  • As digital technology converges into the e-commerce market across industries, online transactions have activated, and the use of online has increased. With the recent spread of infectious diseases such as COVID-19, this market flow is accelerating, and various product information can be provided to customers online. Providing a variety of information provides customers with various opportunities but causes difficulties in decision-making. The recommendation system can help customers to make a decision more effectively. However, the previous research on recommendation systems is limited to only quantitative data and does not reflect detailed factors of products and customers. In this study, we propose an intelligent recommendation system that quantifies the attributes of products and customers by applying text mining techniques to qualitative data based on online reviews and integrates the existing objective indicators of total star rating, sentiment, and emotion. The proposed integrated recommendation model showed superior performance to the overall rating-oriented recommendation model. It expects the new business value to be created through the recommendation result reflecting detailed factors of products and customers.

  • Online consumer reviews provide a variety of information from the customer perspective in terms of satisfaction and dissatisfaction. Negative emotional expression is a potential antecedent of review usefulness, and can also influence potential consumers' attitudes and decisions. In addition, because national culture provides a perspective from which individuals view the world and act, it is highly likely that differences in negative emotional expression will occur depending on culture. This study explores the relationship between national culture and negative emotional expression based on impression management theory and ultimately analyzes the impact on review usefulness. For empirical analysis, 16,076 reviews of 140 hotels located in Seoul were collected and analyzed using the PLS-SEM method. As a result of the analysis, it was found that power distance and masculinity culture dimensions had a positive effect on reviewers' negative emotional expressions, while uncertainty avoidance and long-term orientation had a negative effect. In addition, negative emotional expression was analyzed to have a positive effect on review usefulness even when review ratings were controlled.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of corporate social responsibility on organizational identification and customer orientation by flight attendants. In this study, 2 hypotheses based on literature reviews were employed. Questionnaire was also developed based on previous studies. A convenience sample of 217 flight attendants was surveyed and 203 usable questionnaires were analyzed. Corporate social responsibility was divided into economic responsibility, legal responsibility, ethical responsibility, philanthropic responsibility by the literature review. Confirmatory factor analysis were conducted to validate the measured variables. Then the data and hypotheses were examined using structural equation modeling (SEM) by AMOS. The results are as follows. Firstly, 'economic responsibility' and 'philanthropic responsibility' have positive effect on organizational identification while 'legal responsibility' and 'ethical responsibility' have no effect on 'organizational identification'. As for the degree of influence, 'philanthropic responsibility' has a greater impact than 'economic responsibility'. Airlines should focus on the responsibility to the community as well as social contribution. Secondly, 'organizational identification' has positive effect on customer orientation. The contribution and limitations of this research were discussed and the future possible researches were mentioned.

  • After SERVQUAL was proposed as a measure of perceived service quality, several arguments have been made against its validity and some competing measures have been developed. This paper reviews those controversies. Particularly, it compares the concept of expectation in the research of service quality with that in the research of satisfaction, re-purchase intention and suggests the authors' opinion. In addition, the paper suggests sequential casual relations among expectation, perceived performance and perceived service quality. With the help of previous researches concerning "SERVQUAL" and the related topics, six variables concerning travel services were identified. The six variables are tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurances, empathy and costs. Seven hypotheses were developed using these variables. The review of literature covers service's concept, model and method of service quality evaluation, and relationship among the concepts which is related to the service quality. The results of our study suggest further research is necessary to clarify which one is a better tool because we have a conflicting research outcome in terms of model fitting. The study also shows that assurances and costs have positive effect on customer satisfaction. It also turned out that customer satisfaction has positive effect on repurchase intention.

  • According to the government's policy to demonstrate and expand the renewable energy sources, distributed generators such as PV and WP are installed and operated in distribution systems. However, there are many issues related to power quality problems including over voltage and under voltage of customers. In order to overcome these problems, the electric power company have installed a step voltage regulator (SVR) in primary feeders interconnected with distributed generators, and also have established the technical guidelines for the distributed generators to stabilize the customer voltages in distribution systems. However, it is difficult to maintain the customer voltages within allowable limit. Therefore, this paper reviews the problems of voltage control by SVR in a distribution systems interconnected with a large amount of PV systems, and proposes characteristics of operating range and voltage control limit of the small hydropower generators. Also, with the estimation of the influence to the power system voltages from the voltage control mode of generators, this paper proposes the optimal voltage control algorithm of the small hydropower generators. By programming the proposed algorithm into control simulator of exciter, it is confirmed that the proposed algorithm can contribute the voltage stabilization in distribution systems interconnected with large scaled PV systems.
