캐빈형 콤바인의 시계성 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Visibility Evaluation for Cabin Type Combine)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a visibility evaluation system for cabin type combine. Human's field of view was classified into five levels (perceptive, effective, stable gaze, induced, and auxiliary) depending on rotation of human's head and eye. Divider, reaper lever, gearshift, dashboard, and conveying part were considered as major viewpoints of combine. Visibilities of combine was evaluated quantitatively using the viewpoints and the human's field of view levels. The visibility evaluation system for cabin type combine was consisted of a laser pointer, stepping motors to control the direction of view, gyro sensors to measure horizontal and vertical angle, and I/O interface to acquire the signals. Tests were conducted with different postures ('sitting straight', 'sitting with $15^{\circ}$ tilt', 'standing straight', and 'standing with $15^{\circ}$ tilt'). The LSD (least significant difference) multiple comparison tests showed that the visibilities of viewpoints were different significantly as the operator's postures were changed. The results showed that the posture at standing with $15^{\circ}$ tilt provided the best visibility for operators. The divider of the combine was invisible due to blocking with the cabin frame at many postures. The reaper lever showed good visibilities at the postures of sitting or standing with $15^{\circ}$ tilt. The gearshift, the dashboard, and the conveying part had reasonable visibilities at the posture of sitting with $15^{\circ}$ tilt. However, most viewpoints of the combine were out of the stable gaze field of view level. Modifications of the combine design will be required to enhance the visibility during harvesting operation for farmers' safety and convenience.

  • As online learning continues to be extended, many engineering colleges are engaged in online learning activities. One of the core competencies required of engineering students in a knowledge-convergence society is communication skills. Online discussion activities are frequently used in educational field to improve communication skills. Efforts are being made to provide visual dashboards in online discussion activity systems to more effectively support online discussion activities. However there is less qualitative studies on students' experience in discussion activities. The purpose of this study is to explore the experience of engineering students participating in discussion activities using online discussion systems and visual dashboards. We interviewed 15 students who participated in online discussion activities to achieve their research objectives about their experience in utilizing the online discussion system, their perception of visual dashboards, and their experience in discussion activities. As a result of the study, students' perception of the use of the online discussion activity system, the visual dashboard, and the perception of a sense of social presence were understood. To be more effective in providing tool support, such as discussion activity systems and visual dashboards in online discussion activities, instructors need to understand the nature of learners' online discussion activities.

제조업 경쟁사 분석을 통한 품질 개선 전략 수립: 대시보드 카메라 시장에 적용 (Quality Improvement Strategy Development based on Competitor Analysis of Manufacturing Companies: Application to the Dashboard Camera Market)

  • In a fiercely competitive environment, quality is a key factor that enables dashboard camera makers to maintain their competitive advantage. Quality affects consumer satisfaction, brand loyalty, and firm performance. Therefore, to remain competitive, it is important that manufacturers maintain product quality that meets consumer expectations. To this end, it is necessary to investigate customer preferences and product performance in terms of product quality and to properly allocate resources to improve the quality level such that the firm can maintain a competitive advantage. In this paper, we proposed the various ways in which manufacturing firms can determine which quality dimensions need improvement in order to secure competitiveness. To this end, we analyzed a case study of Urive to develop a quality improvement strategy through importance performance competitor analysis (IPCA). Urive's IPCA results showed that 14 quality dimensions, namely performance, size, price, ease of use, country of origin, manufacturer, brand, product certificate, warranty, distribution channel, market share, reliability, durability, and conformance, were not absolutely competitive compared with those of Mando, Inavi, and Finevu. In terms of color, Urive had an absolute competitive advantage over Mando, but not Inavi and Finevu. Urive's appearance was more competitive than Mando's, but not Inavi's and Finevu's. In terms of advertisement and serviceability, Urive was absolutely less competitive than Mando and Inavi, but had a competitive advantage over Finevu. Therefore, it is necessary to put resources and time as the first priority for performance, reliability, and durability, which have a large performance difference in common among the three brands. The quality dimensions in which resources and time need to be put in second place are price and ease of use, which have a large performance difference in common among the two brands.

  • 지하에 매설된 상·하수의 노후화를 관리하기 위한 환경부와 국내 지자체의 노력이 이어지고 있다. 한국환경산업기술원의 상·하수 혁신 기술 개발사업 지원으로 노후화에 따른 사고예측 및 교환시기 관리, 신규 매설 배관에 스마트 기능을 적용하는 사업을 진행하고 있다. 이러한 연구의 하나로 본 논문에서는 전체 연구의 핵심 특징 중 하나인 디지털 트윈 기반 스마트 파이프 상태 모니터링을 위한 대시보드 개념 모델의 설계를 제안하였다. 원격 제어와 모니터링이 주요 기능 중 하나이기 때문에 분산 송수신 에이전트를 배치해 모니터링 상황을 실시간으로 시각화하고 직관적인 UI를 배치해 사용자 친화력을 높혔다. 이 제안된 특수 디지털 트윈 기반 스마트 파이프 상태 모니터링의 설계를 검증하기 위해 개념 모델 수준을 구성하고 에이전트 효과를 측정하여 우수성을 검증하였다.

