After the declaration of the Covid-19 pandemic impacted most of the industries resulting economic fallout. Firms sought for solutions of governments regulations to prevent spread of infectious diseases. This led to demand rise of digital layer and spectrums of virtual reality. Replacing the reality in to virtual and interactions with the digital contents by augmented reality, the consequences were decrement of human-to-human contact. Concerns of Covid-19 and public interests of digital solutions has led to significant amounts of research and developments of Virtual/Augment Reality resulted to driven up new terms of extended reality. However, the uses in industries and the characteristics of the extended reality are currently not defined. In this paper the goal is to define and classify the uses and characteristics of extended reality based on previous researches suggested by research institute. By developing a new classification models of extended realities core technology, uses of industries and utility to analyze trends of extended reality. Two separate classification models of uses of industries and utility will be used as a tool by creating a linkage matrix. The x-axis is divided by utiliy classification model of extended reality. The y-axis are divided into classification model of uses in industries. This matrix will be used as a tool to present a guideline for industry-utility development where extended reality can be served as a service

The performance of lithium ion batteries depends on the usage environment and the combination ratio of cathode materials. In order to develop a high-performance lithium-ion battery, it is necessary to manufacture the battery and measure its performance while varying the cathode material ratio. However, it takes a lot of time and money to directly develop batteries and measure their performance for all combinations of variables. Therefore, research to predict the performance of a battery using an artificial intelligence model has been actively conducted. However, since measurement experiments were conducted with the same battery in the existing published battery data, the cathode material combination ratio was fixed and was not included as a data attribute. In this paper, we define a training data model required to develop an artificial intelligence model that can predict battery performance according to the combination ratio of cathode materials. We analyzed the factors that can affect the performance of lithium-ion batteries and defined the mass of each cathode material and battery usage environment (cycle, current, temperature, time) as input data and the battery power and capacity as target data. In the battery data in different experimental environments, each battery data maintained a unique pattern, and the battery classification model showed that each battery was classified with an error of about 2%.
The hydraulic properties of domestic natural clay/crushed rock mixture suggested as a candidate backfill material for the low and intermediate level waste repository were investigated. The dry density-water content relationship was studied to define an optimum water content that gives a maximum attainable dry density at constant compaction pressure. The hydraulic conductivities of clay/crushed rock mixture as a function of clay content were also measured. As the clay content decreased, the maximum attainable dry density increased and the optimum water content became more distinct. However the attainable density is not significantly sensitive to water content. The hydraulic conductivities of the mixture increased from 5 $\times$ 10$^{-12}$ m/s to 7 $\times$ 10$^{-10}$ m/s with clay content decreasing from 100 wt.% to 25 wt.% at dry density of 1.2 Mg/㎥. In case of dry density of 1.5 Mg/㎥, they maintain the lower values of 5 $\times$ 10$^{-12}$ m/s even at 25 wt.% clay content. The concept of effective clay dry density was suggested to estimate the hydraulic conductivity of the mixture. It was shown that the effective clay dry density concept can explain welt the hydraulic conductivities of the mixtures with various dry density and crushed rock content.
Conventional active surface wave measurements performed using a transient or continuous source are often limited in the maximum depth of penetration due to the difficulty of generating low-frequency energy with reasonably portable sources. This limitation may inhibit accurate seismic site response calculations because of the inability to define deeper subsurface structure. By measuring surface wave generated by passive sources including microtremors and cultural noise, it is possible to overcome this problem and develop soil stiffness profiles to much larger depth. Reliability of dispersion estimates from the passive surface wave measurements is critical to present reliable shear wave velocity profiles and can be improved by the measurements and analyses of passive surface waves based on correct understanding of systematic errors included in passive dispersion data. In this study, the systematic errors caused by poor wavenumber resolution and energy leakage into sidelobes in passive tests are mainly explored. Recommendations for reliable passive surface wave measurements and dispersion estimates are presented and illustrated at a site in San Jose, California, U.S.

