  • Worldwide refinery industry is a large amount of sulfur is produced by development. what that sulfur, it is produced through the desulfurization process and sulfur recover process. And it is made with the liquid state or solid-state. Also, the trend for structure is being changed from wall construction to rhamen construction. The amount of lightweight panels uesd in rhamen construction is also increasing. Therefore, In this study, it is intended to study density and absorption rate of the blast furnace slag lightweight material by using a sulfur lowered melting point. The plain has highest density and the density is lower when adding modified sulfur more. The plain has the lowest absorption and the absorption is higher according to adding modified sulfur more.

  • We quantitatively investigated compositions of fish and invertebrate bycatch in Korean shrimp fisheries. We sampled shrimp trawl bycatch from 48 commercial trawls over 1 year. These samples contained 108 taxa from 50 families, with 60 fish taxa contributing 51.2% of the total biomass and 48 invertebrate taxa 48.8%. However, 86.32% of the total individual organism density comprised invertebrates, while individual fishes made up the remainder. Within the bycatch, two fish species varied in population size structure by season, suggesting recruitment is seasonal in these taxa. Overall general catch characteristics (total bycatch biomass and organism density) varied significantly by season and tide, and a significant interaction effect was observed (season$\times$tide) on total density, but not on total biomass. The data collected will be used in designing a program of long-term bycatch monitoring.

  • A time-lapse microgravity survey on a newly widen road at Muan, where limestone cavities are developed, for monitoring the change of the subsurface density distribution before and after grouting. Microgravity monitoring is identified as a quick, easy and cost effective. But, it requires strict data acquisition and quality control due to the differences of conditions at measurements. The survey was carried out two times, that is, October 2005 and September 2006. The data were adjusted for reducing the effects due to the different condition of each survey. The processed data acquired in 2005 and 2006 were inverted into the subsurface density distributions. They show the change and development of density structure during the lapsed time, which implies the effects of grouting.

  • In this work, effects of hyper-elastic rubber material properties on the indentation load-deflection curve and subindenter deformation are first examined via [mite element (FE) analyses. An optimal data acquisition spot is selected, which features maximum strain energy density and negligible frictional effect. We then contrive two normalized functions. which map an indentation load vs. deflection curve into a strain energy density vs. first invariant curve. From the strain energy density vs. first invariant curve, we can extract the rubber material properties. This new spherical indentation approach produces the rubber material properties in a manner more effective than the common uniaxial tensile/compression tests. The indentation approach successfully measures the rubber material properties and the corresponding nominal stress.strain curve with an average error less than 3%.

  • The rapid development of the automobile industry is an important factor that led to the dramatic development of synthetic rubber. The tread part of tire that comes in direct contact with the road surface is related to the service life of the tire. Rubber compounds used in tire treads are often blended with SBR (styrene-butadiene rubber) and BR (butadiene rubber) to satisfy physical property requirements. However, when two or more kinds of rubber are blended, phase separation and silica dispersion problems may occur due to non-uniform mixing of the rubber. Therefore, in this study, we synthesized an SBR copolymer with the same composition as that of a typical SBR/BR blend compound by controlling butadiene content during ESBR (emulsion styrene-butadiene rubber) synthesis. Subsequently, silica filled compounds were manufactured using the synthesized ESBR, and their mechanical properties, dynamic viscoelasticity, and crosslinking density were compared with those of the SBR/BR blended compound. When the content of butadiene was increased in the silica filled compound, the cure rate accelerated due to an increased number of allylic positions, which typically exhibit higher reactivity. However, the T-2 compound with increased butadiene content by synthesis less likely to show an increase in crosslink density due to poor silica dispersion. In addition, the T-3 compound containing high cis BR content showed high crosslink density due to its monosulfide crosslinking structure. Because of the phase separation, SBR/BR blend compounds were easily broken and showed similar $M_{100%}$ and $M_{300%}$ values as those of other compounds despite their high crosslink density. However, the developed blend showed excellent abrasion resistance due to the high cis-1,4 butadiene content and low rolling resistance due to the high crosslink density.

