In general, when geometry and current distribution have a periodic or symmetric property, the analysis of a part model is sufficient to represent that of a whole model by using the periodic boundary condition. It is impossible, however, to apply the periodic boundary condition when the current distribution is not symmetric even if the geometry of the model is symmetric. In this paper, a novel technique to resolve this problem is proposed. Even when the geometry is symmetric and the current distribution is not, the proposed method enables that calculation time for a whole model is reduced to that for a part model. The proposed method is applied to a deflection yoke (DY), and validness and efficiency of the method are verified.

The present work concerns optimal design for the injection molding process of a deflection yoke (coil separator). The optimal design for the injection molding process is developed using design of experiments and finite element analysis. Two design of experiments approaches are applied such as: the design of experiment for mold design and the design the experiments for determination of process parameters. Finite element analyses have been carried out as a design of experiments for mold design: runner system and cooling channel. In order to determine optimal process experiments have been performed for various process conditions with the design of experiments scheduling.

The analysis of current distribution in a solidly modeled coil is very important for accurate of electric machines such as deflection yoke. In general, Modeling every coils is nearly impossible for analyzing magnetic field using the 3-D finite element method, so solidly modeled coil is usually used. Some methods have been developed for analyzing current distribution, but these methods have fatal disadvantages. The main disadvantages are that the methods cannot be applied to an arbitrary shaped coil and that they yield numerical errors. In this paper, a novel method for resolving the problems mentioned above is proposed. The new method is verified by the application to a test model and it shows a very accurate result.

