  • This study probed into some characteristics of the urban household such as household income, number of the household, age distribution of the family members, their characteristics of shopping behavior such as the shopping place, types of the packaging and the characteristics of the time series, using consumer panel data of the Rural Development Administration (RDA). It further examined how the above factors affect fruit purchasing prices and then estimates the degree of the influence by each factor. The study looked at the purchase of apples, pears, tangerines, and oranges - the most favorite fruits in Korea. The results of this study can be utilized as the basic information for marketing strategies and/or for the establishment of future policy plans related to fruits consumption.

  • The production of automotive chassis parts requiring both high hardness and good shape-holdability is better realized by using press quenching technology, comprising the austenitizaton and the subsequent press quenching in a specially designed stamping tool. The effect of press quenching mold shape on the hardness distribution, bending height, and degree of planeness of automotive flexible plate during press quenching and tempering has been investigated. The preferable shape of the projections of punch and die in contact with the flexible plate was close to oval to improve the flow of cooling oil, leading to the higher hardness. The press quenching mold with three separate parts was more effective to control the dimensional change due to thermal deformation during press quenching. Some decrease in the bending height during tempering may be related to some recovery of the residual stress at $400^{\circ}C$.

  • In a large area magnetron sputtering system, which is under the influence of high heat load from the plasma, it is necessary to use the effective water cooling in order to maintain the proper deposition performance and the economic use of target materials. A series of three-dimensional numerical simulations are carried out on the simplified model of the large area magnetron sputtering system with the cooling plate that includes the U-shaped water channel. The analysis is focused on the effects of water channel geometry, cooling water flowrate, thermal conductivity of target material, and the degree of target erosion on the cooling performance of cooling plate, which is represented by the temperature distribution of target material.

  • As personal or compact devices with image acquisition functionality are becoming easily available for common users, the voluminous images that need to be managed by image related services or systems demand efficient and effective methods in the perspective of image identification. The objective of image identification is to associate an image with a unique identifier. Moreover, whenever an image identifier needs to be regenerated, the newly generated identifier should be consistent. In this paper, we propose three image identifier generation methods utilizing image features: linear component, luminance area, and combination of both features. The linear component based method exploits the information of distribution of partial lines over an image, while the luminance area based method utilizes the partition of an image into a number of small areas according to the same luminance degree. The third method is proposed in order to take advantage of both former methods. In this paper, we also demonstrate the experimental evaluations for uniqueness and similarity analysis that have shown favorable results.

  • One of the most important aspects of any firm is to motivate its employees to go the extra mile. In order to do work properly, people must be motivated. The total effectiveness and efficiency of workers, as well as a company's performance, is directly related to the degree of motivation of those who work there. On the other hand, demotivated personnel do not put much effort and, when they get a better opportunity, leave their places of employment. For Survey, this study used online Google forms to collect data from September 2021 to October 2021. The target demographic for the research was those who worked for Lebanon's private businesses. The poll was conducted in English, the second language of Lebanon. Furthermore, 179 workers (N = 179) were utilized for this research. The research suggests that fun events and support for fun managers enable workers to connect informally and help people know each other better, creating an environment that promotes friendship building. Based on these connected reasons, fun activities and the support of managers for fun are considerably linked to turnover.

  • A varying degree of eccentricity always exists in the initial configuration of a nuclear fuel rod. Its impact on traditional LWR fuel is limited as the radial gap closes relatively early during irradiation. However, the effect of misalignment is expected to be more relevant in rods with highly conductive fuels, large initial gaps and low conductivity filling gases. In this paper, we study similar characteristics in the experimental setup of two fuel disc irradiation campaigns carried out in the OECD Halden Boiling Water Reactor. Using the multi-dimensional fuel performance code OFFBEAT, we combine 2-D axisymmetric and 3-D simulations to investigate the effect of eccentricity on the fuel temperature distribution. At the same time, we illustrate how the advent of modern tools with multi-dimensional capabilities might further improve the design and interpretation of in-pile separate-effect tests and we outline the potential of such an analysis for upcoming experiments.

  • A damage detection method for the tripod support structure of offshore wind turbines is presented for structural health monitoring. A finite element model of a prototype tripod support structure is established and the modal properties are calculated. The degree and location of the damage are estimated based on the neural network technique using the changes of natural frequencies and mode shape due to the damage. The stress distribution occurring in the support structure is obtained by a dynamic analysis for the wind turbine system to select the output data of the neural network. The natural frequencies and mode shapes for 36 possible damage scenarios were used for the input data of the learned neural network for damage assessment. The estimated damages agreed reasonably well with the accurate ones. The presented method could be effectively applied for damage detection and structural health monitoring of various types of support structures of offshore wind turbines.

  • The compound of 2"-O-benzoylcinnamaldehyde(CB-ph) is a derivative of 2"-hydroxycinnamaldehyde whcih is a methanol extract of cinnamomum cassia blume. It"s a new anti-cancer agent which has been showed to inhibit the growth of various tumor cells in vitro and in vivo. In order to investigate the effective drug concentration and bio-distribution of CB-ph, the plasma protein binding was studied. In this study, the degree of the binding of Cb-ph to various serum proteins, the binding parameters, the binding site of CB-ph in human serum albumin, and the effect of some extensive protein-binding drugs on the protein binding of CB-ph in human serum ablumin were investigated respectively by ultrafilteration and fluorescence spectrometry. • In this study, CALPUFF, a three-dimensional atmospheric diffusion model, was used to predict the degree of influence of pollutants generated during clean center operation on surrounding areas. To drive the CALPUFF model, CALMET, a weather field calculation model, was used. Due to the influence of the wind field, air pollutants from the Clean Center diffused in the southeast direction, increasing the distribution area.
