Recently, as the use of high-performance materials and complex composite methods has increased, the need for advanced design specifications for steel-concrete composite structures has grown. In this study, various design provisions for ultimate flexural strengths of composite beams were reviewed. Design provisions reviewed included the load and resistance factor design method of AISC 360-10 and the partial factor methods of KSSC-KCI, Eurocode 4 and JSCE 2009. The design moment strengths of composite beams were calculated according to each design specification and the variation of the calculated strengths with design variables was investigated. Furthermore, the relationships between the deformation capacity and resistance factor for flexure were examined quantitatively. Results showed that the design strength and resistance factor for flexure of composite beams were substantially affected by the design formats and variables.

The Spiral coil is made considering primary, secondary side coil inductance, turn number, size, thickness, and shielding area with the litz wire-type in case of manufacturing a coil, and at this time, the semi-automation winding machine is used. When deciding on primary and secondary side coil specification and manufacturing a coil, the spiral coil of a specification varied in the various litz wire of a specification is required, and at this time, a difficulty is generated by the manufacture cost, period which during, and failure the manufacture is generated in the coil sample making. A difficulty is in the desired coil quality control of a specification. Since improving the rectifier of the secondary side in order to improve this kind of problem, the range of the coil design and the during the manufacture, various coil manufacture specifications can be comprehensively made.
Visual interfaces of news sites look similar while their HTML have lots of different specifications and qualities. It's getting more and more significant to describe HTML semantically to make every computer able to understand contents to be shared as HTML5 specification refers. In this study, I have analysed HTML codes of 110 korean news sites in comparison to those of 8 global news sites. As results, 68% of news sites are still described in HTML4 specifications and only 10 out of 110 are in HTML5 specification and as high quality and strong semantics as global news sites. The result shows most korean news sites platforms had not been changed since they developed in mid-2000 and it's needed to be upgraded as language translation technologies are making it possible to share korean digital contents with the rest of world.

A Controller Area Network (CAN) is a serial communication protocol that is highly reliable and efficient in many aspects, such as wiring cost and space, system flexibility, and network maintenance. Therefore, it is chosen for the communication protocol between a single chip controller based on Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) and peripheral devices. In this paper, the design and implementation of CAN IP, which is written in VHSIC Hardware Description Language (VHDL), is presented. The implemented CAN IP is based on the CAN 2.0A specification. The CAN IP consists of three processes: clock generator, bit timing, and bit streaming. The clock generator process generates a time quantum clock. The bit timing process does synchronization, receives bits from the Rx port, and transmits bits to the Tx port. The bit streaming process generates a bit stream, which is made from a message received from a micro controller subsystem, receives a bit stream from the bit timing process, and handles errors depending on the state of the CAN node and CAN message fields. The implemented CAN IP is synthesized and downloaded into SmartFusion FPGA. Simulations using ModelSim and chip test results show that the implemented CAN IP conforms to the CAN 2.0A specification.

The aim of this paper is to investigate the performance of Lightweight Aggregate Concrete Filled Steel Tube (LWCFST) columns experimentally and compare to the behavior of Self-Compacted Concrete Filled Steel Tube (SCCFST) columns under axial loading. Four different L/D ratios and three D/t ratios were used in the experimental program to delve into the compression behaviours. Compressive strength of the LWC and SCC are 33.47 MPa and 39.71 MPa, respectively. Compressive loading versus end shortening curves and the failure mode of sixteen specimens were compared and discussed. The design specification formulations of AIJ 2001, AISC 360-16, and EC4 were also assessed against test results to underline the performance of specification methods in predicting the compression capacity of LWCFST and SCCFST columns. Based on the behaviour of the SCCFST columns, LWCFST columns exhibited different performances, especially in ductility and failure mode. The nature of the utilized lightweight aggregate led to local buckling mode to be dominant in LWCFST columns, even the long LWCFST specimens suffered from this behaviour. While with the SCCFST specimens the global buckling governed the failure mode of long specimens without any loss in capacity. Considering a wide range of column geometries (short, medium and long columns), this paper extends the current knowledge in composite construction by examining the potential of two promising and innovative structural concrete types in CFST applications.

High-speed flight vehicles (HSFVs) such as space launch vehicles and missiles undergo severe dynamic loads which are generated during the launch and in in-flight environments. A typical vehicle is composed of thin plate skin structures with high-performance electronic units sensitive to such vibratory loads. Such lightweight structures are then exposed to external dynamic loads which consist of random vibration, shock, and acoustic loads created under the operating environment. Three types of dynamic loads (acoustic loads, rocket motor self-induced excitation loads and aerodynamic fluctuating pressure loads) are considered as major components in this study. The estimation results are compared to the design specification (MIL-STD-810) to check the appropriateness. The objective of this paper is to study an estimation methodology which helps to establish design specification for the dynamic loads acting on both vehicle and electronic units at arbitrary locations inside the vehicle.
In this paper, we present the design of AAL2/AAL5 Type conversion Unit using among BSC, BTS, Core-Network in IMT-2000 system. We first briefly introduce the B-ISDN ATM Adaptation layer specification of Type 2 AAL and Type 5 AAL, and describe conversion flow and each module. And then this paper has designed AAL2/AAL5 Type Conversion Unit and simulated it.
FlexRay is a new standard of network communication system which provides a high speed serial communication, time triggered bus and fault tolerant communication between electronic devices for future automotive and ship applications. FlexRay communication controller(CC) is the core of the FlexRay protocol specification. In this paper, we first design the FlexRay CC protocol specification and function parts using SDL(Specification and Description Language). Then, the system is re-designed using Verilog HDL based on the SDL source. The FlexRay CC system was synthesized using Samsung $0.35{\mu}m$ technology. It is shown that the designed system can operate in the frequency range above 80 MHz. In addition, to show the validity of the designed FlexRay system, the FlexRay system is combined with sound source localization system in Robot applications. The combined system is implemented using ALTERA Excalibur ARM EPXA4F672C3. It is shown that the implemented system operates successfully.

B2C e-commerce is now sufficiently stable. Judging from its success, we can expect B2B to similarly improve business processes for a better return on investment. To achieve B2B e-commerce, many consortia have been trying to develop a B2B framework. As a result, the ebXML is started as an international standard for B2B e- commerce based on XML. The exchange of information between two parties requires each party to know the other party's supported business collaborations, the other party's role in the business collaboration, and the technology details about how the other party sends and receive messages. In some cases, it is necessary for the two parties to reach agreement on some of the details. The ebXML CPP and CPA specification defines how to describe these. In this paper, we'll describe our design and implementation of an ebXML CPP and CPA editor which enables each party to create and edit his profiles and which automatically composites two CPPs. Although it is possible to create and edit CPP and CPA documents with general-purpose XML editor, it is not easy to create and edit CPP and CPA documents with a general-purpose XML editor. Moreover, the detailed procedures for CPA formation from CPPs are currently not provided in the specification. Therefore, we propose two approaches for a CPA formation in addition to easy-to-use user interface.
