This study is to contribute to the policy decision of cosmetic industry through analyzing marketing mix factors which affects customers' buying intention. For this study, marketing mix factors that impact on cosmetic customers purchasing intention were collected and chi-square independence analysis of SPSS and qualitative analysis technology of Kano & Timko were used. Analysis reached one conclusion, which factors were maximizing customers satisfaction, shows the price discount policy and recommendation from family and colleague. Product's effectiveness, usefulness and skin compatibility were rated as an one-dimensional quality as those factors were linearly affected when customers needs were satisfied. However product's containers, package design, colors, brand reputation, low and middle price, distribution channel and advertising medias were investigated as an indifferent quality and they were rated as low satisfaction/dissatisfaction coefficient of Timko. Therefore they do not need to invest to those factors too much budget for attaining customers' buying intention.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the service quality attributes of Korean restaurants by North American and Chinese residents in Korea based on the Kano model. This survey was performed from September to December 2010. The subjects consisted of 135 North Americans and 165 Chinese in Seoul. The service quality attributes of Korean restaurants were composed of twenty three items in the categories of 'food quality', 'employee's service quality', 'sanitation quality', 'facility quality', and 'convenience quality'. For North Americans, there were five 'attractive quality' items, eleven 'one-dimensional quality' items and six 'indifferent quality' items, and one item had the same frequency on both 'attractive quality' and 'one-dimensional quality'. For the Chinese, there were twelve 'attractive quality' items, and ten 'one-dimensional quality' items, and one item had the same frequency on 'attractive quality' and 'one-dimensional quality'. According to the customer satisfaction coefficient developed by Timko, 'taste of the 'food (0.80)' for North Americans and 'freshness of the ingredients (0.94)' for Chinese were highest scores in the 'Better coefficient'. On the other hand, within the 'Worse coefficient', 'sanitation of the food' had the lowest score for both North Americans (-0.89) and Chinese (-0.90).
Non-face-to-face classes continue due to Covid-19. There have been e-learning classes since the past, but the difference is that the current non-face-to-face classes are blended classes that combine real-time and recording classes or combine face-to-face and non-face classes. It is also characterized by being able to self-filmed or choose various lecture platforms in a place other than a dedicated studio. The advantages of non-face-to-face classes can be learned beyond time and space, and repetitive viewing and learning speed can be adjusted. Greening classes have no time and place constraints, and real-time classes have the advantage of high communication effects with learners. Evaluating whether non-face-to-face classes provide sufficient quality compared to face-to-face classes or e-learning will be necessary if branded classes are considered for post Covid. In this paper, for the evaluation of the service quality of non-face-to-face classes, the essential attributes desired by the instructors were derived from the viewpoint of Kano quality attributes and a quality improvement plan was proposed. After expressing the degree of functions that non-face-to-face classes should have on the X-axis and the satisfaction of learners on the Y-axis, 23 quality attributes were classified into 6 quality dimensions. In addition, satisfaction coefficient, dissatisfaction coefficient, and customer satisfaction improvement index were derived. As a result, 50% of learners were satisfied with non-face-to-face classes, but the preference was slightly higher than satisfaction, suggesting the sustainability of non-face-to-face classes. In terms of the customer satisfaction improvement index, the ranking of attributes with the largest increase in satisfaction when improving class quality was as follows. Professors' quick answers to learners' questions, content that can fully explain the subject, what the professor explains easily, develop high-quality content that can be learned on mobile phones, fairness of attendance checks, and real-time classes should start on time.

