The results are as follows: First, the hypothetical model of multidimensional consumer commitment which showed a better fit of data than the rival model is unintentionally conceptualized. Second, the result showed that the affective commitment did the most effective role among the three dimensions of commitment consulted in this study. • Purpose - This research is to empirically explore the differences in apparel consumption among male and female teenagers and college students in Korea and China. By conducting a survey to understand customers' needs and behaviors, fashion businesses will be able to improve their customer satisfaction and avoid redundancy, inventory, and the waste of resources, effort and money. Design/methodology - The research design considers the consumption patterns of male and female high school and college students in Korea and China. To analyze the data, the study employs decision trees, a type of machine learning algorithm. A decision tree model was developed to examine the relationship between the explanatory and response variables, which can be either quantitative or qualitative in nature. Findings - The main findings of this study indicate that there are differences in shopping behavior among different customer segments. The results show that men have a simpler shopping behavior compared to women. Additionally, cultural factors and the difference in fashion needs between students and non-students have a significant impact on the shopping choices of Chinese and Korean individuals. Originality/value - Existing studies often assume that the shopping behavior of high school and university students is similar and that there are no significant differences in clothing purchases between men and women across countries. The results provide valuable insights into the unique shopping behavior of different customer segments, and can inform fashion businesses in their efforts to meet the needs of their customers.

  • The main objectives of this study are to compare the regional differences and to analyse the affecting factors of customer satisfaction. The subjects are 9 hospitals(5 Daegu region, 4 Seoul region) patient satisfaction index that were surveyed the 2004 Hospital Accreditation Program performed by KHIDI(Korea Health Industry Development Institute) and MOHW(Ministry of Health and Welfare). The sample used in this study consisted of 450 inpatients and 454 outpatients. The survey instrument is composed of physical environment items, physician factors, nursing staff factors, ancillary staff factors, administrative procedure items, and quality of hospital stay items. And overall satisfaction, intent to revisit, and intent to recommend as dependent variables are measured. Basically, the reliability and validity of survey items was evaluated. And the T-test was performed to compare regional differences of customer satisfaction. Finally to analyse the affecting factors on overall satisfaction, and customer loyalty(intent to revisit and intent to recommend), the multiple regression analysis was used. This study shows firstly, the Daegu region's patient satisfaction level of inpatients and outpatients is lower than Seoul region. Especially, nursing staff factors and quality of hospital stay items are very low on inpatient's satisfaction. Also all independent variables except the sufficiency of goods in hospital stand are very low on outpatient's satisfaction. Secondly, as a result of multiple regression analysis, ancillary staff factors(Beta=0.281) have a significant effect on overall satisfaction of inpatient cases in Daegu region. In regard to intent to revisit and intent to recommend, physical environment factors have a significant effect. Thirdly, in Seoul region, physical environment factors(Beta=0.430) have a significant effect on overall satisfaction of inpatient cases. In regard to intent to revisit and intent to recommend, administrative procedure items and nursing staff factors have a significant effect, respectively. In conclusion, these results indicate that hospitals in Daegu region make an effort to improve the customer satisfaction level, especially, of physical environment factors on inpatients and administrative procedure factors on outpatients

  • The purposes of this study were to measure the service mind and customer orientation of employees and to identify the effect of service mind on customer orientation in elementary school foodservices. The questionnaires were distributed to foodservice employees of the 19 elementary schools, but collected from 12 schools in Gwangju, Gyeonggi. The statistical data analysis was completed using SPSS (ver. 18.0) for the independent sample t-test, ANOVA, Cronbach's alpha, principal component analysis, hierarchical & K-means cluster analysis, Pearson' correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. Foodservice employees highly rated their service mind (3.94 out of 5 points), especially their perceptions on the importance of service (4.13 points). The effort to provide service was significantly different depending on the serving place (P<0.05). Employees had a high level of customer orientation (4.02 points), which was significantly influenced by age, position, or career (P<0.05), and cook license (P<0.01). As a result of cluster analysis for service mind, employees were divided into two groups: a low-service mind group (cluster 1) and a high-service mind group (cluster 2). Cluster 2 had a significantly higher overall customer orientation than cluster 1 (P<0.001). The pride in providing services (${\beta}$=0.390, P<0.01) and the perception of the importance of services (${\beta}$=0.297, P<0.05) showed a significant and positive effect on customer orientation.

  • This paper conducted an empirical study to identify the causal relationship of factors affecting the purchase intention of automobiles from the customer's point of view. This study sets the purchase intention as a result variable and constructs a causal model with brand image, product attributes (exdogenous variable), and customer value (endogenous variable) as a cause that affects purchase intention. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, the symbolic image of the brand was found to have a very significant effect on customer value (p=0.01), and the external attribute of the product also had a significant effect on customer value (p=0.1). Second, customer value was found to have a very significant effect on purchase intention (p=0.01), and the functional image of the brand also had a significant effect on purchase intention (p=0.1). Third, there is a strong positive (+) correlation between the functional image of the brand and the symbolic image of the brand, the intrinsic attribute of the product, and the external attribute of the product, and also between the symbolic image of the brand and the intrinsic attribute of the product and There was also a positive (+) correlation between extrinsic attributes. Therefore, in order to increase customer value, automobile manufacturing companies have a functional value of products from a customer-oriented perspective. It is judged that every effort should be made to maintain a lasting relationship by grasping the values of customers, which are social values, emotional values, situational values, and cognitive values.

  • Customer-company (C-C) identification is the perceived fit between the identities of a consumer and an organization. If a consumer identifies with a company that places a high priority on being socially responsible, a consumer who also values social responsibility may support and patronize that business because of the link between something that is important to both them and the company. Because C-C identification may explain the success of cause-related marketing (CRM) in the fashion industry, we investigated the effect of an image resulting from CRM on ratings of brand attributes (e.g., distinctiveness, credibility, attractiveness), identification with the brand, attitude toward the brand, and customer loyalty. Participants also responded to open-ended questions reflecting their rationale for their ratings of brand attributes. Data were collected from a convenience sample of undergraduates (n = 228) enrolled at Midwestern University in the U.S. Structural equation modeling revealed that as ratings of the social responsibility of the cause-related marketing effort increased so did perceptions of the brand's distinctiveness, credibility, and attractiveness. Participants identified with a brand when they rated the brand as attractive. Participants' identification with a brand had a significant impact on attitudes toward the brand and customer loyalty (e.g., purchase intention, willingness to spread positive word-of-mouth). Content analyses of open-ended responses supported the idea that brand images stemming from CRM exert an important influence on consumer's ratings of brand attributes. Fashion marketers interested in cause-related marketing will find success with efforts that increase customer identification.
