The material analysis of an offshore structure is generally conducted in the contract design phase for the price quotation of a new offshore project. This analysis is conducted manually by an engineer, which is time-consuming and can lead to inaccurate results, because the data size from previous projects is too large, and there are so many materials to consider. In this study, the piping materials in an offshore structure are analyzed for contract design using a big data framework. The big data technologies used include HDFS (Hadoop Distributed File System) for data saving, Hive and HBase for the database to handle the saved data, Spark and Kylin for data processing, and Zeppelin for user interface and visualization. The analyzed results show that the proposed big data framework can reduce the efforts put toward contract design in the estimation of the piping material cost.
A large body of previous studies investigated mathematical tasks by analyzing the design process prior to lessons or textbooks. While researchers have revealed the significant roles of mathematical tasks within written curricular, there has been a call for studies about how mathematical tasks are implemented or what is experienced and learned by students as enacted curriculum. This article proposes a mathematical task analytic framework based on a holistic definition of tasks encompassing both written tasks and the process of task enactment. We synthesized the features of the mathematical tasks and developed a task analytic framework with multiple dimensions: breadth, depth, bridging, openness, and interaction. We also applied the scoring rubric to analyze three multiplication tasks to illustrate the framework by its five dimensions. We illustrate how a series of tasks are analyzed through the framework when students are engaged in multiplicative thinking. The framework can provide important information about the qualities of planned tasks for mathematics instruction (proactive) and the qualities of implemented tasks during instruction (reactive). This framework will be beneficial for curriculum designers to design rich tasks with more careful consideration of how each feature of the tasks would be attained and for teachers to transform mathematical tasks with the provision of meaningful learning activities into implementation.
Disturbance observer(DOB) based controller design is one of the most popular methods in the field of motion control. In this paper, a generalized disturbance compensation framework, called as robust internal-loop compensator(RIC) is introduced and an advanced design method of DOB is proposed based on the RIC. Mixed sensitivity optimization problem, which is the main issue of DOB design, is solved through the parameterization of DOB in the RIC framework. Different from conventional methods, Q-filter is separated in the mixed sensitivity optimization problem and the systematic design law for the DOB is proposed. This guarantees the robustness and optimality of the DOB and also enables the design for unstable plants.

This paper proposes the concept and the general framework of the risk-based seismic design. Because earthquakes and the behaviors of structures are very unpredictable, probabilistic seismic design methods have been proposed after deterministic design methods. Considering these changes, we can find that the important point of seismic design is not the structural behavior itself, but the consequence of structural behavior under possible earthquakes. Risk-based seismic design can tell these consequences under any earthquakes. In this paper, structural confidences are considered by using fragility curve, and risk is modeled by failure probability and consequence-property damage cost, casualty cost.
The consideration of constructability issues at the design stage can lead to improved construction performance with smooth project delivery and savings in time and money. Empirical studies demonstrate the value obtained by integrating construction knowledge with the building design process, and its benefits for owners, contractors and designers. However, it is still a challenge to implement the concept into current design practice. There is a need for a decision support tool to aid designers in reviewing their design constructability, deploying current technological tools, such as BIM. Such tools are beneficial at the conceptual design stage when there is a room to improve the design significantly with less incurred cost. This research investigates how current process- and object-oriented models can be used to assess design constructability. It proposes a BIM-based model using embedded information within the design environment to conduct the assessment. The modelling framework is demonstrated in four key parts; namely, the conceptual design model, the constructability assessment model, the assessment process model and the decision-making phase. Each is associated with a set of components and functions that contribute towards the targeted constructability assessment outcomes. The proposed framework is the first to combine a numerical assessment system and a rule-based system, allowing for both quantitative and qualitative approaches. The modelling framework and its implementation through a prototype are described in this paper. It is believed that this framework is the first to enable users to transfer their construction knowledge and experience directly into a design platform linked to BIM models. The assessment criteria can be customised by the users who can reflect their own constructability preferences into various specialised profiles that can be added to the constructability assessment model. It also allows for the integration of the assessment process with the design phase, facilitating the optimisation of constructability performance from the early design stage.
A Carbon Fiber Composite (CFC) framework was designed for a small lightweight space camera. According to the distribution characteristics of each optical element in the optical system, CFC (M40J) was chosen to accomplish the design of the framework. TC4 embedded parts were used to solve the low accuracy of the CFC framework interface problem. An integrated optimization method and the optimization strategy which combined a genetic global optimization algorithm with a downhill simplex local optimization algorithm were adopted to optimize the structure parameters of the framework. After optimization, the total weight of the CFC framework and the TC4 embedded parts is 15.6 kg, accounting for only 18.4% that of the camera. The first order frequency of the camera reaches 104.8 Hz. Finally, a mechanical environment test was performed, and the result demonstrates that the first order frequency of the camera is 102 Hz, which is consistent with the simulation result. It further verifies the rationality and correctness of the optimization result. The integrated optimization method mentioned in this paper can be applied to the structure design of other space cameras, which can greatly improve the structure design efficiency.

Framework has constructive and extendable code. It is consist of the variable design collections. In the aspect of the classes's collection, it is similar to the class library. but it is different to provide the architecture which is possible to develop the application rather than the collection of the simple classes. In framework it is very important factor to develop and control the component library. In this paper, we design the usable component model through defining the meta-relation between components and proposed the sample case using this model.

Java bytecode verification is a critical process to guarantee the safety of transmitted Java applet on the web or contemporary embedded devices. We propose a design of framework which enables to analyze and verify java bytecode. The designed framework translates from a java bytecode into the intermediate representation which can specify a properties of program without using an operand stack. Using the framework is able to produce automatically error specifications that could be occurred in a program and express specifications annotated in intermediate representation by a user. Furthermore we design a verification condition generator which converts from an intermediate representation to a verification condition, a verification engine which verifies verification conditions from verification condition generator, and a result reporter which displays results of verification.

Recent diversification of project delivery systems coupled with increasing mega-projects requires highly advanced construction management techniques. Among those techniques, procurement and design management are recognized as being the first priority for overseas construction projects. Nevertheless, previous research in design management has been limited to the quality management of the design documents at design stage. Therefore, it is necessary to explore the design management from a comprehensive perspective throughout the project life cycle. In this context, the purpose of this paper is to propose a conceptual framework for integrated design management (IDM). Several different concepts in relation to design management were investigated first in order to identify the major variables of the IDM framework. A comprehensive comparison of construction management methodologies was also analyzed in order to identify key factors of IDM. Finally, an IDM framework was proposed by combining those factors and relevant issues. Based on the proposed framework, a survey was conducted in order to validate the framework as well as to identity important areas for improving competitive capability of Korean construction companies.

Web application is more plentifully used as the platform based on business software which is complicated and online services. Initially to JSP fields of appears two architecture design terms called model 1 and model 2. These two term are not referred currently to JSP fields of documents but, current be applicable to extensively in architecture design of the web application. In this paper, definition of web application framework and framework pattern, design then design framework the component which it spreads out is executed composition based on consideration facts.
