COMPLEXITY OF THE SCHEDULING LANGUAGE RSV

  • Resource-constrained project scheduling problems with variant processes can be represented and solved using a logic-based terminological language called RSV (resource constrained project scheduling with variant processes). We consider three different variants for formalizing the RSV-scheduling problem, the optimizing variant, the number variant and the decision variant. Using the decision variant we show that the RSV- problem is NP-complete. Further we show that the optimizing variant (or number variant) of the RSV-problem is computable in polynomial time iff. the decision variant is computable in polynomial time.

확률적 자원제약 스케줄링 문제 해결을 위한 가변 이웃탐색 기반 동적 의사결정 (Dynamic Decisions using Variable Neighborhood Search for Stochastic Resource-Constrained Project Scheduling Problem)

  • Stochastic resource-constrained project scheduling problem is an extension of resource-constrained project scheduling problem such that activity duration has stochastic nature. In real situation where activity duration is not known until the activity is finished, open-loop based static policies such as activity-based policy and priority-based policy will not well cope with duration variability. Then, a dynamic policy based on closed-loop decision making will be regarded as an alternative toward achievement of minimal makespan. In this study, a dynamic policy designed to select activities to start at each decision time point is illustrated. The performance of static and dynamic policies based on variable neighborhood search is evaluated under the discrete-event simulation environment. Experiments with J120 sets in PSPLIB and several probability distributions of activity duration show that the dynamic policy is superior to static policies. Even when the variability is high, the dynamic policy provides stable and good solutions.

경호전공 대학생의 전공만족, 진로정체감 및 진로결정 자기효능감의 구조적 관계 (Structural Relations of Security Science Majors' Major Satisfaction, Career Identity and Career Decision-making Self Efficacy)

  • 본 연구는 경호전공 대학생 중심으로 전공만족, 진로정체감 및 진로결정 자기효능감의 구조적 관계를 규명하는데 그 목적이 있다. 또한 각 변인들간의 직접효과, 간접효과와 총효과를 확인하여 합리적인 진로탐색과 진로프로그램 개발의 기초를 제공해주고자 한다. 이를 위해 경호전공 대학생 239명의 설문자료를 수집하였으며 구조방정식 모형분석을 적용하였다. 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교과만족은 진로결정, 진로확신, 진로흥미에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 관계만족과 일반적 만족은 진로결정과 진로확신에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 사회적 인식은 진로흥미에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 진로결정, 진로확신은 문제해결, 정보수집, 계획설정에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 진로흥미는 문제해결과 정보수집에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 교과만족은 진로결정을 통하여 문제해결과 정보수집에 매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 여섯째, 교과만족은 진로확신을 통하여 문제해결과 정보수집에 매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 일곱째, 관계만족은 진로흥미를 통하여 문제해결, 정보수집과 계획설정에 매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 여덟째, 일반적 만족은 진로결정을 통하여 문제해결과 정보수집에 매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 연구결과를 중심으로 경호학에서의 시사점과 추후연구를 위한 제언들을 논의하였다.

A TQM case of Centralized Sequential Decision-making Problem

  • This paper considers that a public department under specialized TQM manpower constraints have to implement multiple total quality management (TQM) policies to promote its service performance (fundamental goal) by adopting a centralized sequential advancement strategy (CSAS). Under CSAS, the decision-makers (DMs) start off by focusing specialized TQM manpower on a single policy, then transfer the specialized TQM manpower to the next policy when the first policy reaches the predetermined implementation time limit (in terms of education and training). Suppose that each TQM policy has a different desirous education and training goal. When the desirous goals for all TQM policies are achieved, we say that the fundamental goal will be satisfied. Within the limitation of total implementation period of time for all policies, assume the desirous goals for all TQM policies cannot be achieved completely. Under this premise, the optimal implementation sequence for all TQM policies must be calculated to maximize the weighted achievement of the desirous goal. We call this optimization problem a TQM case of "centralized sequential decision-making problem (CSDMP)". The achievement of the desirous goal for each TQM policy is usually affected by the experience in prior implemented policies, which makes solving CSDMP quite difficult. As a result, this paper introduces the concepts of sequential effectiveness and path effectiveness. The structural properties are then studied to propose theoretical methods for solving CSDMP. Finally, a numerical example is proposed to demonstrate CSDMP′s usability.

집단의사결정에 의한 정보통신 기술분야별 R&D 투자배분결정 모형개발 : 다목적선형계획법의 응용 (A R&D Investment Model for Information and Telecommunications Technology by Group Decision Makers : An Application of Multiple Objective Linear Programming)

  • This paper presents a R&D investment model for Information and telecommunications (I&T) technology, which can be used by group decision makers, using multiple objective linear programming (MOLP). The MOLP model involves the simultaneous maximization of three linear objective functions associated with three criteria, which are social, technological, and economic criterion. This model is different from the traditional one which only involves the maximization of economic criterion. The presented problem in this model can be formulated as a problem of optimizing a linear function over an efficient set of MOLP. Its application to the National R&D Project in I&T Industry is also presented. In this application, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is proposed to estimate the weights, which are used as the coefficients in each objective function of the MOLP model and in a linear decision function. By solving this problem, it yields a suitable R&D investment ratio to each technology field. It is showed that the MOLP model can be useful decision aid in formulating R&D investment plan in I&T industry which needs to be decided by group decision makers, not by an individual. It is expected that the MOLP model works as the basis for planning R&D investment strategy in I&T industry.

