The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of location satisfaction of innovative start-ups, located in capital and non-capital areas, on the intention of relocation. The analysis was based on the data of a survey of 231 innovative start-ups that were founded less than 7 years ago. 10 factors related to the aspects of business management, network building, and business environment were considered as location satisfaction of start-ups. The dependent variable was whether innovative start-ups plan to relocate. First, it was confirmed that in the case of innovative start-ups in capital area, the intention to relocate was found to decrease when the location satisfactions related to the promptly provision of products and services to consumers and ease of supplying labor were increased. Second, in the case of innovative start-ups in non-capital area, it was found that the intention to relocate was found to decrease when the location satisfactions related to creating a network, convenient transportation and free and creative start-up environment were increased. In addition, it was found that the higher the sales of start-ups in non-capital area, the lower their intention to relocate while the higher firm age of start-ups in non-capital area, the higher their intention to relocate. This study has an academic contribution to examining the relationship between between the location satisfactions of start-ups and the intention to relocate, which has been rarely addressed in Korea, and to shedding light on the difference in capital and non-capital areas. Furthermore, this study has policy implications since it suggests factors that the government should consider for geographical agglomeration of start-ups.

Recently, by the extension of skills like LAN, the wireless telecommunication network and the satelite services make it possible for the mobile computer users to access a database. A method to use the replicated database on a server to get new data without missing any information has been being studied. So far we have used the Static Replica Allocation(SRA) for the replication which is the method of the replication on the server. This method is to replicate the data on the replica server after a moving host is transferred to a cell. Since the network of the SRA is very good, and if there are few moving users, no trouble will happen. But if there is no moving users in a cell, the data will not be shared. Therefore, this paper is about the study of the method of relocation after replicating the data to the cells for the users(User Select Replica Allocation : USRA). We also analyze the access rate and the possibility which are closely related to the moving frequency of the mobile hosts and the numbers of the cells. As a result, We show that the 120% lower access cost and the 40%∼50% gains are achieved from the low mobility

Fluid-elastic instability and turbulence excitation for an under developing steam generator are investigated numerically. The stability ratio and the amplitude of turbulence excitation are obtained by using the PIAT (Program for Integrity Assessment of Steam Generator Tube) code from the information on the thermal-hydraulic data of the steam generator. The aspect ratio, the ratio between the height of U-tube from the upper most tube support plate (h) and the width of two vertical portion of U-tube (w), is defined for geometric parameter study. Several aspect ratios with relocation of tube support plates are adopted to study the effects on the mode shapes and characteristics of flow-induced vibration. When the aspect ratio exceeds value of 1, most of the mode shapes at low frequency are generated at the top of U-tube. It makes very high value of the stability ratio and the amplitude of turbulent excitation as well. We can consider that the local mode shape at the upper side of U-tube will develop the wear phenomena between the tube and the anti-vibration bars such as vertical, horizontal, and diagonal strips. It turns out that the aspect ratio reveals very important parameter for the design stage of the steam generator. The appropriate value of the aspect ratio should be specified and applied.

This study was conducted to understand the change of spatial environmental factors including populations, air pollution source and land-use in Busan, during the period of 1995 and 2004. Firstly, the grids (5 km $\times$ 5 km) were divided using the TM coordinates of Busan and the statistical data of populations and land-use were marked on each grid during studying period. Secondly, the SO$_2$, NO$_2$ and O$_3$ concentrations of areas where air quality monitoring station was not established were estimated on the basis of these air pollutants measured at close air quality monitoring station by kriging method. In order to understand spatial change of air pollution and to investigate duplication and reduction of existing stations, semivariogram, correlation and cluster analysis were carried out. This study showed that the population increased in 2004 only on 8 grids compared to in 1995. The spatial change of SO$_2$, NO$_2$ and O$_3$ was investigated by semivariogram in Busan area. As the results of semivariogram, the spatial change of 502 become smaller and simpler, while that of NO2,03 become larger and more complex in 2004 than in 1995, According to the result of correlation and cluster analysis, the reduction of measurement item or the relocation of air quality monitoring station can be needed in the high dense grid area.