This study examined the factors affecting submarine crews' turnover intention. This study reviewed previous research-related turnover in military organizations. The measurement was designed based on the Kano model, which was originally used to survey the customers' satisfaction with a service or a product. The authors conducted a questionnaire survey of 408 submarine crew, from 1, Nov to 30, Nov, 2013. The results showed that the factors that impact the submarine crews' turnover were the sense of insecurity due to the a poor working environment of the submarine, physical risks due to the water pressure, anxiety due to the closed space, and insecure rank-limited promotion system. The paper discusses the implications of the results from the perspective of military social welfare and provides recommendations for setting up the policy for submarine crews' welfare based on the study result.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the performance-oriented culture of a community welfare center on the job performance of its social workers. For that purpose, the study conducted a survey by mail with 1,162 social workers working for community welfare centers around Busan and Gyeongnam Province from January 4 to 31, 2013. Of the collected questionnaires, a total of 755 from 81 community welfare centers were used in the final analysis. This study used the SPSS 21.0, AMOS 21.0, and HLM 6.02 statistical software packages to perform data analysis for each hypothesis. The analysis results of the unconditional model of the hierarchical linear model, the unconditional random coefficient model, and the conditional model show that the job satisfaction and organizational commitment of social workers had positive (+) effects on their job performance. Secondly, customer orientation, one of the sub-elements of performance-oriented culture, had positive (+) effects on the job performance of social workers, whereas the result orientation had negative (-) effects on it. In addition, innovation orientation had no impacts on their job performance. Based on those findings, the study proposed management plans for organizational culture to enhance the job performance of social workers.
The universal form of life in the era of the 4th industrial revolution can probably be summarized as the keyword "non-face-to-face". In particular, in terms of consumption activities, face-to-face contact is gradually changing to a system that minimizes, and offline stores are rapidly changing to non-contact services through kiosks and robots. The social structure is also changing with the passage of time, and most fundamentally, our dietary consumption patterns are changing. In particular, the increase in single-person households and the aging population are having a great impact on changes in the food service industry, which is closely related to dietary life. The HMR (Home Meal Replacement) market has grown significantly as the labor of cooking at home has decreased and the use of substitute foods has increased. As the size of the market has grown, the types of businesses that provide products have also diversified. The development of technology, non-face-to-face culture, and corporate management efficiency are intertwined, and unmanned stores are spreading recently. In this study, service quality attributes of HMR unmanned stores, where competition is gradually intensifying, are classified, and service quality classification using the Kano model and Timko's customer satisfaction coefficient are calculated to provide implications for service management based on customer satisfaction. As a result of the analysis, 'products with short cooking time' and 'variety of products (menu)' were classified as attractive qualities, and 'cleanliness inside/outside of the store' and 'products at reasonable prices' were classified as unified quality. In addition, 'convenience of self-checkout process' was classified as a natural quality, and 'convenience of in-store passage' was classified as an indifferent quality. Furthermore, when the service factor was satisfied within the HMR unmanned store, the factor with the highest satisfaction coefficient was 'product (menu) variety', and the factor with the highest dissatisfaction factor was 'convenience of self-checkout process'. Through the results of this study, it is intended to derive priorities in service quality management of HMR unmanned stores and provide strategic implications for related businesses.
To achieve these goals constituent dimensions and structural elements of the Japanese restaurants service quality are being investigated through the review of the food service industry and service. The survey about the importance and the Japanese restaurants was also conducted with a questionnaire to identify the tendency of customers who visited restaurants. These results and satisfactions hypotheses are being tested in the restaurant and the empirical research aye both conducted to achieve time research purposes. Japanese restaurants, located in the metropolitan area, are being selected as the object limits of the survey. Eighty-seven questionnaires are being distributed three kinds restaurants which means total 250 for all, and from which 230 are being analyzed. Frequency and $\chi$$^2$test were applied for the general matters and the conditions of object while Cronbach's Alpha coefficient and factor analysis were applied for reliability and validity. t-test was attempted to fine the importance and the satisfaction of the service quality. Also ANOVA was utilized. After examining the results of this survey, few facts were apparent. First the number of male ana female customers in the Japanese restaurants are divided evenly in about 55% of male customers and 45% of female customers. However, these people have a wide variety of jos. Another evident fact present on this survey shows that customers eating at a less expensive restaurants have a income of 1,000,000 won where as the expensive or high-end restaurants have customers with higher income than average. The price sensitive customers studied in this survey shows that they spend on average 30,000 to 70,000 won per person in the less expensive establishments. Therefore, with some service quality restructuring, application of new systems and ideas these restaurants could efficiently maximize their profit margin. Customers also showed that lower prices in lunch time would be an appealing incentive to deviate from standard lunch time 〈12:00~13:00〉and menu specials would be of interest to deviate from busy dinner time. In conclusion, since restaurants in the middle range category are not so many restaurants in lower range have a chance to maximize their profit. This study clearly shows that even the lower-end restaurants could raise their profit margin by incorporating new marketing techniques and by improving the service level of their restaurants.
