In this paper, we give a representation formula for an isotropic curve with pseudo arc length parameter and define the structure function of such curves. Using the representation formula and the Frenet formula, the isotropic Bertrand curve and k-type isotropic helices are characterized in the 3-dimensional complex space $\mathbb{C}^3$.

A model for DMFC anode performance is developed. The model takes into account potential--independent methanol adsorption on the catalyst surface, finite rate of proton transport through the anode catalyst layer (ACL), and a potential loss due to methanol transport in the anode backing layer. An approximate analytical half--cell polarization curve is derived and equations for the anode limiting current density are obtained. The polarization curve is fitted to the curves measured by Nordlund and Lindbergh and parameters resulted from the fitting are discussed.

Using the normalized sample Lorenz curve which is introduced by Kang and Cho (2001), we propose the test statistics for testing of normality that is very important test in statistical analysis and compare the proposed test with the other tests in terms of the power of test through by Monte Carlo method. The proposed test is more power than the other tests except some cases

HEC-RAS model is used for estimation of rating-curve of Musung in Wi stream. Discharge is computed from stage estimated by HEC-RAS model, is compared with the discharge of water surface slope method. The relative deviation of observed and computed discharge is 5.37%, and shows as a good results. A rating-curve by HEC-RAS model shows better results than by water surface slope method.

In order to determine procedures for a, pp.opriate model selection of technological growth curves, numerous time series that were representative of growth behavior were collected according to data characteristics. Three different growth curve models were fitted onto data sets in an attempt to determine which growth curve models achieved the best forecasts for types of growth data. The analysis of the results gives rise to an a, pp.oach for selecting a, pp.opriate growth curve models for a given set of data, prior to fitting the models, based on the characteristics of the goodness of fit test.

The paper deals with the degenerate parabolic system with nonlinear boundary flux. By constructing the self-similar supersolution and subsolution, we obtain the critical global existence curve. The critical Fujita curve is conjectured with the aid of some new results.

Absolute Lorenz curve plays an important role for measuring absolute income inequality. Properties of absolute Lorenz curve are listed. Asymptotically distribution free and consistent tests have been proposed for comparing two absolute Lorenz curves in the whole interval [P1, P2] where 0 < P1 < P2 < 1. Absolute Lorenz ordering has been discussed for some distributions.

We shall derive the MLE and UMVUE of Lorenz Curve and Gini Index in a Pareto distribution with the pdf(1.1) and their variances. And compare mean square errors(MSE) of the MLE and UMVUE of the Lorenz Curve and Gini Index in a Pareto distribution with pdf(1.1).

CURVE SQUEAL NOISE IS THE INTENSE HIGH FREQUENCY TONAL THAT CAN OCCUR WHEN A RAILWAY VEHICLE TRAVERSES A CURVE OR A SWITCH. THE HIGH NOISE LEVEL CAUSES ANNOYANCE FOR PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD OF THE SQUEALING RAILWAY TRACK AS WELL AS FOR THE PASSENGERS IN CARS WITH CURVES. THIS PAPER EXAMINES THE SPECTRAL SOUND DISTRIBUTION IN CURVES FOR KTX TRAIN. THE FREQUENCY RANGE IS FROM AROUND 4,000 TO ALMOST 16,000Hz, WITH NOISE LEVELS UP TO 92dB IN CURVE R400.

In this study, Curve dependent wheel flange lubricator with grease spray type is investigated and estimated a point of view reducing wheel flange wear and noise in the curve through field test on korean rail. Advantage of curve dependent wheel flange lubricator with grease spray type is found on the basis of the result of field test in comparison with oil spray type lubricator and wheel without wheel flange lubricator on railroad in Korea.
