  • In [1], they build two populations' cellular automata model with predation based on the Penna model. In this paper, uncertain aspects and problems of imprecise and vague data are considered in this model. A fuzzy cellular automata model containing movable wolves and sheep has been built. The results show that the fuzzy cellular automata can simulate the classical CA model and can deal with imprecise and vague data.

  • In this paper, design of an error model is presented in which the bias characteristic of the MEMS IMU is taken into consideration for performance enhancement of the MEMS IMU-based GPS/INS integrated navigation system. The drift bias of the MEMS IMU is modeled as a 1st-order Gauss-Markov (GM) process, and the autocorrelation function is obtained from the collected IMU data, and the correlation time is estimated from this. Prior to obtaining the autocorrelation function, the noise of IMU data is eliminated based on wavelet. As a result of simulation, it is represented that the parameters of error model can be estimated correctly only when a proper denoising is performed according to dynamic behavior of drift bias, and that the integrated navigation system based on error model, in which the drift bias is considered, provides more correct navigation performance compared to the integrated navigation system based on error model in which the drift bias is not considered.

  • Data filtering is an essential task for improving the energy efficiency of radiofrequency identification (RFID) networks. Among various energy-efficient approaches, clustering-based data filtering is considered to be the most effective solution because data from cluster members can be filtered at cluster heads before being sent to base stations. However, this approach quickly depletes the energy of cluster heads. Furthermore, most previous studies have assumed that readers are fixed and interrogate mobile tags in a workspace. However, there are several applications in which readers are mobile and interrogate fixed tags in a specific area. This article proposes a model for dynamic clustering-based data filtering (DCDF) in mobile RFID networks, where mobile readers are re-clustered periodically and the cluster head role is rotated among the members of each cluster. Simulation results show that DCDF is effective in terms of balancing energy consumption among readers and prolonging the lifetime of the mobile RFID networks.

  • Mobile Augmented Reality (mobile AR), as one of the most prospective mobile applications, intends to provide richer experiences by annotating tags or virtual objects over the scene observed through camera embedded in a handheld device like smartphone or pad. In this paper, we analyzed the current status of the art of mobile AR and proposed a novel Points of Interest (POIs) data model based on ontology to provide context-aware information retrievals on lots of POIs data. Proposed ontology was expanded from the standard POIs data model of W3C POIs Working Group and established using OWL (Web Ontology Language) and Protege. We also proposed a context-aware mobile AR platform which can resolve three distinguished issues in current platforms : interoperability problem of POI tags, POIs data retrieval issue, and context-aware service issue.

  • In this study, we implement the prototype modeler with non-manifold data structure using Open Inventor. In these days, Open Inventor is a popular tool for computer graphics applications, even though Open Inventor could not store topological information including a non-manifold data structure which can represent an incomplete three dimensional shape such as a wireframe and a dangling surface during designing. Using Open Inventor, our modeler can handle a non-manifold model whose data structure is based on the radial edge data structure. A model editor is also implemented as an application which can construct a non-manifold model from two dimensional editing.

  • This study consists of three steps of data modeling procedures. The first step is to identify possible items for the data model based on literature review and expert interviews. The second step is to design delineate possible sub-themes, feature classes, feature types, attributes, attribute domains, and their relationships. These are presented in various UML class diagrams, and each feature type is clearly defined and modeled. The data model also shows geometry objects and their topological relationships in UML diagrams. Finally, a standardized data model has been provided to avoid possible conflicts in the field of geographic and Facility Area, and thus this study and the data model will eventually assist in alleviating efforts to build standardized geographic information databases for Facility Area.

  • The neutron induced nuclear cross section data for Ir-191 and Ir-193 were calculated and evaluated from unresolved resonance energy to 20MeV. The energy-dependent optical model potential parameters were determined based on the experimental data and applied up to 20MeV. A spherical optical model, a statistical model in an equilibrium energy region, and a multistep direct and multistep compound model in a pre-equilibrium energy region were used in the calculations. The direct capture model enhanced the fast neutron capture in the pre-equilibrium energy. The theoretically calculated cross sections were compared with the experimental data and the evaluated files. The calculations were found to be in good agreement with the experiment data. The evaluated cross section results were compiled with the ENDF-6 format. The fast energy results will be merged with the resonance parts to create a full evaluation library. The improvement of the neutron-induced cross section data will contribute to an increase in the efficiency of the production of Ir-192 as a radiation source.

  • This work aims to investigate on the low cycle fatigue life assessment, which is adopted on the strain-life relationship, or better known as the Coffin-Manson relationship, and also the strain energy density-based model. The low cycle fatigue test results of Alloy 617 weldments under $900^{\circ}C$ have been statistically estimated through the Coffin-Manson relationship according to the provided strain profile. In addition, the strain energy density-based model is proposed to represent the energy dissipated per cycle as fatigue damage parameter. Based on the results, Alloy 617 weldments followed the Coffin-Manson relationship and strain energy density-based model well, and they were compatible with the experimental data. The predicted lives based on these two proposed models were examined with the experimental data to select a proper life prediction parameter.

  • The reliability, that is Long-Term Quality, require an approaching different from Short-Term Quality which is used before. As the electronic components are able to be easily normalized on the reliability testing, various testing standards are used. In this study, we proposed two reliability simulator that is PoF(Physics of Failure)-based and failure rate models-based. PoF-based simulator is introduced based on CalceEP program that is created by University of Maryland. This simulator can be modified by user interface of properties and PoF models and operated on stand alone system. Failure rate models-based simulator introduced according to analyzing reliability prediction documents. Also, unified database including failure data models is built from existing MIL-HDBK-217F N2, PRISM, and Bellcore, and web-based simulator is developed. The developed reliability simulator will service of the PoF model, properties, failure rate model accumulated and its data by web and internet.
