  • Objectives: The study investigated the difficulties experienced by endodontics researchers around the world in conducting studies and writing papers. Materials and Methods: A survey consisting of 18 questions on the difficulties experienced by endodontics researchers in performing studies and writing papers was e-mailed to academics in the field of endodontics working at 202 universities. The independent risk factors were analyzed using binary logistic regression at a significance level of 0.05. Results: A total of 581 individuals (10.7%) agreed to participate in the study. Almost half the participants (48.2%) reported that they had received some type of training in conducting studies and writing papers. In response to the question, "Do you get help from a statistician to perform the statistical analyses of your studies?," 77.1% answered "yes." Around 40% of the participants stated that the need to obtain ethical approval negatively affected their desire to conduct studies. The participants' regions had no effect on the reported difficulties associated with writing papers in English or conducting statistical analyses (p > 0.05). Most participants (81.8%) reported difficulties in writing the Discussion section, regardless of their region, academic degrees, or years of experience. Conclusions: The participants stated they experienced difficulties in many areas, such as conducting statistical analyses, finding new ideas, and writing in English. Engaging in a detailed examination of ethics committee rules, expanding biostatistics education, increasing the number of institutions providing research funding, and increasing the number of endodontics journals can increase the enthusiasm of endodontics researchers to publish papers.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the research trends of elementary mathematics education with regard to the topics, methods, subjects, and mathematical contents of such research. For this purpose, the papers published in domestic journals during the recent 5 years (2004-2009) were analyzed. A total of 383 papers from 8 professional journals were analyzed with the 4 criteria. First, the frequent research topics included instructional design and methods, learners' perspectives and abilities, and analysis of curriculum and textbooks in order. Second, qualitative research methodology was used twice as many as quantitative one. Whereas a survey was the most frequent quantitative research method, content analysis and case study were for qualitative methods. Third, research subjects included mainly typical students, specifically fifth and sixth graders. Papers dealing with lower graders or low-achievers as well as pre-service teachers were rare. Lastly, whereas the research on geometry as well as number and operations was active, that of measurement as well as probability and statistics was not. On the basis of these results, this paper includes several implications for the future research direction in elementary mathematics education.

  • Most of the researchers establish research directions to conduct the study of new fields by getting advice from experts or through the papers of experts. The existing academic data search services provide paper information by field but do not provide experts by field. Therefore, users should decide experts by field using the searched papers by themselves. In this paper, we design and implement an expert search system by discipline through big data processing based on papers that have been published in the academic societies. The proposed system utilizes distributed big data storage systems to store and manage large papers. We also discriminate experts and analyze data related to the experts by using distributed big data processing technologies. The processed results are provided through web pages when a user searches for experts. The user can get a lot of helps for the research of a particular field since the proposed system recommends the experts of the corresponding research field.

  • Objectives This report aimed to review literatures using extracorporeal shock wave with syndrome differentiation theory. Methods By March 3, 2020, five foreign electronic databases (PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, EMBASE, CAJ) and six Korean medical electronic databases (KMBASE, KISTI, KISS, NDSL, DBpia, RISS) were reviewed with the key word 'extracorporeal shock wave' and 'syndrome differentiation'. We did not impose restrictions on age, gender, treatment methods, duration, results and the design of the paper. Results Twelve papers met the inclusion criteria. Seven papers used extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy with syndrome differentiation theory and six out of seven papers treated urologic stones using extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy. The other five papers used extracorporeal shock wave therapy with syndrome differentiation theory and four of them treated musculoskeletal disorders. However, the data of the characteristics of extracorporeal shock wave was insufficient. Conclusions After thorough review, it is considered to be meaningful to treat urologic stones and musculoskeletal disorders using extercorporeal shock wave with syndrome differentiation theory. However, some of the literatures were limited in their feasibility and reliability in terms of research design. In addition, the data regarding the strength of the extracorporeal shock wave applied on each acupoints was insufficient. Therefore, further study on the use of extracorporeal shock wave on acupoints should be conducted.

  • The importance of color is increasing in modern life and we call such present age that is color age. These day that all areas of life are being getting fashionize, ordinary people as well as design specialist are required of culture and knowledge about color. Color is important factor of marketing because ability that color appeals to human's sensitivity is bigger than form. Color design education is important curriculum at liberal arts course and in special design training course. Color expresses by hue, value and chroma but design spot is using mainly hue and tone color system. Therefore, it is very important that educate tone concept in color design education But research of hue and tone color system is insufficient in domestic. We educate foreign color system and use mainly imported color paper. When think influence that increase of color, we must develop hue and tone color system in suitable for color design education and plan the color paper that conform to it. This research designed usable "Hue and Tone Color System 253" for general color design education. Also I designed 121 color papers for primary grade, 181 color papers for intermediate grade, 253 color papers for higher grade of color design education as specific practical use of "Hue and Tone Color System 253".or System 253".