HyRAM+를 이용한 수소 누출 시뮬레이터 구현 (Inplementation of a Hydrogen Leakage Simulator with HyRAM+)

  • 수소는 청정, 무탄소, 고에너지등 다양한 특징을 가진 재생에너지원으로 국제적으로 '미래에너지'로 인정받고 있다. 수소에너지 산업의 급속한 발전과 더불어 수소 수요를 충족시키기 위하여 더 많은 수소 인프라가 필요한 실정이다. 그러나 수소 인프라 사고가 빈번한 발생함으로 인해, 수소산업 발전에 걸림돌이 되고 있다. 미국 Sandia National Laboratories에서 개발한 HyRAM+는 수소충전소를 포함한 다양한 저장 응용 분야에 대한 수소 안전 평가와 관련된 데이터와 방법을 통합하는 소프트웨어 툴킷이다. HyRAM+의 물리 모드는 수소충전소 컴포넌트에 따라 수소누출 결과를 모사하여 가스 플룸 분산, 제트 프레임 온도와 궤적 그리고 복사 열속 등을 그래프로 나타낸다. 본 논문에서는 강원도 삼척시에 있는 수소충전소를 대상으로하여 HyRAM+ 소프트웨어를 이용하여 수소 누출 데이터를 추출하였다. HyRAM+에서 추출한 데이터를 이용하여 수소 누출(Leakage) 발생 시뮬레이터를 개발하였다. 데이터베이스와 그라파나(Grafana)를 이용하여 시뮬레이터에서 발생한 데이터를 보여주는 대쉬보드(Dashboard)로 구현하였다.

Design of Remote Management System for Smart Factory

  • As a decrease in labor became a serious issue in the manufacturing industry, smart factory technology, which combines IT and the manufacturing business, began to attract attention as a solution. In this study, we have designed and implemented a real-time remote management system for smart factories, which is connected to an IoT sensor and gateway, for plastic manufacturing plants. By implementing the REST API in which an IoT sensor and smart gateway can communicate, the system enabled the data measured from the IoT sensor and equipment status data to the real-time monitoring system through the gateway. Also, a web-based management dashboard enabled remote monitoring and control of the equipment and raw material processing status. A comparative analysis experiment was conducted on the suggested system for the difference in processing speed based on equipment and measurement data number change. The experiment confirmed that saving equipment measurement data using cache mechanisim offered faster processing speed. Through the result our works can provide the basic framework to factory which need implement remote management system.

운전자 눈 위치를 이용한 사이드미러와 룸미러 자동조절시스템 (Automatic Side Mirror and Room Mirror Adjustment System using 3D Location of Driver′s Eyes)

  • This paper describes a mirror control system that can adjust the location of side and room mirror of the vehicle automatically using 3D coordinates to monitor the location of driver's eyes. Through analysis of the image inputted by two B/W CCD camera and infrared lamps installed on top of the driver's dashboard, we can estimate the values of 3D coordinate of the driver's eyes. Using these values, this system can determine the absolute position of each mirror and activate each actuator to the appropriate position. The stereo vision system can detect the driver's eyes whether it is day or night by virtue of infrared Lamps. We have tested this system using 10 drivers who drive a car currently, and most of the drivers were satisfied with the convenience of this system.

  • 대부분의 대학생들은 재학기간 중에 학교에서 운영되는 교육프로그램, 자원봉사, 어학연수, 동아리활동 등 다양한 경험을 하게 된다. 최근에는 학교에서 운영하는 교육프로그램이 더욱 다양해지고 많은 학생들이 참여하고 있다. 하지만 학교에서는 학생들이 어떤 활동을 했는지 효율적으로 관리하고 참여 학생의 적극적인 참여율 유도가 필요가 있지만, 이를 효율적으로 관리하는 것은 어려운 일이다. 본 연구는 학교에서 시행중인 다양한 프로그램들에 대하여 학생들이 참여함에 따라 학생들의 참여현황을 조사하여 관리하고 참여율과 학과별 통계를 Dashboard로 열람할 수 있는 프로그램을 개발하여 운영하였다. 교육 참여 관리 시스템을 활용함으로써 담당자의 업무 효율을 기대할 수 있고 체계적인 학생들의 교육 프로그램을 효율적으로 모니터링하고 관리할 것으로 기대된다.

Al 소재의 자동차용 Oil Pressure Switch의 신뢰도 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Reliability Analysis of Al Oil Pressure Switch for Automobiles)

  • The oil pressure switch(OPS) for automobile is very important part to prevent an overheated engine and other problems by checking the operation of an engine oil system and displaying oil signs on a dashboard. OPS is the part that receives various stress caused by temperature, vibration, and corrosion in an engine room. Regarding existing steel OPS cases, there occur field errors due to the rust, and much concern comes from the low anticorrosion caused by CR6+ Free according to the restrictions of heavy metals. Therefore, the study analyzed average life, the failure rate, and reliability through the tests of performance according to temperature changes, mechanical strength, and run-test in order to confirm if the use of the oil pressure switch with Al of anti-corrosion can improves the reliability, instead of the existing steel products.

  • Parse Server는 오픈소스 백엔드 서비스를 제공함으로 IoT 최적의 서비스 플랫폼이며, 개발자에게 프론트 엔드 개발 집중이 가능하도록 일련의 도구를 제공한다. 본 논문에서는 교육용 활용 사례 개발을 위해 Parse Server를 오픈소스 기반의 게임과 연동하여, 게임 랭킹 서비스 시스템 구현을 통해 IoT 시스템 프로그래밍 교육 콘텐츠로의 가능성 확인을 목표로 한다. 구현 결과는 게임 랭킹의 변화를 Parse Dashboard를 통하여 확인하였다.