  • This experiment was conducts to find out the effects of ceramics mixing on mushrooms mycelial growth and density. It is better ceramics in $800^{\circ}C$ than $1000^{\circ}C$ to mycelial growth and density of Pleurotus astreatus, Flamulina velutepes, Lentinus edodes and Inonotus obliqua . Mycelial growth according to ceramics mixing contents with mushrooms media is good till 0.16% ceramics mixing, but if mycelial growth and density take into consideration, 0.12% ceramics mixing contents is best.

  • Background: The leaves of the goji berry (Lycium chinense Mill.) are used as raw materials in processing and by replace fruits to some extent. The reason is that the leaves are cheaper, however, betaine content is higher than in the fruits. These experiments were conducted to determine the planting density and cutting height for producing a large number of leaves. Methods and Results: The cultivar 'Myeongan' with many branches was used. When the shoot height reached 50 cm - 70 cm, harvesting was possible four times a year. The time to next harvest was approximately 38 days after regeneration of new shoots. Leaf quantity was in the order of 1st > 2nd > 4th > 3rd harvest. Insect damage occurred during the third harvest in late July and early August, therefore, eco-friendly control was necessary. The total yield was higher at the planting density 60 cm × 30 cm than that of 60 cm × 20 cm or 60 cm × 40 cm. The yield at cutting for shoot height of 60 cm was increased by 6.3 percent compared to that of 50 cm, At the cutting height of 70 cm, harvest was difficult owing to hardening of stems and thorns. Betaine content, an indicator component of goji berry, was not significantly different according to planting densities and cutting height. Conclusions: The ideal cutting period to produce leaves of goji berry for processing is when the shoots grow to approximately 60 cm, and the leaves can be harvested 4 times a year. The dried-leaf yield was highest at the planting density of 60 cm × 30 cm.

  • We carried out the standoff compensation data from 2007 to 2011 into four different density borehole models to find out the most effectiveness of standoff compensation charts. First, we investigated the irregular collapse characteristics of gamma ray and cut the non-ideal gamma response to improve the effectiveness of the standoff compensation error data. Effectiveness of detector combinations, density of borehole, and spine and ribs techniques from the modified standoff compensation data was analyzed. As the result of comparison, LSD-MSD combination has been suitable for standoff compensation more than LSD-SSD combination and it is possible to do standoff compensation for soil or weathered zone under groundwater level without fatal errors. Even though error scales of density transformed spine and ribs techniques were generally large compared to the conventional standoff compensation, standoff compensation for soil and weathered zone under groundwater level were sufficiently effective.

  • Oxidation of low density lipoprotein (LDL) plays an important role in the development and progression of atherosclerotic disease. In this study, human LDL was isolated and oxidized using $CuSO_4$ in the presence or absence of S-allylmercaptocysteine. Oxidative modification of the LDL fraction was monitored by both the appearance of thiobarbituric acid substances (TBARS), an increase in electrophoretic mobility, and conjugated diene formation. The addition of S-allylmercaptocysteine reduced lipid peroxide formation, indicating it to be an effective antioxidant. The inhibition of LDL oxidation by $5{\sim}20{\mu}g/ml$ S-allylmercaptocysteine occurred in a dose-dependent manner, as assessed by the TBARS assay. S-allylmercaptocysteine at $20{\mu}g/ml$ almost completely inhibited the $Cu^{2+}$ induced increases in electrophoretic mobility of LDL and almost completely inhibited conjugated diene formation. A more potent antioxidative activity was observed for S-allylmercaptocysteine than for either Vitamin C or $d{\ell}-{\alpha}$-tocopherol. Thus, S-allylmercaptocysteine aid in preventing the development and progression of atherosclerotic disease.