In this paper, we propose a dynamic job relocation strategy that considering application's characteristics in multiple grid sites. This scheme classifies application to execute in multiple grid sites by their characteristics : computing intensive application, network intensive application. Also, it eliminates the communication between sites by allocating the network intensive application in single site, thus reducing the total job execution time. But if a number of free nodes to execute the network intensive application aren't found in single site, the proposed scheme the first allocates the network intensive application in multiple sites to minimize network latency. Then if the network intensive application being executed in multiple sites suitable free nodes are found in single site. the proposed scheme relocates the application being executed in multiple sites to another single site. This results in reducing the total job execution time. Through simulation, we show that the proposed dynamic job reallocation strategy improves the performance of Data Grid environment compared with previous strategies.
BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: Relocation to new environments can have a negative impact on health by altering body weight and dietary patterns. This study attempted to elucidate changes in body weight, food security, and their current food and nutrient consumption in adult North Korean refugees (NKR) living in South Korea (SK). SUBJECTS/METHODS: This study analyzed data on 149 adult NKR from a North Korean refugee health in SK cohort at four time points (leaving North Korea, entering SK, first examination, and second examination). Body weight was self-reported at the two earlier time points and directly measured at the two later time points. Food security, diet-related behaviors (dietary habits and food consumption), and sociodemographic information were obtained using a self-administered questionnaire. Nutrient intake information was obtained by one-day 24-hour recall. Statistical analyses were performed with SPSS ver 23.0. RESULTS: Body weight increased during relocation by an average of 4 kg, although diversified patterns were observed during the settlement period in SK. Approximately 39.6% of subjects maintained their body weight between the first and second examinations, whereas 38.6% gained and 22.1% lost at least 3% of their body weight at the first examination by the second examination. Food security status improved from 12.1% food secure proportion to 61.7%. NKR showed generally good food and nutrient consumption (index of nutrient quality: 0.77-1.93). The body weight loss group showed the most irregular meal consumption pattern (P < 0.05), and eating-out was infrequent in all three groups. Consumption frequencies of food groups did not differ by group, except in the fish group (P = 0.036). CONCLUSION: This study observed considerable body weight adjustment during the settlement period in SK after initial weight gain, whereas food security consistently improved. More detailed understanding of this process is needed to assist healthy settlement for NKR in SK.

South Korea's economic growth was rapid, It was occasioned the concentration of resources in the metropolitan area. On the other hand, the province has a narrow economic base compared to the metropolitan area, and the underpopulation have been identified. Thus, The government announced the 'National balanced development law' in 2004 to reduce the problem of regional imbalances. The study collected data on 95 of relocated public institutions, and unlike previous studies, Mamquist analysis was used to compare the productivity before and after each public institutions' s relocation. The study focused on how the relocation of public institutions affected the productivity of public institutions through Malmquist Analysis. The results of the analysis show that productivity is declining after most public institutions have moved. And two independent samples T-test result, respective yearly average is nonsignificant.

