철강용 알칼리 분말세정제의 제조 및 세정해석 (Preparation and Analysis of Alkaline Powder Cleaning Agents for Steel)

  • Alkaline powder cleaning agents (APCAs) were prepared by blending of $Na_2CO_3$ tetrasodium pyrophosphate (TSPP). sodium orthosilicate (Na-OSi), Na-dioctyl sulfosuccinate (303C), Demol C, and MJU-100A (100A). The physical properties of APCAs tested with steel specimen showed the following results. The cleaning powers of APCA-6 ($Na_2CO_3$ 250g/TSPP 70g/Na-OSi 40g/303C 60g/Demol C 50g/100A 30g mixture) for press-rust preventing oil was 97% and 98% degreasing at 2wt%, $70^{\circ}C$ and $90^{\circ}C$, respectively; for Quenching oil, the cleaning power of APCA-6 was 95% degreasing at 2wt% and $70^{\circ}C$. From the results, it was ascertained that APCA-6 exhibited a good cleaning power. Also low foaming power tests proved that the APCA-6 maintained good defoaming effect.

알루미늄용 저기포성 산성탈지제의 제조와 그의 탈지효과 (Preparation and Effects of Low Foaming Acidic Degreasing Agents for Aluminum)

  • Low foaming acidic degreasing agent(LFADAs) were prepared by blending sorbitol, n-octanoic acid, MJU-100A, Tetronix T-701, Na-dioctyl sulfosuccinate, Demol C, and phosphoric acid. The physical properties of LFADAs tested with aluminum specimen showed the following results ; when 3wt% LFADA-6 was performed at $70^{\circ}C$, the degreasing rate was 95% which is comparitively good, and the percentage of etching was 0.275% which was found to be less than that of commercialized product. When 20wt% of LFADA-6 was added at $65^{\circ}C$, the percentage of derusting was 92% and the good defoaming effect proved by following low foaming power tests respectively : Ross and Miles, and Ross and Clark methods.

약알칼리탈지 용액에서의 구리 Seed 층의 전처리 효과 (Effects of Pretreatment of Alkali-degreasing Solution for Cu Seed Layer)

  • Sputter 방식으로 증착된 구리 seed 층(구리 seed/Ti/Si) 위에 형성된 오염물 제거과정을 이해하기 위하여, 강력한 계면 활성능력을 가진 약알칼리 탈지제 Metex TS-40A 용액을 사용하여 담금(dipping) 시간에 따른 구리 seed 층 표면의 변화형상 및 변화상태를 조사 분석하였다. Field emission scanning electron microscope을 이용하여 TS-40A 용액에 전처리 후 구리 seed 표면 형상이 grain이 명확히 보일 정도로 변화하는 것을 관찰하였고, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy를 이용하여 표면 처리된 Cu seed 표면의 화학구조 및 불순물 상태를 조사하였다. TS-40 용액에서의 dipping 시간 변화에 따른 효과는 거의 없었다. TS-40A 용액에 전처리한 후, 구리 seed 층 표면위의 많은 탄소성분이 제거되었고, 약간의 산소가 제거되었으며, O=C 및 $Cu(OH)_2$에 해당되는 피크들이 감소되는 것이 관측되었다. 하지만 표면에서 불순물 Si이 silicate 상태로 검출되었다. TS-40A 용액에 포함되어 있는 silicate 성분이 구리 seed 층과 반응하여 이 silicate 불순물이 구리 seed 표면에 형성된 것으로 보여진다. 약알칼리 탈지제 Metex TS-40A 용액을 사용한 전처리 과정을 통해, 구리 seed 표면 위의 O=C 및 $Cu(OH)_2$ 등의 제거에는 탁월한 효과를 보였으나, 불순물 silicate가 형성되었으므로 이 알칼리 탈지제를 사용한다면, 이후에 산세정 및 다른 세정과정을 거쳐 표면에 존재하는 silicate를 제거할 필요성이 있다.

