어린이 디자인 창의성 개발을 위한 D.I.Y 가구 만들기 프로그램 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Furniture Making Program Development for Children's Designing Creativity)

  • School activities which are opened after-school or during a vacation have been social issues as our society is nuclearized and both parents are working, so that elementary school students and middle school students are less taken care of and less concerned by their parents. It is regrettable that students are spending too much time on private academies in the situation where they cannot help but staying alone after school and where frantic fever of private education pervades their lives. For the sake of those students, the Ministry of Education announced, "Each school can open its after-school programs or vacation programs based on students and their parents' demands making it a rule of a student's voluntary participation. After school programs for elementary and middle school students are operated by local communities providing extra courses or programs in addition to regular classes. Those programs are paid by participants or supported by financial aids in order to decrease parents' burdens of costs of private education and to reduce educational gaps between rich and poor children or between the regions. After school programs are either curricular or non-curricular educational activities with students' voluntary participation, and the programs are meant to supplement and strengthen the role of public school education. Non-curricular courses that consist of various programs, in particular, are receiving good reputations by students and parents. Therefore, this study develops and operates "children's making D.I.Y. furniture" program that is one of non-curricular courses and an activity-oriented art program for children to improve their designing creativity and to help them experience their future jobs in advance. The purpose of this study is to analyze advantages and disadvantages of the program using survey and assessment methods and to find out a developmental direction focused on future-oriented and specialized educational programs for children.

2016년에 공표한 일본의 학습지도요령과 2015 개정 교육과정 총론의 구성 분석 (An analysis of the 2016 government guidelines for teaching of Japan and the outline of the 2015 revised curriculum of Korea)

  • 본 연구는 2016년 공표한 일본의 학습지도요령과 2015 개정 교육과정 총론의 구성 방식을 비교하기 위한 목적이 있다. 양국의 국가 수준 교육과정 구성을 비교하기 위해 구성 체계, 구체적인 내용과 더불어 정보과 교육의 중요성에 대한 흐름을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 일본은 학습지도요령의 개정 원인, 목적, 목표 달성 방법 등을 제시함으로써, 해당 문서에 대한 당위성이 강조되었다. 한국은 총론과 각론의 분절적 개발에서 비롯된 괴리가 문서상에서도 파악되었고, 시대적 흐름이나 교과의 변화를 고려하지 않은 교육과정의 구성 및 방향설정의 오류를 발견할 수 있었다. 교육과정이 내용에 대한 충분성과 시대적 상황을 반영한 교육을 지원하기 위해서는 전체 프레임에 대한 개선이 필요함을 제언하였다. 내용에 대한 인식 없이 프레임을 구성하는 것은 교육에 대한 목적과 방향을 제대로 설정할 수 없음에 대한 성찰을 제공했다는 데 본 연구의 의의가 있다.

초등학교 고학년 학생의 과외학습에 따른 스트레스와 정신건강 (Stress and Mental Health by Extracurricular Learning in upper Grade Elementary School Students)

  • Purpose: In an attempt to investigate the differences in the level of stress & mental health between extracurricular learning group and non-extracurricular learning group and level of stress and mental health by the extracurricular learning-related characteristics, this study was carried out in upper grade elementary students. Method: The subjects were 241 students living in 4 small towns in 4th, 5th and 6th grade elementary students. The data were collected by using the questionnaires, and analyzed by SPSS/WIN 12.0 program. Results: First, 64.7% of subjects were receiving extra-curricular learning, and extracurricular learning contents were the main curriculum and foreign language classes in many cases. Second, there were no differences in the level of stress and mental health between extracurricular learning group and non-extracurricular learning group, but also in the area of stress as physical, mental, emotional and behavioral stress. Third, extra-curricular learning satisfaction and learning effects are the major factor affecting mental and emotional stress and mental health. In other words, the group with high satisfaction and effectiveness by extra-curricular learning was less mentally and emotionally stressed and better for mental health than low group. Also, days per week for extracurricular learning affected physical stress and intention to continue extracurricular learning affected mental stress. Fourth, factors affecting whether the intention to continue extracurricular learning were the sex, decision-makers about whether they receive extracurricular learning, extracurricular learning satisfaction and duration of extracurricular learning. Conclusion: From the above results, The fact that the upper grade elementary school students receiving the extracurricular learning did not affect on the stress and mental health. In case of extracurricular group, the effectiveness and satisfaction about extra-curricular learning were major factors affecting mental and emotional stress as well as mental health.