The purpose of this study is to clarify the industrialization process, and locational factors and linkages of manufacturing in Jangyu-Myun, a suburb of Metropolitan Pusan, toward which heavy decentralization of manufacturing from Pusan has been done. Hard data and soft data were used as the basic data. Hard data used for this study were both the statistical data which consists of the number of establishments and employee classified by product type, firm size, organizational type and unit area(dong) which were listed in statistics yearbooks, and the list of the owner's names, addresses, employee number, products and headquarters of firms which were listed in firm directories. Soft data were the results of the interviews with the 53 owners of firms surveyed among the firms selected by Proportional Stratified Sampling Method. The major findings were as follows: (1) Manufacturing location in Jangyu-Myun was regularized in 1980's in which decentralization of manufacturing was activiated. Though the industrialization of study area resulted from the birth, relocation and establishment of branches of the firms originated from the other regions, the relocation of small outer-oriented firms from the central city was the most important factor among them. (2) The main locational factors which induced the decentralizing manufacturing from the central city into Jangyu-Myun are closely related to land, transportation, personal factor, raw material suppliers and market. (3) The differences of important locational factors by the size and organizational type of firms are relevant to the characteristics of manufacturing location. (4) The changes of linkages attendant upon locational changes of firms were not so great and were localized in labor supply and marketing. (5) The strength of linkages is strong in the procurement of materials, in the subcontraction and in the marketing, but not in the ordering. (6) The main factors influencing on the formation of linkages are different by the types of linkages: monopolistic and oligopolistic supply are important in procurement linkages; characteristics of products and production capacity in the subcontraction and ordering; characteristics of products and the subsequent difficulties, in the marketing. (7) With the exception of procurement linkages, the strength of linkages with the outside of the study area are stronger than the linkages with the inside. The strength of linkages with the outside has distance-decay-function and strong linkages with the central city. (8) These spatial characteristics of linkages are different by products type, firm size and organizational type of firms: the spatial ranges of linkages are wider in the multi-location firms than in the single-location firms; the larger the firm size, the wider the spatial range of linkages: there is no consistent trend by products type. In conclusion, some facts described above were proved to be consistent with the results of proceeding studies in the other areas: influence of central city manufacturing relocation on industrialization in the suburb: different decentralization by products type, firm size and organizational types of firms: different locational factors by products type, firm size and organizational types of firms; linkage changes attendant upon locational changes of firms; spatial differences of linkages by products type, firm size and organizational type of firms. Some other factors were proved to be partly consistent: locational factors and spatial characteristics of linkages. Accordingly I think that the results of previous studies on the other areas can be applicable to the explanation of the location and linkage of manufacturing in Jangyu-Myun. For the better explanation on the characteristics of manufacturing decentralization from the central city, more empirical case studies on the location and linkage of manufacturing in the suburb areas are necessary.

In the global IT market, a lot of issues for responding to various environmental regulations emerged. In case of the data centers, it is consuming huge amounts of energy to maintain. So there have been various technical attempts as Consolidation, Virtualization, Optimization to efficiently manage energy and data storage to fix the problems. In this paper, we propose a new RAID(Redundant Array of Independent Disks) mechanism which is differing the intensity of power consumption and works to provide data protection and disaster recovery(backup, mirroring etc.) to stratify multiple volumes. G-RAID minimize the power consumption and the lower of I/O performance by selecting the volume depending on the frequency of data access while classifying the power consumption between volumes in storage system. Also, it is possible that a filesystem and block map information of G-RAID is processed by basic unit which is group located in a row for the blocks to work efficiently and can minimize the performance degradation of block mapping load by the access frequency in each groups. As a result, we obtained to elevate a little bit of response time caused by block relocation work, but showed the decrease of power consumption by 38%.

In this paper, We propose a block reallocation algorithm for reducing network traffic in Hadoop cluster. The scheduler of Hadoop cluster receives a job from users. And the job is divided into multiple tasks assigned to nodes. At this time, the scheduler allocates the task to the node that satisfied data locality. If a task is assigned to the node that does not have the data(block) to be processed, the task is processed after the data transmission from another node. There is difference of workload among nodes because blocks in cluster have different access frequency. Therefore, the proposed algorithm relocates blocks according to the task allocation pattern of Hadoop scheduler. Eventually, workload of nodes are leveled, and the case of the task processing in a node that does not have the block to be processing is reduced. Thus, the network traffic of the cluster is also reduced. We evaluate the proposed block reallocation algorithm by a simulation. The simulation result shows maximum 23.3% reduction of network consumption than default delay scheduling for jobs processing.
