss. 33(3) and 34 of MIA 1906. Otherwise the provisions of the MIA 1906 remain in force, including the definition of a promissory warranty and the recognition of implied warranties. There is less clarity about the position when the source of the loss occurs before the breach of warranty but the actual loss is suffered after the breach. Nonetheless, by s.10(2) of the 2015 Act the insurer appears not to be liable for any loss occurring after the breach of warranty and before there has been a remedy. Originality/value - When unseaworthiness is identified after the sailing of the vessel, mere acceptance of the ship does not mean the party waives any claims for damages or the right to terminate the contract, provided that failure to comply with the contractual obligations is of critical importance. The burden of proof with regards to loss of damage to a cargo caused by unseaworthiness is regulated by the applicable law. For instance, under the common law, if the cargo claimant alleges that the loss or damage has been caused by unseaworthiness, then he has the burden of proof to establish the followings: (i) that the vessel was unseaworthy at the beginning of the voyage; and that, (ii) that the loss or damage has been caused by such unseaworthiness. In other words, if the warranty of seaworthiness at the inception of the voyage is breached, the breach voids the policy if the ship owner had prior knowledge of the unseaworthy condition. By contrast, knowingly permitting the vessel to break ground in an unseaworthy condition denies liability only for loss or damage proximately caused by the unseaworthiness. Such a breach does not, therefore, void the entire policy, but only serves to exonerate the insurer for loss or damage proximately caused by the unseaworthy condition.

Change orders that occur frequently during the construction phase, af ect the construction performance in terms of cost, time, quality, safety and environment, and place a huge burden for stakeholders of given projects. This study analyzed the causes of change orders and their impact on the basis of 721 cases and a questionnaire of 164 domestic U.S. military construction participants in a total of 24 U.S. military projects. Important factors for change orders in the US military construction projects were engineering change due to design errors (348 cases, 48.3%), user requests change(86 cases, 11.9%), and different site conditions (69 cases, 9.6%). In addition, due to the change orders, construction cost increased by 6.56% on average and construction period was extended by 21.1% compared to the original schedule. As a result, it is anticipated that domestic construction companies can obtain a better understanding of change orders and construction performance, which may be difficult due to accessibility and limitations to military facilities. Also, it is proposed a successor study that guides in the right direction for the U.S. Military Construction.

Objective : This study investigated the effect of intensive weight shift training (IWST) on the ability to balance in a sitting posture of children with spastic cerebral palsy (SCP). Methods : One child with spastic diplegia participated in this study for a total of 8 weeks using the ABA experimental design. For the pre-intervention period (A1), general physical therapy (GPT) for children with SCP was performed. The intervention period (B1 and B2), GPT and IWST were conducted for children with SCP, and GPT was conducted again for the post-intervention period (A'1 and A'2). Trunk control capacity was measured using the Korean Trunk Control Measurement Scale (TCMS-K) and Biorescue (RM Ingenierie, France). Results : All TCMS-K variables increased from A1 to B2, and decreased from B2 to A'2. The total area with limit of stability (LOS) increased from A1 to B2, and decreased from B2 to A'2. The ratio of the left/right (Lt/Rt) and anterior/posterior (Ant/Post) LOS area was closer to 1, meaning symmetry, in B2 than in A1. The ratio of the Lt/Rt LOS area decreased further from 1 in A'2 than in B2. The ratio of the Ant/Post LOS area was closer to 1 in A'2 than in B2. Conclusion : IWST had a positive effect on the improvement of balance in the sitting posture of a child with SCP. The results suggest that IWST might help to improve the balance abilities of children with SCP for independent sitting, postural control, and activities of daily living.

The behavior of the 3 hinged precast arch structure was investigated by comparing field measurements with numerical analyses performed for precast lining arch structures, which are widely used for the open-cut tunnel. According to the field measurements, the maximum vertical displacement occurred at the crown with upward displacements during the backfilling up to the crown of the arch and downward displacements at the backfill height above the crown. The final crown displacement was 19 mm upward from the original position. The horizontal displacement at the sidewall, which had a maximum horizontal displacement, occurred inward of the arch when compacting the backfill up to the crown and returned to the original position after completing the backfill construction. According to the analysis of displacement measurements, economical design is expected to be possible for precast arch structures compared to rigid concrete structures due to ground-structure interactions. Duncan model gave good results for the estimation of displacements and deformed shape of the tunnel according to the numerical analyses comparing with field measurements. The earth pressure coefficients calculated from the numerical analyses were 0.4 and 0.7 for the left and the right side of the tunnel respectively, which are agreed well with the eccentric load acting on the tunnel due to topographical condition and actual field measurements.
Implant treatment, which was first attempted in fully edentulous patients, is now widely used in partially edentulous, and a single tooth missing patients. Moreover, implant treatment has become an essential treatment modality in modern dentistry. The material of fabricating implant prostheses has also become more diverse than before, one of which is the use of high-performance polymers. The frequency of using high-performance polymers, which have been used in the medical field, is also increased in the dental field compared to the past. In the first case, a PEKK abutment and a PFG crown (cement-screw-retaining type) were fabricated in the lower left second premolar, and in the second case, a PEKK abutment and a monolithic zirconia crown (cement-screw-retaining type) were fabricated in the missing upper left first molar, and in the third case two PEKK abutments and a splinted PFM crowns (cement-screw-retaining type) were fabricated and connected to the upper right first and second molar implants. Through these procedures the patients obtained esthetically and functionally satisfactory results after 4 years of follow-up.
The purpose of this study was to compare the immediate effect of EMS (electrical muscle stimulation) on rectus femoris thickness during resisted knee extension exercise in healthy adults. This experiment was conducted on 20 healthy adults as pretest-posttest nonequivalent one group design. The subject's 1RM of both knee extension was measured indirectly using an elastic band, and the knee extension resistance exercise using an elastic band was applied to high intensity (80% of 1RM) on the right leg and low intensity (50% of 1RM with EMS) on the left leg, which were applied with 5 sets. Muscle measurements were performed on the rectus femoris (1/2 site, 1/4 site) using ultrasonography before and after exercise. There was a statistically significant difference on the thickness of the rectus femoris in low intensity exercise of the elastic band applied with EMS between pre-test and post-test (p<.05). The results of this study showed that elastic band low intensity exercise combined with EMS had an immediate effective in increasing the thickness of rectus femoris. Based on this result, it is also necessary to verify the effectiveness of intervention methods incorporating low-intensity resistance exercises applying EMS to elderly who cannot exercise high-intensity resistance training in the future, and to develop exercise programs for various body parts.