금도금을 위한 AISI 304 스테인레스강 표면의 세정 (A Study on the Cleaning of AISI 304 Stainless Steel Surface for Gold Plating)

  • AISI 304 stainless steel has high resistance to corrosion due to the presence of a self-healing chromium oxide film on the surface, which also accounts for the difficulty in plating. Surface cleaning of this alloy is of fundamental importance in gold plating since its effectiveness puts an upper limit on the quality of the final coating. The cleaning of AISI 304 stainless steel was investigated with elimination of artificial passive oxide film and degreasing of remaining buffing wax as stearic acid. The familiar cleaning methods i.e. ultrasonic cleaning, electro-cleaning and activation treatment were fabricated in this study. Activation treatment showed best cleaning efficiency for elimination of passive oxide film among these methods, which was also confirmed by AES (Auger electron spectrometer) analysis. However, the best condition of cleaning was obtained by combining these methods. Electrocleaning time, for degreasing the stearic acid layer, was decreased with increasing amount of added KCN.

스테인레스 강의 진공특성에 대한 화학세척의 효과 (Effect of Chemical Cleaning on Vacuum Properties of a Stainless Steel Surface)

  • Three chemical precleaning methods-degreasing, electropolishing and acidic etching-suitable for stainless steel vacuum chamber have been studied and compared. The techniques used in evaluating and comparing the three treatments include Auger analysis and the measurement of the outgassing rate. The obtained outgassing rates (N2 equivalent) are 1.1 $\times$ 10-10torr l/s cm2 and 3.9 $\times$ 10-11torr l/s cm2 for degreasing electropolishing, and etching method, respectively, after 48 hours from the initial pumpdown at room temperature. A simple model is introduced to analyze the pumpdown curve. Some surface parameters, such as surface coverage, mean residence time, and desorption energy, are calculated from corresponding equations derived from this model.

알루미늄용 산성탈지제의 제조와 그의 특성화 (Preparation of Acidic Degreasing Agent for Aluminum and Its Characterization)

  • n-Octanoic acid, MJU-100A, Tetronix T-701, POE(6)-2-ethylhexyl ether, Newpol PE-68, 솔비톨 및 인산 등을 블렌딩하여 산성탈지제(ADA)를 제조하였다. ADA로서 알루미늄 시료편을 택하여 여러 가지 물성시험을 해 본 결과, ADA-5의 농도 3wt%, $70^{\circ}C$의 조건에서 탈지율은 98%로서 양호한 탈지효과를, etching율은 0.277%로서 시판품 보다 더 낮은 etching율을 각각 나타내었다. 또한 ADA-5의 농도 20wt%, $65^{\circ}C$의 조건에서 제청율은 93%였고, Ross and Miles법과 Ross and Clark법에 의한 저기포력시험 결과 양호한 소포효과를 보여주었다.

  • $Na_2CO_3$. Sodium orthosilicate (Na-OSi), Tetronix T-701 (T-701), Na-dioctyl sulfosuccinate (303C), Newpol PE-68 (PE-68), MJU-100A, and tetrasodium pyrophosphate were blended to prepare high performance alkaline cleaning agents (ACASs). The results of cleaning test with steel specimen showed that ACAS-6 ($Na_2CO_3$ 50g/Na-OSi 35g/T-701 20g/303C 18g/PE-68 17g/MJU-100A 10g/TSPP 20g/ water 180g mixture) had a good cleaning power. The cleaning power for press-rust preventing oil was 98% and 99% degreasing at 4wt%, $70^{\circ}C$ and $90^{\circ}C$, respectively ; for quenching oil, the cleaning power of ACAS-6 was 91% degreasing at 4wt% and $70^{\circ}C$. The foam heights measured immediately after foaming by Ross & Miles method and Ross & Clark method at 6wt%, $60^{\circ}C$ were 18mm and 65mm, respectively. It was concluded that ACAS-6 had a good low foaming cleaning agent.