  • In this paper, a versatile multi-criteria optimization concept for fatigue life prediction is introduced. Multi-criteria decision making in engineering design refers to obtaining a preferred optimal solution in the context of conflicting design objectives. Compromise decision support problems are used to model engineering decisions involving multiple trade-offs. These methods typically rely on a summation of weighted attributes to accomplish trade-offs among competing objectives. This paper gives an interpretation of the decision parameters as governing both the relative importance of the attributes and the degree of compensation between them. The approach utilizes a response surface model, the compromise decision support problem, which is a multi-objective formulation based on goal programming. Examples illustrate the concepts and demonstrate their applicability.

  • The purpose of this paper is to propose a method for selecting the preferred alternatives of Multiple- Attribute Decision-Making(MADM) problem using the Entropy measure. A decision-maker who wants to estimate exactly the weight to be applied to her/his MADM problem is usually confronted with the embarrassing situation where, although there exist a variety of weighting methods, it is hard to find a right procedure to choose a pertinent value To remedy this uncomfortable situation, the Entropy measure commonly used in information theory, Is proposed as a tool that can be used by decision-makers to more efficiently select the preferred alternatives. As a result, the method proposed in the paper can be significant in that relatively easy to understand by decision-makers.

A Study on the Prediction of Community Smart Pension Intention Based on Decision Tree Algorithm

  • With the deepening of population aging, pension has become an urgent problem in most countries. Community smart pension can effectively resolve the problem of traditional pension, as well as meet the personalized and multi-level needs of the elderly. To predict the pension intention of the elderly in the community more accurately, this paper uses the decision tree classification method to classify the pension data. After missing value processing, normalization, discretization and data specification, the discretized sample data set is obtained. Then, by comparing the information gain and information gain rate of sample data features, the feature ranking is determined, and the C4.5 decision tree model is established. The model performs well in accuracy, precision, recall, AUC and other indicators under the condition of 10-fold cross-validation, and the precision was 89.5%, which can provide the certain basis for government decision-making.

  • 미래의 불확실성이 높을수록 회사의 경영자의 고민은 커지는데, 이러한 불확실성을 해소할 수 있는 핵심 열쇠로 창의성을 꼽을 수 있다. 본 연구는 비즈니스 문제 해결 창의성(Business Problem Solving Creativity, BPSC)과 기업 의사결정자의 개방적 성향 간의 관계에 대해 확인하고, 주의력이 BPSC와 개방적 성향 간의 조절 효과를 갖는지 아이트래킹 기법으로 확인한다. 주의력 측정을 위해 '문제 해결과 무관한 정보처리 과정'(IRP)을 개발하였다. 연구결과, 의사결정자의 개방적 성향과 BPSC는 양의 상관관계가 있음을 입증하였으며, 기존의 창의성 연구와는 달리 주의력은 개방적 성향과 BPSC 간의 부의 조절 효과가 있음을 입증하였다. 본 연구는 BPSC는 빠르게 변화하는 경영 환경에서 문제를 해결하는 의사결정자의 창의적 능력이나 성과를 측정하는 행동과학 연구로 실무적 가치가 높다. 또한, 기업 의사결정자의 성향과 BPSC와의 상관성을 입증하여, BPSC 발현의 심리적 메커니즘을 규명함으로써 경영학 창의성 연구에 기여하였다.

의사결정나무 모형을 이용한 주관적 음성장애 예측모형 (The Prediction Model for Self-Reported Voice Problem Using a Decision Tree Model)

  • 본 연구에서는 주관적 음성문제의 위험요인으로 구명된 주요 변수를 기반으로 주관적 음성장애를 예측할 수 있는 모형을 개발 하였다. 연구자료는 2008년도 국민건강영양조사이며, 이비인후검진을 완료한 전국의 19세 이상 지역사회 성인 3,600명(남 1,501명, 여 2,099명)을 분석대상으로 하였다. 분석방법은 주관적 음성장애 여부를 결과변수로 성, 연령, 흡연, 음주, 교육수준, 직업, 갑상선장애, 최근 2주간 급성 및 만성질환으로 인한 통증 및 불편감을 설명변수로 사용하였고, 예측모형은 의사결정나무 모형(Decision Tree)의 exhaustive CHAID(Chi Squared Automatic Interaction Detection) 알고리즘을 이용하였다. 주관적 음성 장애와 관련된 통계학적 분류 모형을 구축한 결과, 유의미한 예측 변수는 연령, 교육수준, 최장 직업, 갑상선 장애, 최근 2주 동안의 신체 불편 및 통증경험 여부였다. 이 연구의 모형을 기초로 음성장애 예방을 위해서 음성장애 고위험군에 대한 조기 관리의 필요성이 제기된다.