대학 신입생들의 학교생활만족도와 학업성취도 간의 상관관계 분석 사례연구 (A case study on correlations between college life satisfaction and achievement during freshmen year)

  • 최근 한국사회에서는 고등교육을 받은 대학 졸업생들이 재학기간 동안 적정한 수준의 학업성취와 역량개발, 현장에 적용 가능한 능력을 갖추고 졸업하는지에 대해 비판적으로 논의되면서, 고등교육기관에서의 교육의 질 제고를 위해 노력하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 대학 신입생들의 실제 필요가 무엇이고 그 필요를 채울 수 있는 교과, 비교과과정 구성 및 대학생활의 전반적인 만족도를 높일 수 있는 방안을 모색하려고 한다. 지난 5년간 H대학교 신입생들의 학교생활 만족도와 학업성취도와의 관계를 다양한 분야로 나누어 파악한 결과를 기반으로 대학 신입생들의 대학생활에 대한 기대와 그 기대에 부응하는 프로그램들을 제안한다. 5년간 설문 분석한 결과 첫째, 교양과목의 수업만족도가 높을수록 학생들의 학업성취도는 높다. 둘째, 인성교육 만족도와 학업성취도는 통계적으로 유의미한 관계가 없다. 셋째, 시간관리 분포와 학업성취도는 상관관계가 있다.

범교과 학습주제를 적용한 진로독서 프로그램 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Career Reading Program Applying Cross-curricular Learning Themes)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 교과 교육과정과 연계할 수 있는 범교과 학습주제의 성취기준을 분석하고, 학교도서관에 활용할 수 있는 진로독서와 관련된 프로그램을 개발하고 적용하는 데 있다. 이러한 연구의 목적을 위해 첫째, 2015 개정 교육과정의 범교과 학습주제를 10개 주제로 범주화하고, 진로교육의 세부 내용요소를 통합적으로 다룰 수 있는 범교과 학습 활동을 통해 독서교육 프로그램과 연계하여 수업모형을 설계하였다. 둘째, 중학생 5개 반 137명을 대상으로 한 학기 동안 범교과 기반의 진로독서 수업모형을 통해 자기이해, 진로탐색, 진로설계 영역의 진로독서 수업을 실행하였다. 셋째, 연구의 분석을 위해 진로독서 평가 자료를 구축하여 분석하였으며 일화기록과 체크리스트의 다각적인 관찰과 실행연구를 수행하였다. 마지막으로 진로독서 스토리텔링과 흥미유형의 진로 멘토 중심 도서목록 자료를 제시하고, 학교 현장에서의 진로독서 교육 활동을 제안하였다.

7차교육과정의 초.중.고등학교 금융소비자교육 내용분석 - 실업과와 사회과를 중심으로 - (Contents Analysis of Personal Finance Education Curriculums in the Elementary, Middle and High Schools - Focusing on the Curricular of Home Economics & Social Science -)

  • The purpose of this research was to find the solution of problems originated from financial illiteracy. To accomplish this task, the content which supposed to be taught in the area of personal finance in the Elementary, Middle and High School curricular were identified based on the previous research. Then, the personal finance content taught in public education system were analyzed rising content analysis of over 100 text books related to Personal finance education, such as Home Economics, Social Science, Economics, and Human Life Sciences, etc. Based on the results, followings were concluded. In spite of the fact that only few personal financial education topics were included in the 7th Education Curriculum, many topics taught in the subject of Social Science were duplicated in the Home Economics Curricular. To accomplish the ultimate goal of personal financial education, an introduction of the new course(Personal Finance) in the regular curriculum like U.S. is strongly recommended.

