XPS DOCUMENTS AND THEIR APPLICATIONS IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY

  • This paper describes how using the XPS Document technologies of Windows Vista support and enhances interactions with the structural design and construction process. It illustrates the document workflows and the document life cycle in a typical construction base knowledge system. It provides engineers and decision makers and implementers with information about this new technology and how they can apply it to their design and construction models. The paper also highlights opportunities for the new format of data exchange in the recent efforts to develop National Management System Standards for Transportation Applications to benefit from these emerging technologies.

  • Effective maintenance system for national highway bridges has been requested due to increasing numbers of bridges. In this study, bridge data base is established in accordance with rating criteria for the structural conditions and functions of bridges. Maintenance system using PC-80386 hardware and ORACLE software is developed to rank the priority of either reconstruction or repairing of bridges and to provide with those information to bridge maintenance staff in order to perform bridge maintenance effectively. With this pre-establised data base and computerized maintenance system, data and information for planning of bridge construction could be obtained in times.

  • Actual construction data of completed projects can be utilized for the economic, time benefit of improving the efficiency on planning, designing, estimating and managing tasks in succeeding projects. But the lack of the system which accumulates and manages the actual data with standardized type, it has not performed well and stayed on early stage. It is required not only specific plan for the utilization of actual data but a construction information management system which collects and processes far-reaching data with standardized from based on facility. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to develop a construction information management system for Apartment housing ,which stored data along project feature database, actual cost database and actual database based on the Web. This effort can make an offer the clearness of dull construction market and the base of construction intelligence

  • The Nanjido Landfill has recently become one of the most important environmental sites for a hydrogeological study. Hydrogeological study was performed by understanding the current situation, analyzing hydrogeological information, and constructing a hydrogeological data base. The constructed data base was used for the analyses of several important phenomena in the Nanjido Landfill. Saturated hydraulic conductivity and underground temperature were measured. Based on the hydraulic conductivity and rainfall data, net infiltration rates were estimated. Leachate production rates are estimated by using the data base. The data base and a hydraulic model were used to understand the formation of the so called floating leachate layer.

  • The widespread introduction of unmanned aircrafts has led to the understanding of the need to organize a common information space for manned and unmanned aircrafts, which is reflected in the Russian Unmanned aircraft system Traffic Management (RUTM) project. The present article deals with the issues of spatial information database (DB) organization, which is the core of RUTM and provides storage of various data types (spatial, aeronautical, topographical, meteorological, vector, etc.) required for flight safety management. Based on the analysis of functional capabilities and types of work which it needs to ensure, the architecture of spatial information DB, including the base of source information, base of display settings, base of vector objects, base of tile packages and also a number of special software packages was proposed. The issues of organization of these DB, types and formats of data and ways of their display are considered in detail. Based on the analysis it was concluded that the optimal construction of the spatial DB for RUTM system requires a combination of different model variants and ways of organizing data structures.

  • Modern war is called as information war. So an Information Systems which operate hitech-weapon is evaluated important by the ARMY. As terrain analysis techniques we an essential element, computer-based terrain analysis techniques for the army are developed. This paper studies the method of tactical terrain analysis data base construction and presents cross-country mobility after analysis officer analysis overlayed terrain data. Also, Terrain information data base construction method is presented through this analysis, which planned a suitable plan of operations in order to mission accomplishment in normal times.

There is shortcoming that must be difficult to know correct underground utilities establishment state in-suite in this research and do comparison examination running parallel drilling investigation to heighten believability of electric resistivity survey. Did to dam that censure data that regulate grading from construction and is censure construction which can know correctly interior base situation comparatively to electricity medium of interior and electricity eruption won of contiguity and base condition (base rock).

  • A learning control method is proposed in this paper, using a knowledge base which contains control rules, data, and patterns of the past experience of a plant. The knowledge for plant control is retrieved from measurement data during operation and continually modified after control performance evaluation. A control method is proposed using tinually modified after control performance evaluation. A control method is proposed using fuzzy model of the plant and a recursive statistic decision method of fuzzy subset for control rule generation. Also, the resulting knowledge-based control algorithm has been applied to aprocess and its performance improvement and proper generation of appropriate control rules have been verified.
