  • This paper presents a model and analysis results of 3 phase utility interactive photovoltaic power generation system. The control system is composed of feed forward, feedback and PID system. The voltage source inverter system provides sinusoidal PWM at current for the loads of utility system. A phase to ground fault and 3 phase fault are analyzed, and the results are discussed.

  • This paper is an application of Modern control Theory to the control of a current-source inverter (CSI) fed Induction Motor Drive System. A Linear Quadratic-Gaussian (LQG) scheme is developed, in which the Kalman Filter is tuned for high robustness by a method due to Doyle and Stein(8). The design is carried out for a sample system and the robustness by analysis and computer simulation.

  • This paper introduces a power flow model of SSSC for voltage stability analysis of power system installed with Static Synchronous Compensators. The SSSC model is obtained from the injection model of voltage source inverter by adding the condition that SSSC injection voltage is in quadrature with current of SSSC-installed branch. This model is incorporated into modified CPF algorithm to study effects of SSSC on the security-constrained interface flow limit. Determination of interface flow limit is simply briefed. In case study a 771-bus real system is used to show that interface flow limit can be improved by appropriate control of SSSC in terms of voltage stability.

  • This paper presents a speed sensorless implementation of digital speed control system of Surface Permanent-Magnet Synchronous Motor(SPMSM) drives with a direct torque control(DTC). The system presented are stator flux and torque observer of stator flux feedback control model that inputs are current and voltage sensing of motor terminal with estimated rotor angle for a low speed operating area, two hysteresis band controllers, an optimal switching look-up table, rotor speed estimator, and IGBT voltage source inverter by using fully integrated control software. The developed speed sensorless control system are shown a good motion control response characteristic results and high performance features using 1.0Kw purposed servo drive SPMSM.

  • The compensation problem of error and various problems due to delay of speed sensor itself and speed detection have issued in case using speed sensor in the adjustable speed control of induction motor. This paper have applied the stator flux oriented vector control algorithm and space voltage vector PWM method in order to improve an dynamic character of voltage-source inverter system, and also used the better IP controller in the speed response than Pl controller as speed controller. This paper estimated the rotator speed using input current of inductor motor and flux component invoked through voltage drop by terminal voltage and stator resistor.

  • This paper presents the performance analysis of a sliding mode based hybrid controller for three phase voltage source inverter. The main objective of this analysis is to observe the effectiveness of the controller for fault ride through (FRT) capability improvement of the distributed generations (DG). The performance of the conventional PI based cascaded controller is also presented for comparison purpose.

  • 유도가열은 전자기 유도 현상을 이용하여 금속체를 직접 가열하는 방식이며 높은 변환 효율로 전기에너지를 열에너지로 변환할 있다. 이로 인해 금속의 단조, 용해, 표면경화, 풀림 등 여러 응용분야를 통해 철강 및 기계 산업에 기여하고 있다. 단조용 유도가열기 전원장치는 높은 전력용량을 사용하여 주로 SCR을 이용한 위상제어 정류기를 적용한다. 하지만 입력단의 저 역률 및 전류의 THD가 높은 단점을 가진다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 단점을 보안하기 위해 단조용 유도가열 작업에 맞는 인터리브드 방식의 벅 컨버터와 전류원 인버터를 사용한 고효율 유도가열 전원장치를 제안한다.

  • Fuel cell is remarkable for one of the clean energy recently. But in the fuel cell case, it has characteristics with low voltage and high current. Therefore, for using domestic power, it should be changed to the power source with commercial voltage and frequency. In this paper fuel cell simulator having electrical characteristics is designed and constructed instead of fuel cell stack. Voltage generated from fuel cell is from 39V to 72V dc and should be boosted to 400V dc for home appliances. A stand alone system including the inverter and DC/DC converter for the fuel cell is then proposed. Simulation result is used to support the analysis.

  • The paper presents a simulation model and analysis of a grid-connected variable speed wind energy conversion scheme (VSWECS) using the PSCAD/EMTDC software. The modeled system uses a variable speed drive, a fixed pitch angle, a synchronous generator as a wind generator and an AC-DC-AC conversion scheme, which facilitates the wind generation to efficiently operate under varying wind speed while connected to the distribution network. The power output of the WECS is controlled by the AC-DC-AC conversion scheme, the objective of which is to capture the maximum active power under varying wind conditions and to keep the voltage magnitude of the terminal bus at a specific level. Aerodynamic models are applied for a wind turbine model. An simulation analysis of the scheme in terms of its responding to wind variations is also presented.

  • A resonant type voltage source and power device and a control method using Pulse Density Modulation(PDM) power control and Pulse Width Modulation(PWM) voltage control for plasma sterilization are described, For the stability of discharge in the generating tube, it is desirable that the peak apply voltage is constant. The PDM power control is employed for sustaining the voltage constant at any generating tube input power. Moreover, to avoid the influence of input AC voltage fluctuation etc.. PWM voltage control with generating tube peak voltage feedback is used. Both functions were confirmed by the experiment with 6.5[kHz], 1.8[kW] inverter and generating tube. The effect of input synchronous PDM method for input current stabilizing is confirmed also.