Data analysis applications typically aggregate data across many dimensions looking for unusual patterns in data. Even though such applications are usually possible with standard structured query language (SQL) queries, the queries may become very complex. A complex query may result in many scans of the base table, leading to poor performance. Because online analytical processing (OLAP) queries are usually complex, it is desired to define a new operator for aggregation, called the data cube or simply cube. Data cube supports OLAP tasks like aggregation and sub-totals. Many aggregate functions can be used to construct a data cube. Those functions can be classified into three categories, the distributive, the algebraic, and the holistic. It has been thought that the distributive functions such as SUM, COUNT, MAX, and MIN can be used to construct a data cube, and also the algebraic function such as AVG can be used if the function is replaced to an intermediate function. It is believed that even though AVG is not distributive, but the intermediate function (SUM, COUNT) is distributive, and AVG can certainly be computed from (SUM, COUNT). In this paper, however, it is found that the intermediate function (SUM COUNT) cannot be applied to OLAP cubes, and consequently the function leads to erroneous conclusions and decisions. The objective of this study is to identify some problems in applying aggregate function AVG to OLAP cubes, and to design a process for solving these problems.

This study was carried out to compare the DMY (dry matter yield) of IRG (Italian ryegrass) in the southern coastal regions of Korea due to seasonal climate scenarios such as the Kaul-Changma (late monsoon) in autumn, extreme winter cold, and drought in the next spring. The IRG data (n = 203) were collected from various Reports for Collaborative Research Program to Develop New Cultivars of Summer Crops in Jeju, 203 Namwon, and Yeungam from the Rural Development Administration - (en DASH). In order to define the seasonal climate scenarios, climate variables including temperature, humidity, wind, sunshine were used by collected from the Korean Meteorological Administration. The discriminant analysis based on 5% significance level was performed to distinguish normal and abnormal climate scenarios. Furthermore, the DMY comparison was simulated based on the information of sample distribution of IRG. As a result, in the southern coastal regions, only the impact of next spring drought on DMY of IRG was critical. Although the severe winter cold was clearly classified from the normal, there was no difference in DMY. Thus, the DMY comparison was simulated only for the next spring drought. Under the yield comparison simulation, DMY (kg/ha) in the normal and drought was 14,743.83 and 12,707.97 respectively. It implies that the expected damage caused by the spring drought was about 2,000 kg/ha. Furthermore, the predicted DMY of spring drought was wider and slower than that of normal, indicating on high variability. This study is meaningful in confirming the predictive DMY damage and its possibility by spring drought for IRG via statistical simulation considering seasonal climate scenarios.
This thesis aims to reveal the meanings of SF as a genre in Korea. Most of the studies on the characteristics of SF novels in Korea have revealed the meanings of characteristic elements of SF, or peripherally reviewed the characteristics of works. However, these methodologies have a limitation, such as analysis through the existing methodologies, while overlooking the identity of SF texts with the characteristics as a genre. To clearly define the value of texts in the SF genre, an understanding of the customs and codes of the genre is first needed. Thus, this thesis aims to generally handle matters like the historical context in which Korean SF was accepted by Korean society, and the meanings and characteristics when they were created and built up relationships with readers. In addition to fully investigating SF as a popular narrative & genre narrative that has not been fully handled by academic discourses, this thesis aims to practically reconsider the present/future possibilities of SF, which is currently being reconsidered given that the scientific imagination is regarded as important in the 21st century. This thesis considers the basic signification of Korean SF texts in academic discourses. Through this work, numerous Korean SF that have not been fully handled in the area of literature and cultural phenomena will be evaluated for their significance within the academic discourses, and also reviewed through diverse research afterwards. As a result, this work will be helpful for the development of discourse and the expansion of the Korean narrative area that has been diversely changed since the 21st century.