  • The development of information technology (IT) has led to changes in medical education. IT has been used for e-learning and e-teaching, e-assessment, e-logistics, and e-administration. Pusan National University School of Medicine has developed its own educational information system using IT to support students' learning and assessment and to manage curricular activities. Based on our experience, we propose six suggestions for designing new software, specifically regarding simplifying the design for users, communication with the programmer, a rapid cycle from design to implementation, orientation support for users, backup and security support, and obtaining patents. Collaborating with the Department of Medical Informatics within the School of Medicine has advantages, and an alliance among medical schools can simplify the development of software. In any case, curricular innovation should precede the introduction of technology because all technologies should support curricular goals.

Analysis of Pre-Service Teachers' Interpretation and Utilization of Non-Textual Elements in Mathematics Curriculum Materials

  • This study explores how pre-service teachers (PSTs) view, interpret, and utilize non-textual elements (NTEs) in mathematics curriculum. Fifty-two PSTs, who enrolled in a mathematics methods course at a Midwestern university in the U.S., engaged in a three-part task that consisted of evaluations and modifications of NTEs in the sample mathematics curriculum materials. We ascertain what PSTs consider to be the strengths and weaknesses of NTEs, how they define the primary goals of NTEs, and how they would work to modify or adapt existing NTEs with effective teaching in mind. By using the Curricular Noticing Framework, we can better understand how PSTs recognize opportunities within mathematics curriculum and gain a deeper understanding regarding how PSTs' prior experiences may affect their curricular-attending habits, which has consequences for their future teaching. Findings indicate that PSTs understand NTEs to be simply a support for traditional mathematics curriculum, rather than tools on their own. Also, they tend to prefer NTEs that are familiar to them. From our findings, we draw implications for teacher educators who support PSTs' interpretation and utilization of NTEs.

협업 필터링을 활용한 비교과 프로그램 추천 기법: C대학 적용사례 (Non-Curriculum Recommendation Techniques Using Collaborative Filtering for C University)

  • 많은 대학교에서 다양한 교과 및 비교과 활동을 통해 학생들의 취업 역량을 향상하기 위해 노력하고 있지만, 취업을 준비하는 학생마다 목표와 하고자 하는 활동이 다르다. 따라서 기존에 획일적이고 종합적으로 제공하고 있는 프로그램이 실제로 학생들에게 적합한지 여부를 판단하기 어려우므로 개인화 추천 시스템의 도입이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 충북대학교의 모든 학생에게 일괄적으로 제안되고 있는 비교과 프로그램을 학년 및 학과별로 분류하여 제시하는 방법을 제안하였다. 또한, 비교과 프로그램에 참여한 학생의 평점 데이터를 사용하여 협업 필터링 모델 3가지를 구현하고, 성능을 비교해 가장 정확도가 높은 모델로 개인화된 맞춤형 추천을 제안한다.

전남대학교 의과대학 졸업 후 진로지도 프로그램 설계와 운영 (Design and Implementation of a Career Planning Program at Chonnam National University Medical School)

  • Chonnam National University Medical School has designed and implemented two career planning programs: a three-phase curriculum-based program and a longitudinal non-curricular program over the course of 6 academic years. The three phases of the curriculum-based career planning program are self-assessment, career exploration, and field experience. The non-curricular career counseling program operates through a faculty advisor system, with each faculty member guiding a group of students from each academic year, and students in each year forming a mentor-mentee relationship. The non-curricular career exploration program consists of a student research support program, an international practice program in basic and clinical medicine, and a specialty exploration fair. A survey conducted among 38 graduates (54.3%) working as interns at Chonnam National University Hospital revealed that graduates preferred autonomous elective subjects within the curriculum-based program. They also responded positively to the faculty advisor system, through which they maintained close relationships. A focus group interview with three interns indicated that subjects providing direct experience in fields of interest and courses that students could choose freely were helpful in career decisions. Through follow-up research, it is necessary to design and operate a systematic career planning program based on an analysis of the needs of graduates taking part in a residency training program after selecting a medical specialty.
