Pyebaek of Jeonju area based on the method prepared by late old madame Park, Bokja can be characterized as follows: First, vegetables which could be obtained locally constituted the main body of materials of Jeonju Pyebaek and animal foods used in Pyebaek were dried fishe for the most of times. In the pre-refrigerator era, the main reason behind the heavy uses of dried fish such as dried abalone or octopus instead of animal foods can be attributed to the easy availability of dried fish. In recent years, foods made of animal foods has been indispensible items. Second for the patterns and decorations of Pyebaek natural figures such as birds, flowers, butterflies, loaves and half moon were imitated in making of octopus cuttings, squid cuttings, Yakkwa, Hwajeon, Dried persimmons, Jeonbokssam, etc. Beef jerky, Yeotgangjeong were decorated beautifully with pine nuts, shredded dried dates and raisins. Many colors were used in various items of Jeonju Pyebaek such as Hwajeon, Songpyun, Saji. Finally, flavors of Jeonju Pyebaek are sweet and tasty of sesame oil.

This study aim to clarify the way of spatial composition of Tongdo Temple by diachronic analysis. The way of spatial composition was clarified through the analysis of built in architectural system in three periods. The result are as follows; 1. Spatial composition of Tongdo temple was changed in three period that it were establishment period, 1300s, and 1700s by the transition of meaning structure occurring the transition of spatial composition. 2. It was found out that the wat of spatial composition was three through the diachronic analysis the transition of spatial composition in Tongdo temple. 3. Juxtaposition as a way of spatial composition found out through the diachronic analysis is equivalent articulation of three sections; an upper, a middle, and a lower section and polyaxis or polycore in the each sections. Fusion is heterogenetic minglement mingling different kind of buildings and conjugation conjugating different kind of decorations. And accumulation of layer is mutilayer laying different time of layer and multi aspect aligning different kind of aspects since the temple's establishment.

The purpose of this study is aimed at grasping the architectural characteristics of modern buildings in Gangneung from 1910's to 1970's. The results are as follows. 1) The commercial buildings are mostly unsymmetrical flat type and others except commercial buildings are mostly symmetrical flat type. 2)Up until the 1940's, staircases were located inner of building between the first and the second floor, however after the 1950's, they were separately located in one side of the building to ensure perpendicularly more space and easier mobility than before. 3)Windows were widely used in order to avoid monotonous wall elevation after 1950' s. 4)Striped decorations were put to use to decorate the front elevation of building. 5)Parapet which had decorative stripes to the top was generally used to hide roof.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the trend and meanings of the decoration which has appeared on fashion magazines from 1995 through 2005. The method of this study is to analyze 1627 decorations represented in fashion magazine focused on blouse, jacket and one-piece. As a result of this study I drew the following conclusion. First, the decoration reflects a life-style that modern people persue comfort, casual wear. Second, the decoration redefines the feminine identity by fusing different factors of fashion style. Third, the decoration reflects the hybrid tendencies through reconstruction by merging different culture or things.

This paper purports to find the characteristics of blue costumes as expressed in modern fashion. As such, we made an empirical analysis, using 436 works from 2006 S/S through 2010 F/W collections. Result indicated that modernness was emphasized by applying a minimum expressive technique to items of a simple form, and an image of simplicity was emphasized by placing focus on the rational color image of blue. Second, images of blue, such as trust, stability, and success were expressed as refined elegance through the combination of tight silhouettes, glossy and translucent materials, and indirect exposure. Third, natural image was expressed through natural silhouettes, soft or natural materials, gradation of various tones, and natural motif decorations as well as the color itself. Fourth, dynamic image was expressed by introducing fashion items, mostly worn by men only, to simple and tight forms or through the inspiration of a masculine fashion image. Fifth, abstinent image was expressed by using an image of religious apparel or symbols, covering up the body, minimizing details, and using a dark blue tone.

Luxury, an expression of richness and expensiveness which can be achieved after putting in extensive an elaborate handworks, has been expressed in Hollywood movie costumes. The purpose of this thesis is to explore the characteristics of movie costumes of Hollywood studio designers, and to contemplate luxury expressed in movie costumes for such purposes, this thesis first provides the study on the luxury in movie costumes which has been reflected in fashion history, film studies and feminist theories, and to conduct a case study by analyzing photographic materials. The luxury expressed in movie costumes could be identified as expensiveness, exclusiveness, excess, and indulgence. In the movie costumes, expensive materials such as furs, jewelry, and decorations were used. Couture and custom-made costumes were the expressions of exclusivity. Also, the excessive luxury were the expression of bigness, scalelessness or extreme abundance. Indulgence in luxury is shown in use of uncommon characteristics, especially in gangster movie costumes.

The purpose of this research is the new experimental approach to the methodology of the costume history 'study. The basic frame is structured by the concept of the type. This is developed to the decoration type of the costume, originated by the classification of the decoration type of Ruskin. Using this, the researcher could analysis the decoration type of the costumes in the 19th century. In the result, the researcher could find that the change of the decoration type had the regular orientation of the oscillation through the periods. It is the experimental frame for the analysis of the styles. But it will provide the more extensive analytical frame on condition that catagorizations are completed. And it will be able to imply to the 20th century's costume.

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationships among brand awareness, switching intentions, purchasing behavior, and revisiting intentions. Brand awareness consisted of three factors: brand image, physical environment, and affiliation of coffee brand. Good brand image was associated with reduced switching intentions, whereas negative images were associated with higher switching intentions. Consumer purchasing behavior was most affected by interior decoration, including furniture, decorations, etc. Switching intentions had a negative relationship with revisiting intentions. Finally, purchasing behavior and revisiting intentions showed a positive correlation. As limitations, the only participants were university students, who are not representative of all consumers at coffee shops. Moreover, this study did not divide coffee shops into franchises and individually owned.

Handles are very essential element to satisfy function of furniture except for furniture without doors. Moreover, handles of furniture tend to have not only functions for opening and shutting but also decorations for furniture. Among various hardware for furniture, handles are the one who influence furniture's design most. Yet, cases of damages occur due to the fact that there are many copying. Handles have short lives, so that it is economically quiet burden to develop new products in Korea. Therefore, this study aims to inspire necessity of investment for handles and other hardware's development by classifying types of handles, systemizing basic knowledge of design for furniture handles, and realizing the importance of handles within domestic demand.

German Baroque and Rococo styles in furniture design show three types because of political and geographical conditions - Northern style from Holland and England, Middle one from France, Southern one from Italy, The German's Baroque style, however, emphasized in practicality and metamorphosed form and material using the motive of plant trunk, flame pattern, and Akanthus leaf. Furniture of German Rococo surrounding space, and chairs two-dimensional curved lines than flower, ribbon, and lattice. style was designed form and color becomingly with were displayed decorations of more pictorial and structural forms, using the pattern of palm tree leaf, clam, flower, ribbon, and lattice.