Greek myth is a play of imagination. It represents world with magic eye. The Greek myth of Homer and Hesiod is the story of gods. But it is the world of imagination which was produced to understand the origins and the causes of natural phenomena with the symbolic factors. It is the frame with which we understand the destiny of human beings. As a world of imagination, Myth is not a total fiction but a symbolically revived world with magic eye. Myth is a play which represents the world with imagination. And it is a play which projects new world yet not exists. Myth is the world of free play with reproduction and imagination. Heraclitus elucidated the structure and change of world with the metaphor of play. He tried to define the meaning of being with play. The play is the clue of elucidating the meaning of being. On play the whole world is reflected. He expressed the world has no ultimate end and is changing endlessly. Philosophical speculation understands the world with the metaphor of play. Metaphor is correlated with the philosophical eye which view the world totally. The human beings are happy when they concentrate upon play. The rule of real world doesn't go in the world of play. They have their own rule which goes in the world of play. Ancient mythologists and pre-socratic philosophers dreamed the life free from the restriction of the nature.
How to study Southeast Asia (SEA)? The need to explore and identify methodologies for studying SEA are inherent in its multifaceted subject matter. At a minimum, the region's rich cultural diversity inhibits both the articulation of decisive defining characteristics and the training of scholars who can write with confidence beyond their specialisms. Consequently, the challenges of understanding the region remain and a consensus regarding the most effective approaches to studying its history, identity and future seem quite unlikely. Furthermore, "Area Studies" more generally, has proved to be a less attractive frame of reference for burgeoning scholarly trends. This paper will propose a new tool to help address these challenges. Even though the science of artificial intelligence (AI) is in its infancy, it has already yielded new approaches to many commercial, scientific and humanistic questions. At this point, AI has been used to produce news, generate better smart phones, deliver more entertainment choices, analyze earthquakes and write fiction. The time has come to explore the possibility that AI can be put at the service of the study of SEA. The paper intends to lay out what would be required to develop SEABOT. This instrument might exist as a robot on the web which might be called upon to make the study of SEA both broader and more comprehensive. The discussion will explore the financial resources, ownership and timeline needed to make SEABOT go from an idea to a reality. SEABOT would draw upon artificial neural networks (ANNs) to mine the region's "Big Data", while synthesizing the information to form new and useful perspectives on SEA. Overcoming significant language issues, applying multidisciplinary methods and drawing upon new yields of information should produce new questions and ways to conceptualize SEA. SEABOT could lead to findings which might not otherwise be achieved. SEABOT's work might well produce outcomes which could open up solutions to immediate regional problems, provide ASEAN planners with new resources and make it possible to eventually define and capitalize on SEA's "soft power". That is, new findings should provide the basis for ASEAN diplomats and policy-makers to develop new modalities of cultural diplomacy and improved governance. Last, SEABOT might also open up avenues to tell the SEA story in new distinctive ways. SEABOT is seen as a heuristic device to explore the results which this instrument might yield. More important the discussion will also raise the possibility that an AI-driven perspective on SEA may prove to be even more problematic than it is beneficial.

In this paper, a real-time training method to improve the performance of bearing fault diagnosis. The traditional bearing fault diagnosis cannot classify a condition which is not trained by the classifier. The proposed 4-step method trains and recognizes new condition in real-time, thereby it can classify the condition accurately. In the first step, we calculate the maximum distance value for each class by calculating a Euclidean distance between a feature vector of each class and a centroid of the corresponding class in the training information. In the second step, we calculate a Euclidean distance between a feature vector of new acquired data and a centroid of each class, and then compare with the allowed maximum distance of each class. In the third step, if the distance between a feature vector of new acquired data and a centroid of each class is larger than the allowed maximum distance of each class, we define that it is data of new condition and increase count of new condition. In the last step, if the count of new condition is over 10, newly acquired 10 data are assigned as a new class and then conduct re-training the classifier. To verify the performance of the proposed method, bearing fault data from a rotating machine was utilized.