We have developed the quality analysis system for magnetic field effect of cathode-ray tube that is used a monitor, TV and medical appliance. We designed and constructed the large 3-axis square coil (2 m length) system for the generation of 3-component magnetic field using power supply, magnetometer and computer below 0.2 mT range. The coil constant is 30.31 ${\mu}$T, 29.73 ${\mu}$T and 30.51 ${\mu}$T for the X, Y and Z axis square coil respectively. The magnetic field resolution was 0.01 T. The uniformity of magnetic field was measured within 1 % in the range of 12 cm.
The filtered vacuum arc source (FVAS), which is adopted by magnetic filtering methode to remove the macro-particle in vacuum arc plasma, was composed of a torus structure with bending angle of 60 degree. The radius of torus was 266 mm, the radius of plasma duct was 80 mm and the total length was 600 mm. The magnet parts were consisted of one permanent magnet, one magnetic yoke and five solenoid magnets. The plasma duct was electrically isolated from the ground so that a bias voltage could be applied. The baffles inside plasma duct were installed in order to prevent the recoil effect of macro-particles. Graphite was used as the cathode material to coat the amorphic diamond film and its diameter was 80 mm. The amorphic diamond film attracts much attention due to its excellent mechanical, optical and tribological properties suitable for wide range of applications. The effects of solenoid magnet in plasma extraction were studied by computer simulation and experiment using Taguchi's method. The source and extraction magnet affected the arc stabilization. The extraction beam current was maximized with low value of the source magnet current and high value of the filtering magnet current. Optimum deposition condition was obtained when the currents of arc discharge, source, extraction, bending, deflection and outlet magnet were 30 A, 1 A, 3 A, 5 A, and 5 A, respectively.
This paper presents a three dimensional automatic mesh generation scheme for the boundary element method, and this scheme can be applicable to practical problems of complex shape. The geometry of the problem is expressed as an assemblage of linear Coon's surfaces, and each surface is made up of four edge curves which are defined in the form of a parametric function. Curves are automatically segmented according to their characteristics. With these segments of curves, interior points and triangular mesh elements are generated in the parametric plane using Lindholm's method, and then their projection on the real surface forms the initial mesh. The refinement of initial mesh is performed so that the discrete triangular planes are close to the real continuous surfaces. The bisection method is used for the refinement. Finally, interior points in the refined mesh are rearranged so as to make each element be close with an equilateral triangle. An attempt has been made to apply the proposed method to a DY(Deflection Yoke) model.
As there are recent tendencies to raise horizontal frequencies so as to improve screen definition for high-quality TV and high definition display, ferrite core for deflective yokes requires materials with low coreloss in the areas of high frequencies. The researcher added CuO to low-loss Mg-Zn ferrite. After choosing MgO, ZnO, Fe$_2O_3$ and CuO, the researcher changed a ratio of composition, substituting MgO for CuO. These samples were sintered for three hours up to 980$^{\circ}C$~1350$^{\circ}C$. Measure magnetic permeability, electric loss, core loss and a rate of contraction.
According to the recent trend to raise the horizontal scan frequency to increase the image refinement of the High Definition TV and High Resolution Display, material with low core loss is required for the ferrite core for deflection yoke, which is secured even in the high frequency range. liking notice of the influence on the fine structure of Mg-Zn ferrite by the chemical com position and process, low temperature sintering was proceeded. Cu was added to the low loss Mg-Zn system ferrite. After select-ing MgO, ZnO, $Fe_2$$O_3$, CuO, MgO was substituted for CuO while varying the composition ratio. Then the sample was sintered for 3 hours between $980~1350^{\circ}C$ Magnetic permeability, power consumption, shrinkage rate, core loss were measured. The start-ing temperature to test the shrinkage of the sample was nearby $900^{\circ}C$, it increased according to the substitution process of Cu, and the firing temperature was lowered about $-50~-75^{\circ}C$ alongside of the process.
The basic composition of Ni-Zn ferrite was $(Ni_{0.35}Cu_{0.2}Zn_{0.45})_{1.02}(Fe_2O_3)_{0.98}$ (group A) and $(Ni_{0.4}Cu_{0.2}Zn_{0.4})_{1.02}(Fe_2O_3)_{0.98}$(group B) with additional 0.1 mol% $CaCO_3$ and 0.03 mol% $V_2O_5$. For high permeability and acceleration of grain growth, $CaCO_3$ and $V_2O_5$ was added. The mixture of the law materials was calcinated at $600^{\circ}C$ for 2 hours and then milled. The compacts of toroidal type were sintered at different temperature ($1,050^{\circ}C,\;1,070^{\circ}C,\;1,100^{\circ}C$) for 2 hours in air followed by an air cooling. Then, effects of various composition and sintering temperatures on the microstructure and physical properties such as density, resistivity, magnetic induction, coercive force, initial permeability, quality factor, and curie temperature of the Ni-Zn ferrite were investigated. The density of the Ni-Zn ferrite was $4.90{\sim}5.10g/cm^3$, resistivity revealed $10^8{\sim}10^{12}{\Omega}-cm$. The average grain size increased with the increase of sintering temperatures. The magnetic properties obtained from the aforementioned Ni-Zn ferrite specimens were 4,000 gauss for the maximum induction, 0.25 oersted for the coercive force, 2,997 for the initial permeability, 208 for the quality factor, and $202^{\circ}C$ for the curie temperature. The physical properties indicated that the specimens could be utilized as the core of microwave communication and high permeability deflection yoke of high permeability.
We have synthesized the low temperature sintered of Ni-Zn-Cu ferrite with nonstoichiometric composition a little deficient in $Fe_2O_3$ from $(Ni_{0.2}Cu_{0.2}Zn_{0.6})_{1+x}(Fe_2O_3)_{1-x}$. For low loss and acceleration of grain growth $TiO_2$ and $Li_2CO_3$ was added from 0.25 mol% to 1.0 mol%. The mixture of the law materials was calcinated and milled. The compacts of toroidal type were sintered at different temperature $(875^{\circ}C,\;900^{\circ}C,\;925^{\circ}C\;950^{\circ}C)$ for 2 hours in air followed by an air cooling. Then, effects of composition and sintering temperatures on the physical properties such as density, resistivity, magnetic induction, coercive force, initial permeability, and quality factor of the Ni-Zn-Cu ferrite were investigated. The density of the Ni-Zn-Cu ferrite was $4.85\sim5.32g/cm^3$, resistivity revealed $10^8\sim10^{12}\Omega-cm$. The magnetic properties obtained from the aforementioned Ni-Zn-Cu ferrite specimens were 1,300 gauss for the maximum induction, 4.5 oersted for the coercive force, 275 for the initial permeability, and 83 for the quality factor. The physical properties indicated that the specimens could be utilized as the core of high frequency range (involved microwave range) communication and deflection yoke of T.V.