This study was conducted to assess factors associated with the degree of performance of qualify improvement(QI) activities. A mailed questionnaire survey was conducted between September 15 and October 30, 2000, with the staffs being charge of QI at each of the hospitals with 400 beds or greater. Of the 108 hospitals eligible for inclusion in our study, 79 participated, yielding a response rate of 73.1%. After excluding 12 hospitals that did not perform any QI activities, 117 responses from 67 hospitals were used for the analysis. Using the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Criteria(MBNQAC), perceived performance of QI was measured in terms of the improvement of the quality of clinical practice, clinical supporting department, administrative procedure of receiving care, customer satisfaction, efficiency and standardization of work process. Factors evaluated for the association were the extent of QI implementation, compliance to 5 QI principles, participation of hospital CEOs, budget allocation, history of QI, and bed size. Path analysis was performed to assess the relationship between QI performance and these factors. Major findings of this study are as follows. Hospitals showing higher degree of QI implementation (path coefficient=0.5967, p<0.001)) and better compliance with the basic principes of QI(0.5736, p<0.05) tended to achieve better performance. Path analysis results showed that interest and participation of hospital CEOs(0.1954, p<0.05) and compliance with the basic principes of QI(0.4028, p<0.0001) indirectly affected the outcomes of QI by influencing the intermediate variable of the level of QI implementation. This study results suggest that having employees have a good orientation of the basic concept and principes of QI through relevant training be the most important requirement to achieve better outcomes from QI activities. In addition, to educate leaders of hospitals the need of active implementation of QI is important to encourage their participation and draw strong support for QI programs.
The purpose of this study is to classify the attributes of culinary educational quality by using the Kano model. This study carried out literary research and empirical analysis. Data were collected among 486 students whose major is culinary arts and analyzed with SPSS 19.0 and EXCEL 2007. It classified culinary educational quality by employing the Kano model and modified the Better and Worse quotients suggested by Timko. The results of the study are as follows. First, it was found that total 25 attributes could be classified into 17 Attractive quality attributes, 2 Must-be quality attributes and 6 Indifferent quality attributes, while One-dimensional quality, Reverse quality and Questionable quality attributes were not found. Second, according to the Better and Worse quotient by Timko, "Objective instructor's evaluation" item was the highest score in the Better quotient. On the other hand, the "Having foreign professors" item is the lowest in the Worse quotient. Third, marketing implications and limitations were discussed.
This study was designed to investigate the correlation between perceived TQM performance and organizational culture of dietitians. The objective of the study is to help the management of foodservice by providing a direction which will elevate perceived TQM performance of dietitians and presenting plans which will ensure effective dietitians. Questionnaires handed out to 308 dietitians worked in institutional foodservice operation including elementary, middle and high schools, hospitals, business and industries. In terms of TQM importance and performance, the more important dietitians perceived, the higher their performance level rose. Data form the IPA, external and internal customer satisfaction, executive ability, communication system and technology, information technology and application ability, food process, strategy, and leadership were required further improvement by dietitians. Of present organizational culture model, human relations model and open systems model were more likely to be adopted by dietitians in middle and high schools. According to the type of foodservice management, the open systems model was more preferred by dietitians from self-operated operations rather than respondents from contracted operations. Canonical correlation analysis between TQM performance and organizational culture showed canonical correlation to be higher (canonical correlations coefficient: .66). In conclusion, TQM performance-organizational culture showed higher canonical correlation. In the organizational culture, foodservice operation is capable of improving the aims for the rational goal model and the open systems model. The results showed that TQM performance and organizational culture had significant relationship, especially positive organizational culture emphasizing on internal process and rational goal model would have influence on TQM performance of dietitians. Foodservice operation, however, should recognize importance of open and development culture to improve dietitians' TQM performance. To apply open system foodservice organization should encourage dietitian and foodservice employees to challenge and compete for the works, Moreover, organizational effort such as information exchange program and support system should be established.
